WHAT?! RUN, don't walk! Beat me there, don't meet me there! Seriously y'all. Locker Room is that spot! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is vibiinnngggg! Great music, friendly staff, and such a nostalgic and amazing atmosphere. The food? Absolutely mouthwatering. Every bite of everything was bursting with flavor. Fresh and perfectly seasoned! The salmon bites and the wings are outrageously delicious. And the deals? I'll just say that you can eat and drink like royalty without breaking the bank. Happy hour, game day, or just a chill night out, this place is for sure hitting every hot spot that you need. And big shoutout to the owner, Ced, a truly humble individual that has created an historic staple in the community. Trust me, you'll be planning your next visit as soon as you leave.

It is New Year's day and no restaurants are open but the Locker Room is. I learned about this place through IG food reviewer. The food looked delicious in video. We arrived shortly after opening and was greeted. Although there was open tables for seating, we chose to sit at the bar. To our surprise we arrived during happy Hour which was from 5-8pm. I believe Saturday's Happy Hour starts at 9pm. We ordered a couple $6 HH drinks along with the seafood egg rolls which were so good, 9/10. I also got the seafood platter with mac n cheese....10/10!!! My fish and shrimp were fried to perfection. Crispy and flavorful! The mac n cheese was also fire. As the night went on we continued with HH and vibing to some great music. I will most definitely be back!

    French Toast Breakfast

Stopped by The Locker Room in Houston's 3rd Ward for a brunch pregame before catching the Detroit Lions face off against the Houston Texans, and I have to say--it was the perfect kickoff! This sports-themed bar near TSU has amazing vibes with lively decor, great music, and flat-screen TVs everywhere so you can catch any game you're into. The brunch menu was solid. I ordered the French Toast Breakfast, which came with two perfectly fluffy French toast slices, eggs, and my choice of bacon or sausage for $17. Delicious and satisfying--I devoured it like I hadn't eaten in weeks! My brother-in-law got a mimosa tower, but since they'd run out of towers, they set us up with a bottle of champagne and some OJ so we could make our own. It worked out just fine! We also ordered a hookah for the table--$40 for hookah on weekends, with free coals and $20-25 for refills. The setup was smooth and added to the laid-back vibe of the place. The servers were awesome, too. Things got a little busy, but they still checked in on us whenever they could, making sure we had everything we needed. They've also got a cool outdoor patio area, which adds to the relaxed, social atmosphere. Overall, The Locker Room is a great spot for sports fans or anyone looking for a good time with good food. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Houston!

Honestly! The locker room was so good! Food was a 10/10 and it was so cute in there. Decorated really nice. They had a red scenery and the walls were decorated so cute! The security was nice and our waiter was nice as well. We started with lemon drops and then we got a few French 75's and we were good to go. I don't like crawfish but I tried these crawfish egg rolls and they were soooo good. I'm so happy I had them honestly. I loved them and this may have been the best place we went to while we were out in Houston. They also had a DJ and he was playing some great music!

Went here for brunch while visiting Houston. This spot is so cute on the inside, good music and good service. The food was SO good. The shrimps and grits was seasoned well and the grits were nice and creamy. The chicken was fresh and fried perfectly as per my cousin. Mango Mimosa carafe hit the spot too! Didn't like that a saw some flies in the restaurant nor that they used plastic cups and plastic utensils. Even though I saw tables that had champagne glasses...

Very cute bar and music! They have hookah for you with a fun vibe! They gave a good menu for food and drinks. I ordered the collard greens and they were very yummy! For my drink I ordered the Jhenny 4rom da block and it was pretty good with not to much sweetness! The service was really good and attentive! The servers made sure we were ok and needed anything! This is why I'll be back when I visit Houston! They said they close at 2 on Yelp but they closed early this day at 12, which was a bummer. Fortunately, I had fun. Parking is $10.00 in the back of establishment. -Marshay D.

    Oxtails Dinner

Ordered the oxtail dinner plate from Uber eats. For the price of this plate, they barely give you oxtail, just 4 pieces. The flavor of their gravy they cook oxtails in is really good but it's just not worth the price for me. They up-charge for all the sides except for the plain white rice. The side containers aren't even filled all the way. For two plates it was not worth spending $100.

