Absolutely the worst Home Depot I've been in. First of all, Javier in hardware is extremely rude and acts like YOU owe him something when asking a general question. The employees in flooring are all clueless about carpet or laminate install. On 3 different occasions I was told 3 different things about install and haul away prices. The store manager there has a very bad attitude problem. When I asked to speak with her about one of her employees, she appeared to be agitated about me wanting to speak with her. Now I know why the employees there have bad attitudes. It all starts with management. Do yourself a favor and go to Lowe's in La Quinta where they treat you better. read more

I bought a counterdepth Samsung fridge for 2400. I was talked into getting the the extended warranty. From the day it was delivered we have had problems with it. It was leaking water and dripping constantly. The delivery guy said it was normal until the filter cycles a bit. Ok. Nope. So we have been trying to get it repaired now for 6 months we have been through 4 different repair companies and I have taken off work wasting vacation days for half day appointments 7 times. The first guy was shady and now texts me harassing texts. He took my fridge door and left me alone with a ding in it. I called Home Depot myself time and time and time again. Spoke with the store manager and customer service they said they would help. Well now the last repair company came to look at it. And then just never called us back. And now today we have our 7th appointment with the fourth company. All I need is a new door bc the other guy took my better door and left me with a dinged one. And of course the dripping out of the ice machine dispenser. I'm a so upset no one at Home Depot is following up. I call and am repeatedly out on hold for so long. I want to stand in front of their store with a sign that says scam don't buy appliances here or warranties. They will never fix or replace it. This started in Jan. More recently trying to fix in August. It's December now and I have a leaky dinged fridge and am going to have a breakdown. I just spent another 3500 on new appliances with them since this purchase. What a mistake. I should not have given them my business. They don't stand by their warranty or products. They said if the warranty company comes out three times for same prob I'm supposed to get a new fridge. Well it's the 7th visit. I'm outraged and plan to file with the better business bureau as well as take legal action. Don't shop here go to lowes or anywhere else! read more

Not even a one star. RUN , RUN from this place. I wanted my NEW, again New lawnmower fixed after using it twice. Yes that was 2 times. Was called and said it was going to cost $95.00 to fix $140.00 lawn mower. (Should of still been covered had the thing less than three month). But it wasn't . Told them ok. Somehow they got confused. (Reason to stay away) and said the computer told them no one wanted it fixed. No big deal. I laughed it off any told them to go ahead and fix it. I called a month later and said they again was not told to fix it by computer. I was upset. Called Manager who told me they would fix it. Three weeks later was called and TOLD YOUR LAWNMOWER IS FIXED . Come and get it. I went next day and got it. Took it home and guess what? It did not work. Called them again and they said computer said it was not be fixed. I left out several other times I called them to check on it. Called manager and she had no clue what was going on.,Said who did you talk to? Good lord who didn't I talk to? I than went to Lowes and bought another one for $138.00. Don't waste your time at Home Depot in Indio, Ca....You been warned!!!!!!? read more

Horrible customer from the assistant manager. I rented a stump grinder and their truck to haul the grinder (I have small car). The first grinder couldn't start when I got it home (pull cord broke). Drove back In 45 mins of traffic and 110 degree heat. Exchanged it for second one and 15-20 mins into the job the belt cover broke off (it was wired on half way). The manager was down right smug with me stating I "chose" not to continue running the grinder we were discussing the $20 payment for the rental truck as they did not charge for the broken equipment. I told him I specifically drove from Orange County (250miles) to take out the palm stump and plant new tree. Their faulty equipment wasted my trip/day. Also since I only used the truck solely to haul the grinder and since it was their lack of maintenance that caused both to malfunction I felt it was unreasonable to charge me anything considering the HUGE inconveniences I incurred at this store. He again refused and basically said "F " you with his smugish non verbal communication. Hope it was worth the $20 to Home Depot!!! I will NEVER buy a single thing at any Home Depot thanks to this manager! In fact, after this episode I went to lowes down the street and spent $2500 on a new front door and a few new trees! This is not up to standard! I am a big fan of Home Depot, but this particular store is marginal. There is often no one on the floor to help, and often when help finally arrives, the person is not knowledgeable about the product. Very disappointing. read more

I ordered security doors and front doors in September. I was told they were going to be installed right around thanksgiving. They measured the doors wrong and had to re-order them, ok little bad luck no biggie. #2 the "main" part was not there when they went to pick up the doors for installation. #3 sat home till 5 pm nobody bothered to tell me they were not coming to install the doors that day. Which was now December 27 a month after thanksgiving!! #4 I had to call to see if the part was in yet. It was but now it's the wrong color!! Now the new part will be in next week. The only reason I gave one star is because some of the employees are nice and I think they are trying to help unlike some of their co-workers!!!! read more

