My mom and I love going to this cute coffee shop tucked away in Poway! My regular order is a cafe au lait with soy, but they didn't have soy so I got oat milk instead. It was pretty tasty too! I love coming here, it's a local favorite and a wonderful spot for the community. The business owner is so kind and welcoming. He definitely makes the best açaí bowls too- if you ever order one with pb or almond butter they give you a lot! Their espresso is smooth and strong. We always get a regular shot and a vanilla latte every order. It's always perfect, and If you want an adjustment they're more than happy to accommodate. 5/5 I will keep supporting this local business and tell my friends about it :) read more

I feel bad writing this bc the staff were so sweet but as a barista myself, their espresso was not very good. It's possible that they just extracted a bad shot but I'm wondering if they dial into their machine themselves or if they skip the process and go straight to pressing buttons. Been looking for a coffee shop that was cozy, had great food, customer service, and a place to study and do homework. This was the place! It was my first time going there and I enjoyed it. Hey now Poway, you have a terrific coffee roastery and shop in the neighborhood! You got to love a place that goes out of their way to find unique beans, do a great job roasting them, and make some quality coffees and espressos. I had them make me a Café au lait, my favorite coffee drink, with a medium roast. I noticed they had some homemade scones so I just had to have one. I chose the cranberry scone topped with a white vanilla creme. The coffee was $2.25 and the scone The young lady who made my Café au lait did a great job with it. The ratio of coffee to hot steam milk was perfect resulting in a smooth rich coffee. The roast was a Mexican variety, the Santa Teresa I believe and it was great. The cranberry scone was fantastic. It had that great European touch with just the right density but amazing moistness as well. I liked a good dense scone and this one was just right. Its flavor was very nice and came with small pieces of dried sweet cranberries. I thought the vanilla creme on top was a nice touch and delicious. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They offer free Wi-Fi and comfortable seating inside. They located in the same parking lot as North County Soccer Park. read more

Cute venue, ok coffee and food. Service was nice although a tad frigid. Overall, there's not much to say about this place except it's ok with a bit of rustic charm considering how close they were to the poway mountains and the wide bendy road to get there. Part of my review comes from being slightly disheartened at their locked door and the owners' apathy even as they saw us leaving. This, in addition to their lack of customers on a sunny afternoon, made for an uneasy and tense situation. Located right next to a busy plaza and soccer field, the shop has plenty of parking space. Unfortunately, as mentioned in the previous yelp posts, the location was very easy to miss as there were no prominent signs out front except if you were within walking distance of the area. Its hard to say what the future is like for this business and although it was a great place to relax and shoot the hay, their coffee as well as their service needs work and, I may or may not come back due to these lacking qualities. read more

With clean, open, indoor seating where one can sit quietly and read in a comfortable zen "living room" experience, to tables for those who want to sit and work, or have a meeting, bar stools overlooking the stunning outdoors, and the barista set-up with a free flowing waterfall ornament (beautiful) -- to its "Alice In Wonderland --by the campfire" outdoor seating that can cater for groups, and couples. It's truly beautiful, and one of my favourite coffee and tasty bite spots. There are also dog bowls filled with fresh water from the entrance of TKC to the outdoor garden. I ordered a Dirty Vanilla Chai Latte with Almond Milk and and a delicious (!!! Mark my word) bowl of overnight oats. I was truly humbled by the kindness of the staff. Not only are they inviting, helpful, friendly, and menu savvy- but-- all the food and beverages they make, they put time and care into it, it's clear to see that they truly love what they do. The whiskey aged cold brew is incredible! The best coffee drinks I've had in San Diego. They age the green coffee beans in old whiskey barrels before roasting. The Belgium waffle was undercooked and very meh, but I'm giving this 5 stars for the whiskey cold brew alone, it's that good. I recommend it with vanilla simple syrup. read more

