I think the burgers are really good as well as the southwest chicken wrap. The staff is pretty friendly. Minus 1 star though because their fries usually taste old and never come to you hot. I don't think they are served fresh because this last time I asked for no salt in my fries, they said the fries are "pre salted." So I think that confirms that the fries aren't made to order. Also would not recommend the crispy chicken bites. Pretty sure they buy them from the store frozen. :/ but I think their other stuff is good. read more

What a treat! Just got in from out of town and we wanted to grab something delicious. My boyfriend is a fan of the one in Woodlands Hills and was happy to hear one opened up in the SCV. We haven't been to this location but the reputation of great burgers is already set. We had the Onion soup burger and the Big blue burger. I ordered a side of fire fries. And there is only one description for them. "Fire" I thought they were finger liking good but I like spicy. My boyfriend said they were a little hot for him so beware. The French onion soup burger has some crispy onions with a side of a jus. Dipping it in and taking a bite is an explosion of delicious flavors. It mades us say "the juice is good, we like the juice " (SNL reference) . The big blue burger was splendid in its own way. Had bacon and grilled onions just soaking up into the bun. Im sorry for not sharing any pictures of our meal but we were so hungry It slipped my mine. But I guarantee it won't be the last time. I've downloaded the app and will be eating here to try other menu items. Last but not least we had a stout with our burgers, its pretty difficult to find a stout in SCV but the stand will quench that thirst along with all there other beers on tap. Thank you The Stand. I came in with high hopes based on reviews and reading the menu. The atmosphere is nice and they are doing a much better business than when Lyfe kitchen was in the same spot. Reading the menu I had a hard time deciding as everything on paper sounded great. We settled on 2 of the French onion soup burgers, 1 chicken club sandwich, 1 short rib grilled cheese, a small order of fries, an order of chili cheese fries and 4 sodas. Price after tax and a modest tip was $90. That hurt a little. The onion burgers were smaller than expected, weren't really seasoned, and way over cooked. The meat was like sawdust on a bun. Very disappointed. The short rib grilled cheese was meh. My daughter said the club was ok. They have little containers of pickles that were outstanding and every employee we came in contact with were great. They do fund raising for local schools which is admirable and not people seem to be enjoying themselves but the tables around us were also saying the food wasn't as good as they'd hoped. I always wanted to try the place as I used to live by one in woodland hills but based on the price and taste of what we got, I will probably try my hand else next time. read more

First time at The Stand today. Wow! Was it delicious! I had the BBQ Brisket Sandwich and fries. My hun had the same except he had chili cheese fries. The sandwich came on a pretzel bun and it was really good. We are definitely going to return here great food, pretty simple menu Burgers Sandwiches Hotdogs Wraps and Salads and sides. We have been going to The Stand in Encino for years so we are so thrilled to have one in our new hometown. The food is so good . We highly recommend the Lemon Pepper Brussels sprouts , the ABC burger and the short Rib Grilled cheese . Everything was so tasty , very well made and the ingredients were fresh . The Stand is very clean and the staff and service is the best ! Now having said that , I fully support new businesses coming to Valencia . I hate to see failed businesses and hate to see negative reviews for places that are just opening. People are critiquing the slightest of instances and yet complain that Valencia has no good places to eat . read more

Wow. The Stand is LEGIT!! We love trying new places and this place did NOT disappoint! My family had the Stand burgers, the Egg Burger, the Brisket Grilled Cheese, French fries, onion rings and chips and guacamole and all were OUTSTANDING. We all raved and tried each other's food. The chips were fresh homemade and the guacamole was so fresh and tasty!! The parmesean bread and the brisket were fantastic and not drenched in cheese. Highly recommend. And it is awesome that they feature craft brews! They have a brand new app that you can use to easily order from and accumulate points from for upgrades. We will definitely be back. Very good, sizable burgers. The seating is fast-food style, a bit stark considering the food quality and prices. They do deliver your order to your table, and they don't expect you to bus your table. They seem adequately staffed to keep the tables cleared and cleaned. This experience is mainly based off of the service and server who took my order. The server's name is Kailanee and she provided customer service I have rarely experienced or provided myself while working in the industry. She took my order, provided recommendations, easily accommodated my modifications to my order, and made it a speedy transaction. The piece that stood out to me was how she noticed my Star Wars hoodie when she completed my order, she proceeded to ask if I would like a sticker. At first I thought it was a promotion done by The Stand but in fact it was a personal act she was offering to celebrate the unofficial Star Wars holiday. She brought over a small batch of stickers for me to choose from at my table and I graciously accepted one. This small act of kindness and generosity blew me away more than the food. I cannot believe Kailanee would do something so nice and humble for her customers like that. I believe she needs to be recognized and applauded for making this one customer feel so much better and have a restoration in the good faith of others after she shared a small, yet resounding gift. I remember when the Stand opened in Century City when I lived in the city and it was a solid meal for the price. As they opened new locations, I went to the one in Calabasas a couple times and was excited they opened a new location in Valencia. What a bummer when I had the brisket sandwich, and it was really sad. Then I saw my wife got a salad and it was twice 3-4 times the amount of food. My sandwich barely had a couple small pieces of brisket and half of it was just pure fat. I ended up having to order a second lunch. The upside was the pretzel bun was good. For the price and quality of the meat.... guh. You should feel bad about yourselves. read more
