Protein Pancakes and Chicken Caesar Wrap

I wanted to love this place so bad. The vibes on the patio are amazing and service was fine. However the food and portions for what you're paying I would much rather go to local foods, true food, or flower child to get the same quality of ingredients and "healthy" going out vibe, since those actually taste good. The protein pancakes were very disappointing and my friend even says she can make better ones at home. They just tasted like they came from a kodiak pancake mix, nothing special. The chicken caesar wrap was very small, there was hardly any chicken and the croutons were not crunchy, they were just dense and not enjoyable to eat. The spritz was very refreshing and enjoyable. I might be back to try their steak and eggs because I heard that's good.

Went here for a Saturday lunch without a reservation and it was busy. We were able to sit at the bar easily and got great service. The place has a very cool esthetic. The food was amazing. I wish I could have ordered more. Lots of things I want to try in the menu but the steak and eggs were cooked perfectly. It is exactly what you need for a mid day post workout protein meal. I will definitely suggest this place.

Was so grateful and excited there was a seed oil free and gluten and dairy free restaurant in the area!! That is rare. So I had to try! Met up with friends who hadn't seen in a few months. Made reservations a week or two ahead and there were plenty of times to choose from. We sat outside as it was a decent day to do that. They do have heat lamps if need be but we didn't need those. Even though it was outside it still felt private. I ordered the salted caramel macchiato and the chicken pecan salad sandwich which came with an arugula salad. The coffee was ok. I was hoping to like the flavor more. But that could just be me as I don't drink coffee and when I do it's usually sugary coffee. This one is obviously healthy so that could be it. Still, I expected more. But the sandwich and salad made up for it!! I read mixed reviews about the sandwich and was hesitant to order. But I would get it again it was soooo good!! Filling, not heavy yet didn't feel hungry after. The salad was surprisingly amazing. It had a vinaigrette that was very delicious. I went on a Saturday during brunch. Was hoping to be able to order regular tacos but they only offered breakfast tacos. So would love to come back when it isn't brunch. The interior was beautiful as I had to walk inside to use the restroom. The restroom was tiny though. We were piled in there waiting for 3 stalls to become open. Could use a bigger bathroom for an establishment that busy. But the interior decor was absolutely breathtaking! Such a vibe! Will definitely be back. Can't wait to take my hubby and my sister who loves eating healthy as well. Ps. Would really love to see nutrition facts on the menu. Knowing the macros seems to be pretty commonplace with people now days. And probably more so with people who choose to dine at The Well. Please put those on the menu!! :)

Always love picking up my lunch here. Staff is nice and good is fresh. Decided to try their avocado mousse and the ingredients look great but it wasn't my favorite when it comes to taste. The chicken grain bowl however was amazing in every way. The flavor, the freshness, the texture and the dressing. I can eat this everyday. They also offer cold pressed juice, shots and made to order smoothy but I didn't try it this time.

I can't believe I haven't been here sooner!! The Well has been on my radar, but when I was attending a show at ACL Live during SXSW, this was the perfect opportunity. I was with a friend that is vegan and I suggested here for dinner. We looked at the menu and agreed to try it! We shared the Thai Lettuce Wraps V $15: local mushroom, organic, mint, organic wild grain trio, ginger, fresno and organic jalapeno, local gem lettuce, cashew. They were SO flavorful and delicious, however 4 small lettuce leaves were not enough. We asked for more and got 4 more small leaves, which they charged us $2 for. I do think that's a bit crazy. I would order this app again though! We each tried the Coconut Curry Squash for dinner- V $22 - local seasonal squash medley, seasonal bell pepper, heirloom cherry tomato, pepitas, sesame seeds, organic heirloom grain trio. I didn't know the grains would be so similar to the lettuce wraps, so next time I would get one or the other. I loved this curry though - WOW. It tasted like fall. So fresh and delicious. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. I had a glass of garnacha and my friend had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. My glass was $15 on the menu but I was charged $17 on my bill. Prices are super high for the portion size, but the food was so delicious I will definitely go back. Beautiful restaurant conveniently located right downtown on 2nd st.

