Carne asada taco, baja taco, and California burrito
Sara H.

Really good burritos and tacos! The California burrito was good, a lot of great flavors. Enjoy their salsa bar area, they have a few options. Their chips and guac are great, one of my favorite guacs! My only complaint is the music was extremely loud inside :)

Outdoor ambiance

Muy bueno Burritos, tacos and carne asada fries. All solid. Thanks for the great meal. Well b back

Water cups. Salsa/sauce station in front. So good

Amazing food. The sauces on the side are soo good and pair with the food very well. Very casual place. Best when eaten hot while sitting there. Fast service.

The Taco Stand never disappoints! Everything is fresh and full of flavor! Their California burrito is a must try! Don't pass on their mahi shrimp tacos and fish tacos! Service is always great! I always say that there is nothing sadder than going to a taco place and eating bad tacos, that has NEVER been the case at The Taco Stand! We always leave with a smile!

Okay - I have worked in an office across the street for a year and just tried this neighborhood gem today! Ordered two mushroom tacos and a churro to go. So hungry that I ate the tacos in house from my to go bag. Veggie and gluten free to boot! They have a serve yourself salsa bar and a soft drinks as well. Love the Cilantro Salsa and Pico De Gallo - so good! Oh, and the churros...so decadent! A must try! Don't miss this little casual spot...affordable and delish!

This place was great! Surprised it was a chain bc it all feels very homemade. I ordered the California burrito. Great value for the price! The steak was tender and the burrito was more than enough for lunch. I loved it! I especially enjoyed the cilantro salsa from the free salsa bar. There are a ton of flavors and spice levels to try. I sat outside and they have a convenient speaker system so you can hear your name called while you're out there. The cashier was kind and helpful in describing the menu. They will validate your parking for two hours in the garage right next to the restaurant. I will be back!

Stopped by a taco stand while visiting Dallas and it ended up being one of the highlights of the trip! I tried three different tacos and every single one was great--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly put together. The staff were also super friendly, which made the experience better. Highly recommend!

Compared to other taco spots in Dallas, I wouldn't say The Taco Stand is my favorite, but to be fair, I did go for the Carne Asada Burrito. The burrito was decent, though mine had a lot of beans, which made it a bit messy and kind of overwhelmed the whole thing. I wasn't a huge fan of the salsas either. On the bright side, I really enjoyed the jalapeños on the side--they were refreshing and spicy!

I rarely try new taco places in Dallas because I already have favorites but a friend brought me here. You order at the counter and they call you when it's ready. They have a self-serve salsa bar. They have indoor seating as well as a patio. The tacos had great flavor, I got the carne asada which was moist and delicious and the mushroom which was fantastic. Simple but more elevated than a street taco.

Looove this place. They have a help yourself hot sauce stand and the tacos are amazing. Definitely recommend the shrimp taco!

Tacos were not good, the meat had no flavor and they were also cold. Salsas were not flavorful nor spicy.

Dear Chilangos Management Team, I am a long-time patron of…read moreyour restaurant, frequently bringing my employees to dine with you two to three times a month. Unfortunately, our last two visits have been highly disappointing, and I wanted to bring this to your attention. During our visit today, we noticed a significant drop in the quality of the ribeye steak. The meat was tough, chewy, and lacked flavor. Given how frequently we dine here, the change was highly noticeable. Have you recently changed your meat providers or specifications for this cut? Additionally, as someone who works within a restaurant group, I must express concern regarding your beverage pricing. The current rates for water and soda are exceptionally high--to the point where my team now opts out of purchasing drinks entirely. I strongly encourage you to consider adjusting these to a more reasonable rate, or at the very least, proactively offering complimentary iced tap water. We truly love your restaurant and want to continue supporting you. I share this feedback in the spirit of helping your kitchen maintain its excellent standards. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Chris L.

