Finally tried The Stand. Place is very large, very clean and has indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the the Stand Burger w/ pepper Jack cheese, my wife ordered the tuna melt. We got a side of fries and onion rings, we got regular size and they were plenty large enough for us to share. My burger was fantastic, came shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles and Stand sauce, good old fashioned cheese burger. My wife's tuna melt came on a pretzel bun w/ cheddar cheese (1 of several cheese choices available). The fries are "skin on", fried to perfection and lightly salted. The onion rings were large rings, batter dipped and fried to crispy goodness. There are many sauce choices, we got the fire, ranch and chili sauce, great for dipping. They have self serve soda fountain and many shakes to choose from, we'll try one next time as our kids said they are fantastic. Also... "pickles", they have their own sliced, dill pickle slices that are free for the asking and are a nice accompaniment to the sandwiches. We'll be back again. read more

This place gets 3 stars! The atmosphere is clean and aesthetic with marble counters and plenty of space. A couple TVs to watch the games too. The service was very friendly! The staff was not aware that the yelp event was free and tried to charge us for the meal, but the manager was called over to help enter the discount in the system - kudos to that guy! The food was average in my opinion, nothing to write home about, but not much to complain about. The ABC burger was underwhelming and the brisket grilled cheese was pretty soggy. The salads looked better than the sandwiches. Overall, the atmosphere and large menu is a bright spot for this restaurant, I would come back but I would try something different. Holy crap I loved the food I ate so fast that my stomach hurts but not because of the food, just because of the sheer SPEED at which I ate the food. Also can we talk about how good the service was?! Let me tell you... I will be coming back here wayyy more often! I've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally I did and I'm so glad I did! Their burgers, fries, milkshakes, and even salads are all amazing!!! Their burgers, for me, tasted similar to Johnny Rockets and that is my #1 favorite burger place! I was heartbroken when they closed down here but now I know I can visit The Stand! Their chocolate milkshake was probably the Best milkshake I've ever had in my life! Been there 4 times 2 out of the 4 there has been bacon bits in my french onion burger, I can not consume bacon for personal reasons and I assumed that when I order a sandwich that does't mention bacon in the description then I was ok, but nope apparently there is a 50% chance you'll get a piece of bacon on your bacon free order. There is obviously a problem with cross contamination and I can NEVER trust them to prepare a meal for me ever again! The staff were helpful though. Do better! read more

Service was great, very friendly staff. Environment felt clean and inviting. Ordered the ABC hamburger and French onion soup burger with fries we got to choose our sauce for the fries. We chose the ranch which was surprisingly delicious. The burgersl were very tasty, however, there was no sauce on the ABC burger and half of the avocado slices were rock hard. The French onion soup was very flavorful especially with the dipping sauce. We would put this on our top 10 list of a tasty burger in SCV. read more

We stopped in for lunch and overall had a very good experience. They hadn't been open long so I expected a few hiccups but we didn't seem to have any. The menu was extensive with all sorts of items. We got the falafel wrap, a chili dog, kids cheese burgers, and a side of the fire fries. Overall everything was very good, especially the pickles and ice cream samples they were passing out. The service was really good and fast, the lady who served us when we when was super sweet and gave lots of good suggestions. The restaurant itself had indoor and outdoor seating, we choose to sit inside and it was very nice and quiet on the day we went. However the place was also very clean and had lots of seating. My boyfriend and I got milkshakes and they were both delicious! I highly recommend the toasted s'mores milkshake for they genuinely captured the toasted taste of a s'mores. I would also suggest the wrap that I got I forgot the name but I'm pretty sure it's the southwest chicken wrap and it was really good. My wife and I have become semi regulars here and it's been a great experience every time. The menu is quite extensive and we've yet to be disappointed with any of the sandwiches or salads. Do yourself a favor and try the short rib grilled cheese or French onion soup burger. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I heard about their French Onion Soup Burger and it did not disappoint. If you like French Onion Soup and burgers, this is for you. It was messy but worth it. The menu isn't huge but it should have something for the majority of diners. This isn't a low cost place but I have paid much more for the same quality of burgers. The staff were nice but not quick. My brother and I disagreed about whether or not some of our food sat waiting for other items to come out. He didn't find his food to be as hot as he would like. My food was hot when I started eating. i wanted to catch up and grab dinner with my friends, emily and maya. maya suggested that we go to the stand! i asked where it was, and she said it was at the mall. for some reason, i thought that the stand was the same as slaters-- another American-style restaurant with a black and white theme, that also happens to be at the mall. when i arrived at the mall, i was on the opposite side, driving around the slater's area. when i realized that they were indeed different restaurants, i wasted a good ten minutes driving around that same small area, searching for it. i finally gave in , and put the stand on my GPS. i rushed over to the other side of the mall, parked, poorly, and ran inside. i was greeted by the two and we started ordering. the ordering process went smoothly. when ordering the stand burger, i had the option of buying cheese (the price for the extra cheese wasn't bad, but i personally get really annoyed when i have to spend extra money on it. it should be a staple ingredient. but i am just be picky). i also had the option of picking how my burger would be cooked. emily also had the option of getting a gluten-free bun, something that was graciously offered to her, as long as she clarified that it was for an allergy. after ordering, we were given numbers that we took to our tables. the food would then be served to us. the food was served to us all at once. we dug in. i devoured my burger. it was bussin. i loved it so much. we talked and caught up on tea. it was a pretty intense gossiping session. super fun. maya ended up ordering fries to share amongst the group. the fries were alright. they were alright. they were just a little mushy. we didn't end up finishing the fries the place itself was pretty nice. it was clean. it reminded me a lot of the interior of hook burger. the colors and branding were obviously different, but the format resemblance was uncanny, in my opinion. shoutout to the awesome person who took our orders. she was super kind and made sure to give everyone a compliment. i really appreciated her customer service, and i hope that life treats her well :) read more

I ordered through the app for pickup, came about 10 minutes earlier then the pickup time and the food was already ready. When I got home not only was the food borderline cold, I was missing both the sauces I had ordered, my side of pickles, and my side of onions (it was all on the receipt) Unfortunately due to the fact I'm moving cross country in 3 days, I had already thrown all my own condiments out, so had to make due without.