For those who are health-conscious, The Well is definitely one to add to your list. Created by the culinary director behind Devil May Care and TenTen (Jon Oh) and a nutritional consultant (Liv Langdon), the menu is entirely non-GMO, soy-free, refined-sugar-free, and easily modifiable. I wouldn't say the food was bad, but the flavors were a bit one dimensional and missed marks due to the emphasis on clean ingredients. The menu is on the smaller side, so we stuck with light bites and drinks. We ordered the Market Fish Ceviche, the Texas Wagyu Beef Tartare, and the Beet-Cured Salmon Sashimi. The ceviche felt too diluted and lacked the creaminess I was expecting. The tartare had good flavor but tasted a bit like a salty burger, which made it oddly addictive. The Salmon Sashimi was a bit more familiar in flavor, as it reminded me of a Salmon lox on a crostini. Since I was on a health kick for the night, it only felt right to end with a wellness shot-- a wellness shot that is-- and ordered the High 5 (carrot, pineapple, ginger, turmeric, and lemon) which was perfect--spicy (ginger), yet refreshing.

The ambiance is moody and the decor is modern and chic. The Well boasts hand painted artwork on its walls and a comfortable space to enjoy a meal. I had the Blues on the Green cocktail. The blue corn salt went perfectly with the drink. It was refreshing. We started with the aguachile. It was fresh, the citrus paired well with a kick of peppers. I had the pasta bolognese for my entree. The pasta was a bit hard but the bolognese was savory and seasoned perfectly. It was a hearty meal. The portion was large. The service was a bit slow but I would definitely return to The Well to try other menu options.

Went to The Well for dinner with friends and it was such a wonderful experience. I ordered the sustainably sourced salmon, which was served on a bed of organic spinach and kale, and it was absolutely delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly. It was tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. What I really love about The Well is the thoughtful menu. Everything is gluten- and dairy-free, and there are so many vegan options, which makes it a great place for groups with different dietary needs. It's not easy to find a spot that feels both health-conscious and indulgent at the same time, but this place nails it. The ambiance is also beautiful. It's warm, modern, and inviting. It's the kind of place that works equally well for a casual dinner with friends or a slightly more special night out. I'll definitely be going back and can't wait to try more of the menu.

This place does healthier whole foods so well! Everytime I've come I've enjoyed my meal so finally decided to write a review after coming here for brunch - we hadn't made a reservation but thought we'd just walk in even though it was a Sunday and altho we got quoted 45 mins I'm glad we sat and waited because we were seated within about 5-6 mins! We both ordered their wellness juices - I loved the high 5! For food we got the potato & "chorizo" (vegan) hash (added an egg) which was delicious flavor wise but deducted a star for not being served hot or even warm. We also got the steak & eggs which was delicious and a huge portion which makes the price worth it. Don't hesitate to come here - great flavors and love the ambiance.

The Well is super aesthetic and really pretty inside -- definitely one of those Instagram-worthy spots. It says casual, but I felt a little underdressed showing up in leggings and a jacket. The service was great though, no complaints there. The menu is all about being healthy -- dairy-, gluten-, and soy-free -- which I think is awesome in theory, but the food itself just didn't blow me away. It was good, but honestly felt like something I could make at home. For the prices, I was hoping for a little more flavor and excitement. I like bold, rich flavors, and this spot felt a bit too mild for me. I get why it's popular -- it's super pretty and has a good vibe for groups after work or weekend brunch -- but it's just not really my vibe.

A great spot when you want to be both health conscious and out and about! The food is all very tasty and you never leave feeling uncomfortable. We went for a coconut squash curry which I thought was going to be more curry like but instead it was quinoa based with a sauced poured over the veggies, was delish anyway. I opted for the side of 6 oz sirloin steak so I could select my own veggies and went with brussels and a cauliflower kale. I ordered medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. Service was excellent, both fast and friendly. We sat outside, warmed by heat lamps and under the string lights. There is parking validated at a garage nearby @ 157 Guad.

Really enjoyed my dinner here at the well. Known for their clean food, I was excited to try a hearty dish, especially since it was freezing outside. I order the curry with quinoa and vegetables. It was delicious! I wish I had more curry but this dish was filling. I also order the beet mocktail. It was tart, sweet, the perfect addition to my meal. Stopped at the Well for a quick brunch on a Sunday morning. I love that Austin has such a nice restaurant downtown where the entire menu is gluten, soy, dairy, refined sugar, and peanut free. The ambiance is aesthetic and cozy. Their staff is amazing. Our waitress was so beautiful, genuine, and helpful. The ambiance and music were perfect for a relaxing night out with my colleagues. We loved being seated in the circular booths at the back so that we could discuss the day's business without disturbing the other patrons. We also appreciated the focus on healthy dishes that is part of Th Well's concept. I had one of their mocktails, the pillow talk, which was not only tasty but beautiful to look at. For dinner I chose the sustainably sourced salmon. The spinach, kale and broccoli had just the right amount of garlicky goodness and the fish itself was cooked to perfection with a crunchy skin on top. Earlier in the evening, I had mentioned a peanut/legume allergy and without asking, they made my dish bean free. This attention to detail was very much appreciated along with the excellent service. I'll definitely be back and would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the 2nd street area. read more

