I was already frustrated that my Amazon package was defective and broke so I had no choice to return it and ship it back. I was charged a dollar to re-tape the original box it came in. Investigation filed! Be careful with Amazon returns. We dropped off a return, and it never reached Amazon. The store insisted it was sent out and it wasn't their responsibility. However, the tracking number shows it never moved. UPS main office stated Amazon had to start the investigation into the matter. If at all possible, use the Amazon Hub, which for some reason we could not for this return. Btw- Amazon customer service was wonderful read more

I came to the UPS store about 10 minutes before closing. The owner came out trying to help me and another customer at the same time. He was rushing so much he knocked one of my items for shipping over the counter on the floor. Then I asked him questions about the pricing of the shipping. He answered my questions about the shipping prices about 7 times in a row incorrectly. To be an owner he sure is a poor listener. When I would ask about the original price of shipping, he would give the discounted price. I was able to use a total of a 20% off for shipping due to me being a AAA member. He couldn't even immediately tell me what discount was without looking at the cash register. Get this: HE had the nerve to get frustrated by yelling at me in an empty store about how he was doing ME a favor since I came in AFTER closing. That was a lie. I came in 10 minutes before closing. He began to tell me how he didn't want to continue helping me. Like he was hooking me up? Chile please? I obliged him and told him I don't want to spend my money there. This child of God tried to berate me and tell me I was rude for simply asking too many intelligent questions about the pricing? After all, he thought he was answering my questions when he told me what the price would be AFTER the discount. See what he failed to realize and understand is I can add, subtract, multiply, and divide while doing Calculus. I was checking his math to ensure I was being charged correctly. What no one will ever do is spoon feed me like I can't think and compute for myself. As he was roughly unpacking my package, I informed him I would tell my whole family not to spend their money at this store. I know it is under new management because I knew the previous owner. He told me he was glad that I wanted to tell my family not to come to his store because he doesn't want their money. All FBAs boycott this store on the strength of the pure disrespect. All older people boycott this store if you want to be treated with respect during closing so he won't have the chance to show his his true unprofessional colors when other customers can't see him act all the way up. Finally, the young lady in the back came from the back and instructed him to stop arguing with me. She also was professional enough to see I left an instruction manual in the store and politely returned it to me while I was in my car attempting to drive away. I have been going to this particular store for over 20 years with no problems until this new owner. He said he doesn't want the money from people like me. I implore you to go to another UPS store where people are professional and don't try to disrespect the elderly around closing when he has no other customers to see him being so unprofessional. If I could give zero stars because he reneged on the sale, I would have given -5 stars. But it was not a waste of time. I believe in Rom8:28. According to Maya Angelou, when people show you who they are I believe them. I personally don't spend my money with people who act like they can't tolerate me or my money. I only spend my money where I'm celebrated with the respect as a customer deserves. I will gladly spend my money where I'm respected as a customer. I have gone to other UPS stores in the area toward the end of closing and no one was rushing so much that they are throwing my product to the ground and unable after several attempts to answer simple shipping costs questions without hesitation and incorrect information. I came to return a package from Amazon and forgot to tape it up myself. They want to charge $2.18 for a strip of tape so I took my package back to my car and found that I had a brand new thing of Scotch tape. Tape it up pretty good and they still wouldn't take the package and said that they were going to charge me the money. That's BS they shouldn't be able to tell people what kind of tape to use it just means if it gets damaged I'm responsible for the package and I won't get my refund so just take the damn package. I have never had any issues here, the employees are typically very helpful and kind. However, that is overshadowed by my experience as of today. I went to return my hubby's Nike's & forgot to print my label from home earlier so I figured I'd just email the label and have them print it out here at the store. I emailed it to the store but was told it's $3.50 to EMAIL... NOT TO PRINT -- BUT TO EMAIL my shipping label. Really? Who the hell would have ever thought anyone could charge to EMAIL? My receipt literally says: " Email . . . . . . . . . $3.50 " Never have I had to pay a fee to EMAIL & print a shipping label before from this or any UPS store, BUT if that has changed in the last few months then that's totally fine, I get it. But to charge $3.50 to email and print a shipping label, NØ, That just doesn't sound right. Something seems off. I'm glad they're open on a Sunday when most other UPS places are closed. They were a little busier than I expected for a small store, and especially with shelter-in-place, but the line moved fairly quickly. All I had was a drop-off with a prepaid label, so that helped with efficiency. Service was pretty friendly. read more

