Staying at Doubletree, this was a God send! The Latte Shop down and right around the corner, was a much needed breakfast spot. This little coffee shop was filled with a great vibe. The woman not only made the coffee, but also cooked all the items, with a smile. First the egg and cheddar sando was bomb. Fluffy, airy egg with melted cheddar and a delicious creamy sauce! I discovered this spot by accident while leaving Mike's Deli and noticed so many people walking around with their lattes in hand. Visiting for the LA Times Festival of Books and needed a solid coffee stop in Little Tokyo. This place delivered! Clean, bright, and just the right amount of cozy. It is on the smaller side, but it works. There is also a cute merch wall if you are feeling a little extra loyal. Staff were friendly and welcoming, (we love a no-attitude coffee shop). Ordered the signature latte with condensed milk and espresso foam over iced milk. It was smooth, slightly sweet, and very easy to drink. Also got the everything breakfast sandwich. It is filling without being too heavy, and I appreciated the hashbrown oun the side. Only thing to note is limited seating, so maybe not ideal for big groups. Came here to try the coveted brownie latte but it has since been discontinued. I opted for their signature latter with cream top and it did not disappoint. The customer service was on point too! I was a bit leery of a coffee shop called "The Latte Shop", but it turns out, the espresso drinks were actually REALLY REALLY good! The LATTE was full of coffee flavor and didn't taste "milked down". The CORTADO was creamy and not tart. On a cold winter morning, we were able to find parking on an adjacent street. There was no line to get in and there was no line to order. There are some places to sit inside. Great view of LA City Hall across the street. The staff are efficient and courteous. read more

I came in on a Sunday morning and they were busy but outstandingly friendly. I ordered the TLS latte with almond milk (they also have oat milk) and waited off to the side. They had a great visual menu and fun posters on the walls. If you go to the back near the restrooms, you can peruse some merch that's for sale. They use the Clover system for payment and points, in case you're a frequent visitor and wondering how to be rewarded for your loyalty. The vibe is spunky and modern all together and I really appreciated that they actually have some seating available perfect for chit chat time they offer gluten-free options for food and they also have breakfast sandwiches available. I visited this coffee shop around 12pm on a Saturday and it was closed temporarily because the sole barista working was on break, so me and my friends decided to wait until it opened back up at 12:30pm. Walking-in, I admired the artsy and aesthetic design of the cafe from the posters of their drinks to the like trinkets on the shelves. I ordered their Sweet Cream White Chocolate Matcha with oat milk and it was decent. The matcha did have good white chocolate flavor which I liked, it was unique. However, the drink was on the milkier side and would've preferred more matcha in the drink. The sweet cream was great though, light and not too overpowering. The service was good despite there only one barista working. For parking, there's limited free parking spots since this cafe is located in Little Tokyo. I'd recommend parking in one of the nearby paid parking garages, but I'm unsure if the cafe validates. I think I would try this cafe again if I was in the area craving a coffee or matcha. This place is one of the best coffee shops I've been to. Although there isn't much seating for studying this is a good grab and go place. I believe I got the double chocolate mocha or something along those lines which was really good. My friends got the asian pear matcha which was super good too. At the time I came they didn't have any breakfast items because I think they had already sold out by the time I arrived but it was okay. The barista was super nice to my friends and I. one of my favorite cafes of all time, I may have accidentally stumbled in here one day while trying to find a spot to study but it has easily become a place I constantly go back to. The staff here are incredibly kind, every worker I've met has had the nicest smile and been so helpful, not to mention, they make great drinks! Their Strawberry Nostalgia and Cinnamon Cream Lattes are my all time favorites here. Both are immensely flavorful and balanced and taste fresh and perfectly sweetened. Their breakfast sandwiches are actually to die for, they are made fresh so they take a minute to get out but we'll worth the wait. The cafe seating is limited so cross your fingers but this intimate little shop will steal your heart quick. I had the blueberry matcha and a sausage, egg, cheese sandwich, which came with a hashbrown. The blueberry matcha was really good with just the right amount of sweetness. The breakfast sandwich had the softest bread and they also had a sauce on it that made it even more savory. I ate the hashbrown with some ketchup and was overall very full after finishing everything. I probably could have shared that breakfast with someone. No more breakfast French toast is truly the reason I will no longer tolerate this dingy little coffee shop that's on the outskirts of japantown with no parking or full size chairs. Every chair has been transitioned into mini stools. Restaurant next door shut down and street is dead. They never have regular or whole milk available. Always the preservative filled shelf stable milk. I found out the owner Gina doesn't even want to work here and has a girl here who talks badly about the employees who are gone loudly in the restaurant as people are ordering. The cafe is quite small so you might miss it like I did but they have a sign outside. The interior is well decorated and has a lot of natural lightning but there isn't that much space. They also sell some pastries besides their drinks too. They have a wall where you can leave a post it note which I thought was so cute.
