We were there for our anniversary and the food, atmosphere and the server who's name was Casey were amazing. Casey kept up with everything and even asked if we were there for a special occasion. When she found out it was our anniversary she even made sure we got a complimentary dessert. My husband had the surf and turf with the potato puree and he said it was the best he has ever had. He also had the shrimp cocktail and said it as well as the cocktail sauce was amazing (Casey told us that the chef goes as far as making the ketchup he uses for it from scratch). I had the crab cake appetizer and I have never had one with some much crab in it, it was divine. For my meal I had the Waygu steak and it was amazing. My family likes to come here for birthday celebrations within the family. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. We had a party of 6 today for my birthday. The wait staff was incredible, very personable, took family pictures for us, and I was treated with a dessert of my choosing on them! So service was excellent as usual. The meal was great as well. The sides are huge so everyone just orders a side and we all end up sharing. There are always leftovers which is nice. It's a pretty penny but the experience is great, private-ish, and welcoming. The only negative is a couple people had their steaks slightly cooked past medium they requested. This hasn't happened before and they still enjoyed their food though. We opted Friday night to eat for the first (sure not the last) time at Final Cut in the Hollywood Casino. My husband and I agreed it was one of the best meals we have ever had. The portions were large and everything was perfectly prepared. Our server, Lindsey was a delight and made the experience all the better. Short story, do yourself a favor and skip this place unless you are just going in for a drink. I'll give you the good, bad, and meh. Good: 1) Service. While the hostesses (two of them) had trouble finding my reservation made through Open Table, the server was great. He was friendly, made thoughtful recommendations, and was almost overly attentive. (Granted we were there just after opening on a Sunday) 2) The calamari. This was by far the best part about the meal. You get a large heap on calamari that was for the most part perfectly cooked. I've never had it that well cooked. The sauce is excellent....not too spicy and not too sweet. I would order this as a meal and be perfectly content. 3) Nicely poured and nicely priced drinks. A basic mixed drink is about $6 and you get a drink that isn't too strong or weak. I want to be able to enjoy my cocktail and not cringe when it's too strong. The bartender made several excellent drinks. The Bad: 1) The steak. All three of us ordered an 8oz filet. There isn't any description about the steak. For all I know it came from the slaughtered dairy cows from the edge of town. My dinner mates ordered their steaks medium well, and I ordered my steak rare (as every GOOD steak should be IMHO). Their two steaks come out cooked to medium well, while mine essentially came out raw. There is a difference between rare and raw. The steak looked more like a cylinder or U shaped roast rather then a nice flat or square shaped steak. The inside part of the U shape was literally raw. I had to cut it out and put it off to the side. RARE IS NOT RAW. All three steaks were cold. The outside of a steak should not be COLD. Even a rare steak should be HOT on the outside and cool on the inside. I have gotten better cooked steaks with my steak and eggs at diners. 2) The Sides - We got two different sides, the English Pea Rissoto, and the Horseradish Potatoes. The rissoto was undercooked and had little flavor. Rissoto is difficult to make right. Don't offer it if you can't cook it. The potatoes were very bland. I can make better potatoes with butter, milk, and a packet of instant potatoes from the grocery. Sadly, we would have ordered something else, but they were out of almost every other side. Really? You don't run out...no matter how "busy" you were the previous night, you don't run out. If you do run out, you better make a ridiculously good replacement with things you have. 3) The dessert - I'd put this in the meh, but really it ended the night on a bad note. I ordered the Creme Brule. You get three small cups of desserts. One raspberry brule (which was pretty good but more a pudding than true brule), a chocolate sorbet (which was quite good except for the terrible "edible" bowl), and a standard brule. The standard brule was terrible. It was nothing but watery and runny more than a brule should be. There really isn't a unique dessert on the menu. The MEH - 1) Atmosphere - The dining area is basically just an extension of the casino in gaudiness. Cheap shalaked tables, booths that are way too large, and not even any such thing as a minimum dress code. Raggity shirts, shorts, etc are all welcome. There is a stricter dress code at bars down near the Arena than here. I understand it's a casino, but if I am paying a couple hundred dollars for a meal not counting drinks, you need to make me want to come back. Summary: Overpriced, underflavored, but with good service. If you really want a great meal (for LESS!) goto Ruth Chris or S&W. You can't price yourself into being a top line steakhouse without the taste and cooking to back it up. read more