100% gluten free restaurant in the heart of downtown Austin (in the 2nd district area). I have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally did. There were so many great options on the brunch menu but we needed up picking the avocado toast and chilaquiles. Both were delicious! We skipped the alcoholic beverages this time and opted for coffee and juices. The service was great. Our waiter, Aaron, was friendly and knowledgeable. The vibe of the restaurant was fun and fresh. loveddd their recover smoothie which was a mix of vanilla and chocolate and definitely on the sweeter side. BAE toast was alright, the avocado was a little overpowering and the bacon could've been crispier. this place has a very modern, boho-chic aesthetic that will leave you awestruck. my friend got the boss babe smoothie with the chilaquiles plate and wagyu. besides a little more salt, the steak was easy to enjoy. her smoothie was more on the tart side. our server seated us the best seat in the cafe and offered great recommendations. he was sweet and accommodating! cute & very healthy brunch spot with tasty smoothies! read more

I tried this adorable restaurant for brunch and was so pleasantly surprised at how cozy and cute it was inside! It's so ig aesthetic and vibey and the food is actually great. I ordered the vegan Caesar with organic chicken (lol) and it was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The service was friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a chill place to have brunch with friends while downtown, this is definitely the spot. Can't wait to come back and try more from their menu. This past Tuesday, November 11, 2025 my spouse and I visited your restaurant for the second time. First visit was wonderful, unfortunately this recent visit was not. I wanted to share my concerns regarding a recent visit to your establishment. According to your website, you serve an "all-day menu" Monday through Friday, which should include items such as Avocado Toast. However, when we arrived around 3:00 p.m., we were only given the dinner menu. I'm not sure why this happened--3:00 p.m. seems rather early for dinner service. When we inquired about the menu and requested to order the Avocado Toast, we were told that it is only on the lunch menu and it is not being served at this time. I would have appreciated a bit more flexibility or an exception from the chef. Additionally, if Happy Hour begins at 3:00, we were not informed of it, nor were we offered a Happy Hour menu. This was quite disappointing to learn after the fact. To add to the experience the meal was not fresh, it seemed as if it was left over from the lunch rush and simply reheated in the Microwave. Our last concern is after our meals were served, our Server Catherine, never returned to check on us or see if we needed anything else. Given that the restaurant was nearly empty at that time, this lack of attention was surprising. Overall, the visit was a sad and disappointing experience, especially given the expectations set by your website and past reputation. I've been here twice, once for my birthday brunch and once for dinner on the patio. The food is amazing and the ambiance is immaculate. Do NOT skip the bread and butter appetizer, I think about it every day. Other standouts are the Deep roots juice, vegan Caesar salad, Brussels sprouts, coconut curry squash, and for brunch the Potato and Chorizo hash. Also it's so nice that everything is gluten free and free from seed oils, but in zero way does it affect the flavors!!! This was my first visit and I found parking in the 2nd street parking garage. The restaurant was loud but this was an event so I am not sure if this is the normal volume. The ceilings are high and the lighting was right (not dim and not bright). The restaurant was very clean. The tasting menu was for sampling the happy hour bites menu. The menu is entirely gluten free. They only use 3 oils to cook with avocado, coconut, and another oil (I forgot). All ingredients are sourced with a focus on quality. I tried the Pear Bruschetta, Mushroom Crostini, and the Chicken Flautas. All had a great taste. The wait staff was on top of everything. Their service was exceptional. I will be back to try their main menu and post a review on that after a future visit. I also had the black tea old fashioned and the margarita. Both with great taste. Overall a great trendy place. First time visit for me. I stopped by for a ladies brunch and we had a lovely time. This place has a cozy and chic ambiance. The food was tasty but personally thought my dish had too much going on. We started out with a round of Sangria, while delicious, flavor wise tasted more like a fall drink instead of summer. It would have been nice to have the option to choose white or red sangria. Nonetheless the service was spot on as our server was pleasant and promptly brought out items to the table. I may give this spot another try in the future. read more

