We came for Sunday lunch, from the instant you step into Flying Pig, the aroma of the kitchen whets your appetite. The host and servers greet you with bright smiles and genuine hospitality. The menu reads like a carnivore's fantasy: Brisket Burn End - offered as tacos or tossed with mac&cheese, it's cooked to a melt‑in‑your‑mouth perfection. Pulled Pork - juicy and richly flavored; be sure to sample the house‑made North Carolina‑style BBQ sauce. Baby Back Ribs - my top pick. These fall‑off‑the‑bone ribs can be served with the sauce on the side or brushed with a tangy‑spicy glaze, finished with a light char for that satisfying crunch. Flying Shrimp & Signature Coleslaw - the crisp, golden shrimp pairs beautifully with the refreshing slaw. Flying Pig guarantees a memorable, finger‑licking experience that will have you planning your next visit before the last rib disappears. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic, expertly smoked meats in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

The Cobb salad is a Mountain of deliciousness! Not only is the chicken tender and juicy, but plentiful as well! The onion rings on top are unbelievably tasty and massive! One of the best salads I've ever had!! The service is always quick and friendly! And the place is cozy and pleasant.

I haven't been here in a while... I forgot how good this place is. Our group of 9 came here for dinner Sunday night and had the best time. The food was so good and came out fast and the service was excellent. A lot of young people work here and they do such an awesome job. We will definitely be adding this to our weekend dinner rotation. My only complaint was the orange crush I got didn't taste like it had any hooch in it.

Clean restaurant with a pretty decently sized BBQ menu. Ordered a hickory smoked pulled pork plate and paid an upcharge to upgrade the protein to Brisket burnt ends. I was a bit disappointed with the size of the brisket burnt ends, it was more reminiscent of shredded brisket and I found it to be too sweet. The sauce that it was cooked in was abundant and there was a little puddle of reddish oil at the bottom of my ramekin that held the meat. If you've ever had the boneless ribs from a Chinese restaurant that's what it tasted like. The pineapple coleslaw was good, however and a fresh tasting side. The fries were crispy and well seasoned, as well. I also enjoyed the house salad that came with the plate. Our server was really kind and attentive, the restaurant itself was very clean and I found the booth seating to be very comfortable. I really enjoyed how much natural lighting was present throughout the restaurant via the large windows. I would return but don't think the specialty meats (burnt ends) was worth it and would probably stick to other BBQ staples like pulled pork or ribs.

Came in late at night on a Federal holiday and found really great energy at the place! The Monday special is a half rack of ribs and a side, at half price, $13.95: What a great deal! There are booths, tables, high tops, and seats at a bar so long, there are three TVs showing sports. Parking in a strip mall lot, street entrance is handicap accessible, and the attire is casual. The BBQ was melting off the bone, perfect. Strongly recommend!

The food and service was awesome! We each had the pulled pork plate with Mac and cheese, slaw, baked beans and sweet potato fries. Aiden was very attentive as well as the front greeter. We will definitely come back.

I brought my mom for her 80th birthday celebration, her choice. I ordered a blt burger and fries. I was expecting to see 2-3 pieces of bacon but what I received was one piece of bacon broken in half. If the beef wasn't there, would you still call it a blt? Serenity was a great waitress and also brought me a better slice of tomato instead of the butt of the tomato, that slice goes in the trash or cut up in a salad. I did enjoy the fried pickles, but my burger was just mediocre and the fries have no seasoning.

The meat, what there was of it, was a bit dry but had a nice smokey flavor. The fries were baked with a nondescript coating and the small container of baked beans was my favorite part. The cornbread was tasteless and the butter that came with it had a strange, bitter taste. There were good parts too. The staff was very pleasant. I was also fortunate to be there on a Thursday night. That's when they host a bluegrass jam session and my meal, such as it was, had some surprisingly good live musical accompaniment. Finally, Billy's shares a parking lot with the dine-in AMC theater. And, say what you will about the food at Billy's, it's a heck of a lot better than what you can get at the movie. My recommendation for an OK dinner and movie experience is to come here first for dinner and then walk the few hundred feet to see your show. And, if you come here on Thursday you might even decide to skip the movie and stay here for the music.

