This place is amazing! My family is from Sicily and they have not been able to find any good bakeries in Arizona. My mother was like a kid in a candy store. She said it reminded her of the bakeries in Sicily. The cream used in the desserts was so smooth and just the right sweetness. O. M. G. Seriously the best cannoli I've ever had. Makes my Italian heart melt. And they have a couple of gluten free cookies for my little, which is just too awesome. I got the lemon filling and it is refreshing and not too sweet. My husband got the coffee and loved it. The shells are crispy without being crunchy, which is a big thing in my world. Every year for Mother's Day we order the sicilian rum cake plus other pasteries. The rum cake is the only type of cake my mom likes and good ones are hard to find. This was the first year that it had no rum taste whatsoever. It could have been any type of cake as far as we were concerned. I called and spoke to a manager to explain what happened. He said he would get back to me but never did. I gave them an opportunity to make it right. For $50, we will not be using this bakery again. What a shame. One of the best gems I've ever come across .because it's all fresh I recommend getting extra sauce any sauce with pasta on the side .you will be blown away that you can get food this good almost in the middle of nowhere . Amazing Cannoli! I was never a big fan of them, they are usually too dense for me and I fill up too quick, but this place gives you the option to customize the size, fillings and extras for the cannoli. The other desserts were super too, they were very friendly and accommodating- we asked if they had tiramisu, and they said they had them in the restaurant next store but would be happy to get one for us. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. There was one girl working, it take forever to take our order, another family came and she took their order first. Also the same person taking orders will make the coffee, so it took us 20 minutes to get 2 coffees and few cookies. I didn't even bother ordering from their build your own Cannoli, because it would've take another 20 minutes. The cookies were OK, nothing special. Third time is a charm. I wrote two previous reviews, one for Scottsdale and one for Chandler, either of which were complimentary. Chef Joey Maggiore sent me a gift card to try it again. Today I had lunch at Chandler and it was good. We had the Sicilian Board and the new item shrimp and scallops with pasta and the cassata cake for dessert. All very good. After dining at the Sicilian Butcher (delicious!) we visited the Sicilian Baker and I could not believe my eyes. I saw my mother's pastries from my Italian New York childhood. This place is the best! They have amazing desserts, a delicious build your own cannoli bar, and beautiful cookies that my kids love. My favorite is the specialty coffee and espresso bar. There are so many options in the cases that I have had to return several times to figure out my go to dessert. The cannoli bar is fun and they let you have samples of the different creams that you can fill your shell with. You can tell that the fillings are made with quality and there is a range of flavors. The lemon is super refreshing, but if you prefer for more chocolate (like I do) I haven't found my favorite, yet. I tried the dark chocolate cream and it was delicious but I was hoping it would have more chocolate flavor as it was on the tame side. When it comes to service I have had hit or miss encounters. Some of the women who have helped me have really gone above and beyond while I can recall times when I wasn't even asked if I wanted toppings on my cannoli. This is the first bakery of its kind that I have been to and I will definitely be back. read more