Online I got a quote for 14 cent per copy...I checked several locations who also charged 14 cents per copy...this is the only location that charges .31 cents for a black and white copy on the cheapest paper and cheapest print quality. First there was only one visible employee, who waiting on some folks that were clearly going to take a long time. After waiting about ten minutes an employee peaks out from a back room. About a minute after that two employees come out to the counter and start helping people. So I was returning an item to Amazon. Supposedly free return with UPS. The clerk tells me that it will be $20.00. I point out that return via UPS to Amazon is supposed to be free. In an annoyed tone the clerk tells me that the shipping is free, but the item needs to be boxed before shipping and that box will cost $20.00. The item was only worth a refund of $37.00 (a pair of pants). I have never been charged at any other UPS Store for a box to return an item to Amazon. In the past year and a half years I've lived in Elk Grove, I've visited this UPS Store location twice. Both times I was greeted by a young high school or college aged male. The customer service I received was great, kudos to the manager or owner whoever selects these "kids". They are polite, helpful and seem happy to be working there, truly service with a smile. My wait time was under 5 minutes and it seemed there was ample staff members for the size of the store and volume of traffic that came in both times. The employees weren't standing around, with their faces in their phones (LOL), they were helping citizens OR doing other tasks. I was prepared when I went into the facility and needed only to have my items rechecked, sealed and a label placed on the package. Great service! I will seek out this business if and when I need this type of service in the future. read more

I have used this UPS store for several years. And, the service from SCOTT goes beyond the basic stamp and sending packages. Once, I brought in a package, very large and heavy, and found out it was a FED Ex product but Scott without asking came over and put it in the car for me. I am a senior and lifting heavy packages can be hard. But Scott always has a smile on his face and ALWAYS willing to help or explain things for me. After spending HUNDREDS of dollars in this store last year, they had the nerve to refuse to ship a small package unless I paid them $1.00 for a 4" strip of tape. Last year we spent hundreds of dollars with this store shipping items to New York for my daughter. We were going to spend hundreds more this year too....until they charged me $1.00 for a piece of tape. The package was an unopened return to Amazon. They refused to ship it unless I let them tape it. The package was fine. The owner Greg Higley told me that I had to pay $1.00 for 4" of tape. Do not go here EVER. Greg Higley lost our business forever. This UPS Store is the best! They have the best customer service! Wonderful people working at this location! I ship packages and drop off pre-paid return packages all the time. I have even paid for them to box and ship things for me. They take great care when preparing the package, using plenty of cushion material to guarantee the items inside would not be damage in shipping. During times when I expect UPS packages to be delivered at home and I know I would not be home on the estimated delivery date, I would leave instructions for UPS to deliver the package to this UPS Store. They would hold it for 7 days, enough time for me to come in to pick it up. This location is also the only UPS Store in the area that is opened 7 days a week. Very convenient. I LOVE this UPS location! I only come here to mostly drop off packages, rarely I buy shipping here but when I do, the employees are super nice and helpful. Sometimes when I walk in, the staff sees me and immediately tends to me even when they are doing something else. They always greet me and work super fast. They will even walk out of the store to help with your heavy (or multiple) packages if you need it, too! Love it!! What I also like most about this place is that they are open on Sundays, which is super convenient. I wish more UPS stores are open on Sundays, it can make dropping off packages (especially the post office kinds), super easy. As for the parking, it's spacious since you can either park in the lot in front of UPS, or behind it facing McDonald's. I definitely plan on coming back here when I need a package or mail dropped off. 5-stars all the way! read more

They know how to get money out of their unknowing customers. We went in to get official documents notarized. The notary took signatures and finger prints, notarized the documents without proper dates, which I understand is against notary rules and regulations. We ended up having to go back and having the documents re-notarized with the proper dates only to be charged again. When I complained, they said it was our fault and that they were not responsible. What a great way to get more money out of your customers! read more
