Came back after about a year again to give it another shot after receiving a message from the owner telling me they'll look into the issues I had mentioned in my review. Same story. No changes. I can't consume pork and so I don't order items that have pork in them, and yet I get bacon bits in my food. This is definitely the last I eat at this place. New chain restaurant that just opened up in Valencia! I've been kind of wary of these types of food establishments. But man, I remember having this years ago in Pasadena. It was good then, but I had a nut allergy/contamination for some reason in the food I ordered. Didn't have that issue this time around!!! Service is pretty good for the most part. They go out of their way to ask if you need anything after giving you your order (hope this doesn't change! I know it's opening weekend). They also gave free soft serve samples which were amazing. Front gal taking our order though forgot to give me my drink cup. But hey not bad. We got the current specials!! This place is over priced. I was expecting a larger bacon chili cheeseburger for $14 and more fries for $4. I forgot the cheeseburger had chili until I was about half way done and I bit into some chili. There was probably one tablespoon of it. That's a little stingy since it should be falling out of the cheeseburger. The fries were a little stale and burger was below average. There are better options close by to get more and better food for less than The Stand. I placed the order and it was already waiting when I arrived. At least I can say I tried it once. Another great fast-casual restaurant in SCV. Burgers are always great, they are grilled to perfection. Fries are splendid too and those milkshakes always hit. Super fresh ingredients and I love those free pickles and chips that they give out. Staff is super friendly and very patient. We are big fans of The Stand-Pasadena.. we were excited to see there's one in Santa Clarita! I got the Cobb salad which I would get at the other location all the time.. a decent amount of the lettuce looked old and wilted but when they came to check on us and we told them they were so quick to fix the problem. Costumer service really makes or breaks a business for me... the other ingredients in the salad were delicious..their bleu cheese hits different. I've also had their Buffalo chicken sandwich and their fries...no complaints there! Also... their beer selection!!!!! I was so happy to see Tarantula Hill, Pizza Port, among other great breweries on tap here!!!! Definitely our go to spot.. Wondering why they don't give you pickles like they did at their other location but everything else was 5 stars for me! read more

Really wanted to like this place but unfortunately the flavors were not it . I ordered a small Chili cheese fries and the Ultimate egg .... The chili cheese fries had just a tab of chili and the cheese was not melted and it was not flavorful at all Next thing is the burger it was an ok burger nothing special about it just needed some flavor again , seems like the place doesn't have enough flavor to bring out the food alive which is very disappointing because that's most important part The only good thing about my experience was the BEER they have a good small selection of beer The inside is very clean and also have outdoor seating as well The staff is very friendly and very helpful so That's a plus I will come back to try other stuff but hopefully they add more kick to their food game and bring out the flavors read more

My family and I came to The Stand for lunch on the weekend. The place is clean and nice on the inside. There was no line, we just walked right up to the counter. We ordered the vegan falafel wrap with onion rings, the Southwest chicken wrap with mac and cheese, a kids' cheeseburger with fries, and the kids' hot dog with chips. Our total with two fountain drinks was $56.47 and it took maybe 20 minutes for our food to be brought to us. My wife was the happiest of the group. She liked both the falafel wrap and the onion rings; she said the falafel was well-seasoned but not overly spiced, and the wheat tortilla was good. She did wish the wrap came with a side as opposed to having to be ordered separately. They cut the wraps in half which was helpful as she couldn't finish it and brought the second half home. My wrap was okay but a bit messy and I wished the chicken was warmer. Basically I should've just ordered the Southwest chicken sandwich instead. The corkscrew mac and cheese with breadcrumb topping was good though, as was the blueberry lemonade. My wife found the lemonade too tart but I liked it. Unless you have a very young child, the kids' cheeseburger is too small. My son said it was tasty but not really enough food for him. The offering of fries wasn't exactly generous either (see photo; I believe I count 16 or 17 fries). The kids' hot dog comes with an awful lot of bun in relation to the meat (you actually can't see any meat in the photo; it just looks like a large puffy hunk of bread). At a certain point my son ended up ditching the bun and just eating the dog alone. All in all things were pretty good though, and I would return for another visit. The more I think about it though, the more I think we might be better served to come without the kids next time. read more

This was my fist trip to the stand and it was great! I ended up getting the chicken wrap, slaw and side of fries. All the ingredients tastes fresh, portion sizes are good...the stand slaw is small and enough for one person if you get the small size in case you're wondering. I like the fact that you can basically customize your food to how you want it. Next time I'll try a burger and one of their salads. Which means, yes I will come back! read more

I just had the most amazingly good cheeseburger!! The meat was crispy on the outside and still juicy on the inside. They have an amazingly good selection of toppings. Have gone to the new Stand in Valencia a few times and also have been going to the one in Encino for years, and always loved it. However, this past Saturday night, it was a complete disappointment. The Southwest Chicken Salad had mostly lettuce, and hardly anything of the other ingredients that come with this salad. The burger and wraps where so so, and the onion rings which we love every time, arrived over fried and full of oil, besides all the food arriving cold. I was happy when they first opened in Santa Clarita, but based on our last experience are not ready to go back anytime soon. The place in general was minimally cleaned. I understand they are busy on a weekend night, but it was late in the evening and the place needed cleaning, specially the floors. read more

But I ate it and it didn't take away for how good the sandwich was. The French fries were great. The restaurant is all modern, like any place these days. Big screens for the menus etc. lots of outdoor seating. Probably gets loud when it's busy. Service was fine, food came fast. Beer on tap, had the stand blonde, it was great. Went in a Friday around 530 and it was pretty busy. The cashier let us know it would be 20 min for food to make sure we didn't mind the wait. Ordered a 2 kids meals, a salad and a shake to go so we could eat at the park. They let me know the shake would be called out prior to the food and just to wait for it. Since I was a party of 5- myself and 4 kids, one of which was an infant sleeping in my arms. There was no seating or standing room inside so we sat outside where it was relatively empty because of the cold, but the overhead heaters were on. I went back in at 20 min to ask if the food was ready. Was told no. Asked about the shake and they said it wasn't ready either and it would be called out when it was. I mentioned I was sitting outside so I couldn't hear, but the manager just brushed that off. I went back in about 3 more times (still holding the sleeping infant) after that, trying to ask if the food was ready but no one paid attention. Finally 45 min after, I was a little more vocal about the whereabouts of the food and was told the shake was waiting in the freezer for me; having been made 45 min ago and my order was almost ready. Now; I have worked in food service and I get that when you are understaffed and slammed things get delayed. That's cool, the way of the business. I'm not giving one star because of that. I am giving one star because of how the delay of food was handled. Besides addressing and brushing off my questioning the first time; the manager pointedly ignored me every other time I came in to check; while literally comping someone else who claimed they had been waiting 40 min right in front of me. I wasn't even asking for a comp, just for someone to let me know where my food was, but apparently my presence wasn't worth the attention. Poor handling of a busy night. The food was okay. We finally got the food about 50 min after ordering and at that point I'm pretty sure the kids were hungry enough to eat cardboard soooo, not sure I can rate the quality of the food fairly, especially since the shake had been sitting in the freezer for a while and wasn't fresh. read more