I'd give zero stars if I could. I have limited vision so needed assistance with my purchase (an over $150 purchase) at check out. A female employee took us over to the self-check register and started the transaction then walked away without even so much as greeting us with a "hello" , "good morning" or "may I help you?". She offered no explanation as to how to proceed si had to ask for additional help. She came back and further assisted but again was silent- without one word from her! Did not feel like the store appreciated our business. Will not return. read more

Over the weekend my husband went in with an idea of our new nursery. We asked Gordon in the paint section for help. Neither one of us have experienced such great customer service. He explained everything we needed to do from start to finish, walked with us around the store to make sure we got everything we needed, and gave us new suggestions. I have worked in retail for 15 years and own my own retail store now. I wish I had employees like Gordon. He could have answered one question and sent us on our way but he made sure our idea of our dream nursery come true. I will be back time and time again and will always ask for him. read more

We went in yesterday to buy a large item and encountered three employees who were not at all interested in selling us anything. The first pointed to the world's smallest display and didn't know how else to help, but was at least friendly. The front person was on the phone chatting away and acted like we were bothering her, and the "supervisor" that came over to help when it was clear she wasn't going to, was equally lacking in customer service and recommended we just go home and buy the item online. We went to Harbor Freight Tools, found what we wanted right away, and came home with it. read more

Purchased a barbecue grill at Indio/Jackson Street Home Depot. Found the grill and proceeded to Customer Service to inquire how to purchase the grill. We had purchased a grill at the La Quinta Home Depot and the sale was rung up at Customer Service. Thinking it was the same we went to Customer Service. The girl behind the counter seemed irritated that we wanted her to help us. She ultimately told us we had to go to a regular cashier to purchase the grill which we did. We were told a manager was needed to unlock the grills. We went outside and after 15 minutes went back inside to ask if someone was going to help us with our grill. Finally a manager showed up, a woman, who never addressed me to apologize for waiting. As a matter-of-fact, she never acknowledged me at all. No one at Customer Service apologized for the wait either. Likewise she seemed irritated that she had to unlock the grills. When we originally walked in to the store we had three employees approach us trying to sell their products, from a credit card to an A/C check up. But once we actually purchased an item, we could not get anyone to help us with our grill. Two cart/lot guys did approach me while I was waiting outside, who did acknowledge me. These two guys were the only employees who apologized for our wait. Only after those two guys went in to the store to inquire about someone to help us, did the woman with the key come out to help us. Very frustrated with Customer Service. We'll go back to using the La Quinta Home Depot. read more

Rented a rug doctor. Handed my ID and credit card to rental section employee. BIG mistake. Suspect that employee wrote down card number because next day while checking my account on line I found a $23 charge to a gaming/arcade company. Now my bank has to close my account and I have to wait to get new credit card. Big hassle. The fraudulent transaction occured over the phone as the card was not swiped. All fingers pointing toward the good old Home Depot employee. Will talk to store manager. read more

I wouldn't even select one star if I had the option. We purchased a blue tooth fan speaker that we purchased with store credit. It was intended to be a Christmas gift but unfortunately, due to installations we were unable to gift the item. When we went in to exchange the item for store credit without a receipt we were informed that the price point had dropped. We completely understand that without receipt we are limited with options. However, they still had a promotional sign advertising the item for a higher value than what they were telling us we could get for it (what we had originally paid). The sign was still up in the store in the exact area they had the speakers originally. They had no more of this item in stock and hadn't in weeks. The way the front floor manager and store manager on duty handled the situation was extremely rude and un professional. They continued to argue with us in front of other customers and could only explain what they couldn't and wouldn't do for us. I've worked in retail at a corporate level for over 10 years- and this is not how you treat committed customers who spend tons of time and money in your store. You are willing to loose a customer over 25$? What a joke, as a company you should be embarrassed that these managers are the face of Home Depot. They didn't want to lift a finger in regards to meeting let alone exceeding any expectations we had of leaving satisfied. read more

Purchased a Toro blower/vac with a four year warranty. Home Depot specifically advertises "backed by an outstanding 4 year warranty". Tool works great for five months. No problems at all. One day, won't start, changed the fuel, changed the plug, still won't start. I take it back to HD. You have to take it to the tool rental counter because that's where the service is done. The person behind the counter is very reluctant, tells me I have to pay $20 up front for them to do a diagnostic check first. if the problem is covered under warranty I get the $20 back. I pay the $20 (four year warranty right) but the whole time I'm thinking I'm never gonna see that $20 again. Sure enough they call me two days later. They've determined I used bad fuel and bad fuel voids the warranty. So now I'm out $161 for the tool,$20 for them to tell me the warranty is useless and that I'm to blame, and I have to get another blower vac. I will never make a purchase at Home Depot again. Lowes has all the same products and they don't turn you into a victim. read more
