Being new to the area, I looked to Yelp to direct me and I think either I'm too picky or it was just an off day for this restaurant. The service was okay, the food, furniture, and decor, not so much. I ordered the Spanish omelet with country potatoes and toast. Now that I think back to it, I never did get my toast! The omelet was messy and needed salsa to taste decent. The potatoes looked so dry they could have been mistaken for rocks, though they did have a soft center. Coffee was pretty bland as well. My SO got a waffle, eggs and sausage. I tasted the waffle and it was not the least bit crispy, very doughy though. As I said, it could be I caught the cooks on an off day or perhaps I just ordered something that is not often made. I don't know how you screw up bacon, but I had 1 bite of my breakfast bacon and couldn't do it anymore. I can't even explain what was wrong with it, but it just tasted wrong. I also ordered diet coke and for some reason they only had dr. pepper. Again, weird. The rest of the breakfast was just okay. Eggs were eggs, but the biscuits and gravy were pretty good. Left one star so I could leave a review. Noon and only two other tables. This should have been a sign. Wanted lunch but I asked if the chicken fried steak was fresh and breaded in house and was informed that nothing was done fresh. Decided on breakfast. Eggs were good, bacon was tasteless, hashbrowns good, toast was stale and dry. Server never came back buy to refill drinks. While eating chocolate pie (was the worse pie I have ever had, buy frozen would be better) watched a server drop a napkin on the floor, bent down picked it up and used to roll silverware into it. Then the women bathroom was always full with employees. The last employee shocked me. The men's restroom had a customer in it so a male employee went into the ladies. There was a customer waiting. We have been here many times but today was bad. Seated right away and they did ask what we wanted to drink but then it took almost 10 minutes to get them because it had to be our server to bring it????? Then we shared an omelet which was good but we never got a refill on our drinks or a visit from our server to see if it was good. When we went to pay we were overcharged. My breakfast was delicious. I had a waffle with strawberries and whip cream. I got diarrhea though which was a little unusual so I think the strawberries might have been old. Our waitress was rude and loud. I didn't like that. Everything we asked for she felt like she needed to tell us that it's gonna cost more over and over again. It got annoying if I couldn't afford my meal I wouldn't have went. So because of her I give it a 4 today but I would definitely go back and recommend anyone to go for a nice cheap breakfast. read more

Only gave 4 stars because of the restaurant layout. It is a bit odd. When you enter a restaurant you expect to find a counter with the cashier and hostess. Well when you enter this restaurant you run into tables and booths of people eating. Felt super bad to pass by their tables while they were eating. Food was cooked super fast. I phoned ahead and ordered 2 eggs scrambled, ham, hash browns and biscuits and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. Which it was. I loved the eggs and the biscuits were to die for! The hash browns were OK and the ham was bad! Salty and oily. It was definitely not ham off the bone. I think it probably came from a can. Over all it was good and I will be back. I wish I could give a zero star. I walked in for the first time today with my spouse. As soon I walked I was not greeted. I actually was barked about by some lady behind a counter. She keep yelling "go to the back go to the back". I was so put off by her tone, lack of professionalism, and utter rudeness. Then we walked to the back , again no one greeted us or gave directions. We didn't know if we had to wait for a server to seat us or seat ourselves. Once seated finally someone came to the table. I explained to them dissatisfaction with the last in the front. The server did not care at all. We ended up leaving and will never return. I wouldn't recommend this place to a stray dog. read more

First, my order was wrong, second the vegetables in the omelette were dripping with oil, and third the bacon literally had no flavor whatsoever. My boyfriend and I always find ourselves returning here at least once a week! Every time we have amazing service and kind servers. I always get the #4 French Toast combo and it always comes out perfect. My boyfriend will try new things they have and he says it tastes amazing no matter what they serve! If you're looking for a cozy neighborhood breakfast/lunch to try, or to make it your go to for comfort food this is the place! This place is great. It a small hole in the wall, family owned restaurant. It can get kind of crazy on Sunday mornings but the staff is great and so is the food.