i normally enjoy this place, and i want to support local businesses; however, when i went this morning to get some coffee and breakfast, the guy serving and making the coffee was not wearing a mask. This seems i'll-advised these days as case counts for Coronavirus continue to grow in California. This place is situated right by a soccer park and was a bit hard to find. However parking is ample and interior amazing! I enjoyed spending a couple hours here doing some work - There are few tables but they do have bar seating and a patio outside! There's also free, speedy Wifi. I got the latte with their housemade salted caramel syrup. I consider myself a good litmus test for lattes and found that Kings Craft has that solid body with the right amount of richness from the foam. The owner and staff were super nice and friendly - you can tell they have a lot of pride in their craft. Also, fun fact I learned from the owner is the accent wood in the interior is imported from Washington state (which is where he's from). If you want a coffee strong enough to crush your hopes and dreams, this is the place to be. I ordered a hot white mocha. Had a beautiful leaf design on my foam. When taking that first sip, you immediately feel the strong brew course through your veins into your DNA. I like strong coffee, but this was just a tad too much. Nice little area. Super close to my workplace so I drop by once in a while to grab a drink or pastry. I feel like the price is slightly high...but for the convenience, quality and service, I can justify occasional visits. I got a small Latte - asked for it Vanilla flavored with Oat Milk $4.25. They accept Apple Pay which is super helpful bc I don't like my bringing my wallet for a coffee run! Never had oat milk and thought it would taste like almond or soy milk. The taste is.. kinda of a roasted flavor if you get my drift..almost reminds me of that Japanese flavor Genmatcha? Or something forgot what it's called. And definitely thicker consistency..the taste is definitely going to take some time to get used to but I think it's got a lot of health benefits compared to other popular types of milks. I love this cute little coffee store! It's located at a hidden spot in Poway, and the store isn't too big either. There aren't a lot tables, but it's very quiet and a great place for studying. I came on a Friday afternoon and I was luckily able to get a table. The tables are really big, and you can always share with someone. I usually order tea, but I decided to get a sweet treat and ordered the Mexican hot chocolate, which had a cinnamon-nutmeg scent. It was the perfect amount of sweet and I could really taste the cinnamon and nutmeg. An extra bonus was the latte art! Even my hot chocolate had a nice design on it. For those who drink coffee, they have a lot of interesting latte flavors! One of the latte flavors I heard of was samoa cookie and lavender. This adorable coffee shop sits in the parking lot of a large soccer field. My friend and I came in to study after hiking Potato Chip Rock, and wanted a place to relax with iced drinks. One of this first thing I noticed when coming in, aside from how cute the place was, was their strong support of other local businesses. They sell pastries from local bakeries and even sell art from local artists. In addition to their strong support of the community, which you can feel from the amount of regulars in the shop, the staff was incredibly kind. They are very willing to help you choose an order and make recommendations based on your preferences. They also have a very special list of house made syrups. There are many to choose from, about 10 if I remember correctly, and the flavors are fun and homemade. Options included salted caramel, lavender and vanilla bean. I ordered a spiced chai, that I soon learned was just Oregon Chai concentrate mixed with milk (the same one I could buy from Whole Foods but don't because it's way too sweet). I asked for them to add cinnamon on top (reference "spiced" ?) and they did that kindly. I did order an açaí granola bar thing that was delicious! I will note, several of their spring drinks were advertised and I'm sure those lattes are great! My chai, however, was a sore loss. Bonus points for aesthetic. So I'm officially a fan of Kings Craft Coffee, way off the beaten path in Poway. I adore the peaceful ambiance, rustic- minimal decor, their house roasted coffee, and the various treats I've tried. I've met friends here on several occasions and brought my boys- everyone always becomes a fan! My past two visits I ordered their Maple Brown Sugar Latte which was the perfect blend of coffee to sweet ratio. I'm a gal who likes the taste of a good coffee and the balance for me is perfect. This most recent visit, I also ordered the Everoats which consists of oats, almond butter, cinnamon, honey, strawberries, & blueberries- a brilliant & healthy breakfast for only $5! In the past I've tried their veggie sandwich which was a packed sandwich full of avocado, lettuce, tomato, lettuce, cucumber, sprouts, cheese- awesome for this veggie lover! Currently, the vibe is holiday festive, perfect for a coffee date or to meet some friends. Hidden gem in Poway. Very nicely renovated spot. Menu is constantly changing. They do have the staples that never go away, but every time I come here there is new drink on the menu. They also have food items for breakfast which I have yet to try. Also variety of pastries as well as healthy options. I recommend trying the lavender match latte on the spring menu. Previously they had a lavender chai that was also excellent. They also have free WiFi to get work done and outdoor seating for those nice days. read more
