Our 18 year old 3 car garage recently got a makeover. Husband and I decided we would hire professionals to epoxy the floors. I've done a lot work with contractors. And this was probably the best experience I've had to date. My first point of contact at Epoxy Garage Guy was Michael, owner, sales person, project manager etc. Left him a message and he returned the call same day. Quote was straight forward, competitive. Scheduling was 3 weeks out; so plan ahead. Robert "Bob" and Steve did our install which involved prepping the floors, primer coat, broadcasting the flakes, top coat, and clean up over the course of 2 working days. I'm sure all their installers are great. But Bob and Steve just had the best attitude, their work was clean, and above all they listened to me when I had concerns. We went with salt & pepper. I posted some photos. Note that the primer coat has a color base so the final appearance is a warm grey floor. Bobby and his crew came to start the job and worked efficiently to get our garage floor prepped and answered my million questions. They gave us the pros and cons of the colors we were considering for our garage floor. In 2 days they had the floor prepped sealed with a moisture barrier and painted. My experience with Epoxy Garage Guy was 5 stars throughout the whole process. They got back to me in a timely matter regarding quotes, scheduling and any questions I had about the process. Jennifer and Ricky were the people that did the epoxy floor install. They were punctual and wasted no time. They explained what needed to be done and approximately how long it would take. Since my garage was new, the preparation time was not as long so they only took about 1.5 hrs from prep to laying down the epoxy and chips. On the second day, they were once again punctual and took only about 30-45 min to clean the loose chips and put on the poly clear coat. After a a couple of days I was able to walk on the garage floor and put back small items. They suggested another 2-3 days before parking the cars back in the garage. If you are on the fence about doing your floors, just do it and use these guys. You will have great looking floors. read more

I had my garage floors done back at the end of September 2020, just prior to moving in to our brand new build. I am so glad I had them done because 1) they look gorgeous (I went with sandstone) and 2) I have 2 teens with significant special needs and don't have a lot of extra time trying to keep my garage floors clean & maintained for their safety, ESPECIALLY during this pandemic. A couple weeks ago, our garage door somehow opened about a foot during a major windstorm here....there was quite a mess with an enormous amount of dirt and debris blown in. I previously had RaceDeck tiles which I thought were OK but not as nice as epoxy floors had in the past. Communication was very good and I was able to get it scheduled within a 2-3 week window. Jen communicated with me and showed up right on time. She did the initial prep and applied the epoxy and chips. The next day a second crew showed up and completed the project cleaning up and applying the clear coat. I just bought a house and wanted to get the epoxy flooring done. I reached out to several companies, including national chains but they were not going to be available until 3-4 weeks out. I then spoke to Mike who was able to get me on the schedule, with a very reasonable and fair price. We got our flooring done quickly and it looked beautiful. I was mistaken and thought they had missed a step in covering with the clear coat. When I called, they had no issues of coming back out. As it turned out, there was a clear coat but just the flakes were making it more 'rough'. Regardless, they placed another clear coat over it so that it will look perfect. Ricky and Alex were wonderful and professional. They didn't need to fix this as there technically was nothing wrong, but they went above and beyond to make this perfect by layering another clear coat. This is a local, family owned company. It felt great to be supporting our local community rather than some of the impersonal chain companies. read more

I am giving The Epoxy Garage Guy 5 stars even though he has not done any work for us. You see, we've been in our home for less than 2 years. We purchased the option to have our 3-car garage epoxy coated before move in. The builder's flooring company arranged everything. Well, fast forward 8 months post move-in (2017) and a milky/chalky substance was creeping up through the epoxy coating. We submitted a service ticket through the builder, and thankfully the garage floor was still under warranty. Turns out the company put very little adhesive and did very little prep work before laying the epoxy chips down (although the floor LOOKED great, it wasn't). Unfortunately, it took another 9 months before any remediation work started. The builder chose another company to redo the epoxy. Unfortunately, the builder's representative lacked the customer service we were accustomed to. In addition, the rep approved the epoxy chip color without even consulting us. Moreover, there were many issues with the new epoxy application. The builder reps and the new flooring company would not address one of the issues (there were others) that kept bothering us and that is the splotchy and thin layers that could be seen. Fast forward to today, I reached out to 3 epoxy flooring companies. The Epoxy Garage Guy was one of them. Mike responded timely and knowledgeably to my inquiry and issues. He offered a quote for a redo and made recommendations as to how we might consider approaching the current flooring company. Mike's response was the most comprehensive compared to one other company that did respond to my inquiry. The third company never responded. Thank you Mike for providing your opinion and expertise to our recent epoxy garage floor applied by another company. Thank you for validating what we felt was wrong with our current epoxy floor application. We will definitely contact you should we decide to move forward with a red. read more