The decor is amazing, our food was great, service was the best. Maybe a little pricey, with entrees at $36-65, and salads and soups ala carte. But our food was terrific [8 oz. filet] and the surroundings first class. A quiet spot, easy to carry on a conversation, with large, heavy chairs and partitions that separates dining areas, absorbing sound in the process. Waiter Hassan, was very informative and attentive, replacing knives and forks, bringing an extra plate when he saw us giving tastes of a salad or potato to each other -- all without being asked. Huge framed posters of old-time Hollywood stars lined one side of the curving room. Exquisite gown and tuxes in large glass cases, apparel worn by stars such as Liz Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Clark Gable and others, were on the opposite walls. We strolled through the restaurant after dining just to see this museum-quality exhibit. The endless supply of freshly baked loaves of bread, coated with some nice sugary something, was served with a dish with three types of utter, including a not overly spicy strawberry/jalapeno concoction. If ordering the wedge salad, which was much larger than the menu led us to expect, I recommend not accepting the green goddess dressing. Opt for anything else. For dessert try the house specialty, creme brulee -- large enough to share with another person. You don't have to gamble, just go there for a great dinner out. Boy has this place went downhill quickly! First of all, the casino has gotten worse over the last year or so. It's really disappointing to see half the machines are not working on any given night. Came for dinner and the staff was very accommodating. The calamari and crab cakes were delicious. Crab cakes weren't full of Panko crumbs like other places. Also ordered the mushroom soup it was a very odd texture with only 4 mushrooms so I returned it. The salad was also very basic and bland for a restaurant on the Forbes list. I give this two stars based on a mix of food quality and service. If it wasn't for the decent service we would be looking at half a star. Went with a friend on my birthday, March 17th of this year. Everything was a la carte and over priced, but hey it's my birthday so I will treat myself. I ordered the ribeye medium rare.....ugh it was rare and super bloody. Hey this cow gave it's life to be eaten so I wasn't gonna send it back. I've had much better steak in town for half the price. Carrabbas and Japanese steak houses seem to have it much more on point as well as the ambience we all seek after a long hard week at work. Thankfully I was on the up with my gambling that night so it didn't feel so much a loss. It was not until he next day did I noticed the waiter failed to include the entire leftover meal. I also want to state that the silverware had fingerprints. Generally, I like the Final Cut steakhouse. The food us very good quality and I have never had a bad meal. My most recent visit, number five to be precise, is no exception. The service is spotty and the staff rotates frequently. This occasion I even asked for a different waiter and then the hostess didn't even come back to ask me why? The problem with the Final Cut is that the wait staff knows nothing of a wine list and feel that handing you an iPad with a listing of wines is adequate. No explanation of good pairings. Last night was my third and "final" visit to The Final cut. My first experience was great. We had a great server who was very attentive and the food was top notch. The server we had that night told us about half off wine night on Mondays... Which coupled with the great food/service... Brought us back on a Monday night. We requested the same server as our previous experience was nothin short of excellent. We made RSVP and were seated promptly. After 15-20 minutes our requested server came to the table sweating like a pig. (We were confused as the restaurant did not look busy.) we asked if he remembered us and told him we were back on his recommendation of half off wine night. He said yes and we ordered a bottle of wine. 20 minutes go by before we saw him again with our wine and to place our order. We were starving because at this point it was pushing 830. We were still waiting on bread when we finally had to ask another server for some. We got our entrees about an hour after placing them. Which were of course cold. We finally get our bill and it turns out the bottle that we ordered (and the reason we came in the first place) was not half off. We mentioned this to the server and said (we said we were here for half off wine night) the reply we got was... Oh. Well that one isn't on the list. (Never knowing there was a list) Last night we met some friends there for one last shot. We were seated promptly with our RSVP. Service was again very slow. Wine glasses were NEVER filled and beer was left empty for long periods of time. The appetizer we ordered we specifically asked for with NO honey glaze sauce. Naturally it was all over the appetizer. 5 minutes before we got our entrees we were told that the sides we ordered were "out" which from reading previous reviews now... Is quite common. It amazes me that I frequently get better service at the local Applebee's, than a $100 a person meal/drink. Get it together guys. You can't breeze along just because you're in a casino. This is by far the best steakhouse in Columbus! Had an excellent evening with my girlfriend. The hostess Marissa was very attentive, polite and kind. Our server Monica was phenomenal, she said it was only her first shift by herself but showed poise and knowledge of the menu. She moved with a sense of urgency but was also able to deliver service that is much better than the other steakhouses in Columbus. The food was delicious, I got the bone in filet medium rare and it was cooked to perfection! The side dishes went very well with the dinner and were huge, definitely enough for 2 people. Additionally, the wine selection to pair with the food was extraordinary, we haven't been able to find any wines that the Prisoner Wine Company makes and they had 4 different blends. We were greeted and served drinks promptly. I enjoyed the Chop Chop salad-greens, bacon, egg, onion and tomato with the right amount of Italian dressing. The bread basket had a nice variety that included corn bread, brioche and Asiago bread sticks accompanied by several types of butter and a flavorful berry/pepper marmalade. Nothing spectacular but a decent variety. The filet Oscar was fair. What made it less than spectacular was the price. We don't mind paying for top notch meals and this wasn't one of them. The horseradish mashed potatoes were way too strong. I only ate a few bites. We shared a salted caramel apple cheesecake for dessert and enjoyed it. Again, given the cost of the meal, we were disappointed. The service was on par for the type of restaurant Final Cut would like to be but not reason enough to return. read more

