Musket Room, you've ruined me. Everything we had was just so good--like quietly-sit-there-and-chew-in-awe good. We started with the crudo, which was insanely fresh and basically melted on contact. Then came the jamón croquettes which... I don't even know how to describe. Crispy, salty, perfect. Like if a mozzarella stick went to Europe and got a PhD. The salmon with trout roe and dashi broth? Honestly, I'm still thinking about that broth. I wanted to ask for a to-go cup and sip it on the way home like a sad little soup goblin. The duck was rich and tender and came with cherries that somehow made the whole dish feel flirty? I don't know. It worked. And dessert was a grilled peach with mascarpone that made me feel like I was doing something good for my body even though it was mostly cream. Service was lovely. Vibe was relaxed but still felt special. Would 100% come back and order all of this again. Might even share next time. No promises.

This was a nice tasting menu. I had the vegan option. Pea Tartlet - vegetal and fresh, with a nice roasted corn note from the crust. Sourdough and sunflower butter - the bread has a ton of deeply developed flavor, great airy crumb, and a crispy crust. The butter tastes flavorful and it's easy to forget it's vegan. Gazpacho - fresh, herbaceous, and a variety of textures, with some slight sweetness from the melon. Tomatoes - sweet, savory, and tart. There was a nice balance between the tomatoes, plums, and the clear broth at the bottom. This tasted fresh and summery. Squash Blossom - crispy, and strong truffle flavor. I noticed a distinct, overpowering astringent note in the puree, almost like olive oil was allowed to smoke. This was probably the only thing out of balance the whole night. Gnocchi - the supplement was totally worth it, as this was my favorite dish. The earthy savoriness from the chanterelle mushrooms balanced well with the crispy and perfectly chewy gnocchi and the herbal and nutty sauce base. Turnip - intensely savory, with a touch of brightness to cut through. The fried patty at the middle was my favorite part for the slight crispiness it brought. Coconut sorbet - light and refreshing palate cleanser with coconut and lime flavors. The soda comes from an old timey soda bottle, which I thought was a cool touch. Cherry and chocolate - a great execution of a classic. The cream doesn't taste vegan in the least bit. The chocolate is also fruity on its own, which plays nicely with the cherry. The meal, gnocchi addition, and a drink came to $205 with tax and tip. It's pricey, but not as expensive as other tasting menus in the city. Definitely worth a try.

Dare I say this is better than Dirt Candy?! Every course felt like an ode to the simplicity of fresh vegetables with unique flavor pairings. I can honestly say I went in thinking I wouldn't like the cabbage entrée but wow, that's how cabbage done right. My favorite was the Delicata squash because it comes with a spicy purée in the middle and with pomegranate seeds to balance the spice. The only thing that was lacking imo was the dessert. Vegan cheesecake is hard to pull off. The cheesecake definitely needed a proper crust. Other important notes were the attention to detail. They offered complimentary coat check and a box of petit fours. The meal was paced so perfectly over the 2 hours we spent.

