The Stand has expanded over the years and the quality has remained. The offer everything from Hot Dogs to Hamburgers with milk shakes and other deserts. Lately when I order take out the food is cold. I usually dine in but past 2 times I've ordered take out for the Fire fries with the fire sauce. The first time they gave me sauce in the side & seemed they also poured alittle on top & the fries were cold. This time I did take out I also made sure to call them & let them know the problem I had last time with them not tossing the fries in the sauce & being cold. The lady said she will let them know right now. I get the fries & same thing. They were also well done which I never asked for. It's like they want me to say forget it & never come back. Hey this place was a great find. We were in the neighborhood and saw it off in the distance and decided to give it a go. The portions are large - great for sharing - massive and super fresh salads, and great sandwiches, burgers and wraps. The beer is ice cold and everything is well priced for what you get. Went here for lunch. The food and service were both good. The person who took my order recommended the tuna salad and I went for it but the tune was not very fresh and it even was a bit frozen in the center. Other's in our group ordered burgers and different salads and they all looked and tasted very good. I'd go there again but probably won't order the tuna salad. read more

Fresh hot juicy. So many options to choose from. Half of us chose ABC avocado bacon cheese. I added crispy onions which made mine the best. The other half got a pastrami and sauerkraut burger. All plates we cleaned! Fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings. All delish! Had a beer. They also have the soda machine u can make anything. Watched the game on the big screens. Place was CLEAN. Yelp Challenge 2016: 97/116. My immediate first, second AND third impression is that they have fantastic customer service at this location near CSUN and the Northridge Mall. Super-friendly staff will answer questions about the food and speak enthusiastically about their beers and even come by to check on you. My first visit was around the time they opened and it was really noisy and crowded as heck. Katia assisted me with joining their free Stand Card Club. The Club entities you to 5% off your food, special pricing on beers/wines, coupons and other specials. They had a special lamb burger which came with feta cheese so I ordered that and onion rings with a Sprecher cream soda. Very yummy, my burger, done the way I like it- medium rare. The rings were a bit oily for my liking but I drowned them with a ketchup-Sriracha mixture anyway. The cream soda was good and a brand I hadn't tried before. I guess due to the big crowd that night there was NO CUSTARD...and I was seriously bummed. On my second visit I tried another special, the Cubano sandwich with sweet potato fries and their apple cobbler with custard. All very satisfying and tasty. On my third visit, my server was William...what a cool guy. I decided on a burger from their regular menu and he suggested the Chimmy. It's loaded with chimichurri sauce and their Chimmy Slaw. Amazing and so juicy that you will need at least three napkins. William came over to my table to see if I liked my burger and we talked about the rest of the menu. Now I know what to order for the next few visits. There are some quirks: 1) They are only open until 9pm- I'm assuming because there are apartments directly above them, 2) You have to open your own twist top soda (or use the opener by the register), 3) Napkins are delivered WITH your meal (there aren't any I could find anywhere else), and 4) That loud banging sound -alarming at first- is kids playing at the air hockey table. The Stand brand produces a fine burger, has a friendly and enthusiastic staff and a roomy industrial decor with indoor outdoor seating. They are located in the Collection, next to the Northridge Mall on the Plummer Street side. There's parking in the shared lot. read more

I understand it's burgers and fries, but the onion rings were abnormally oily for what they were. Overall, I'd be willing to give it a second shot as maybe I just ordered wrong, but I wouldn't try it again soon as it was expensive for what it was. 2 meals for $45 bucks. I've only ever experienced quality service and food when coming here. Big burgers full of juicy flavor, and great sides. My favorite side is the asada fries (substitute sweet potato fries) they're quite an experience. I actually didn't like sweet potato fries til I tried them from here, would recommend the visit. we tried delivery first and loved the food-so we decided to try a dining out experience. I was very impressed by our server Dillon. My husband and I have not ventured out very much, being nervous because of Covid. I called beforehand spoke with Dillon. He was quite gracious on the phone and assured me that they are taking every precaution necessary to make the dining out experience safe and enjoyable. Although no reservations were required he took our name and said he would seat us at a great table. He kept his word and went out of his way for us. We ordered and I asked for some suggestions which he gave that were right on target. The food was brought on time and delicious. He even wiped down the table before the food came even though it was clean. He wanted us to feel safe. This is a unique person to be sure and the combination of the food being great AND the server being incredible made our day!! My husband had the Stand burger and I had the Blu burger. We also had onion rings and sweet potato fries but I was too busy eating to take any really good pictures. Only took a few shots of the leftovers - LOL be warned !! For two people , you will have a great meal the next day. I would suggest placing the fries and the onion rings into a toaster oven to reheat as the microwave tends to make leftovers soggy. The burger taste great reheated in the microwave for a minute. Best leftovers ever!!! An added plus to dining out at there is that you are sitting under an overhang awning so it's a perfect place to meet. If you're young and on a date it would be a wonderful choice. read more
