The website vs. the actual in store prices are different. Of course online it's cheaper and then when you get to the restaurant it's much higher. Some of the staff were rude. This is one of the more authentic kosher deli's I have been too. They had all the kosher classics and stuff I have never heard of too! The hot corned beef on rye stuck out to me as the thing to order. $19 for a small sandwich surprised me. I thought I was at Katz's deli with those prices. It was a good sandwich but I thought it a touch dry. The russian dressing served on the side helped. I started with the matzah ball soup and it was soothing and comforting. I don't eat it that much but this one worked. It was pretty busy in here for lunch so they must be doing something right. We sat in the dining room where they have table service. The waitresses are very conscientious and the pickle and potato/cole slaw salad bar is great! Ordered: Matzo ball soup ($7)- the soup comes with carrots, noodles and a fluffy matzo ball. The broth was light in flavor and needed salt in my opinion, which I added. I enjoyed it. Pea soup ($6)- this soup was even better than the matzo ball soup. It had little bits of carrot in it and they served the soup with croutons which added a nice crunch. Corned beef sandwich ($13)- the corned beef was lean and had a good flavor. It wasn't too salty. The sandwich was served on rye bread with delicious Russian dressing. Rugalach ($1.50)- The chocolate rugalach was my favorite thing at the Kosher Nosh! It had a crunchy outside and a good filling. On Shabbat leading into my son's bar mitzvah I ordered dinner for 20. It was amazing. Chicken, brisket, vegetables, soup (of course) and kasha. We've been going here for almost a decade, but never again after what happened. My wife is recovering from surgery and all she wanted was matzo ball soup, so I ordered it via the website with other things from Kosher Nosh. I get home to only see that I got a quart of chicken consomme and no matzo. I called to say "Hey, I just order pick up of matzo ball soup and there's no matzo ball." Whoever I talked to started yelling at me right away because it's not what I order, but clearly as you see on the receipt, I did. He kept on saying, "Who's going to pay for it?" Which makes no sense, since I already did. We go back and forth for a few minutes, causing me to get agitated over a small thing. If it was a mistake, fine, refund me $2 or say, "Come back, we'll correct and we'll give you a gift card for your trouble or whatever." Instead, the man at the Kosher Nosh treated me like a jerk and accused me of trying to get something for nothing. So, we're never going back there again. First time here. I'm surprised how good the hot pastrami sandwich was after traveling 1/2 hour back home. It was as still hot but the pachydermus midsection of the sandwich was so sublime it would rival any NYC deli. I'm looking forward to trying their chicken liver sandwich. They also have their own version of spanakopita Americanized as SPINACH PIE. They should label it more European to draw in more people. It is so much better than the Greek version. OMG - Where has the place been all my life? This is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Paramus. Exceptional Service with none of that ridiculous uncalled for New York Attitude. Pastrami & Corned Beef was luscious. I personally loved the amazing fully stocked pickle bar that included delicious cole slaw and potato salad. Very reasonably priced! Place has gone down hill. Pastrami lacks flavor and is all fat unless you order Lean. Shouldn't have to order lean. should have a proper balance and be edible and enjoyable. While we've eaten here many many times and have left positive reviews, today was not the best. My chicken salad was delicious and my MIL's pastrami sandwich was exactly to her liking. But my husband's brisket sandwich was so fatty that he only was able to eat half the meat. When my MIL spoke to the waitress about it, here was the waitress's reply: "The next time you need to order it on the lean side and it looks to me that you ate enough of the sandwich." They advertise ¾ pound and this wasn't close. The only thing that was ¾ was the pastrami being ¾ fat (maybe they had a bad piece?). The chopper liver (albeit it was tasty), was closer to a thin shmear than a scoop. I suppose I long for the old days when a kosher deli gave those big, fat sandwiches with the best cuts of meat. Some of the highlights: a menu of diverse kosher items and a chalkboard with extra specials, a pickle bar, and delicious food. I ordered the turkey and tongue, which was jam packed with meat. The pickle bar also has cole slaw, which wasn't bad and potato salad which was more mayo than potato. Way more mayo. I also ordered the french fries - a good sized portion and very delicious.
