I make trips here regularly as they offer many useful services. UPS has helped me print documents, taken and printed my passport photo, and shipped my packages (including USPS packages). Furthermore, each service is always provided by a friendly, helpful, and efficient staff member. And they are always very knowledgable when I have any questions. All around great store! read more

I had been using this store for over 6 years primarily for business but also for personal shipping needs. Yesterday, I was greeted immediately and told them I needed to ship a large painting. It had been purchased the night before through Amazon.com. I asked if the Notary was in and the young man pointed to another employee and said there he is. After about 10 minutes, the employee who was helping me told me there was not a box available that was close to being able to fit the 12x 36x1 inch painting. I gave him permission to cut down a larger box ( at a higher expense ) to ship the painting. The other employee was finished notarizing another gentleman's documents and came to the front counter. I asked if he would notarized my documents and he told me the guy helping me was also a notary. He then turned to help two other customers who had arrived after me with the copy machine. When my employee came back out and told me the shipping costs were going to be about 75.00 not counting the box, I told him it was fine. I also said, "You didn't tell me you were an Notary." To which there was no response. He told me with all the services, my final bill was going to be over a hundred dollars and I said that was fine. I was a little concerned that he did not show me the final package that wrapped my painting but I was okay with the results of my numerous other shipments in the past. As I was entering the transaction number for my customer, I noticed I had been billed twice for the shipment. First 75 dollars and the second for 85 dollars. I called the office and my phone call was answered by the owner/manager. She said she was out to lunch and came back to check the transactions. She noticed the error and was going to call me but it got busy so she delayed contacting me. She asked that I wait a bit so that she could get the paperwork and finish with some customers that were still in the store. I told her that I was fine with that. About an hour later, she said she wanted my credit card number so she could refund me the 75.00 dollars. She then told me that she noticed the employee didn't charge me for the packing peanuts and bubble wrap so she was going to deduct the 16 plus dollars from my refund. My payment to them still totaled well over 100 dollars. I told her I thought it was very bad customer service on her part. I said, "I would have considered coming back if you had given me the packing material after the problems with the bill and service but since she did not, not so much." She had not reaction. I used to run a 4 million dollar budgeted government agency that serviced three cities. I know what is good and bad service. I will not patronize this UPS any longer because of the poor treatment and lack of caring I received. read more

ovecharged me. I went to this store on March 17/2009. The clerk overcharged me by 200% of the actual cost. I used USPS Global Priority Mail Flat Rate envelope and they charged by 24$. I check at another UPS Store near AAA and they told me its 12.50. I also checked at USPS website and Its 12.50. These guys overcharge un-suspecting customers. I have come to this location multiple times because it is closer to my apartment but every time I have tried to get something notarized the lady who does it is never there. One day she didn't come til 2 and it was 9 am and the others have been an off day. Went to the other location where the guy is always there to perform any of the services they offer, not just when the lady feels like working. read more

I've visited this UPS Store location on several locations. This store is very small with only 2-3 clerks working, but I've never had to wait too long at the counter. Staff is always helpful and courteous. There were several occasions when I was dropping off packages with pre-paid shipping labels. A few other times, I had to scan some documents and make copies bc my home printer was broken. I was in and out of there within a matter of minutes. Parking is easy in the small strip mall across from the San Ramon Library. This UPS also takes part in the One Warm Coat donation drive during the holidays! read more

Good Customer service is still alive and well and its happening at the UPS Store at the Market Place in San Ramon. I just dropped off a few bags of clothing and the staff there was so helpful! They greeted me with genuine warmth as if I was a long time customer (I'm not, its my first time there) then they offered to go to my car to bring in the remaining bags. Once I had all my things at the counter, I said I can come back and they said no we will box your stuff now, all the time appreciating my business and making me feel like royalty. Not only that they boxed my stuff in only two boxes to save me money! (I expected 4 boxes) Gosh this is like the good old days of customer service. So go to the UPS Market Place if you are feeling any nostalgia for the good old days of customer service ( I remember gas station attendants used to fill up your car, check the tire pressure and wash your window for now extra charge - that was the good old days of customer service). read more

Not quite sure what sir "Jeremy T" is talking about. I was the woman getting her fingerprints done, coincidentally! The kind young man helping me was very patient and it did not take more than 10 minutes to get my "livescan fingerprints" complete. Mr. Jeremy even left a box and the young gentleman helping me took it from him and wished him a good day. The staff here are wonderful and efficient, and every time I come here, whether it's to ship an item or if it was for this, I was never let down. read more

The customer service is lacking. Usually they are understaffed and long lines build up. Today, a woman was getting fingerprints done. There was one person working. I was next in line and thought a 10 minute wait would be tolerable. More people continued to arrive, they waited, and then they left. After 20 minutes, I left also. I was totally overcharged for shipping a box by UPS Ground from this store earlier this month. The representative was a young South Asian woman who was training a new employee at the time. I knew that I might get taken advantage of if I didn't come with the box already packed. I had some clothing I had to ship home back across the country. They took my items to the back and packed it a much larger box than necessary, a 20x20x12 in box. My stuff weighed 16 lbs, which should have cost about $40. But because of the large box they chose to use, I ended up being charged by dimensions. They had the nerve to enter the dimensions as 21x21x13, without using a tape measure to actually measure the box like they are supposed to. Adding an inch to each dimension added $20 to what I should have been actually charged for that size box, come to find out later. I was charged almost $100. On top of this, the box was not even the full 20x20x12, because it was one of those adjustable size boxes that was folded even smaller than the largest dimension. To add insult to injury, they charged me $7 for bubble wrap that I discovered wasn't even inflated when I opened the box upon arrival. Shame on them for their unethical business practices. Buyer beware. read more

We were having an issue getting a vehicle notarized and it had to be done in a matter of minutes, and all of the employees here dropped everything they were doing to help our situation and got the car notarized in a matter of minutes and everything worked out. Complete opposite of the other UPS store in San Ramon. There was a single person helping a couple with notary services when I walked in and there were several other people in line ahead of me. I just needed to drop of an Amazon return. The employee made sure everyone was greeted and she would be with them ASAP. She proceeded to multi-task while waiting for the notary couple to finish their signing. She saw my pre-labeled package and asked "are you just dropping off?". I said yes and she took it, scanned it, and gave me a receipt in about 15 seconds. I was out of there in three minutes. Such a pleasant experience compared to the other location. I will gladly drive the extra miles to use this facility in the future. read more
