Tikiyaki is probably one of the best teriyaki places I've known and frequent. I'm a huge fan of all their menu items. Do you like dishes with a bit of heat? Then you HAVE to try the volcano shrimp and ask for some extra habanero sauce. Those two items are a match made in heaven. I've tried their teriyaki chicken, their beef and simply can not find another place that offers such tender cuts of meat with just the right amount of sweetness and seasoning. This place rocks! They give you so much meat in the bowls! It's truly a carnivores dream here. They cook it fresh to order. The steak and chicken are both equally as good which is why I usually go with the bowl that is half and half. Much higher quality meat than waba or flame broiler. Daughter orders two chicken teriyaki bowls and it took them 45 minutes to make them. Food is good priced ok but don't go there unless you want to wait a very long time for your food. I called to complain about the long wait and the lady first said she could not hear me several times so I yelled and I got the idea she was just saying that cause she didn't want to hear what I had to say. She finally answered me and said yes white meat takes 45 minutes. The place wasn't even that busy. They don't give you your order based on when you came in. I like Matiki island grill on Lincoln and beach better. Very poor seating and not so great parking. If she'd had handled my complaint in a respectful way I would of overlooked some of the things I didn't like. read more

I stopped by the Argentinian restaurant next door, but they were closed. I ordered the chicken and steak combo plate with half veggies and rice. I couldn't believe how much food was served for $8 and it was fresh and delicious. Went here just to try the volcano shrimp ... It was so/so didn't even finish my bowl because midway through my meal the sauce started to get dry and have a strange after taste. I was tempted to order the tropical orange chicken but after not being so pleased with my first selection, I passed. I most likely won't be returning. My favorite is their Volcano Chicken with habenaro (due to jalapenos no longer landing easy on my tummy). Believe it or not, the habenaro sauce is mild, about 5 out of 10. Make a bowl with half brown rice & half veggies and your favorite tri-tip teriyaki or orange chicken, or shrimp, and ALL delicious, of course! Went here b/c of all the good reviews by yelpers. Food was tasty and fresh. Teriyaki sauce was great. What puts them over the top is the great customer service. I'm assuming the guy at the counter was the owner. He really paid attention to the fact that I had my 2 little kids with me. Gave us 2 water cups without charge and told us we could put any drink in it. Also gave us 2 extra bowls without asking. Perfect! Other places always charge for my lil ones who can't really eat or drink much. Taste-wise, better than FlameBroiler. Their $5 bowl specials of teriyaki or orange chicken with a drink can't be beat! So ive been wanting to try this place so i went on a Saturday and i was kinda confused because they say they close at 9 and i got there at 8:30. Nevertheless i came on the following tuesday and Customer service was great. I was greeted by the owner who actually gave me a free drink just cuz it was my first time idk if he usually does that or he was just being nice. I told him about the confusion and he changed it on yelp on the spot and assured me that it should update in a couple of hours. He also Guaranteed that I would love the food. The food was ok. I ordered teriyaki chicken bowl and volcano shrimp. The teriyaki chicken was not so good but the volcano shrimp was good Lol. The Volcano Shrimp is more sweet than spicy. It had a similar taste to this sweet and spicy sauce that you can buy from an Asian market. For the price, I guess you can't really complain though. read more

Stopped by here on a whim to try it out and they have really good teriyaki beef here. It's made from skirt steak and the sauce isn't too sweet, which is a big plus. The teriyaki short ribs are what I always order however. They are really good. If you enjoy flanken short ribs, you simply cannot go wrong with these. It's in a small strip mall so you have to be looking for it or you might miss it. It's a pretty small place as well and is well-suited for takeout/to go orders. read more

There food is always fresh and the quality is unsurpassed. You will not find a better chicken, beef or shrimp bowl anywhere! Mark the owner is wonderful, he knows his customers by name and their usual order.
