Judy and her staff went above and beyond to host our baseball team during our CASV trip. We had to reschedule several times due to our fluctuating baseball schedule, and Judy jumped through hoops to host our party of 50. Once there, the service was outstanding and the food was delicious. The staff took great care of us and our boys and the entire afternoon was seamless. I highly recommend visiting The Depot when you are in town. If you're looking for a place for your team gathering, this is the spot.

2 workers monitoring our every bite with no other guests in the isolated dining room!

I do not recommend this restaurant, especially if you are a person of color. I would give this place zero stars if I could! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was unwelcoming, and we immediately sensed discriminatory behavior. We came from California for our son's Cooperstown baseball tournament. We arrived as a party of five and were told there would be a 45-minute wait. We agreed to wait. The hostess then informed us that due to a large party of 30, our food would be further delayed. We still agreed to wait. However, shortly after, a party of three--who arrived after us--was seated before us. When a table for five became available, I inquired if we could be seated there. The hostess claimed it was reserved, yet that table remained empty throughout our visit. Eventually, after seeing that we were not leaving, she seated us in a back room completely separate from other guests. Even my children noticed and questioned why everyone else was seated in the main dining area while we were isolated. The food was subpar and barely touched. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was that two staff members kept entering the room throughout our meal, seemingly monitoring us as if we were a threat or would leave without paying. This was one of the most disheartening dining experiences I've ever had. The level of disrespect and racial bias was undeniable. I share this in hopes that others won't be subjected to the same treatment.

We found this spot as a good, family-friendly option while in town for my son's Cooperstown All-Star Village tournament. I had the chicken Caesar wrap and my nephew had a cheeseburger. The service was fast and friendly and the ambiance was fine, but not fancy. There was a team dinner being held in the back room when we were there, so it's great for that.

We Visited on Saturday July 6 and sign said "take out only" Tiffany greated us and let us know We were welcome to sit and order but could be a Little while since she was working alone. She had several other tables as well as us but was very attentive and friendly. She answered our questions and we were super happy with our selections! "Garbage" is their signature wing sauce flavor and it was delicious, as well as their mild and garlic Parmesan sauce. We wanted fries but when she asked if we wanted to try the sweet potato tots, we couldn't resist. They were amazing! To end, Tiffany sang happy bday to my mom iand brought a delicious "birthday cake" chocolate mousse dessert. So good The Depot is an old rail station with history and lots of old pics of the old trains! ( sorry pics are of 1/2 eaten food. Always forget to take pics and dig in )

Absolutely INCONCEIVABLE how amazing this place is! We…read morerecently stayed in the area for a youth baseball tournament in Cooperstown and ended up eating here THREE nights in a row--that is how phenomenal it is. The food is incredible. The owner and chef is immensely talented, serving up fresh, farm-to-table dishes. Because everything is so fresh, the specifics change nightly, but everything we ordered was a huge win. The beef carpaccio was dynamite, and the Prosciutto Pizza, house-made focaccia bread, "farm goodies," bolognese, hangar steak, and caprese ravioli were all absolutely delicious. You can taste the quality and care in every single bite. (Sorry no pics...we were too busy eating!) Beyond the stellar food, the cocktail menu is an absolute blast. They have a whole lineup of delicious, creative craft drinks with "The Princess Bride" themed names! Trying the different drinks became half the fun of our dinners. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the service. We had a server named Beth whom we absolutely loved. By the third night, she knew exactly what my daughter wanted to drink as soon as we sat down! The owners and the entire staff are warm, welcoming, and treat you like family. If you are anywhere near Oneonta or Cooperstown, do yourself a huge favor and eat here. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town!

This is a perfect example of why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. From the outside, the…read morerestaurant is a bit unusual. It's an older house painted red with black trim, featuring a newer deck that, at least when we visited, had no furniture on it. At first glance, you might assume it's a neighborhood sports bar or a casual local hangout. Step inside, however, and you'll find something completely different. The atmosphere is warm, intimate, and inviting, with a classic dining ambiance that makes it feel like a hidden gem tucked away in the neighborhood. We were in Oneonta for Cooperstown All Star Village and were excited to discover this cozy farm-to-table restaurant. The food was excellent, and the setting made for a memorable dining experience. We started with the Crab Puffs, made with empanada dough, crab rangoon filling, and a jalapeño-green onion emulsion. They were creative, flavorful, and a great way to begin the meal. For our entrée, we shared the daily fish special, halibut served with farm-fresh potatoes and carrots. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the fresh ingredients really showcased the farm-to-table concept. The dish was simple, fresh, and delicious. To finish the meal, we shared the Crème Brûlée for dessert. It was outstanding, with a perfectly caramelized sugar crust and a rich, creamy custard that provided the perfect ending to an excellent dinner. Despite the restaurant being packed, we were seated immediately and received excellent service throughout the evening. The staff was attentive, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly. The drink menu was another highlight, offering a solid selection of craft beers, wines, and cocktails. Overall, this was one of the best meals we had during our trip. Great food, excellent service, a cozy atmosphere, and a unique setting make this restaurant well worth seeking out if you're in Oneonta.
