This review is for Riley's exceptional service! I came in after a wedding over the weekend with a group of about 30 people, and Riley's service was absolutely outstanding. Even with a packed bar and a few rowdy patrons, he made sure our group was well taken care of the entire night. He checked in regularly, brought orders quickly, cleared glasses almost as soon as they were empty, and made sure everything was running smoothly for our group all night (without ignoring any of the other bar guests). Riley's ability to manage such a large group with warmth and professionalism was remarkable, it was clear he genuinely cared about our enjoyment. As someone with a background in restaurant management, this really stood out to me. I was (and am) extremely impressed, he clearly made a big impact on our group. Honestly, Riley's service was some of the best I've ever had and The Tipsy Goat is lucky to have him. I will be coming back, as long as Riley's there! read more

The general manager was extremely rude and kicked my friends and I out after just being let in due to a confusion that could have been easily avoided. She was very rude and not understanding at all and felt the need to be in power control during to something that was just a minor confusion. She was dressed in civilian clothes and immediately questioned us after being let in and was immediately upset that we did not know she was a GM asking for an ID and having a drink in hand without looking the part as GM. read more

Great atmosphere ! We went to this place to hear a band called Get Off My Lawn, are were very happy to see the outdoor space, great music, fantastic service and yummy food and drinks. Our waitresses were great. We sat by the fire pits and ordered fancy drinks, chicken wings and tacos. The tacos were fantastic. I came to Tipsy Goat for Drag Brunch this past weekend and I was hesitant to come because of the previous bad reviews. Since it was raining, they had to move the show indoors which I'm sure was a last minute change. Despite all of the moving parts, my experience here was absolutely amazing! The service was wonderful. Food and drinks came out quick. I highly recommend the Tipsy Delight and the Hawaiian Mimosa. There was not one empty seat in the dining area and our server was the best! The DJ was on point, and the Drag show was perfection! I look forward to coming back for my birthday this summer! My visit was nothing close to what the bad reviews displayed. Maybe Sunday brunch vibe is far different from Saturday night, but I wanted to make sure I gave TG a positive shout out because it is truly deserved. Had a really horrible experience here on a Saturday night and will not be coming back. My friends and I were looking forward to having a girls' night and excitedly came to Tipsy Goat, having received recommendations for it from other friends. The manager was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. We were surprised and appalled that she was so ill mannered. We had great experiences with the bartender and bouncers and they deserve 5 stars for sure. Unfortunately, because of the poor treatment from the manager, we will not be returning. Highly recommend other places in town, such as Bamboo Room or Tarantula, if you're looking for a good time. Otherwise, you'll be better off making the drive to LA for some more welcoming spots. read more

GLASS IN SALSA: We had a wedding welcome dinner on Oct. 28 on the back patio. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great ambiance, nice lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A taco buffet was to be ready at 7:00. When we arrived after 7:15, only the table and bottoms of chaffing dishes were ready. Some early arrivals asked if there would be food coming at the buffet and the server strongly encouraged them to order food and drinks instead. When they discovered a taco bar would be coming they tried to cancel their order only minutes later but the owner (Danika) refused, saying they had already started to prepare the food. The owner also refused to comp the meals however did end up doing so, after a pointed discussion and sharing of the wait staff's interaction. Later, a guest told me she ate a chip with salsa and discovered a piece of glass in her mouth from the salsa! After bringing the glass to the manager, no apology was expressed, no "Are you ok?", and no one replaced the salsa on all the tables. The manager or owner never told me or the bride and groom what had happened. After our event, I corresponded with the owner and, only after my confrontation did she offer a weak apology, said she fired the waitress (of which I never asked her to do) and offered to refund the chips and salsa. I then asked instead for a $400 refund (out of a total of $3152 spent) which is insignificant compared to what she would've had to pay had our guest cut her mouth or swallowed the glass! One week went by and no word from the owner. I then emailed her again and, another week later, have received no response. She appears to now be "ghosting" me and has not even refunded the chips and salsa. I will say that once the taco bar was eventually set up the food was very good however, given the poor customer service, lack of honesty and ownership regarding the glass, I would not recommend patronizing this brewery. read more