Smugly preached "high-grade, seed-oil-free" like its communion. Ordered the Wagyu burger. **$13 for mid?** That gluten-free rice bun is a war crime--dense, flavorless, collapses like Austin's credibility in "wellness." The "Wagyu" patty? Under seasoned gray disc; I've had more seasoned hockey pucks from a British petrol station at 3 AM. Cleaner than thou? I went to the well for happy hour, they have specialty drinks as well as nonalcoholic drinks, on happy hour. Everything is gluten-free and there were definitely vegetarian options. I had the ceviche which was delicious and the avocado chocolate mousse tart. The service was great and there is ample indoor and outdoor seating. The inside of this restaurant has been done so beautifully it is really calming and lovely. read more

Great spot for brunch, the atmosphere is beyond beautiful! Perfect for pictures and really makes you feel like you are at a nice fancy modern restaurant. The food tasted great but is a little unique and a little too out there flavor wise. A few people at our table had to make modifications as it was not traditional brunch items. Their cocktail, wine and drink list was phenomenal and they had a large variety of non alcoholic drink options as well. They also had a whole wellness section which is great for brunch that included, healthy organic smoothies that could be served as bowls with fresh fruit as well. I like that they have so many healthy vegan food and zero proof drink options. The vegan queso is one of the best I have had and very close to the real thing. Love this spot! I went for brunch when I had a few friends in town and had a great time. Our server was so nice, explaining all the dishes to us. I ended up with the chill smoothie bowl and loved it. Others had various brunch options and not a single complaint was heard. I have to be careful what I eat because of a chronic illness and they made it super easy to trust the menu. We moved to Austin about a year ago and The Well is our absolute favorite. Nourishing meals across the board, great lattes and teas, love the bone broth and we have brought friends and family alike when they are here to visit and everyone is always happy with the food. We always have great service at both locations, and the parking is easy downtown - you can do city hall or the amli garage and they validate for you! I'm leaving this review so someone from management can take notice. I have always appreciated how The Well has been open to customer feedback and improving from it. As much as I love this place -- where else do you get such delicious gf sf df food -- my frustrations with service continue. This time, it was the two girls at the host stand. We arrived around 5pm and asked where we should park. One of them guided us to the City Hall garage (they validate the first 90 minutes). By the time we circled around, parked, and walked over, about 15 minutes later, they had a sign on the door saying The Well was closed for a private event. I don't understand why they wouldn't tell us that when we asked where to park - that's just such common sense. And we confirmed with them that they didn't have the private event notice 15 minutes prior. And there is no way someone walked in within those 15 minutes and bought out the whole restaurant. And there was no ownership over the situation from the hostess, or an acknowledgment of how this wasted our time. There was just a casual shrug, an offer to still validate, and a prompt return to their giggly gossiping with each other. It was like she was saying - NBD. But it was for us - and that's where basic customer service comes in. Or even simple human empathy. The food here is absolutely delicious and the ambiance is perfect -- but it may now be time to invest in employee training because service issues have been ongoing even post-Covid. read more

