Visiting the Olympic National Park area my husband and I stayed in the Sequim area. Our first morning there we decided to try this place for breakfast. We loved their fluffy and tasty omelettes and just couldn't get over how delicious their buttermilk pancakes were. We loved this place so much we went back the next day! I absolutely loved this place. My aunt and uncle brought me here for omelettes and pancakes. The Mexican omelette was fabulous and had ham, different peppers, cheddar cheese and was covered with a sour cream sauce and diced tomatoes. The thing that makes these omelettes stand out from all others is how fluffy and raised they are. It's almost a French souffle. It was accompanied by 3 good sized fluffy pancakes with delicious whipped butter and warmed syrup. It's not cheap to eat here ($54 + tip) but the food is so good I can see why this place is consistently packed. read more

Delicious. I planned my day around having breakfast here on my trip from Seattle after seeing the reviews here on yelp and I'm glad that I did. I got the eggs benedict (comes with only one) and upgraded to have 2 eggs for 50 cents - this is a lot of food but you will be glad when your table mates try to steal bites. I wish this came with bacon but stole some from my breakfast partner (ha, it works both ways), so all was good in the pork universe. The meal came with potato pancakes, which I was excited about, but disappointed me because I thought they would be more like potato latkes than actual pancakes with potato pieces in it. Service was warm - good banter, and free 49er pancake to let us know what we were missing (no one ordered pancakes). To top it off, I kid you not, Santa was eating there - he gave stickers to all the kids in the dining room. No better endorsement than Santa! I have to amend my review. Went there for my birthday in March. While Oak Table is still one of my favorite places to eat, I was disappointed in the Klondike pancakes. I read they were fantastic so that's what I ordered & they really were nothing special. To top that off, our 3-yr-old granddaughter was with us. We don't order her a meal yet because she grazes all day. We give her bites off our plates. The waitress said she would bring her a 'fruit plate'. We thought HOW NICE! Well, we were charged $5 for that fruit plate. I think people should be told this up front. We are seniors & were there for a special occasion with a gift certificate. Husband doesn't want to go back. We went over our gift certificate. He feels it's too expensive. So no more Oak Table unless I go with a friend. :( read more

This is a home-style restaurant in Sequim, and while they have a full menu, they really seem to specialize in their breakfast foods. My visit was mid-afternoon, and I opted for the quiche, which was offered as a special that day. This was one of the single largest pieces of quiche I've ever been served. It was absolutely delicious, and more than enough to share. Also tried their iced tea, and found it good (unsweetened, as is typical for the Northwest). I go to Sequim frequently because I have family in the area. I was here over the weekend for my little sister's high school graduation, and she wanted to go to the Oak Table for lunch. I was down to try it since normally we eat at Gwennies, which is so-so usually. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, which was really well made. Eggs were poached perfectly medium, as I requested. The hollandaise was delish, although I prefer a little more sauce than they provided. My only complaint was that the potato pancakes that were served along with it were more batter than potato, and also really itty bitty. My sis ordered the strawberry crepes, and they were also very good. Soft, doughy crepes stuffed with fresh strawberries and dusted with sugar. Yum! The service was outstanding. I didn't have to ask for a thing, our server was completely on top of it. The only thing really I didn't like about this restaurant was their pricing. My breakfast was somewhere around 12.50, and the a la carte crepes were ten bucks. I think this is probably due to the fact that there is little to no competition for restaurants in Sequim so they can pretty much charge what they want. This is truly a place worth trying. The food quality is amazing, the variety is great, and the people working at the restaurant are very very nice! The overall experience is right in every way. I came here 2 times back to back. I am a vegetarian but my boyfriend is not. I loved the strawberry crepe without powdered sugar but added a side of butter, and buttermilk pancakes. The side of butter was seriously mouth watering! The breakfast style potatoes were average. My boyfriend ordered the Greek pita and Mexican omelette. Taking bunch of my family visiting from California to the Olympic Game Farm, looked up Yelp for a place to eat afterward and decided to try Oak Table Cafe. We, party of 8, got there on a Saturday around 2pm and we were seated within minutes. Our waiter was wonderful, friendly and took his time to explain the menu to us. I asked about the apple pancake and he immediately put in that order for us since apple pancake takes longer to bake. Everything we ordered was so yummy and the portions were big, corned beef hash, strawberry blintz, french toasts, and the apple pancake was to die for! The place made quite an impression on all of us. The food was so much better than the food we had at the Sky City Restaurant (top of Space Needle) just a day before. Found this little gem using Yelp and boy, was it a find! Quaint, nice atmosphere with very friendly service. Hubby and I split the famous apple pancake, which is more of a soufflé, with a side of bacon. It's one of the most memorable breakfasts I've ever had! Delicious and unique----but "split-worthy" for sure. My daughter had waffles with fresh strawberries and ice cream! My son had pigs in a blanket which he said were really good. The food here is very plentiful and very good. I ordered the chocolate chip buttermilk pancakes, light on the chocolate chips. The order came with six pancakes which were about 6" wide. The amount of chocolate chips was just right (I don't like to have too many). However, it was simply too much for me to eat. The corned beef hash was very good, as were the scrambled eggs. The hostess seated us within a couple of minutes of our arrival. She also took our drink orders and brought them over right away. Our waitress was nice, and came by a few times to refill coffees and water. She came by to take our orders and again once after our breakfasts were delivered (to make sure everything was okay). The oft-mentioned-by-Yelpers "dangerous step" in the restaurant was pointed out by both our waitress and the hostess when we were both arriving to and leaving the dining area. If you have a group of several people who are going to be paying it separately, it is better to ask for separate checks. When we got our bill, it was written in the restaurant's kitchen code (no complete words at all), so it was difficult to tell how much each person owed. Furthermore, the prices were listed in a long line on the right-hand side of the bill, but did not line up with the items on the left, and the exact amount of tax was not written down; if we wanted to know how much the tax was, we would have had to add up the total of all the items and subtracted the grand total. This wasn't really a big deal, though, as we figured it out and payed the correct amount. Had we known, we definitely would have ordered separate checks. Overall, this was an extremely satisfactory meal, although a little bit more expensive than what we are used to paying for a simple breakfast. read more

Wow! I can't even begin to imagine a more perfect breakfast spot. It has the best combination of food, service, and ambience. The coffee was great, the waitress was friendly, and the food was delicious. The menu was varied and offered an above average selection - more interesting than your standard eggs and pancakes. Their omelettes were made in the French style, and were baked. I had the Swiss and Bacon one and it was incredible. Their pancakes were light and fluffy, and their ingredients were all top notch. On top of al that the portions are huge! The omelette, which comes with three of their delicious buttermilk pancakes, could easily be split. We went at around 10:30am on a Saturday morning and the wait was only 15 minutes for a party of four. The service was attentive and personal, and the restaurants decor was also lovely, featuring interesting knickknacks and memorabilia.