I want to start this off by saying that I am a long time customer of the Tipsy Goat. Never have I had anything negative to say about my experience with any of the staff. And I even gave myself some time to process this before I even wrote a review. Babs is one of the kindest people you'll ever meet and all of the security guards have always been pleasant and funny. But last night I had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting Danika. I was looking for my friends so we could leave as one does when my phone died. Leaving me with no access to get in contact with them or call for a ride. I immediately found Babs explained her of my situation and she plugged my phone in for me. Not even 20 seconds later this woman (who i've never seen there in my 3 years of coming in) came up and started screaming at me telling me that it was time to leave. I attempted to calmly explain the situation to her and she said and i quote, "I don't care if you don't have a ride but you can't stay in here you can stand all night in the parking lot for all i care" unplugged my phone and practically threw it at me stating that it was on now. i took my phone with 1% to where it immediately died as i tried to call my friends. Luckily Marshawn was up by the exit and was able to console me (as i was very upset and scared) and i was eventually able to find my friends. I understand that she was just trying to get people out and follow the rules. But as a bar owner to tell an intoxicated woman that she can sit in the parking lot for god knows how long and no phone is absolutely ridiculous. I LOVE this place more than anything but after that experience I don't think that I ever want to give her any more of money. She should really stay at home and let her amazing staff do all the work. read more

I came to Tipsy Goat for a drag brunch hosted by Pam Cakes and produced by TJ. Although I personally didn't order food, my friend who had a sandwich with tater-tots, he said the food was good. I did have drinks from the bar while the show was going on, and I was very pleased with the bar service and drinks. I really want to come back for more shows and check out other events, as I know that this is a one-of-a-kind show in the Thousand Oaks area. We need more things like this in this area. On Tuesday nights the Tipsy Goat is the place is to be! It's trivia night at the goat on Tuesdays and the bar runs a great show. On top of that, you have great deals that last all night from $2 tacos, $5 margs, and a $9 Modelo with a tequila shot. The tacos are tiny, but they're actually very well seasoned and taste phenomenal. I really want to come here on a weekend night because I hear it draws a good crowd that can be a lot of fun. But for a mellow Tuesday, the Goat still offers great vibes and a chill atmosphere. They have cozy little fire pits on the side for the warm nights, and an abundance of outdoor seating both in the front and back of the restaurant. Out of all the bars I've been to in Thousand Oaks, Tipsy Goat is the most fun I have had by far. I'm not sure why this place has three stars. It really has everything. It has games in a large bar. The bar is large with lots of friendly attentive bartenders. The drink that I had was rum and Coke and it was very strong. I watched the bartender fill the drink half full of alcohol. The waitress was very attentive and coming around to collect our empty cups constantly. Last call for drinks is around 1:30 AM which is pretty standard. It was a pretty crowded place and they checked my ID at the door. They gave me a wristband since I am over 21. I think this place is for those in their 20s and 30s. There was a space for a dance floor and a live DJ who played a variety of music. There's also lots of places with seats and tables. I'm not sure what more you would want from a bar besides music dancing and drinks. I had a fun time! read more

just had to leave a review for the amazing treatment of mama babs . a few weeks ago my friends and i were at tipsy and some drunk fool was all over my girlfriends and i making us uncomfortable and my guy friend stood up for us and the drunk fool began to call my guy friend slurs. it was extremely rude and uncalled for and made a whole scene. we told mama babs what happened and she handled the situation and made sure the guy was kicked out and continually checked in on us through the whole night and expressed her frustration for us. tipsy has definitely has had its ups and downs recently but we continue to come for the sweet mama babs who always takes care of us. After years of coming here, this is the first review I'm finally writing. The food has definitely improved since 2018. The shepherds pie is divine and so are The brunch deals. I will say the corned beef egg rolls are not something that should be on the menu. But their other signature items are worth a shot. I'd recommended trying the shepherds pie on your first round. The security guards on weekends have been extremely receptive and respectful. Staff will even remember your name and converse with you on occasion. The crowd is 100% hit or miss. It has gone somewhat downhill over the years. But the regulars keep the place alive. read more

Please stay away from this place at all costs. They don't look out for your safety whatsoever and are simply looking for a dollar in their pockets.
