Located in the 50th and France neighborhood, this hidden gem is off one of the courtyards. It's a lovely restaurant. Between the high ceilings and huge windows, it feels incredibly spacious. It's also full of elements that make it feel full of life--plants, yes, but also a fireplace and fun feather light fixtures. It's oh so chic while also being quite soothing. I enjoyed the music: it was low enough to not interfere with conversation, but full of fun choices. Overall, it was very easy to have a conversation here. The lighting is kept fairly dim, so don't forget your reading glasses if you need them! The food is equally charming and features French classics along with fresh new takes on old favorites. I started with the Bibb salad, which was absolutely gorgeous: the leaves were tender and covered in a creamy and tart vinaigrette, and there were whole parsley leaves that added textural and flavor contrast. They also had a wonderful bread service that is served with radish butter, which is a treat for all the senses. I highly recommend it. For my main, I ordered the tagliolini, a pasta dish with truffle butter, Parmesan, and fresh black truffle. Starchy, creamy, and savory, it is comforting without being stodgy. It was a generous portion, so I had enough to eat for lunch today (until I got peckish later in the evening). For dessert, I got the crème brûlée, and it was one of the best I have had. (Careful, the dish is hot!) It was smooth and rich, full of vanilla, and topped with a flawless layer of crunchy caramelized sugar. Don't miss that one, either. Additional shout-out for the excellent zero proof options. They had a lovely NA kir royale that hit the spot. This is more of a slow food/leisurely dining experience, so definitely let your server know if you are headed to a movie or otherwise time-constrained. They're all very knowledgeable and friendly, but it's more of a Euro-inspired style of service--you may need to flag someone down if you need something, as they're not as likely to interrupt your conversation to check in.

Went for 50th and France's restaurant week and had a good time. Loved the vibes inside and service was good. We got the chicken liver, gnocchi, chicken, and crème brûlée. The gnocchi and chicken were great. The crème brûlée's texture and temperature were kinda off.

We're definitely coming back for dinner! Brunch was already impressive, and you can tell this new spot is quickly finding its rhythm. While they're still smoothing out a few service and timing details, the overall experience makes Therese absolutely worth a visit--especially if you love French cuisine. Portions are generous, and many dishes are perfect for sharing if you're not a big eater. The full bar is a great touch, making it an easy place to enjoy a relaxed meal with friends or family. A wonderful addition to the Edina dining scene--French casual dining done right, with the bonus of being just steps away from covered parking. That convenience is priceless during Minnesota winters!

Excellent food and service. Did a wonderful job designing the space to add warmth. Very experienced staff (our waiter was formerly at Martina). Snow crab lettuce cups are one of my favorite appetizers in the city. Look forward to returning to try more of the menu!

This breakfast burrito is packed full of everything you could ever want including wagyu steak (instead of the traditional bacon or sausage, so it's not greasy at all), avocado, eggs, potatoes, and cheese. It even came with a side salad and salsa to dip it in! For $15-16 it was a large portion and easily was 2 meals. I ordered online for pickup and it was ready quickly at the counter but the restaurant also looked cute inside so I would be interested in stopping in for a meal sometime too! They also have a coffee bar (pistachio latte was good) and free indoor parking for restaurant customers).

The place was packed, but a kind gentlemen moved over so we could have two seats at the classy bar. With service from the empathetic Patrick and the charming Alicia, we felt at home even though we had just moved to Minneapolis. Waterbury's menu has an array of interesting choices. My spouse and I split a Caesar Salad. She ordered the Crispy Tuna Tacos which are always fantastic. I devoured the Blackened Shrimp. The dish had a piquancy that added the perfect amount of kick. I loved it. With jazz on Wednesday evenings and unique menu specials, the Waterbury will grow sick of my face. It's a great restaurant.

