Food tasted great (Volcano Chicken), wasn't as spicy as I expected but the temperature was very hot so still seemed to burn my mouth. Went around lunch time so it definitely seemed busy and food took a while to get. Saw a lot of people or regulars call in advance so just FYI. read more

Great food! The owner is always here, and he brings your food out to you. He always remembers us. Their beef is tri tip, and it is amazing. The chicken is flavorful, the volcano shrimp is perfectly sweet and spicy, and the coconut shrimp is great. Service is fast, but you can tell it is all cooked to order. For a "fast food" type place, this is very good! Very tasty with very large portions. The meat is good quality and the price is pretty reasonable. It's alittle slow for a fast food place but well worth it. The parking is not so plentiful but usually you can find a spot pretty quickly. read more

I ordered Volcano Shrimp, but I got Volcano Chicken. This happened twice. So i am the Teryaki conoisseur. I have to say that this place is amazing. The atmosphere is very mellow, The combination of blue and red is great. It feels very relaxed. The chairs are pretty comfy and the lighting is not too bright. The food is incredibly juicy with tender chicken and thick strips of beef . Its more like carne asada instead of typical teryaki places that give you thin philly steak style pieces. Their rice is hot, sticky and moist unlike my previous experience at Flame Broiler in which the rice was dry and felt like chewing on cardboard. The owner is a great guy and will make you wanna come back. So if u want a great teryaki bowl or plate, made fresh, for a very affordable price, then swing by Tikiyaki. You will not be dissapointed. This place is awesome! I eat here a few times a week. All of their food is delicious. Flame broiler doesn't even compare. The owner that works there is always friendly and talkative. It makes it fun to go in and eat your food there. I would recommend the tropical chicken (similar to orange chicken) or the chicken and beef combos. The volcano shrimp is another good choice. The price is great for the quality of the food. They even have some $5 combos. One of the best things about this place is are the sauces. They have some spicy teriyaki and and volcano sauces that put their food over the top. Overall I would definitely recommend trying it. I think everyone gets hooked after one bite. read more

The food is good but the customer service is really crappy. My friend and I were the only ones in there and they took 20 minutes. They were up front working on other stuff and then went to do our food. I'm sorry, but when you have customers waiting you can stop what your doing and get there order. There was no one else in the back cooking the food. Also, after I ordered I was standing waiting and the guy said "have a seat mam it'll be awhile." Tikiyaki is the best chicken bowl place in the OC. Beats Ninjas With Appetite. Every other chicken bowl place around is robbing you. At Tikiyaki, it feels like you are robbing the place. The portions are generous and the taste quality does not disappoint ever! Unfortunately, people mistake the owner's stern appearance as his actual demeanor. He is a business owner who works the counter as he bounces around the kitchen and customer floor, all while taking orders by phone. If I worked half that hard, I'd probably be employee of the year every year. The Tiki's flames burns the Ninjas down due to flavor balance. The moment you taste Ninjas With Appetite's teriyaki, you are kicked in the mouth with overwhelming flavor. At first bite, its overly appreciated, but its flavor potency is just too strong. I don't like getting kicked in the mouth... Tikiyaki sells CHICKEN Teriyaki; NWA sells Teriyaki chunks. If you want more flavor with your Tikiyaki, pour some more. You cannot take teriyaki off your NWA bowl without looking like a weirdo, even if justified. Needless to say, NWA is a top chicken bowl establishment, but it cannot beat the value and balance of Tikiyaki. Maybe in due time boys. Tikiyaki has a following that follows the value, the owner, and the Habanero Sauce. read more
