Detailed Review: Corsica Benedict: 5/5 The best eggs benedicts I had on our trip. Perfectly cooked eggs and I really enjoyed the heavy garlic flavor. I was worried the bread would be too hard but it was perfect with the sauce. Mimosa flight: 4/5 Really just tasted like slightly spicy juice. Pretty good still. Bloody Mary: 4.5/5 Really good flavor. It was a little watered down but barely noticeable. Overall, really enjoyed the food. The service was a little slow at times otherwise I would have given 5 stars. I have been hear 3 Times. The first time the cream chip beef was separating all sides were cold. I would not eat it. The waitress never check back she was to involved doing her side work. I got up and asked for a manager and he explained what happened The cook made a mistake and had it on a biscuit and transferred it to toast while my sides got cold, good mgr. my second visit was very good but there beagles are like bread not real beagle. It was fairly priced. my third visit I had a chicken for $12.95 for what I got. was a joke. it wasn't wrapped like normal I had to bite thru 3 to for layers of wrap. I opened up and it was little bits chicken in lettuce. no chicken strips what a price margin. Worst chicken wrap I ever had. It as just a pile in the middle. Some things are fairly priced and others are not. You just need to know what to order. Good place over all. read more

Food is a bit better than ok, not scrumptious. Drinks are good, pricey. Service, ok. I left my box with food on table. They threw it out as soon as we left. Most GOOD quality restaurants will hold 9n to your boxes for a time, knowing the customers will come back to get their food. The bill was 108.00 plus 25% gratuity. They could wait 10 minutes before tossing the food away. It's really upsetting when one has experienced the way finer restaurants function vs a place like this. Never going back. Egg Bistro is my go to spot for good food thats reasonably priced. I usually get a table right away and the staff is always nice!! The dig in, Perrys Benedict, cronuts and Fried Pickle burger are my fav menu items. They also have good mimosas!! Most meals are $10-$13 which i love that its affordable.. Its always pretty clean in there and its not over packed like the Kempsville location. If your in Va beach this is definitely a place you'll wanna try. They have different weekly specials and theres something for everyone. They do close early so keep that in mind. Its 5 stars for me. Shout out to Bob the cook. Hes a nice guy and the fact that he stayed after closing time to make our food is awesome. I appreciate things like that. Dyonne was our server, we were a party of 18, and was very attentive and efficient. I love, love, love this place!!! They know me better than I know myself!!! They ALL know me by name, they know my drink order, food order and all the little quirks when I come in half asleep at the crack of dawn. Went for a holiday brunch for 14 from work. They did a fantastic job! The food came out fast and was oh so amazing! I had the Easy Plate - 2 scrambled eggs done perfectly (I'm funny about scrambled eggs - I can't stand when they are left on the grill too long and get crunchy. Not these - light and fluffy goodness. And OH the bacon!! Not just well cooked but great flavor, too. I wish I knew their supplier. It's been awhile since I've had grits done this well! They were rich and so creamy. This place is great! The service was wonderful. My wife's pancake came out cold and tough and the waitress apologized and quickly replaced it with a fresh one that was delicious. I got the Reuben omelette and it was amazing! They make their corned beef in house. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch. read more

