Pancakes & South of the border omelette.

If you're looking for that homemade breakfast and actually feel like you're home (without you cooking and clean up, and actually better than you would make it), then this is home for you. Here you will find all your breakfast classics, biscuits & gravy, various omelettes, eggs however you desire them, pancakes, coffee, etc., and you'll be given great service. Bring your stretchy pants, you're gonna want to try it all.

Food was amazing and the portions and price was great . My grand daughter and I could not decide on breakfast and we decided to try something new and it was delicious plus loved the coffee

Not sure how we've missed this place for as long as we've been in Tomball, maybe because they close at 2p, and closed completely on Sundays. But happy we stumbled on it today.i love businesses like this, always happy to try them out and support them. Although I'm guessing they are doing as well as they want to be doing. The nook is a perfect name because it is literally a snippet of a place, 12 tables total. Very plainly decorated with big open windows looking out onto Main Street. In actuality, the perfect diner. I walked by a table that had a cinnamon roll that looked really good, even to me. I say that because I am not a big fan of sweets , but even my attention was caught. The menu was surprisingly diverse, everything from that monster cinnamon roll to breakfast tacos. I ordered bacon and eggs with a pancake. I ordered my eggs pasted but I'm pretty sure they were poached. That's okay The egg yolk was still a little runny. I definitely would have preferred it a lot runny but it's okay. Bacon was fantastic. Crispy but not burnt. Definitely how I like it. If I were to take issue with anything, it would be the one small path of frozen butter that they served with the pancake. I had to ask for more letter which I promptly got, but there was no way it was going to be melted butter. The coffee was good and plentiful overall a great experience. And I definitely recommend and we will be back

This was such a great local find. The dining room is small and cozy and you get a home town feeling. The service was excellent, like family is serving you. And the food was delicious. I will be back!

I was in the hospital and my other half went to The Nook for breakfast. He had been one other time and said it was really good. On his second visit, he brought me a cinnamon roll and WOWZER!!! This thing is massive in size! It's also delicious! I was able to share it with a few nurses who also loved it! I can't wait to try other items on their menu! When I do, I'll be sure to update my review.

Nice little hole in the wall cafe. A good note, if you're going, just know the hours between 8 am and 10 am you're gonna be waiting a long time. So it's good to wake up early to get to this place. There was plenty of parking, and the restrooms were very clean

    Biscuits and gravy.. Delicious

Went in on a Saturday morning at 11 am and it was a15 minute wait for a table (not bad.) The place is not big but has that true small owner integrity. They have 11 booths and 1 handicap booth/ table at the end left hand corner. It's very intimate and has a nostalgic southern feeling to it. Joseph was our waiter/ cashier. (found out at the end that he's also one of the owners along with his mother and sister Who are all very present running the restaurant) True family owned establishment. They are Covid friendly with plexiglass to separate the boots and give you more conversation privacy. Masks are not mandated (but I actually like the choice of having a choice lol) Ordered at 11:32 and received our first food item at 11:35... talk about fast pace! The coffee is hot, the orange juice has pulp and the water is ice cold.. That's great and all on drinks but the food... oh the food... The homemade big cinnamon roll is definitely a must. It's soft, gooey has a hint of nutmeg and covered in sweet icing. Went great with my hot coffee. (ordered this as an appetizer style but new we were not going to finish it) Chicken fried steak breakfast: Served with two eggs, hash brown or grits and a pancake or toast choice. Best chicken fried steak I've had in a long time. I asked for my gravy on the side thinking I might be taking some of it home.. I ate the whole thing.. every bite. Not only was it fried to perfection, but the meat itself was very tender and seasoned wonderfully. I asked for my eggs to be over easy, and they were spot on. Even the pancake had a great flavor to it. Biscuits and gravy: fluffy biscuits with country sausage peppered gravy, these biscuits are definitely made in house. I didn't even need to add salt or pepper or anything to this. It was delicious as it came. Half order of French toast with meat: I chose pan sausage with this. If I must be honest, this was probably my least favorite meal. It's not that it was bad but after tasting everything else I was expecting some type of over the top French toast and it was just French toast lol.. still good, yet not amazing or different as the other dishes, I would still order if I was in the mood for French toast. If you are looking for a place with an extensive menu and southern -favorites, you definitely need to add this place to your "must try's". Not only will you be amazed at the freshness and taste but you will be supporting a family owned business. We have plans to return to try the Chicken fried steak sandwich.. my mouth watered when I saw this but I was too full lol.

10 stars! Food and service was the best. Highly recommend trying the meat lovers omelette but can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Outdoor ambiance was perfect for my wife and two small dogs.

