Came here after flying recommendations from friends and was in and out of the door in about 30 min (which we expected). We ordered the oreo matcha brulee (60% sweet) and hojicha latte (0% sweet, less ice) and were decently satisfied with both. The hojicha was still quite sweet and the cup was half filled with ice ... Yay to another shop giving some life and brightness back into the monterey park area! Everytime I passed by after work, there was always a line of people inside, so I was excited to finally give it a try this weekend. Heading to the store, the parking is a bit tough at this moment because there is construction, but instead of going to the parking lot in the front, it's best to turn left after the light to utilize the parking area there. The shop itself is really cute and aesthetic with a nice green and brown layout. I thought the giant open island in the middle of the shop was definitely unique for a boba store and made it feel like a coffee or cafe! The staff I interacted with is very kind, patient, and professional. The drinks were great! I really appreciated the Mango Coco because it has fresh, sweet mango inside of it and mixed with coconut jello really made it an excellent drink. My aunt enjoyed her Passion fruit Orange Green Tea Aloe Very long name but its very refreshing! My partner enjoyed his Mellow Pure Tea and said the brown sugar boba was chewy and delicious, but he would come back to try the milk tea version instead. Omomo dupe! This place I found to be sectioned away from the other food plaza nearby. I have tried their hojicha matcha latte, golden mellow milk tea, and lychee aiyu. Can't go wrong with any of their drinks but I like mine at 60% or 30% sweetness. If they had an online ordering system and service was faster, I think it would be a great place overall. Ok I need to write this in my review: the parking is a nightmare. Whatever you do, do NOT park in front of the store; park on the left when you come in. The way the parking situation at the front of the store is really bad; they have slanted parking but it is so tight and there's only access from one way coming in and out. The tea is strong at this place. Unfortunately, their ratios aren't ideal. For example, the fruit tea has a nice jasmine flavor in the liquid but there are too many fruit bits compared to the tea. 5 stars for their mango green tea--one of the best I've ever had! They blended pieces of fresh mango into the drink, so the flavor was unmatched--definitely better than most places that only use the syrup (nothing wrong with that, though!). I also tried their passionfruit orange green tea with aloe drink, which was refreshing and juicy, but the mango green tea is the winner for me. It seems like this place is fairly new, and when I went on a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty busy. There was a bit of a line to order and the staff informed me that it'd be about 20 min to prepare the drink, and I appreciated the heads up. I was totally fine waiting in the AC, and the wait was faster than I thought it'd be. There are only a handful of parking spots directly in front of the shop, so if they're full, skip it entirely (it's a weirdly small lot with only one entry point and getting out of there was awkward), and keep driving forward when you turn off from the main road. We were grocery shopping at the Ralph's and 99 Ranch across the street from this spot and decided to do a little stroll to come over. It was nighttime so not too crowded and we got our drinks pretty quickly. They do have a bathroom in case you need to use it and they do have maybe 5 tables or so that can seat around 12 people at one time. Parking seems awkward here or at least until this rest of this plaza gets finished? Been here a few times and have loved everything I got so far. This is the Sea Salt OG coffee, and let me just say I was happy to see coffee on the menu. It came with a free plastic cloud that goes on the straw and it made the picture that much better. The crew that works here are so nice and very helpful. She asked me if I wanted the cloud before she put it on. The coffee was good and was creamy. I suggest it if you are looking for coffee at this location (despite the price, but everything is literally hand made so I can't complain). FYI, construction is going on at Atlantic street and in the outside parking lot in front of the store, but if you go left to the parking structure you'll be fine. As for the street, just be prepared to wait a bit as the lanes going North reduces to one lane. The seating is limited but let's be for real, we all drink this in our cars. read more

This boba place is the only one in the purple building but there isn't much parking spots around except in the plaza next door. It's the same parking lot where Sunright is so there's going to be a bit of competition. We chose the Passion Fruit Green Tea aloe with boba and Lychee Aiyu. Both drinks at regular sugar and ice. They tasted good but DANG talk about sweet to the core. I'd say the good is that you can taste the authentic fruit flavor and the boba was actually pretty good. The bad is the amount of sweetness and the price. Since it was the grand opening, there weren't any seats or tables inside so can't really comment on the ambiance just yet. Quality of the teas have dropped since my last review, especially the Signature Fruit Tea, which used to be my go-to fave. The fruit is no longer fresh and they have gotten lazy with chopping the fruit neatly and precisely, which made this drink so appealing. Tried this place last weekend after seeing they giving out samples weeks prior. There was a good amount of people when I came in on a Friday night. Ordering was fast and I do like how they repeat the order, just in case they missed something. Seems like there's no parking lot right in front, but we parked right next door without issues. I was looking for something unique and the coconut taro blend caught my eye. It was well blended and the taro chucks at the bottom was nice. The coconut actually worked pretty well with the taro. There seems to be little jelly bits at the bottom. I'm a fan of taro, so I would have gladly