I arrived shortly after they opened on a Thursday and was the first customer in the place. I reviewed the menu, especially the hot dog options, and went with their BBQ slaw dog and a side of mac and cheese. Service was not overly kind to me but as regulars came in, I saw the hospitality really shine. As I was filling up my drink, I saw all their sauce options and added a side of fries to my order as well as a vehicle for sauce tasting. When my plate came out, I was really pleased with the look of the hot dog. Less so with the sides. I know everything is expensive right now and places are doing their best but $2.50 per side when being given that amount seemed a little off. The Mac and cheese was good, very creamy and cheesy. The fries were hot and crispy. Could have used some extra seasoning. The hot dog was good. I added extra BBQ sauce but the bbq on the dog (NC style) was nice with a good vinegary bite. The slaw was ok. I prefer a smaller chop on the cabbage just for ease of eating. The sauces were all really good with the Wildwood hot being my favorite.

We stopped by mid-bike ride for a meal and were grateful for their exceptionally kind and patient service and hospitality. Bathrooms available and ample places to park since it is a part of a shopping center. The staff gave me an overview of the different types of BBQ: NC is more vinegar based, Red is Virginia's take with a tomato base, and Just BBQ is your classic sweet BBQ sauce. I of course had to go with the Red since we were visiting Virginia for the first time! I'm so glad I did. The food came out exceptionally fast and everything was fresh and hot! I seriously can't express how good the BBQ was. It was juicy, flavorful, and everything you'd want from BBQ. I'll be searching for a sauce like that for years to come since I'm not local! The potato salad was also excellent and the mac n cheese, despite being a bit mushy, had a good flavor. I absolutely loved the corn muffins - no notes! The best part of our visit was getting to chat with the locals who approached us asking about our bike ride. They were all very friendly and made me feel as if I was a local myself. I highly recommend Wildwood to anyone in this area or passing through. I would drive (and bike) a good ways to have this meal again. Thank you so much!

When I walked in the door I was met with less than enthusiastic staff. No personality at all. I hate talking bad about staff. Most work real hard, maybe it was just a bad day. I ordered the large pork bbq sandwich with slaw and a chopped brisket (what?) sandwich with slaw. And a side of baked beans (pint). The bun was very stiff and the brisket had no smoke smell or flavor. This is why I don't care for chopped brisket. You can't see the smoke ring or crust which is why I'm not sure what the cut was. It was a bit dry and chewy. The pint of beans had no flavor either. They seemed like they came from a can. The pork bbq was the same. For the price I paid for 3 sandwiches it definitely was not a good value. I'm afraid I can't give you a good review on this visit. Poor impression and poor brisket. Lethal combination.

The hush puppies were good, as was the corn nuggets, which I LOVE, but it definitely isn't as generous as the fries are. The sandwiches were really tasty. The pulled pork was good, but I think the fried bologna was amazing. The bologna was super thick, charred, and topped with onions and peppers and cheese. It tasted like the most interesting Philly cheesesteak I have ever had. I will definitely crave this again. The cheese fries were really good, plentiful, and they had a slightly spicy kick, like maybe there was some jalapeño juice in the cheese? So good! The food is pretty inexpensive too considering. A sandwich piled high with pulled pork and coleslaw sets you back around $8, and add a few dollars more to get a fountain soda and a side. The bbq sauces were good, but nothing insane. I couldn't tell the difference between their sweet and spicy sauces, but the sweet peach one is pretty unique and tasty. I ordered a bag of pork rinds to take home and they were just okay. I've had some really spectacular ones that are made fresh, and these were made the day prior, so they were good, just lacking the warm, fluffy, melt in your mouth goodness that Hogshead has. I probably won't order them again, even though I did like the smoky seasoning blend they put on top. The restaurant itself is very clean, and the lady taking our order was very nice and helpful. I'll definitely be back.