(Rating 3.75) Given that I am such a foodie, it seems to come as a shock to people (and me) that I had not been to a Michelin star restaurant. I was shopping on the street on a Friday night after work and noticed that unmistakable red sign on the window and decided it was now or never. I was promptly seated at the bar and opted for their a la carte menu (instead of the tasting). All the staff here are top tear. The bartender was so attentive and lovely - and very knowledgeable about his craft and food, in general. I got the sticky beak for my drink and it was so cute. Based off the description, I did expect it to be a little sweeter, but regardless it was a good drink and the foam on top was such a fun treat at the end. Meal wise, I started with the gnocchi. I actually haven't had gnocchi before (the concept never made sense to me because why are we combining potatoes and pasta?) but as a lover of potatoes, of course I enjoyed this. I really loved the texture and the and flavors of everything together. Really solid introduction to the meal (and to gnocchi) for me. I followed up with the duck - which I unfortunately was not very fond of. The dish was heavily carried by the sauces and garnishes because the duck itself had no flavor. Maybe even a heavier hand in salting the protein would've helped it, but I can say that the cook on it was perfect. At this point I was a little disappointed - was this really a Michelin star restaurant? But I am so happy that I decided to get dessert and even happier that the bartender recommended I try the trio of seasonal ice creams cause that right there is exactly what I was expecting from this experience. All the ice creams had an herby/savory element to them. The descriptions were really long, but I believe there was a honey/rosemary, mint/cucumber and one that was lemon based. I'm generally not too big of a fan of sorbets, so the mint one didn't resonate with me as much (this is more of a personal preference thing, not that it was a bad) but the other two... oh my god. The honey one came with some honeycomb and wow what an amazing texture and flavor. I had such a FUN time eating ice creams with such complex flavors. I usually shy away from ice creams when I go out for dinner, but this was a true culinary experience and couldn't sing higher praises. This place was pretty cool. I'd love to come back at some point to try their tasting menu, so let me start saving up for that, haha.

Good value. Not much really stood out aside from a couple of the omnivore courses. I hear very good things about the vegetarian prefix but I didn't try that. The seven course menu won't really have you feel full. We got second dinner after this one. The cold brew negroni was fantastic, the other drinks were lackluster. The outside garden is pleasant, but the AC is pretty loud. I would sit inside by the window facing the garden. Best seat in the house. It's an easy reservation to get, and gives you some impressive variety for a decent price. So taking all that into consideration, it gets a cautious recommend.

The was an amazing experience from beginning to end. We had reserved the outdoor garden room, as we were traveling to New York to celebrate my dogs 12th birthday. The day of our reservation, they informed us they were closing the garden room due to weather, but they said they would still create a space for us in the restaurant so we could bring our dog, as they knew it was her special day. I really appreciate the extra effort they made to make this happen The staff was ultra friendly and welcoming, from the communication before we arrived, to the ultra welcoming host and all the servers throughout the meal. And of course we can't forget about the food. Every dish was perfect. from their small bites, breads, mains and desserts, they all tasted amazing. They even served a sweetbread course, and I've never been a fan of sweetbread, but this was the first time I actually enjoyed it. I love when a restaurant figures out a way to open my mind.

Step aside everyone else As someone who's very passionate about fine dining, I often get asked what the best "deal" in nyc is for a solid tasting menu Without a shred of doubt, Musket Room has the most incredible deal out of any high end place I've eaten in the city. I booked a reservation for one right near my birthday to try this place for the first time. After finishing multiple infused vodka carafes at my mainstays (Mari Vanna and RVR), my friend wanted to join me. We have tried to do fine dining escapades before but it has never worked. I swear we are cursed. The last time we tried this, he ended up throwing up in a 1* bathroom, my phone died, and we met up after I got the four course prix fixe to go in a state of egregious vexation. I called them and they immediately accommodated my last minute request for an extra diner. The Musket Room was truly a symphony of flavors. Every course on their $125 tasting menu delivered a memorable punch to the palate. The true standouts to me were the caviar course (the citrus herbal elements took this to a level I could hardly fathom), the tuna and pear crudo (I USED to think crudos on tasting menus were lazy until I experienced the absolutely blissful combo of Tuna, pear, and dill here), the pork jowl (as someone who moved to Atlanta 3 years ago, I'm shocked they delivered perfectly executed southern BBQ and grits here), and the dessert croque-Monsieur (I thought I was going to hate it, but I seriously would shove these down my throat every waking second if given the chance). If you read through that horrible run on sentence, then you know Musket Room is worth it. And you SHOULD go.

The Musket Room was incredible! Ate here during our trip to NYC for our birthdays and did their tasting menu. Started out with caviar service and then went through 7 incredible courses. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Notable dishes were the Scallop with Tamarind and the Razor Clam with Potato. Highly recommend!

