Oak Table Cafe was one of the highlights of our trip, and we can't stop thinking about it. It's a local favorite, so be prepared for a short wait. The service was warm and friendly, the atmosphere felt homey and welcoming, and the portions were generous. The apple pancake alone is worth the visit!

Raspberry Lemon Bar French Toast breakfast special

I finally got a chance to try Oak Table. My mom said that the setup is different, and there are more tables in there now. It was really crowded, but I was glad we got a table without a wait. The waitresses all seemed very polite and happy. I was going to try their famous Apple Pancake, but then saw the Raspberry Lemon Bar French Toast breakfast special. The flavor was terrific, and the texture of the French toast was the best I've ever experienced. My mom liked the look of my raspberry syrup so much, that she asked the waitress to take away her maple, and bring raspberry for her pancakes. I also tried their very popular bacon. It had great flavor, but was very dry. Next time, I'd ask for it limp. I guess the crispy bacon is really popular, but wasn't really my thing. The flavor it was so amazing, though, that I can't wait to try it again, just less cooked. The Hawaiian Sunrise mocktail tasted so much like cherry, that I couldn't taste the pineapple that much, but the hot chocolate was seriously the best hot chocolate I've ever had. It was so creamy and sweet, and just the right strength of chocolate flavor.

Found this place on Yelp that had many reviews. We reached here for late brunch/ lunch. It was beautiful old fashioned interiors and all the servers were wearing beautiful dresses. We ordered an omelet with mushroom sauce and another omelet with tomato sauce. The mushroom one was good. Both the omelets came in with a side of potato pancakes. We even ordered freshly squeezed orange juice. This place had toilets with wheelchair assistance and a diaper changing station too. Our baby was given toys, coloring sheets, and colors and her chair was attached to our table.

Of course you need to fuel up here before your hikes.... Everything was delicious. I ordered the mushroom sauce on the side of my Eggs Casey. The sauce is tasty and would not worry me to have it on top (sometimes it's too much)- not this! The side of pancakes are just fluffy and tasty. We didn't order the apple pancake- but will tomorrow when we return!

Possibly the best breakfast I've had in Washington! At first, we were a bit apprehensive about the price (around $15-20 per entree), but once the food came out we were astonished by the portion size. The apple pancakes were especially massive and could feed 3-4 people. Not only were the portion sizes generous, the food was tasty too. The apple pancakes had so many textures: crumbly brown sugar, crisp crusts, stewed apples, and custardy interior. The omelet was also one of the fluffiest omelets I have ever had. I would go out of my way to get breakfast here again.

This place is amazing and I wish it was closer to home. Came for breakfast and beat the crowd (line out the door when we left). The decor is really unique - kind of a mix of 1980s, grandma-chic, and classy. Our waiter was super nice and gave us recommendations because we were torn on what to get. We tried a huge assortment of things and loved everything - apple pancake (YUM), german pancake aka dutch baby as I've heard them called (great), biscuits & gravy (grandpa loved it), regular pancakes (great), and a couple other wonderful dishes. Great coffee from a local roaster. We will absolutely come back here.

Top-Eggs Benny w/fries, side bacon, Below-Eggs Benny country style w/potato pancakes, Bloody Mary, coffee, good but $90w/tip for breakfast??

Had to revisit this place after our great meal about 15 years ago. Everything looked and felt as though only a year had passed. Staff super friendly, sadly like everywhere else the prices have risen greatly over time. Hubby ordered the classic Eggs Benny w/ fries instead of hash browns w/coffee. I ordered Eggs Benny Country Style on a croissant instead of muffin. Each were a whopping $20.50! (For an old school cafe that's high.... if it was a fancier water view place or maybe a fresh crab or salmon Benny sure.) Mine came with their grated potato pancakes. I asked about the sausage gravy since it came with a mushroom sauce so she brought me a small side but realized later was charged 3.25. They advertise their bacon as premium thick sliced from Seattle butcher, hickory smoked weighing over 1/2lb for 4 slices (9.00) it was good but honestly looked and tasted like a standard good bacon. We were expecting something more like decadent crispy pork belly for the price and description. Hubby enjoyed his meal, but eggs Benny should have a soft yolk and both of ours were cooked past that. Our server was so sweet we didn't want to complain. Coffee $5 but was good blend and ended up buying a bag they offer at register for $12 from local roaster down the street. My meal was good.... but unsure about the mushroom sauce and I love them. It was like this underlying slight sour taste that kept me from really enjoying it. The potato pancakes were different from what I recall. I thought they were more like latkes with a crispy potato taste/texture but these are so finely grated that you can't even detect they are shredded potatoes. It was more like a super thin buckwheat flavor to me, unique but was good with the yummy applesauce & sour cream. I ordered a Bloody Mary $12.50 was flavorful didn't feel any alcohol but fine. We enjoyed our meal for the most part, couple of slight disappointments but the prices are so extreme I don't know how people can afford eating breakfast here. Our bill with tip came to $90!!!! That's just crazy. I saw on the menu the price for side items like $4.75 for ONE EGG??? $5.95 for TOAST??? Wowza, Sorry but it just takes the enjoyment out of dining. That's just being greedy to your loyal customers.