I'll skip the pastor and chicken quesadilla next time, and try and get the birria tacos if I'm there on a Sunday. I didn't get a picture of churros but they were the best I've ever had. There are multiple locations in DFW, and this review is for the Chilangos in Dallas off of Ross. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - The two Chilangos locations I've been to are both located in strip malls with a bright, neon "Chilangos Tacos" sign above the entrance. Inside, there's reggaeton music, tons of patrons, and ESL here. Once you place your order, grab a Jarritos, a bright red metal seat, and watch the staff cook your tacos to order. 1 Star. Service - The staff are very friendly and efficient. It really helps if you speak Spanish, so go with someone who does, or point to the menu item you want. Once you place your order, grab a seat and wait for your name to be called. The staff is super nice and efficient, and our order was available in about 5 min. 1 Star. Food - Birria Quesatacos with consume. Memorize it and order it. Kudos to my son who swears by this dish. I am now a believer. The tender seasoned shredded birria beef is so flavorful. The quesataco style melts the cheese into the corn tortilla. And when you take some diced onion and cilantro to top it, dunk it in the consume before biting into the most flavorful taco served in DFW. According to the menu, this dish is only available on the weekend, but I've used food deliver services to get my consume fix during the week so YMMV. Bottom line, it's not just the best item on the menu, it's the best taco bite in all of DFW. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Chilango Tacos is expanding in DFW. There are now multiple locations in all of DFW so there should be a location near you. Chilangos Tacos is now in my weekly rotation. 1 Star.

Order this, and you won't go hungry. Cool downtown spot, open late, 10 minute walk from home. Plenty of seating inside and out. Only thing, and this doesn't go against the restaurant, but don't order delivery through their website if you can help it. Ordered through there, and it was assigned to Uber Eats. 6 drivers and 90 minutes later, my order was cancelled. I called the restaurant, and the staff was VERY helpful. Apparently, one driver stole my food, so every other driver was told there was no order to pick up. By ordering through the restaurant website, I couldn't dispute this with Uber Eats, since my account didn't reflect an order. However, the restaurant staff was VERY NICE in helping to issue a refund. I recommend the staff, not the delivery aspect. 2 hours later, and I wound up going to get a new order myself... even though I was feeling sick, which defeated the purpose of the delivery in the first place. Either way, I recommend the food, the staff, and the restaurant.. just not their hired delivery service.

However, if you only have time for one fuel stop in Texas, Fuel City is where it's at. The tacos at Fuel City rival some of the best ones I've had in the Lone Star state, but bring cash and make sure to read the menu carefully - cheese, for example, is extra. I've had the pleasure of visiting Fuel City in both Haltom and Dallas, both providing delicious tacos, fun taxidermy, and some live animals to boot. The car washes and e-Chargers are particularly popular, too. Open 24 hours. Come for the animals, stay for the tacos.

Fuel City used to be a reliable local staple for a quick meal, but it has completely gone downhill…read more It has always been sketchy due to being right next to the jail, but it used to at least be tolerable for a cheap, late night bite. Now, there is absolutely zero reason to pull in here. Between the sketchy crowd, overpriced convenience store items, and garbage food safety, it is a complete rip off. I actually like their tacos, but the price increases have made them completely not worth it anymore. Eating 7 tacos pushes you over $20, which is sit down restaurant territory for some quick grab and go food. For the price of each taco, you will get two layers of tortilla with a sprinkle of meat and onion. Let's do the math: for the price of just two of these tacos, I can go to In N Out and get a Double Double. That gets me two 100% pure beef patties packing 37 grams of actual protein, and I will leave completely full. What am I supposed to do with two Fuel City tacos? Use them to fill the spaces between my teeth? Also, skip the snacks inside. They price gouge like crazy! Sometimes nearly 2x what you would pay at 7-Eleven or Tom Thumb (which are not even cheap to begin with). Last time I checked, a bag of Hot Cheetos here was 6 bucks! For perspective, they are $3.97 at Walmart and $4.79 at Target. It is a total rip off. The final straw was the horchata. I bought two cups at 6:00 PM, drank one, and put the second straight into the fridge. By midnight, it had completely curdled and turned sour. It was clearly spoiled and at the end of its shelf life when sold, and it gave me a case of the runs later that night. This place survives solely on ancient hype, out of town truck drivers, transients who do not know the area, and nighttime biker meet ups. No local should pay a massive premium for gas station tacos and food poisoning when authentic neighborhood taquerias and actual burger joints offer real value for a less money.