Tried this place out for brunch when I was in Austin - the place itself is lovely, great ambiance and the decor was really put together. The workers were really nice and we were able to get to our table quickly. I ordered the sweet potato hash (the waitress said it was her favorite). It was decent but I think there was some vinaigrette on it that made it quite tart and difficult to eat. I ended up not being able to finish it unfortunately but I did love the idea of it. I wish the menu itself included all things that would be on the hash because I think the sauce on it is an important point for those ordering it (and just for allergies). Overall, I enjoyed the vibe and the service - I think I would've been happier with another meal option but it is what it is! Went to The Well with the hubby for the second time as a pre-Valentines day dinner. I completely forgot to write a review last time, but I think my thoughts remain the same. The Well is absolutely gorgeous inside and I love that fact that every item is soy free, gluten free, and free of refined sugars. However, the prices are pretty hefty for what you get. My favorites include the Salmon Tartare, Tacos, Coconut curry, Brussels sprouts and the mole. We tried the chicken and salads and though they were too simple for the price. Came back here for brunch and WOW, we were blown away, the food was incredible!!! For starters, we got the golden milk latte and the cappuccino with house made cashew milk, monk fruit and cinnamon, each drink was a 10/10. If I could give it a 100/10 I would!! The milk was so smooth, creamy, and delish. All of the entrees were 12/10 if not more but the real star if we had to pick a favorite was the chilaquiles- the pecan mole is EXCEPTIONAL! The perfect sweetness but smoky flavor profile mixed with a delicious blend of cauliflower, eggs, healthy siete chips and sprouts, YUMM. The BAE toast, which sounds basic, was beyond basic and absolutely delicious. The bacon was the best I've ever had and the bread was a nutty, seedy sourdough that was truly heaven. I wanted to love this place but the food was mediocre and the staff was awful. We came in at 11:30am for an early lunch, the place wasn't busy at all but there was no one at the host stand and servers looked at us like we didn't know what we were doing. I had to walk over to a server and ask if this is self seating because no one was there to seat us. The servers looked so confused and didn't offer to seat us but instead just said "there should be a host to seat you". Btw a server can seat us if the host isn't available, so maybe someone should have just taken us to an available table. Keep in mind this was all happening in front of what looked like a manager sitting in a booth on her computer - also ignoring us. When the host finally got to the podium she looked miserable and as if we were disturbing her by wanting to eat at the restaurant. We finally got sat and looked at the menu which was ok. All the beef is wagyu which is actually not healthy at all but just fancy. Grain fed, fattened up beef to taste better and be more tender. But at least they don't use seed oils or gluten. This is their big seller and I think they ride on that theme a little too much and are lacking in the other areas. Guacamole and tacos were the best, the rest was decent but with the mix of miserable staff and okay food this was not a good experience at all for Austin restaurant standards. read more

The menu was great as it was accommodating to many common allergies/dietary preferences. We ordered the elixir drink, the vegan queso, guacamole, & ceviche. The drink was so refreshing and ginger forward. We loved it! The vegan queso was filled with flavor and spice. We weren't sure about strawberries in the guacamole, but it works! While my husband and I were quickly packing our leftovers after closing was announced, we were targeted by a staff member (short male, dreads, full gauged ears). He began aggressively throwing glasses onto our table and followed us down the stairs to intimidate us as we were leaving. As an Asian woman, it was heartbreaking to realize we were the only ones being targeted this way--the bar was still half-full, yet no other patrons were being rushed or hovered over. The situation peaked when the employee looked me in the face and called me a "fucking c--t" in front of my husband and friends. When we asked for help, the manager's "apology" session was a failure; the employee simply started yelling at us again. Instead of de-escalating, the front door staff slammed the door in our faces to hide him. When I asked for the General Manager's name, I was handed a blank business card--a clear attempt to avoid accountability. I gave the card back, as I won't be silenced by a generic brush-off. I am sharing this because a staff member who uses sexist slurs and physically intimidates women is a major liability. I truly hope management takes this seriously and handles this individual's employment appropriately. Check your security footage from 2:00-2:20 AM; it will confirm every word of this.

Everything was absolutely freaking amazing.. the showstopper was the Black Forest taco. That was by far the most unique thing on the menu. I had never seen anything like that before. Those drinks were also on point. They clarified Margarita was so freaking good. This was such a treat. Thank you Austin taco project for spoiling us so much. Can't wait to be back here.

I feel like they could provide some moist towelettes because the chicken was very greasy, and we had to just pour water on the napkins. Downtown street parking was a struggle, but I found 2/3 of a spot close by that I decided could count as a spot.

I went to the Well for a late lunch around 2:00pm. Hostess seated me outside and left a menu and told me a waitperson would be there shortly. However NO waitperson even attempted to greet me, bring water or take my order. After waiting about 20 minutes I went inside to request a server. Lots of staff and one gust in the restaurant. There was a woman at the takeout bar who said she would get someone. Still no one, the takeout person finally brought a container of water but no glass for the water. She approached me and said they have a new policy they do not wait on guests and I am required to use the bar code that she herself could not find on the table. This did not make sense given the hostess provided a menu! I suggested to her that if there is a policy change the hostess should inform guests. I ask how would I know there policy. Her reply, "you need to ask" Seriously! I proceeded to ask for a manager and was totally ignored. I approached another waitperson and asked for a manager. Finally, the manager showed up. I shared my experience but fully expect the issues will not be addressed. I left without lunch and went down the street, I will not be back. I have been to The Well several times previously and service is typically bad and the quality of the food has gone downhill. I love their concept and hoped they were having some hiccups and management would correct the issues. I am done, they have totally lost focus on quality customer service and quality food. I was there a couple weeks ago and service was bad. Food was ok but the lentils had a very strong vinegar flavor. A manager by the name of Chris I believe, approached me on his own and ask how my meal was. I told him the salmon was good but the lentils had an odd vinegar taste. Chris said they had received complaints specifically about the lentils and they were trying to improve the taste. I suggested that improving the flavor does not mean adding vinegar. It appears given the greatly reduced guests I have experienced and obvious complaints about the quality of food this place is struggling. I can't imagine what goes on in the kitchen or the level of kitchen experience if seasoning is adding vinegar. Management should be monitoring and tasting and changes to the recipes. There are many other options downtown and especially on 2nd Street to have to put up with this place. Beware!! Don't expect good service or quality food but do expect high prices. read more

