The space is bright, and has just the right amount of buzz with music and conversation. We really enjoyed the comfortable (and clean!) booths lining the windows and every dish ordered was on point. My family was in town to visit relatives and we wanted to thank them for their hospitality by taking everyone to breakfast. Found Egg Bistro on Yelp and it was also recommended by my sister that lives nearby. We arrived at 8 am on a Saturday and they accommodated our group of 12 by putting tables together. (I wouldn't arrive much later with a large group because it filled up quickly) Our waitress Kristen was pleasant and professional and made sure our experience was smooth. Additionally, the staff seemed to be a tight unit and everyone supported each other well. The food arrived at optimal temperature etc. The menu has a lot of great choices and everyone found something they liked. They also include things that might be an extra charge elsewhere. (2 eggs, a meat, and potatoes or grits were included with many of the breakfast choices) I went with the pineapple upside down pancakes, turkey sausages, and grits. The pancakes were awesome, the pineapple was a nice addition. All of the side items were great also. My wife enjoyed her omelette and the kids were happy also. Nephews destroyed their dishes, cousins, parents, etc were all pleased. The locals are lucky to have Egg Bistro. I'll be back when we're in town again! read more

We've been to the EB once or twice but for wtvr reason, I've never written a review. It's not Bc it's bad; I think it just escaped me then it got too far out from our visit for me to be accurate with details. Anyway, we went on a Saturday and remembered that they have a very dog friendly patio area. So we grabbed our black lab and drove rover to find a large gathering of people outside. I went in and gave my name and number; one of the hostesses quotes a 20 minute wait while someone who looked like a supervisor asked me about my seating preference. I told her we brought our pup and would need patio seating; she smiled and said, "ahh, it's prob looking like 10-15 minutes." I replied "that's perfect." Delicious food and mimosa flights were the best way to start our day! I have to respect that this place continues to thrive despite many brunch options in our area- for great reason! Grab a mimosa and peruse the menu because you'll surely find something to order and enjoy. It's busy, but it's kept clean with friendly service. When you're hungover, it's a safe space to attempt to recover without judgment. All of their benedicts are delicious, but corsica and southern bistro benedicts are the best. The food is seasoned, and I typically get hasbrowns too since I enjoy to split my food with my friends. I have eaten breakfast in some great places during my travels but this is by far the best place I have been to! First, there was no waiting getting in... and trust me... the place was packed! It is all about efficiency and this place was been managed (Ms. Cheyenne) like a Navy ship! Ms. Cheyenne and her coworkers were synchronized with everything (seating, serving, cleaning, etc...). My server Cindy... the best part of everything... polite, smile always on, knowledgeable, and kept checking on me and my party at all times and never let me lack of things like water, napkins, utensils, and little essentials that you normally run out of in other places! The ambience was so nice... people was seated comfortably, not on top of each other, background music, bathrooms super clean, just like being at home! Comfortable! Now the food... Perfect! I will let my pictures do the talking about how it looked but I had plenty of everything (at a great price) and even though I was getting full by just looking at it, bite after bite, my hand kept reaching for more (well prepared, well presented, excellent taste!)! Stopped by for some breakfast at The Egg Bistro the other day. I'm a sucker for eggs Benedict and I always tend to try a different version I haven't tried when I see one. The one that caught my eye was the Southern Bistro Benedict. It was fried green tomatoes atop grilled cornbread with pork carnitas, two poached eggs, hollandaise, and bacon. Was it as good as it sounds? No....BETTER! Definitely my favorite one yet! The wait wasn't terrible, I let my wife out by the time I parked and walked up she was already seated. Our waitress was kind, bubbly, and informative she informed us on the half off mimosas which we decided to try out and see... delish and I'm not even a mimosas person. Wife loved them. The wire had the country fried steak, with sausage gravy, she enjoyed it no complaints other than having to pay 3$ for 1 pancake. I ordered the shrimp & grits should have called it just grits & bacon because the shrimp or lack of shrimp was not there, as well as the grits were grainy as if they combined two pots and one was done but the other was not. I couldn't wait to go get me a Monte Cristo. That was no longer on the menu to my disappointment. I tried a different item and when it arrived to my table, nothing was hot. It was barely warm at best. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. For the price I paid for my meal I was expecting better attention to quality. Unfortunately since they no longer serve my favorite breakfast anymore, along with the quality of the food I received today, I don't think I'll be back. Now the food, we were excited to eat the food because it looked so good. The pancakes were so fluffy and good, the eggs were good, the shredded hash browns were good. Although, once my syrup was done out the container, i noticed some little white/black egg looking things, like bug eggs it looked like. Then it made me think the place was dirty and I didn't feel good after. I was too shocked and in disbelief to ask about it, especially because our server kept walking away fast lol. Between the cold food , salty steak , very poor attendance as the restaurant was empty with maybe 6 tables , and let's not forget counting kids under 1 as adults in order to put an automatic 18% gratuity on the bill lmaoooo ! This place is greedy and very poor service and food. The manager came over to apologize for the mistakes but even with trying to fix the wrongs and discount whatever needed to be adding the automatic gratuity made up for what they even discounted so it was all pointless. Everything was terrible kind of sucks I'm in the navy so I'm fairly new to the area and thought I'd found a good breakfast spot. I was in full uniform but the apparently the manager wouldn't allow the server to give me a discount before making me walk out to my car to get my ID. You think I stole my uniform and got dressed up to swindle you out of $1.46. It was insulting and embarrassing for myself and my waitress. Customer service is more important than anything these days. You should work in this and tbh the food was nothing special. The menu was very confusing. We waited about 5 minutes for a booth and were greeted by the awesome and friendly Kim who we soon learned has a following of regular brunch folks who come to see her. I eventually settled on The Easy Choice with two eggs, two turkey sausage links, home hash browns and a biscuit for $7.49 with a small side of fruit. The side of fruit was great - bananas, blueberries, grapes, strawberries, melon and pineapple. Generous portion and nice variety - I was pleased. It's a ton of food. Service remained excellent throughout the meal by the friendly Kim and our food was out within about 10 minutes. I tried a bite of the Oreo pancakes they were really delicious, large-sized and light and fluffy. This is going to be added into the regular rotation. I saw tons of other items I'd have liked to try on the menu so this could be an easy spot to visit again and again and not get tired of. We like going before 8 to get the early specials, which are HUGE portions at a good price. We like the seasonal pancakes, but I will say the regular pancakes are better at their Chesapeake location.
