The atmosphere was incredibly romantic and intimate; we were seated in a cozy corner that didn't feel too crowded, making it the perfect setting for a night out. Since it was our first time experiencing a fondue dinner, our waiter, Chris, was awesome! He was extremely helpful and informative, by walking us through the menu and offering great recommendations that made the process easy. The food was delicious, especially the savory dips, and the drinks were perfectly on par. We highly recommend both the espresso martini and the strawberry cocktail. We (part of 2) had a 5:15pm food appointment on a Thursday evening in late June before an event at the Fox theatre. It was quite unoccupied when we arrived, but did behind to fill in when we left around the 7pm timeframe. The service could not have been better on our specific visit. The drinks did take a while because the single bartender was not provided with any type of support from what we could see. While our table was intimate and discrete, it was in the small side to accommodate the space required for all of the different ingredients, condiments and eating/cooking tools. This restaurant has been on my list for awhile, and it did not disappoint! Location and Parking Located in Midtown, near the Fox Theater, means you will have to pay to park. Valet is directly in front of the restaurant for $10, or street parking is available around the corner for metered prices. Venue and Atmosphere You will see an open lobby with a bar in front of you and the host stand to the left. The lightning is dim and romantic, with many semi private booths for romantic dining. Restrooms are at the very back of the establishment, and are quite clean. My partner and I opted for the Thursdate package, so our table was covered in rose petals. Service The hostess and waitress were nice and helped us decide on fondue choices (it was our first time). Food and Beverages The Love Martini was a bit to sweet for my taste, and not very strong. The presentation was pretty though. The fondue (both cheddar and chocolate) was tasty and they served a wide variety of dippers (pretzels, fresh fruit, rice crispy treats, etc). We both ordered the house salad with ranch, which was tasty. The Thursday entree comes with chicken, shrimp, teriyaki beef, and filet mignon. Aside form the teriyaki, all of the meats could use some of the wine seasoning (provided). We cooked our meats in broth and on the cooktop, and they all turned out to be delicious. Whenever I take a stab at reviewing a chain restaurant that's already been reviewed about a zillion times, I try to focus on what makes this particular location stand out from the rest. Over the years, I've eaten at four or five different MP locations. I'm a fondue fan, and they do it *right.* Out of all of them, this one is absolutely my favorite. My wife and I are season pass holders at the Fox Theatre, and this location is a short walk just a couple of blocks away. We always end up here for a pre- or post-show meal, and it has never disappointed. Manager Jen King and her wonderful servers always take great care of us, and they're currently partnering with St. Jude Hospital. The perks of donating are amazing and the donation basically pays for itself - not that simply supporting the wonderful work St. Jude does isn't reward enough! Our go-to is the Big Night Out. I haven't been to the Melting Pot in years and that last time was in Las Vegas. Things To Know: 1. Book a reservation and prepare for at the very least 2.5 hours for your visit. 2. If you want two pots, let the hostess know when you book your reservation. Standard is one pot per pair. 3. You will smell like fried goodies when you leave. The Experience: It can be a bit confusing but in a condensed version, your meal is 4 courses (they have al la carte options but you'd be doing yourself a disservice money-wise and experience-wise). First Course: You choose your cheese sauce and they prepare it in a double boiling pot. It comes with tomatoes, apples, bread, carrots and cauliflower. Second Course: You choose 1 of 4 salads. Third Course: You each choose an entree which is about 6-7 different combos of uncooked duck, salmon, chicken, steak, shrimp, ahi tuna, or veggies. It's about 3-5 pieces per meat that comes in the entree you choose. (There is an option to get one larger entree with everything.) Here you choose your cooking method as well which is boiling, cast iron grilling or tempura. The side veggies you get depend on your cooking method. Fourth Course: You choose your dessert fondue, the yin and yang was delicious! It comes with 2-4 pieces of angel cake, strawberries, pineapples, bananas, brownies, cookies, Oreo covered marshmallows, waffles and rice crispy treats. Overall the experience was very fun, we did cast iron and be mindful because it does pop. The environment is suitable for kids (they have a kids menu but the food will still have to be prepared as the regular entrees) but a date night or girls/guys out would be more enjoyable. I asked to sit at