Then comes the main course my aged strip steak and my wife's filet were cold so we send them back and I tell them to take the sides since they will be cold when they bring us our steaks. They take half the sides and our steaks. Ten minutes later they bring the same steaks back over cooked along with the half of the sides they took. Needless to say I'm not pleased at this point we have been there for a hour and I'm done. I throw down $100.00 bill and walk out. I will never return to that place for dinner. So if you want to pay $100.00 a plate for cold food and lousy service this is the place for you! For Fathers day my Daughter made reservations at the Final Cut Steakhouse at the Hollywood Casino. The plan was to have a nice steak dinner then play some cards. I love my Daughter and she meant well however the entire dinner experience was quite the disaster. First of all we had a reservation for 4PM and they opened a few minutes late, no big deal. The hostess was a little snooty and brought us to our table, I pulled out the chair and apparently the last person to eat at that table left a gooey sticky gob of some leftover meat or god knows what on the chair, I picked it up and handed it to the hostess, she looked horrified. We sat down and within a few minutes our waitress came to the table, we ordered cocktails and told her to put the drink order in and give us a couple of minutes to look at the menu, she was quite pushy and wanted to know if we wanted appetizers. She left and came back about a minute later and asked us again, and again we told her we were still looking. At this point my daughter asked why were we being rushed? there was nobody else there yet. Finally a third time she came back and we told her we were not going to order any appetizers and she said she would be back after she put our drink order in. Our drink order in? I thought she had already done that. The waitress comes back again and we order dinner, Caprese Salad, Filet, prime rib, sauteed mushrooms, baked potato. She brings us a bread basket and three small square ramekins with strawberry jalapeno, Cilantro butter, and chipotle butter. Also 2 tiny dishes with some sort of beef salad. We asked for regular butter for the bread. The beef salad think was OK, not great, the strawberry jalapeno sauce had seeds and no jalapeno taste, the cilantro butter was OK, and the chipotle butter had no taste either. It took 20 minutes and a reminder for the waitress to bring the regular butter. The salad is served, the tomatoes are ice cold and have green yellow hard inedible middles, the mozzarella cheese is not fresh and very dried out, and there is almost no oil or vinegar on it at all. I cut around the bad parts of the tomatoes. One more little tid bit of something annoying about this was that the salt and pepper shakers were these metal looking cubes, the salt shaker worked OK, but nothing was coming out of the holes of the pepper shaker, I had to pry out the bottom plug and we had to use it upside down and put the plug back in when we were done. Complete fail on that, it may have worked with fine black pepper, but did not work with the course grind they chose to use. Before dinner came, the waitress took our silverware including the clean unused silverware and gave us different knives, the clean knife she gave me was dirty with leftover food stuck to it. She seemed quite annoyed when I handed it back to her and asked for a clean one. Dinner comes out and we start to eat. The mushrooms look slimy and taste slimy. The potato looks like it was leftover from Yesterday, and pretty much tastes like it was heated up in a microwave. My steak is tough and chewy and after a few bites from different areas of the steak I have had enough, this is not worth eating, actually I find it quite disgusting. I ask the waitress to please remove it from the table and she walks away, about 20 minutes later the chef comes to the table, I show him the food and explain why I don't like it and he starts lecturing me that the reason that I don't like it is because I ordered it wrong. I ordered it wrong? I queried, and then I rubbed my big belly and explained to this little skinny so called chef how I have been ordering and eating steak out for the last 30 years without ever encountering one this bad. I was especially upset that I had asked the waitress, the busboy, and the chef to please remove the plate from the table and all three just left it there, honestly the sight of those slimy mushrooms was making me ill. Honestly I can not believe how rude and condescending the staff was, and to be insulted by the chef is even more disgusting and degrading to me. As far as I am concerned the entire staff should be fired. The manager, the executive chef, the chef who actually cooked my food, the hostess, and the wait staff. In my opinion these people are not qualified to serve White Castle hamburgers let alone run a steakhouse. No manager ever came over to speak with us and no replacement was offered. They took the salad, my steak and the mushrooms off the bill. I politely told them I would never return. This restaurant charges top dollar for its food to eat there and everything is a La Carte. If I could give them negative stars I would, avoid this restaurant at all costs. It will surely disappoint all of you as easily as it did me. read more