    Skittles frozen drink

This is an excellent spot for Sunday Funday. The drinks and food were amazing! I ordered the lemon pepper wings with cheese grits. The wings were superb and the flavor was just right. I also ordered a frozen cocktail, Skittles. The drink featured multiple flavors of Vodka. I truly enjoyed every sip. My only concern was I noticed a lip stick stain on my glass half way through my drink and I wasn't wearing lipstick. I alerted my server and she replaced my drink in a disposable cup. Overall it was a great experience. The DJ was great and our server was very friendly. I can't wait to return for the wings

    What is advertised

I ordered the fried fish and grits via Uber Eats for about $26. The images show what I ordered vs what I received. The fish portion was significantly smaller than usual and the grits were runny undercooked. I went to The Locker Room hoping they would remake it... instead they made me wait 23 minutes before refusing to remake it. The chef claimed the fish is 14oz, claimed there's nothing wrong the grits. The chef accused me of consuming half of it because of its size. I told management i ate 2 bits and it was originally a small portion. The Locker refused to rectify the situation. The table next to me while i was waiting sent their fish and grits back to the kitchen. I asked them why and they said the exact same reason. Management denied what I witnessed. I also informed Management that I have ordered this dish many times and have been a loyal customer, and shared my picture as proof. The Locker refused to give me anything to make it right. This is poor customer service and poor business practices. Unfortunately they have lost my business and the business of my friends and family.

Usually I'm at least a little disappointed or underwhelmed by their food picks, but this time they proved their taste buds are actually pretty solid. The beer-battered fries were FIRE. Not a single soggy fry on my plate. And the 7 oz. burger? Cooked to a perfect medium-rare, with all those delicious juices spilling out in every bite... DIVINITY. The location itself was super cute--very Southern charm tucked into the middle of such an urban city. Our waitress handled all seven of us like a pro, kept everything moving, and somehow found that perfect balance of being attentive without constantly hovering. P.S. half of my coworkers ordered their craft burgers and the other half went with their pizzas--pretty solid choice. Crust was sourdough and the toppings were varied. The tops were DUCK AND BALSAMIC, SAUSAGE AND BURRATA, PEAR AND BLEU

We were originally talking about trying to go to one of the games, but she told me she'd been coming here all summer with our friends instead and absolutely loved it. After coming here myself, it's honestly no surprise why! The food is actually really good, which I wasn't expecting from a sports bar! Their drinks are also surprisingly good and relatively inexpensive, which is always a plus. The whole place is just SUCH a vibe!! It almost feels like one giant watch party. I love how open the space is, so no matter where you're standing you can still see TVs everywhere and be a part of all the excitement. It really feels like everyone's celebrating together. The only downside is that the line can get REALLY long, and if you're waiting outside it gets so hot in the Houston sun. Once you finally get inside though, it's super comfortable--not too cold or too warm--and it's honestly worth the wait. I genuinely wish the World Cup happened every year because this would 100% be the place I'd come just for the atmosphere!! Even if you're not the biggest soccer fan, I'd still recommend coming here during a big match because the energy is so contagious. Such a fun experience!

Despite being quite empty at that time, we had to be on a waitlist system for about 20 min. Maybe people signed up for that time slot, unclear ? The tables do move. We were originally assigned right under the TVs, which defeated our purpose of watching the game. We moved our table back, enough to not pinch our neck. It's a great location for game watching. TVs are set all throughout the bar. Bonus if there are two or more sport events. That evening, we could watch a WC game and a UFC fight at the same time. What surprised me was the quality of the food. The wings were excellent, the burger came out quickly as well. The fries could be crispier. The tots were good. Wish they offered sweet potato fries. Overall pricing is a bit on the higher side. So watch your alcohol consumption, lol! Now, it is downtown so parking isn't the best. Use a rideshare. I can be convinced to go back for their wings. The bar is fine; the seats not the most comfortable; the food is overpriced bland Sysco, with the atmosphere too loud for the friendly waitstaff to hear you. I had a salmon Caesar, which was fine, but $31 plus a hidden 4% service charge for not a lot of lettuce, dressing, and four croutons. An app (chips and bland dip, skimped on the chips) and two entrees, a 16 oz beer and two mixed drinks was $145 with tax and tip. Agonizing to pay that much for a mid experience, especially with the other costs in time and money. Guaranteeing seats for the game without showing up ages in advance cost $40/seat and we didn't get the advertised VIP World Cup goody-bag package we were promised. Worst part of the night was getting out. 45 minutes stuck in the $10 Greenstreet parking garage because the scanners weren't working, but it's that or $40 of Ubers. So ~$250 for a less-than-mid evening that wasn't especially relaxing.