the bar and was told that they don't serve food at the bar when, FOR YEARS, I have been coming, sitting at the bar, to eat food. My only gripe is that our cheese course tasted rather off, but our waiter was more than happy to provide us with another cheese. Our broth space Fortune of the experience was excellent as well, and the dessert was 10 out of 10 out of this world they really should consider giving people more the Brownies! I believe the catch here is that you're paying for the experience of cooking you're own foods and dessert in front of you on your table. I was really disappointed with my drink. I think it was around $10 (maybe more, but don't fully remember) for my Sangria. It wasn't that great, and I finished it in 3 sips because it was mostly ice. However, our favorite is the downtown location General Manger Mrs.JK. She truly cares about the service her patrons receives, holds her team to a high level of professionalism and addresses any customer issue right away. This location is like the Ritz Carlton of Melting Pots. During our most recent dine on last Wednesday, we got a two burner on one burner we got the Mojo cooking style and the other burner we got the flat top grille. What an excellent combination try and you won't regret it! The charcuterie board is great also if you are on a Carnivore or Keto. My girlfriend and I ventured to this Melting Pot after countless positive reviews, and after trying it out, I can positively say I would continue to come back. I absolutely love The Melting Pot. We used to visit for special occasions like my husband's birthday, which has become a tradition after 5 years. We have since added father's day, mother's day, and date nights. We now have introduced our 3 year old daughter and she too fell in love, so we visit regularly for no reason at all! It's such a fun experience to make our way through the menu and try each cheese, cooking style, salad, and chocolate. The cocktails are also great! In the past month alone, we have visited at least 4 times and our daughter lights up to watch the cooktop every time which has made it an entirely new experience. Next we may make our way around to each location in the Atlanta area just to switch it up. The secluded tables make for great date nights and even with the presence of covid, it has made it even more romantic to be so far away from other tables. Definitely a must in our family read more

Parking: there is no designated lot or valet here - however there are multiple lots and decks within a block as well as some paid street parking. Coming here is 1000% for the experience and not necessarily about the food. I would absolutely make a reservation beforehand, I don't think they take much walk-in seating so make a rezzie. We were seated right at our reservation time in a booth that felt 50% private and secluded, while also kind of making you feel like you were crammed in a corner alone to be forgotten. They have lots of open seating in the middle of the restaurant and then there are some booths kind of tucked away. The problem with the tucked away booths is you feel like you won't be seen or will be forgotten about....and we were. After 20+ minutes of being seated and our server never showing up to our table, we flagged down the first human we could find to ask if they could find out who our server was (I've worked in the industry before and going more than a couple of minutes without even a "I'll be right with you" is completely unacceptable). Turns out our server had a large party and just decided she didn't want our table, so another gentleman served us and was so nice and attentive. He checked on you often enough while also allowing you some time to enjoy each course. He was great! For $98 you can get 4 courses (cheese, salad, entree, and dessert) for two people and it is more than enough food! You share 1 cheese course, you each pick your own salad and entree, and you share 1 dessert. Cheese course: Classic Alpine, which is one of their signature items. I found it to be a little heavy on the white wine flavor, but still pretty good. Salad: I forgot to snap a photo of the salads, but they're a perfect smaller portion with plenty of dressing already served on the salad. Main: we got a multitude of meats in their signature Coq au Vin. Honestly, this cooking method didn't do it for me. In my opinion, I would just do the flat top grill and enjoy the grilled meats with the 5 sauces they provide. In this, you just ended up boiling your meat which is pretty depressing to do with a piece of Filet Mignon. It also comes with a small amount of broccoli, potatoes, and mushrooms. Dessert: DEFINITELY the best part - to be honest, I just recommend people come here for an a la carte dessert after having dinner somewhere else. The Flaming Turtle was delicious and had lots of good dipping options (the waffle was hella dry, though) It's a good place for a fun date night experience, my recommendation would be to come here just for dessert (it's the best course here, by far) read more
