I'm glad we decided to check out The Egg Bistro in Virginia Beach location. The atmosphere was comfy, the food was tasty and the service was impeccable! Kimberly, who was our server, treated us like gold! She was patient and knowledgeable. She addressed our needs and wants while making us feel like we were her number one focus. This place does not match the 4.5 star rating! We went there after Hunts Club and our group ordered a variety of items recommended by previous yelpers and the waitress. I ordered the Southwest omelette and the chicken within the omelette tasted like it was reheated in the microwave. My wife said that she had better cat food than the corn beef hash. My mom's Asian salad tasted just okay but the breaded chicken had significantly more bread than chicken. My sister's grilled chicken sandwich lacked flavor. This place couldn't even get my iced tea right, it was bitter as hell. The only positive experience we had was the service. Our waitress was on point. If this placed received this high of a rating for breakfast/brunch, then I feel for the citizens of this town. read more

So glad to see Egg Bistro in VB. When I was still working in Suffolk, I was a regular at what was then the Broken Egg Bistro. Great Service and superior food quality were their hallmarks. Happy to report that also holds true for the VB restaurant. We've been twice since they opened - the second visit included our grandkids and they loved it. Mimosas and Bloodies are top notch - potent and flavorful. Service was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Huge menu makes your choice a difficult decision. Omelettes, chicken fried steak, eggs benedict, to name a few of our selections, were absolutely delicious. Food was hot and plated attractively. Atmosphere is open and spacious but quite noisy when it's a full house. Small price to pay for a great dining experience. We'll be back - often. read more

The beyond breakfast bowl was amazing. Skeptical at first until my wife got it and I tasted the sausage. I have since had it twice more and have nothing negative to say about it. I recommend anyone to go out of there comfort zone and try this option. read more

This is our first time at the VB location. Our server Kim and she was so awesome! She gave us both some great food recommendations. The food was absolutely delicious. Kim checked on us often and recommended we download the Egg Bistro app. It has several goodies on there for money off your bill which we took advantage of right there and then. We will definitely be back to this location often. Highly advise people go here for breakfast and brunch. Open 7 to 2. They also have great military discounts!!! read more

Delicious breakfast! Had the bananas-infused pancakes with eggs bacon and hash-browned potatoes . Very tasty! Tasty ! The other eight in our party had a variety of breakfast foods that looked equally delicious. Service was great as well. I've been to the other location a while back.. I forgot how delicious it was. The new location didn't disappoint! Our breakfasts were spectacular My daughter had the cronut French toast and I had the blueberry pancakes Sooo good! Also, My side of grits were the creamiest I've ever had. Get there before 9 am on weekends for half off mimosa's! The fruit crushed mimosa flights are worth every penny. Great atmosphere and family friendly. When it's not an oven outside the patio area is really nice especially with kids. I recommend getting there early to avoid a long wait during brunch/weekend hours. read more

The place is awesome!! My husband and I came by on our way to sandbridge for a quick breakfast. They have a huge menu that is ALL delicious!! So many different mimosas and bloody Mary's! What I love about this place through is there phenomenal service. I have a lot of respect for servers and wait staff and these people work so hard!! They are so sweet and accommodating. Right when I sat down I had several people come up and make sure I was taken care of. They really make you feel right at home even if you've had a bad day and I can't wait to come back!! read more

New restaurant to the Strawbridge area. Food was great, price was reasonable, service was outstanding.

Would I come back? Yes. The cronuts were amazing. I never heard of a cronut and this is the only place I've ever had a cronut. So it would seem that they have the cronut market on lock. The food portions were good and I left full. However, it's breakfast food so I don't expect much. I do expect good service. The restaurant wasnt extremely busy, yet the waitress was preoccupied. She was looking away while taking the order. I asked for hash browns well done and orange juice with my meal. Did I get either? Nope. Lucky for them cronuts. read more

Dear Owners/Management -- Please google 'avocado toast'. Just... PLEASE, do it. Avocado toast is not four, sad, 1/8" thick, cross-ways slices of avocado on one piece of dry bread, and three, even sadder slices on another. (Slices so thin they flopped like over-cooked pasta on my fork.) Poached eggs should absolutely not have hard, pale yellow yolks. Ever! It seems like if you are going to put "EGG" in the name of your restaurant, you might should know how to properly cook one. Or, at least hire some cooks who do. This was our second trip to the VB location, and we will not go back. I've eaten there twice... and had to send my food back, uneaten, twice. I'm not even going to elaborate on the pathetic omelets from our first trip -- I figure everyone can have one bad day. I usually would give three strikes, but the astounding terribleness, ridiculously skimpy proportion of main/flavorful ingredients to the basics, and overall disappointment were just a bit too much. (Your omelets are just as over-cooked as your poached eggs.) I can't tell you how embarrassing it was to have to send back my food *again*!... that's something I try to avoid, as I can usually find something likable, or at least satisfactory, when we eat out. I'm giving two stars only because your wait-staff is pleasant. Other notes: -- the Bloody Marys are fine but nothing exceptional -- noise level is over-the-top/deafening at busy times -- the Surry sausage is absolutely excellent and is the best item in the restaurant read more

I started coming here almost daily a month ago and I love it. The staff are all friendly, service is timely, the place is very clean, and everything on the menu has been delicious. I like to try something new on the menu just about every day and my favorites have been the Black and Bleu Benedict, and the Chicken and Waffles. I work as a trainer right down the street at The Iron Asylum and I enjoy the food for the flavor, as well as the healthy options they offer. The environment is very chill and I use relaxed atmosphere to read a lot and program my client's exercise routines and schedules. I probably spend about an average of 1.5 hours each visit. read more

Awesome place! Service was great! We had probably the best bloody Mary ever! The I had a western omlet and my wife had the vegetable omelet. Both stuffed with plenty of fresh ingredients. First time visiting egg bistro and I was not impressed. Even though we were seated pretty quickly our server took forever to get to us, that pretty much set the standard for how the rest of the meal went with her, we never got any refills and by time she got back to us after taking our order, we asked her for the check. The menu was huge, honestly way too much to look at I ended up picking something I saw a picture of off o yelp. When I finally got my food it looked and smelled great however, nothing was thinly chopped, everything was huge chunk s. I had giant pieces of onions and my steak was nothing but fat. It just looked like some one half ass cut everything, cooked it and threw it on my plate, I wish I would have take a picture and attached it. Overall was not impressed with the the food I ordered and even less with the service. The place was clean, and really cute and we were seat almost immediately and that's really why I am giving them three stars. read more