Today's #dateyourwifeWednesday took place at The Egg Bistro. It gets 4 out of 5 stars from me. Let's talk about it! The Bad: Technically, there wasn't anything "bad," per se, but I will say that my Farmhouse Burger (Grilled apple slices, bacon, goat cheese (but I replaced goat cheese with provolone) and roasted jalapeño raspberry drizzle. $12.99) THAT SOUNDS INCREDIBLE!!! But it just tasted ok. Better than average, but less than I hoped. Those ingredients sounded amazing together so that was slightly disappointing. The burger itself didn't taste well seasoned. The fries I ordered with my sandwich were just ok as well, but they did have Old Bay and have me some to sprinkle on my fries, which is a personal fav!!! The Good: Our food came out FAST!!! LIGHTNING FAST! That was awesome. My wife ordered the Banana Nut French Toast (Housemade banana nut bread dipped in a signature French toast batter and grilled to perfection. Topped with a drizzle of vanilla cream and caramel bourbon sauces with butter. $11.99) but got the drizzle on the side. That was very good!!! Tasted more like a dessert than a entree, but really good! The presentation of the food was also amazing!!! It all looked incredible! Our waiter was very friendly and helpful as well. Upon entering they were already pretty busy so the hostess took our phone number and asked us to wait in the car until they texted us. It didn't take them long and we probably waited about 5 minutes. It was my first time there. My wife and son have been there multiple times and have always raved about the food. For the purposes of this review, I'm gonna start with the food and service. First off all, the food was excellent. I had the "Music City Hot", my wife had the "Banana Nut Bread French Toast", and my son and nephew both had pancakes and bacon. Everything was delicious, but I do have to especially rave on the "Banana Nut Bread". That thing unbelievably good. Our wait staff were friendly and accommodating; I couldn't ask for better service. As I have done before, for another restaurant, I only gave 4 stars because I have yet to try other items on the menu. Now my only criticism, lay strictly on the hostesses. There were three young ladies, and not one greeted us upon entry. No "good mornings", "hello",... nada. One did smile though. I asked for a table for four and I got this monotone voice (from the youngest hostess, I'm guessing) asking for my name and number because there was a wait time. I don't know if she was in training, but she needs to step up her game in customer service. If you're reading this and you're thinking I'm being petty, do know that I've been teaching job skills to students for quite some time. If I was her job coach, I'd pull her aside and talk to her about smiling, inflection, etc. That kind of stuff goes a long way. In conclusion; the place has fabulous food and my wait staff were excellent. Definitely looking forward to going back. read more

Dear Egg Bistro, please come to California with me and open a location out there! lol. We're moving and I'm the most sad about not having Egg Bistro for breakfast on the weekends. Such a good breakfast spot, I am obsessed with the smashed Benedict and the breakfast bowl is my 2nd go to! And you can't pass up the mimosas when you're celebrating! Just wanted to do a quick update. We ate outside for their COVID-19 "Phase one" and let me tell you, this place has an amazing system in place!!! It is VERY clear the management discussed and thought this process through. All staff are masked and gloved, they CONSTANTLY DEEP CLEAN, they bring out a box of gloves to do your transactions, they keep the proper space........ they just have it down and very comfortable eating here. Visited the place because it was recommended to me by a friend. Looked it up on yelp, read some reviews, and decided to drive over. The place gets pretty busy and packed early during breakfast hours. Very friendly and attentive waitresses. I ordered the carnitas bowl and supercharged (oatmeal) which both looked so good and tasted even better. My eggs were cooked to perfection, sunny side up, the only way to cook eggs haha. The oatmeal tasted delicious after mixing in the brown sugar, honey, and bananas that accompany it. To wash everything down I ordered a flight of mimosas which were very delicious. Will def visit again if I'm ever back in the area. read more

We decided to try this place out on a whim and were so happy we did. The banana bread French toast was unbelievably good. My husband got the meat lovers omelette and loved it, he eats a lot of meat lovers omelettes and gave this one high marks. It was so good we went back again. This place sounded really good on paper, but I ended up being disappointed. I will say that our server was lovely and she was the best thing about the experience. #1: They have a build your own burrito option with meats, cheeses, and vegetables to select from. I like potatoes in my breakfast burrito, but potatoes weren't listed as a "chooseable" vegetable, but they were available as a side. I asked if I could add it and then have it put in the burrito but was told by supervisor that, "no, we can't put them IN the burrito". I got the Corsica Benedict instead and it was okay. #2: They offer Mimosa flights which is part of what sold us on this venue in the first place; they have so many interesting ones to choose from. Well - it turns out they do not. You can choose from 4 mimosa flavors that only have pureed fruit added to them vs. the long list of unique flavors we wanted to try. They could at least offer this option with an upcharge. #3: A food-runner brought our meals and didn't stop to ask if we needed anything, just whirled away and walked off. We didn't have silverware. Nobody would make eye-contact with us. My husband had to go up to the bar counter and wait for a couple minutes for someone to acknowledge him before we could eat our meals. I don't remember what my husband had to eat, but he was similarly left with a lackluster experience. We're not from the area so we definitely won't be back, but we probably wouldn't if we could. read more