This time I tried one of their specials - a soup and sandwich combo for $8.95 - and it completely exceeded expectations. The soup was basically a deconstructed pot pie with a homemade biscuit on top, and the portion was huge. I happened to get the last serving from the pot, so they hooked it up with a little extra instead of letting it go to waste, which I definitely appreciated. What really stood out was how hearty it was. There was way more protein than you'd expect from a typical soup, so it was actually filling and satisfying, not just something light on the side. Definitely a great value for the price.

Again we asked the hostess to intervene. Got our food. He never came back to refill our drinks or take away our dirty dishes or ask if wanted more fish. Wholly Crepe!! Russian Bistro - Tomball…read more What does authentic Russian hospitality look like? It looks less like a restaurant and more like a small doorway into someone's home -- a place where food is not rushed, and conversation is part of the meal. EXTERIOR: At first glance the building is modest, almost shy. A few outdoor seats, a quiet frontage, and public parking just around the corner. The kind of place you could easily pass -- and shouldn't. INTERIOR: Once you go up the steps, open the door, and the Northwest Houston surroundings fall away. The room feels lifted from a Russian village house, ( ): warm wood floors, wooden window frames, and intimate spacing. If you've ever been to Russia or watched any of the Russian movies or cartoons, this space will be familiar. Four tables and sixteen chairs, sit to the left; to the right, a narrow staircase evokes a country dacha, (). Larger tables gather families together, even a few small chairs waiting for children. Main room offers unique, (in glass shelves) Lomonosov Porcelain 1744 dishes, from St. Petersburg. As well as, carved wooden dishes, hand-painted details. Ask Mila and Bill for details. RUSSIAN HOSPITALITY: Arriving shortly after opening, Bill greeted me with a smile. Conversation came naturally and without agenda, as if we've known each other a long time. Mila, came out shortly after from the kitchen and I was able to converse with her in Russian and English. Both shared their meet story and how they decided to start this adorable business, May 2015. The story feels better heard from them directly. I set down to look at their abundant menu options. Meals here require patience. Many dishes are prepared from scratch. Part of Russian Hospitality is to welcome you in to their home, sit you down, spike up a genuine conversation and make a delicious home cooked meal. The rhythm slows; the outside schedule becomes irrelevant. I decided to order four of their popular dishes; #7 Tvorog Crepe, #24 Smoked Salmon Crepe, Siberian Pelmeni Bowl, and Cheburek. Let's go over each dish briefly. Gordon Ramsay once said - The way to know when something is cooked from scratch or microwaved is by the amount of steam or sizzling coming from the plate. #7 Tvorog Crepe - $12 Homemade Ricotta Cheese, Choice of Berries, Condensed Milk or Honey. I ordered mine with mixed berries, white powder and condensed milk. Something about taking each bite dipped in condensed milk with all the toppings makes your taste buds dance. Generous portions. #24 Smoked Salmon Crepe - $16 Tvorog Cheese, Salmon, Cherry Tomato, Green Onion, Salted Dill. As someone that adores a good salmon dish, clean flavors and a proper texture contrast -- delicate fish against warm crepe. The pairing works and generous portion. Siberian Pelmeni Bowl (24ct) - $17 Handmade dumplings in butter with your choice of dipping sauce. True Russian Hospitality - dish ware presentation along with the cuisine. The three-layered, brown color bowl looked presentable. Pelmeni looked freshly made and the steam coming from the bowl would make Gordon Ramsay smile. A slightly meatier filling would improve the ratio, but the flavor remains familiar and nostalgic. Cheburek - $9.50 Handmade Fried Meat Pie filled with Ground Beef & Onion. Served with your choice of dipping sauce. Good presentation and the taste was a good pairing combination with sour cream. Exterior texture was crispy, while the interior was soft. A fuller filling would strengthen it. OVERALL EXPERIENCE: While photographing the dishes, some cooled before I could eat them. Mila noticed and worried -- a small moment can be explained. If you've been around a Russian woman, you know they want nothing but the best for you when it comes to food. Wholly Crepe!! Offers some of the most unique and delicious cuisines for those who crave something different. Everything is made to order, from scratch, in small batches preserving authenticity and flavor. Come prepared to pause. The reward is a meal that feels cooked for you, not merely served to you.

Pet Peeve 2 all the prices rang up a dollar or two higher than the menu prices. Third fact there's about six tables with comfortable chairs and the rest have hard plastic chairs. so if you are coming at a busy time, you aren't going to have a padded seat. Countering these irritations is the fact that the food is actually really really good. It is simple fare, but really well done. The potato soup hovered just on the soup side of the line between potato soup and mashed potatoes, but had fresh crispy bacon and scallions added right before serving. The roast beef sandwich had sliced roast freshly from the oven just for this sandwich. So we got five star food but the rest of the package doesn't add up for me. I'm going to give it four.