Located in Greenwich Village this restaurant is easily accessible by metro, bus, taxi, etc. Do not recommend driving yourself or parking or wine pairing! We were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. We had a reservation, which is highly recommended for this restaurant with both Michelin and James Beard recognition. Appreciate the fact that the dress code was relaxed in the extremely hot weather so that my husband could wear dress shorts in lieu of pants. Enjoyed every course of our tasting menu immensely. Particularly, the foam cauliflower soup, which was extraordinary and surprising. Anchovy butter served with sourdough bread was a nice twist. Would've appreciated a little bit more explanation of our food as they were so exquisitely and delicately prepared. The wine pairing was fun, different and very well done. Honestly, not sure that the pasta add on was good value for the money. The Wagyu option extra was definitely worth it. Enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend to anyone that appreciates high quality in their food and service.

The musket room has been on my list of Michelin star restaurants to try for awhile. We made a reservation a few days before for a weekday dinner spot, weekends were taken so make your reservations early. It's located close to a couple of train stations so commuting was easy. The restaurant was elegantly decorated and our server was very nice. Their tasting menu seemed very reasonably priced and had many courses and they were nice enough to swap out things for our food restrictions. The presentation of each dish as you can see was wonderful, the mix of flavors were very unique. The sour dough bread and anchovie butter was a very unique bread dish that was memorable. The wagyu stake, which was a +$30 from the actual menu, was not as tender as I expected, and we actually preferred the pork more, which did not need extra cost. Overall cooking was worth the visit and they also had an extensive wine selection that was fun to choose from. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a romantic night out.

Celebrated an anniversary at the Musket Room and had a wonderful time. The decor is rustic and presented a laid back vibe, however the staff were all top notch. From the acknowledgement of our celebration from multiple staff members to the attentiveness throughout the entire meal and accommodations for food aversions/allergies, they exceeded even my high expectations from this caliber of restaurant. We were seated at a spacious table and never felt rushed throughout the night. We had the omnivore menu and many dishes from the vegan menu, two supplements, a wine pairing, Mocktail, and we ordered a decadent chocolate cake ahead of time to celebrate the evening. All of the menu items were superb, some highlights were the Kristal caviar cauliflower foam course, Iberico ham and smoked mussels supplement, Ora king salmon substitution, and the tomato tofu dish. I would not hesitate to order everything on the menu again. Additionally, the wine pairing was outstanding, paired wonderfully, and a great value, and the Somm was awesome and willing to answer any of my questions. The fact that this wonderful restaurant is on InKind just increases the value.

Celebrated Valentines Day here, and got to experience the Musket Room x Salt&Straw menu. We were really impressed how they were able to weave in the ice cream/sweet aspect into all the dishes. The cocktail I got had sorbet inside which was cute, but definitely too sweet for me. The food was perfect though, we thoroughly enjoyed every dish. Service was great and the sommelier was so nice.

A wonderful spot that provides a fantastic Vegan tasting menu and an omnivore option for those who are not of the same palate. This is a review of the tasting menu for Omnivore $145 and iberico pork supplement for $18 (4/5) Honestly, the white asparagus ALONE could have made this place a 5/5 because those are some phenomenal veggies. Texture, plating, and each bite being a new surprise was an EXPERIENCE. Service is on-point, they always made sure we were okay and refilled accordingly even without being asked. Exquisite Service for sure. (5/5) Other than that this is probably one of the best Vegetarian tasting menus that a person can get as Musket Room is making strides. A point taken down because the casual atmosphere brought some really loud guest that took away from appreciating the environment or food as a nice date spot. Some of the food also did not really hit like the halibut or potato cauliflower. Can't say I was the biggest fan of them. If you do get the garden (It is a rule that you MUST be punctual, it would be an EASY 5/5. It looks beautiful and most likely out of the way from all the noise) The Musket room is absolutely worth the visit for Vegans specifically and for those willing to give Vegan tasting menus a try as the Omnivore gives you the best of both worlds. P.S. The bathroom is great. No complaints. It is very clean and you honestly feel rude messing it up.