Very sad to write this. We've both been in the service industry and can certainly sympathize with the hours and nature of the industry, so do know that we are considerate people. I made a birthday reservation for my fiancée and noted it for the staff. We weren't sat in the patio as requested, then were shown our table, facing the bathrooms/kitchen in what was a relatively sparse dining room. We were immediately informed that we were "behind a 16-top and that it would be a while." The four dishes we had specifically come to eat, were all "sold out". Those same dishes were also sold out when we came with our friends months before. Really unfortunate, especially for the birthday girl. Either way, understandable. Our server was really indifferent about the inconveniences, not apologetic nor particularly engaged with us in any way. What especially rubbed us the wrong way was the lack of awareness that we were there for a special occasion (no mention of the birthday, no dessert/candle, and constantly called my fiancée ma'am). We ended an otherwise really special day on a really sad and disappointed note and just hope that the restaurant staff can learn from these mistakes, and hopefully avoid from possibly souring someone else's special day. read more

I came here with a friend just to grab a few appetizers and drinks after hearing so many good things about this place and now I totally understand the hype. The atmosphere is so nice and the decor is gorgeous, very modern and cozy at the same time, it feels like the perfect spot for brunch. We decided to keep it light and ordered just a few appetizers: hummus, falafel and guacamole. Our favorite were the falafels, with a perfect crunchy and good flavor and the hummus. I also got a matcha drink that was refreshing. The service was another highlight for me. Everyone was kind and attentive and the vibe of the place felt relaxed but still like elevated. The only thing I'd mention is that the portions are not huge and the place can definitely feel a little pricey. But overall, the flavors, the place and experience were good. I rarely write reviews unless it moves mountains. And I just had to scream from the highest one about The Well. It is my new favorite lunch spot near my office! I was a bit sad about "She is not Here" closing (tasty drinks, great, friendly staff) so my forlorn delayed my visit to The Well. But Holy Moly, it is a tragedy I didn't visit sooner -- everything I tried is so amazing. They do something magical to salmon, it is cooked to perfection and I will forever crave it. I tried the bone broth, a salad with salmon and their banana overnight oats. All were out of this world. Makes me wonder if I will ever eat anywhere else . Ever. Again. Can't wait to try everything on the menu. And invite anyone along who enjoys healthy, tasty food that is nutritious, fresh and organic. I guarantee if you aren't a fan of healthy food you WILL BE after you try The Well. read more

I come to The Well more often than I look myself in the mirror. I'm a devout follower, who has quite literally dedicated every meal in my life to The Well. The quality is unmatched in the 512. These guys absolutely care about every ingredient that goes into their dishes, smoothies, and coffees, and it's apparent. Never have I come across meals that consistent of such high quality with equal quality in taste. Their patio? The best of the best. Absolutely gorgeous, and comfy at the same dang time. This is one of those order-at-the-counter spots where you pay--and tip--before even tasting your meal. The preset tip options (18, 20 & 22%) feel excessive for a self-service setup. I always wonder if these owners tip at McDonald's or Taco Bell since the concept is identical. The food was decent--I tried the beef tacos, which were flavorful but overpriced at $18 for three tiny portions. My wife's Spinach Pesto Pasta ($19) with added chicken ($14) was good but absurdly expensive for the portion size. Service matched the fast-casual style--minimal and impersonal. It was clear that the chefs put a lot of care and attention into sourcing the best ingredients and preparing them in a way that highlights their natural taste. My favorite dish was the revive bowl and the potato hash. The portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming, and I left feeling satisfied without feeling overly full. When you charge $11 for a juice, it is poor customer service to take a plastic container from the to-go section and slam on the table...maybe a glass or eco-friendly straw next time? Service sucks.