loved more, although they already gave enough. It was a nice balance of both. I got it 100% sweet and for me, that was perfect. I also tried their house signature fruit tea and it was okay. It seemed to be a lot of fruit bits, but it did not stand out too much. Not much parking out front but there's another parking lot right next to the plaza. On Saturday 8pm, the wait was 10 min to order and another 10 min to actually get your drink. They sift and whisk the matcha, so it takes significantly longer to get the matcha drinks. I got the Tieguanyin milk tea with oat milk and honey boba, regular ice and sweetness. The drink by itself is very unsweetened even without adjustment. They have the option of 120% sweetness, but the regular sweetness tastes like 30% sweetness from other nearby boba shops. It tastes perfectly fine with the boba though. You can see them preparing fresh fruit and matcha so the quality of the drinks is good. New boba place in town! We came on a Saturday early afternoon and it was super packed! The wait time to get the drink was 30 mins but I think it took longer than that. Fortunately the shop was huge! So we could wait inside with AC instead of lining up outside in the heat. We ordered 3 drinks : lychee, strawberry milk and the macha. Unfortunately they forgot the boba and the brown sugar on our macha drink so we had to go back. But the staff was very apologetic and nice. They made a new one very quickly. All drinks were so good especially the lychee one! The boba texture was also perfect. More like a 4.5. It's been a long time since there was a business in this plaza, but what a great way to bring people back by opening The Tea! They're a newly opened boba shop and I'm so glad my friends and I decided to stop by (twice already)! This is everything we've tried thus far (all at 60% which is apparently their medium sweet %): Oreo Matcha Brûlée (5/5): yum! I was expecting it to be ice blended as it typically is at other shops, but the consistency is more like a typical matcha milk tea but with oreo bits blended into it. I was very pleasantly surprised! It was so good and it felt like we could take our time drinking it as opposed to rushing to slurp down a slush. Def recommend! Fresh Strawberry Matcha Milk (5/5): all of The Tea's matcha drinks are superb so far. They use real strawberry bits and whisk real Japanese ceremonial matcha powder. The ingredient quality is *chefs kiss* but I recommend getting this specific drink at maybe 30% sweet. I got 60% and it was slightly too sweet (but not enough to ruin my opinion of it). I'm typically not a fan of fresh milk drinks either because of the overwhelming plain milk taste, but the ratio is perfect here. Jasmine Green Milk Tea (4/5): I would say you should try their specialty drinks before their milk teas. It's a typical JMT, but if you're a hardcore-milk tea-only type of person, it still hits the spot. If you prefer cold drinks, especially during this summer heat, you should order it with extra ice. Earl Grey Milk Tea (4/5): pretty solid! Not the best earl grey milk tea I've ever tried but it's actually better than most and I'd get it again. It's akin to Bobaful's earl grey. Strawberry Snowy (4/5): super refreshing and I love that you can see them cutting up real fresh fruit in the back! The only downside is that it tastes bad when it's melted, but that's our fault for not finishing it right away lol Some things to consider: - tiny parking lot in front of the store so just use the parking garage of the next door plaza - I'm not sure how their sweetness works (60% is their "half" sweet, but I would go lower next time) - be prepared to wait at least 10 minutes (and up to 20-30 minutes on the weekend). I'd say to give them some time to adjust since they're new, but keep that in mind before you come if you're in a rush - there's no seating area so you'll have to stand while waiting for the drinks I appreciate their transparency pertaining to ingredients and the drink-making process. I really love the Vietnamese influence in some of the drinks (e.g. smashed avocado and different types of Vietnamese coffee) and the decor. Service is good as well; they're able to recommend drinks and appropriate sweetness levels, they're transparent in their process, and they apologized for the long wait which is nice. Honestly, The Tea might be my go-to boba shop in the 626 (at least for awhile) and I'll probably be back as soon as next week :') read more

The drinks are delicious. They're made with fresh ingredients AND YOU CAN TELL. The prices are kind of higher, but it seems appropriate for the quality. The inside is cute (nothing crazy) and clean, and there are a few places to sit down... plus you can watch them make the drinks fresh to order (literally... it's the center of the place LOL). Also, keep in mind that there is oftentimes quite a bit of a wait because of the freshness of everything. Not too busy, but they had a consistent amount of orders happening. Got the mango pomelo sago, toasted Thai tea, and toasted brown sugar milk tea. ALL THREE were great in their own ways. The mango pomelo sago was fruity -!: yummy. The toasted Thai tea definitely tasted toasted. The brown sugar milk tea had such an authentic tea flavor, not the powdered milky one some places always seem to have. Tried their No. 18 Golden Mellow BT and it was super fresh and not too sweet. Boba was cooked well. It's a decently sized place that you could totally chill/do work at, but there is very little room atm. Right now, it looks really cute in there but just doesn't have the right ~vibes~ to tie it all together. I know that it'll get there with more time. The cutest little boba shop! Love the color scheme and variety of flavors they offer. Customer service is top tier! Prices are just right. Parking right out front is very limited but you can also park in the garage on the left hand side if facing the shop. One thing I really want to note is how calm the decor is in this place. I've been to other boba spots where it's a little chaotic to look at or the music is really loud but this place makes you feel at ease. If you really wanted to, you could do homework in here.