We had no idea where to go, but heard to go down an alleyway behind up-down and then saw a random door that we had no idea was the entrance until another group came over! We knocked and they slid the door hole open to speak, it was so fun! Felt like a real speakeasy. Once we were in, we were seated in the back. There was an hour and 1/2 limit, but that was plenty of time for us to have a drink. I ordered the Me Espresso and my husband ordered the special of the day, which was a scotch with a special twist. Both were delicious! Definitely a little pricier, but the atmosphere made up for the cost. Overall I would definitely recommend! Next time we may wait for a booth to be served out of a window in the wall, did not know about that until we got there! Such a fun touch.

The waiter was nice, but I'm not sure if he was new. He didn't know what the specials were. He didn't know what the wine was. It says on the menu, red or white and he didn't know what either brand was or the food specials on the menu. sometimes it took a while for him to come over because he was chatting up another booth behind us. We ordered the chicken that was on the menu and it was a very small piece of chicken and it was supposed to come with broccolini and there was three skinny little stalks, and there was some kind of purée underneath it. Not sure if that was potatoes or what, but the chicken had a very good flavor. It was just very small. That's my complaint on that so we ended up ordering the sweet potato fries and that was a good portion and very good. I would definitely order those again. There is parking behind the building, but you need a parking pass to park there.

It had a 1920's art deco vibe which I love. We had a reservation but the host seemed to struggle to find it, almost even questioning the validity of it even though I showed her proof they texted confirmation. Thankfully they gave us a table right away anyways. The restaurant is attached to a theatre so it gets really busy prior to showtimes and the service becomes slow or non existent. At one point it even seemed that they forgot about us and the manger noticed so she made sure to get our food to us. The server later apologized and was very kind but I couldn't help but notice she took the time to chit chat with coworkers while we waited. When the theatre performance started it loudly traveled into the restaraunt through the walls. While it didn't bother me I can see how this may bother others. I'm actually glad we went because we learned about the theatre and would like to attend a show sometime. I just wouldn't recommend going to the restaraunt unless you are seeing a show there.

Con - I really don't like looking at a menu from a QR code on my phone. Wish I would've received an actual menu. Were out of the moscato I was craving. I would LOVE to come back for that pasta!!

Nightingale was packed, but fortunately, once two patrons saw my face from the bar, they quickly paid their bill and left. My face often compels people to vacate crowded establishments in Minneapolis, and we often find seats. After grabbing the two seats, we ordered wine and a wonderful Amaro-based cocktail. Jules was our bartender/server, and although he was crazy busy, he found time to be gracious to us. We ordered the meatball appetizer, halibut, and the Nightingale hamburger. My halibut was sublime, cooked perfectly, and it wasn't drowned in sauce. Bravo! The meatballs were tender and delicious, but the hamburger was not memorable. It was good, not great. Despite all the accolades above, when the bill came, I was charged two dollars after requesting a cucumber slice for my Pimms Cup. Perhaps the source of this pettiness came from the kitchen, but it wasn't smart, because the $2.00 charge placed a shroud over my experience. The bill was $125, and because of the petty two-buck charge, I only left a $25 tip. I was going to leave a $30 tip. I will sadly remember those 2 bucks forever. It was a myopic move and a passive-aggressive way to handle my request. In my birthplace home of NYC, a bartender would have said, "Getting a cucumber slice is a pain in the rear, would you mind skipping it?" My response, "Sure, it's not a big deal."

The service was genuinely friendly and pleasant throughout our visit, which went a long way. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the setting. I tried the NY Strip special, which was fine but nothing memorable - exactly what you'd expect, no more, no less. The oysters were disappointing for the price point; the quality just wasn't there. The mushroom bruschetta similarly underwhelmed - it felt like it was missing something to make it stand out. The bright spot? The drinks were solid and well-crafted. I wanted to rate this higher based on the atmosphere and service alone, but at the end of the day, the food has to deliver. With so many great options in Minneapolis, Nightingale needs to step up its culinary game to match its lovely setting. I'd consider returning for drinks, but probably not for dinner.
