The Kosher Nosh is a small-ish restaurant connected to a popular deli. The corned beef, pastrami, knish, and other foods are excellent. Their bread and pickles are fantastic. If you go to the deli counter, there are a number of workers who will happily pack your order. It tends to be a very good experience, no matter when you go. The restaurant part serves the food from the deli, but the service was not good at all. We were treated poorly by a waitress who literally tossed a stack of napkins on the table. She didn't even stop, she just did a walking flip. She served our food with a similar attitude. We will continue to go to the deli because the food and service are great. The restaurant? Do you ever actually know how many people will show up? The staff was rude and unaccommodating. They turned away about 15 young adults and almost turned my immediate family away. My uncle, who just lost his 21 year old son, wanted to explain he would be the one paying for the now party of 40. My favorites: Matzoh Ball soup - this is the best matzoh ball soup I've ever had from a restaurant/deli. You can order it with a matzoh ball or with just noodles or chicken. Sooo sooo good, it won't let you down. Reuben wrap - you can't go wrong Rugelach - are the little fresh cookies in the case right next to the register. It's a tasty Jewish dessert and they make these fresh. I love the chocolate ones, but they also have raspberry filling, apricot and cinnamon raisin. BBQ Chicken - this was quite expensive but it was some of the best. But she insists I need to order at the deli section, which is just next to her. The hotdogs are on the rolling grill right behind her btw. So I stand there at the counter with a soda in hand. But not one guy lifted up and looked at me. There were literally ten workers there, acting like they were busy. There were no other customers at the store. I stood there for five minutes. Menu was ok - pickle bar with health salad, cole slaw, potato salad - help yourself - it's all "free" I ordered the corned beef - lean and 1 potato knish. While waiting I picked up a few things at this pickle bar. 2 pickles and a heap of slaw. Pickles were good. Slaw - eh not so much. A whole lotto mayo and relish mixed with it - not my style. Corned beef sandwich was eh. Lean as I asked but not very flavorful. Knish was like stiff potato looking glue in a baked shell. Again not much flavor. I came here with a group of 18-20 after a funeral and the staff was amazing. Super friendly and patient. They knew we were coming, and even though we were a lot earlier than our reservation, they accommodated us right away. The food is awesome the sandwiches are quite large, and the pickles and coleslaw are amazing. So my wife and I just walked into this place for the first time to have lunch. We were planning to eat at the deli so I asked an older woman waitress if we should order with her or at the counter. She snapped back in a surprisingly harsh tone that I needed to order with her. So we went to sit down at one of the many empty tables, all of which could accommodate at least 4 people. However, when I went to sit at one along the wall she snapped at me that we needed to sit in the middle row. Almost as if I was a fool for even thinking otherwise. There was literally 1 other party of 2 sitting in the dinning area. So, I'm not sure why this woman got so disturbed given the 20+ empty tables. Their waitress didn't arrive until about 10:00 or 10:30, so the cashier and the busboy waited on us. We were fine with that. There was nobody in the place. "We don't have coffee" "We don't have milk or any dairy products" We ended up with coffee (that pot is used for the help, only) We got two metal containers of some white liquid that tasted an awful like milk.
