After reading numerous reviews, I had really high expectation for this place. We arrived about an hour after open and we're seated immediately. First, we ordered the mussels. They weren't bad but nothing great. For our meals, my husband and I both ordered the ribeye. The steaks were cooked perfectly and had a nice char but there wasn't much seasoning/ flavor. Both steaks came with 2 sides and cost approximately $41 (market value). Overall, the meal was average. Nothing great but wasn't bad

Had a lovely visit with friends on Saturday Evening here, the wait was about 1 hour for our party of 5 to be seated, no reservations taken. They had picnic benches with some life-sized games covered in shade for parties waiting to be seated. They also have a bar inside that you can purchase drinks from while you are waiting. Our server Ben was very attentive and friendly. A bunch of us ordered the 7oz Petite Filet Mignon which came with two sides. I got a side salad and rice pilaf. My steak which I ordered to be medium rare was cooked more on the medium side but the meat was still very tender and flavorful. The building is historic and quite big, with several floors for seating, we were seated at the top floor which you can catch a glimpse of the water from there. Given the age of the building, the different floor levels appear to be primarily accessible by the stairs with the restrooms on the bottom floor.

I was so impressed with this place! The only thing that is touch is they don't take reservations so you have to go put your name in but they have lots of spots to sit while you wait for your table. We went around 7pm on a Saturday in the winter and we only had to wait around 25mins. We got seated and our server was great! She was quick and friendly. We got an app and it came out really fast. I thought the prices were great for the amazing food. I got the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly. All the food was so great! I'll be back even if I have to wait a while to get in!

We had a great meal here. The only thing that could have made it better was if it wasnt pouring and we could have tailgated in the parking lot while we waited!they are a well oiled machine here with lots of areas to sit while you wait to be seated. We got there at 5:10 and waited 30 mins for a table. We had a drink and met some new people. The food was really good and very inexpensive. The steak with the surf and turf is fillet tips. They were very good. Tonights vegetable was butternut squash. It was really good as was the baked beans. A fun experience which reminded me of the old Hilltop steakhouse in boston.

Truly the most amazing experience and best service ! Ben our server went above and beyond and gave us the best experience! The food was delicious and Ben made sure that we were happy with absolutely everything. The long line at opening was worth the wait ! We will be coming back everytime we're in town :)

Despite it taking time to be acknowledged at our table we had a fantastic time! Food was delicious as always. It is Simplistic which is what I appreciate. You don't have to do anything crazy with steak, keep it simple and let the cut of meat shine! Due to it being spring it was busy but not the usual crazy busy with allowed us to appreciate the dinner more. I loved that we were sat upstairs it is just so much nicer in my opinion. It is always nice to see some of the same faces, it truly speaks volumes for the restaurant to have repeat staff season after season!

Closed very early! The food was good, definitely one of the better restaurants in the area. It's kid friendly, that was also a plus.

The host did a great job seating us with our 18-month-old away from the busy areas and bigger groups, which we really appreciated. Our server was good, friendly, attentive, and great with our daughter. The empanadas and street corn were both really good. The steak, though, was a huge disappointment. We ordered the NY strip medium rare and it came out overcooked and really chewy. Last year I had the opposite problem, it was undercooked and had to be sent back. For what they charge for the food and drinks, I'd expect them to be able to cook a medium rare steak consistently without guessing. The steak also could've been trimmed a lot better. Overall, the service was great, but the steak has been inconsistent every time we've gone. At this price point, I don't see us coming back.

First things first - parking is super easy, it's a free valet service (not obvious at first, as there is parking behind the restaurant, but you're greeted right away when you pull in). We walked through the bar area, over to the restaurant area (surprisingly the bar was quite full), and were able to choose a table by one of the two fireplaces. On the restaurant side, it feels very cozy, and homey, exactly where you want to spend a cold night, inside eating dinner. Our server was lovely, greeted us right away and provided menus. I started with a cosmo (they had flavored versions like strawberry, but I elected to go for the classic). For an appetizer, we started with the bacon wrapped scallops - the bacon was maple glazed, and wonderfully crispy, with the scallops cooked perfectly, and some micro-greens scattered on the plate - delicious. For entrees, my mom had the baked seafood stuffed haddock which came with a lobster sherry cream sauce, a massive pile of perfectly cooked green beans, and mashed potatoes (yum). I went with the duck special, which was absolutely delightful. It came with Brussels sprouts, and I subbed out the au gratin (I very strongly dislike sweet potatoes), for mashed potatoes. It was delicious. We were so full, we opted for dessert to go (chocolate cake), which was generously portioned, and decadently delicious. We really enjoyed the meal - this was a wonderful dinner to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday!

The highlight for me is, without question, the two-foot lobster roll. It's huge, loaded with fresh lobster from end to end, and served on a perfectly soft sub roll. It's genuinely delicious, generously filled, and an incredible value for the amount of lobster you get. It's easily one of my favorite lobster rolls anywhere. I think they should have a few other American things on there besides broccoli and asparagus, carrots would be nice, maybe some stuffed mushrooms., street corn. The honey cheese we tried we tried the honey cheese was not that great. I do have to say probably the best thing is the pineapple.. there should be other options for salads. We have been to Brazilian restaurants down in Cape Cod with huge buffet salad bars with cheese all kinds of other options. Besides, just meet on a spit., it was mac & cheese.