This dessert, part of the vegan menu, was absolutely delicious!

    Have they stopped serving lunch?

Yep, they're only open from 5PM-11PM for dinner.

How do you make a regular dinner reservation, I only see Tasting menu options on Resy?

My son and daughter in law are taking us and her parents here for Thanksgiving. Here's a dumb question. Is there any kind of dress code/recommendation?

There didn't appear to be any dress code. I came with my team straight after work and we were all wearing t shirts and jeans. Despite having a Michelin star, it still feels pretty casual.

Thinking of coming here for the tasting menu but am cautious about eating indoors during COVID. Is the indoor seating well-spaced out?

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). We sat upstairs (we had a reservation) and of all the people on the top there was a party of 4 (us), a party of 8 (all dudes celebrating something) and the rest of the tables were on a DATE - which I thought was funny. Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached. I would recommend it to folks who are looking for a good place to either go out on a date or a family type meal.

The food (dingle pie and spice bag chips) were also really good. The spice bag chips seasoning was really good. I've visited the Parlor twice, and I strongly suggest booking a reservation weeks in advance--especially on weekdays--as walk-ins can be tough to secure. On my latest visit to celebrate a friend's birthday, we kicked things off with the Amazake Kick and Button Down cocktails. The Amazake Kick was balanced with just the right amount of sweetness, making it a fantastic starter. For food, we ordered the scotch egg, sliders, and fish and chips. The scotch egg was solid, though the sausage layer felt slightly dry this time around. The sliders were great, while the fish and chips were decent--nicely crispy, but the fish needed a bit more flavor seasoning. We tried several other drinks throughout the night, and my top three recommendations would be the Amazake Kick, Hotmail, and Lock & Key. If you're searching for a cozy spot with great drinks and light bites, this place is definitely worth adding to your list!

It's a very small space, so it may be a bit of a wait for a seat. We came around 8:45 PM, and got a spot at the bar after about 20 minutes. We tried the yuzu contact and the ma-chet baker, and the ma-chet baker was definitely our favorite. It tasted just like a matcha latte, and I liked the bits of gen maicha in it. It wasn't very strong however. The yuzu contact was also very light and citrusy.

The tea was strong and fragrant - it is on the sweeter side, a bit like dessert, so i had to pair it with water, but it was still yummy and would recommend yuzu contact - this was alright! Typical yuzu but ive had better ones - personally feel like the yuzu can be brighter and a bit sweeter rating: 4/5 - the drinks were all good but nothing particularly stood out except for the hojicha colada - the vibe and the music really brought up my rating though! It was such a cute, cozy, intimate spot for dates - small speakeasy with only a few seats, similar to bars in japan; it's one of those japanese listening bars and i love it - there was light jazz in the background, not too loud that i had to shout - the mood was perfect; I couldn't stop staring at the interior decor and immerse myself in this little cozy corner - service was super quick, nothing much to note IG: @nom.noms.only

Mood lighting, comfortable seating, great drinks in a cozy and Victorian-inspired space are the perfect blend of unique and. I always felt like I was part of something special the few times enjoyed creative, delicious, and strong libations from the pros at the bar. While it has always been pricey, I do feel like the excellent service ambiance, and drink quality warrant this, but may prevent more folks from becoming regulars so to speak. I love the clever and compact bathroom design, too. IYKYK Long live Apotheke!

Fifteen years later and Apotheke is still one of my favorites!…read more You will walk past this hidden speakeasy several times before finding it. I could tell you to look for the blue beaker sign that says "Chemist" but the better tell is the random guy sitting on a stool outside. He'll be the only person on the street, so no worries about missing him! The menu has changed over the years, but the quality has not. The bartenders are social and personable. And the prices are in line for the area. My bestie and I loved the vibe. One of the best speakeasies she's had the pleasure of experiencing. Don't miss out on this place!
