I have not had the best experiences with the food here. It's a cool spot to hang out, but I have ordered food from this place 5 separate times and the only thing that has come out CONSISTENTLY well is the wings. The first time I had them, they were stellar. The crawfish egg rolls, catfish and grits, and french toast were ALL good, it just took them an hour or more to bring the food. Now that the head chef is different, the prices do not match the quality of food. French toast soggy, eggs are brown crumbs, and the bacon isn't even strips they're balls. The catfish has a cheese sauce now, which tastes and looks like sliced cheese. They will own up to their mistakes and gladly refund you. Yet, after waiting and paying quality prices and not receiving quality food, I will not return. read more

Me and a group of 10 people came to the Locker Room about 6pm on Friday November 18, 2022. I was served a cup of water with ice. I was drinking the water and my Cousin said, stop drinking the water, you have something in your cup. He took the cup, held it up and there was a large piece of black substance that had the appearance of black mold/or slime. He motioned me to stop because he himself said that his water tasted funny. This is what prompted him to observe me and he noticed the black substance in my cup. We got the waitress attention and showed her the black substance in the cup, she then immediately took the cup away. She came back with another cup of water with ice. We didn't stay to even try their food or drinks. Immediately me and the entire group left the Locker Room. Within 30 minutes to one hour later, I became severely ill! I started vomiting crazy, I vomited about 5 to 6 times initially! My Sis came to help me and I told her I felt as if I was poisoned. She was aware of the contaminated water I had previously drunk at the Locker Room. My Cousin had to take me to the ER and I was diagnosed with Food poisoning. They took my blood, also they did a CT scan of my abdomen. I was given fluids through an IV for pain and nausea and for dehydration. I had nothing to eat or drink previously before I went to the Locker Room. My Sis contacted the Locker Room and left a message about the situation. I received a text message from the Locker Room the same day. I replied back and didn't get a response until November 28th. TEN DAYS LATER!! The response was from John, the General Manager who was EXTREMELY RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, NO COMMON COURTESY WHATSOEVER!! AND AS A GENERAL MANAGER YOU SHOULD LEARN HOW TO ADDRESS CUSTOMERS AND PEOPLE IN GENERAL OR GO TO A TRAINING PROGRAM FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE JOHN!! I am writing this review now because I gave the Locker Room the benefit of the doubt, I was hoping management would make this right and at the least pay my medical bill which was $750. I went to a 24 hour Emergency Care. They never offered anything, not even kindness. It doesn't take an expert to figure out the source!! I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN A PICTURE BUT I DIDN'T KNOW I WOULD GET EXTREMELY SICK!! So anyone going to this establishment, please check your cup and make sure nothing is floating around!! The different drink specials everyday make coming every day worth it and the amazing brunch menu will beat any brunch spot in houston. Nena Nena Nena!! She treated me so well on Christmas Eve. She had GREAT conversation, made sure my food and drinks were good. Her service is just top notch. I called around 1 they said crawfish would be ready at 5 for to go. I got there around 5:30. Had to pay $30 for parking. For just a to go order. Then upon entering stated the kitchen doesn't open until 6 and food would be ready then. Placed my order for 8 pounds of crawfish. I am still waiting it has been about 45 minutes for it. I had other obligations at 7 and they made me unavailable for them. They need better service should have listened to the reviews when they stated service was bad. Hope the crawfish is worth it. Tonight was my first time going here 6/24/22 to begin with the parking was $20 ok that wasn't a problem...when we went inside there was literally only one table available if you don't make it at a decent time you might as well leave we arrive at 8 pm. Ok so our server was okay but they nice sooooo slow I waited over 30 minutes for boudin balls then they take forever to bring drinks not only that peoples cars were broken into they announced it in the bar..the vibe was def 8/10 but because of the other problems I probably won't return unless I reserve a table. read more

THIS PLACE GAVE ME FOOD POISONING!!! A friend and I visited this establishment on Sunday. I had oxtails and she had crawfish. To start our server took forever to give us water. Then after he took out drink orders he never came back. He served all the other tables around us and completely ignored us. My friend eventually got frustrated and went and ordered our food at the bar. Once he saw us talking with another server he came over and tried to take our order. I've never seen a server wear Nike slides in a restaurant/bar. My friends crawfish came out after about 30 minutes..... I never got my oxtails. Literally 1 hour and 30 mins passed and 3 conversations with 3 different servers before I got my food. The hookah man even asked me what I ordered, which was interesting to me because it took him an hour to bring the hookah over but yet he was "concerned" about my meal. The food was disgusting. The gravy was watered down and the potatoes were dry but I was so hungry that I still ate it. I wish I hadn't. I have been sicker than ever for these last 2 days and unable to eat or drink anything. The food is usually pretty good which is why I'm so upset I spent $22 and had to leave the food at the table because it was trash ! First time eating here and the food was really good. The waitress started out very knowledgeable and helpful when it came down to ordering. However, after explaining the menu she got too busy to return to take the order. About 15 minutes passed she returned and took our orders. The food was ready in a reasonable time. After she brought the food she NEVER came back to the table. After she cleaned our table it took her about 45 (no exaggeration) to bring the checks. Prior to her bringing the checks we had to request a manager due to her never returning. I was charged for extra bacon although bacon came with the meal. There was a $10 charge to park at the barbershop across the street from the restaurant. The Dj (Dj I Am) was really good. Cool spot overall but needs better service and more waiters. read more

I visited this establishment for my sister's birthday this past weekend and to say the least this place was subpar for the prices. They have a very limited menu and the prices are quite high for the service that you receive. It took almost an hour and a half to get cold soggy crawfish egg rolls that I sent back only to get them back lukewarm. The lamb chops were seasoned and prepared perfectly, but $25 for a la cart was excessive. I wouldn't recommend if you're celebrating a special occasion maybe just for a hang out for drinks. read more

I really like the Bartender Lisa she was on her job. The snowstorm brought a ton of stress with all the drunks trying to get a fix but she kept track of everyone's tab. She kept things very professional even when people tried to argue the tab. The food was hot for all of my friends. We always come and have a good time. Drinks are cheap and drinks are good. Man. Such a great vibe and energy. The staff was so friendly to my whole party of 15. They had us separated for brunch it was really great. The catfish and grits were SO GOOD. If you haven't been to The Locker Room yet you are missing out! Their crawfish egg rolls are very popular and after tasting them I see why! They are absolutely delicious and the sauce that comes them makes it even better. Their wraps, wings, fish combos and Black bean burgers are also very delicious and whether you eat meat or if you're a pescatarian or even a vegetarian The Locker Room caters to all customers and all diets which is another thing I love about this sports bar, not too many bars are like that as far as the food goes anyway. They always have a good happy hour Tue-Sun and drinks are pretty cheap without happy hour prices so that's another plus! Their frozen margaritas are delicious and will definitely get you to where you need to be if you know what I mean lol. Their bartenders are great and they make very good drinks and they are always very polite which I really appreciate. They have good hookah and good music and this is also a perfect "Sunday Funday" spot.. This place has not been open very long but has stayed consistent with everything and I absolutely love that it's a black owned business. The LockerRoom has become one of my favorite spots in Houston to hangout, get a bite to eat and enjoy a good chill or exciting atmosphere.