Very creative breakfast menu. There was quite a crowd, but they gave us 10-15 minutes wait time and seated us in less than 10 mins. blueberry buttermilk pancake - rating: 4/5 western omelette with mozzarella cheese and side of potatoes - rating: 4.5/5 Drinks were good too- mimosa and mocktail sangsria.

We always enjoy our food at Oak Table cafe! Jon ordered a soy milk latte with sugar-free vanilla while I ordered a fresh squeezed OJ with separate glass of ice. For breakfast, Jon ordered a garden egg white scramble with fresh fruit and Jon ordered the apple pancakes! OMG! Everything was sooooo yummy and my Apple pancakes were so huge, I'm definitely getting g two meals out of it! Service is always super nice and today was no exception! The guy at a table next to ours also remarked how nice the waitstaff is! Great place for breakfast!

We went here off the recommendation from a coworker who had went here on a trip. Wow!!! This is perhaps the best breakfast place we've been to. It's a bit pricey but well worth it. Decor is similar to the 80s which is nice for a change. Service was prompt and friendly. But the food is where it shines. Bacon was AMAZING!! Apple pancakes were AMAZING!! The coffee was great! There was nothing bad about it!

    Katherine M.

Wow wow wow, what a fantastic restaurant. Came here for breakfast and their menu is extensive and mouth watering. Their bacon is cut by the butcher, are thick and great. French toast and buttermilk pancakes were so delicious. Their coffees?? So good! Probably the best mocha I've had. They also have alternative milks. Staff was so sweet and the way they interacted with their locals? So awesome. Loved the ambiance, wish I could've stayed longer

Both eggs were broken and one was overcooked. So relieved they did good and replaced them with yummy over easy eggs. We stopped in on Thanksgiving Day for breakfast, and even though they were packed, the kitchen still delivered. I ordered the classic breakfast--crispy bacon, perfectly done eggs, golden hashbrowns with just the right crunch, and an English muffin. Everything tasted fresh, familiar, and comforting. My friend had the biscuits and gravy with meat, and it was exactly what you want on a chilly Washington morning: hearty, flavorful, and seriously satisfying. Service was friendly, but with the holiday rush it was definitely a bit chaotic. We had to track someone down for coffee refills, which wasn't a huge deal but worth noting. Aside from that, the overall experience was great. If you're craving solid comfort food and a welcoming, down-to-earth vibe, Mariner Café is an easy recommendation--especially on cold days when you just want something warm and delicious. A few things to correct your comments: - there were three tables were seated following me and they all got the dishes before me. One table with couple, one with four people and one at the counter. - the note I put on was not to the waitress blunt to you. I said specifically " lady with black shirt". Your tone made me felt that I shouldn't check what is my order status after 30mins wait. We came in around 9:30am Saturday and ordered traditional breakfast with French toast. Waited over 30mins, the later customers all got their dishes and next table finished theirs. When the waitress was checking with kitchen for us, a lady with black shirt came and said: "it normal wait for 30mins and you are 25mins now, still five mins to go". I am a bigger supporter of local small business, but I would appreciate if they can let me know when we arrived that waiting is 30mins after ordered. I still gave 15% tips as I can see the sorry face from the waitress - I normally pay min 20% for small business. I also noticed that we were the only Asian table during that period.

If you're reviewing this restaurant, you need to understand this is a reestablished restaurant which was originally the Paradise Restaurant and shut down in November 2024 when the original owners retired (after 35 years of service) and then reopened in February 2025. Any reviews that date November 2024 and further do not apply to this restaurant. You need to understand the restaurant's new co-owners are also the cooks. On Yelp, they describe the restaurant as, "Classic American Cuisine. Breakfast served all day. Seafood and great comfort food." This restaurant does just that - with an extensive menu as well as daily specials. Today, a year and half after they reestablished the restaurant, we had the opportunity to try their food. A little background - while we're extreme out-of-towners, who live over 2600 miles away, we have visited Sequim 6 times in the last 5 years. We've visited in each season and simply love this town! Today, taking advantage of their daily specials, I ordered their Sourdough Burger and had Clam Chowder for my side. My wife ordered Liver and Onions (a rare treat for her) and I stole her Sweet Potato Fries (an extra $3). We also both ordered Lavender Lemonades and shared a slice of Lemon Merengue Pie. The Sourdough Burger was delicious and great! The Clam Chowder ok (I've had better, but it was still ok). My wife liked her Liver and Onions (as I mentioned, a rare treat for her). The Sweet Potato Fries were fried just right, plentiful and worth the extra $3! The Lavender Lemonades were really nice. I found it a little on the sweet/syrupy side, so I simply kept adding water until I was satisfied. The Lemon Merengue Pie, in my opinion, was not so great. Not sure why - maybe because my grandmother made one that was simply to-die-for and this couldn't compete? I do understand all the deserts are made in-house - maybe other deserts would be better. Leaves me curious. The servings were generous and plentiful (in fact, some four hours later, while I write this review, I'm still very full)! Did the restaurant serve "great comfort food" as advertised? In my opinion, indeed they did! Would I return for another meal? Yes - their food is good and their menu has enough diversity to eat something different for five days or more! Would I recommend this restaurant to someone else? Absolutely - local folks or visitors! Our bill was a little over $52. If we skipped the pie, we could've dined for under $45 - delicious bargain! Bonus: they played 70's music and wife enjoyed - there, I hit "ambiance" :)
