I would have loved to try all the menu items, but alas I can only eat so much in one sitting. I ended up trying one of their daily menu options. It was scrambled eggs with fried oysters on top, a side salad, and fried potatoes. I picked a winner with this dish! The staff is amazing. Our server was friendly. Was looking for a place to have brunch over the weekend and found this gem! We tried to arrive around 10:30am since we've heard this place gets packed quickly especially during the weekend. We placed our name on the wait list and for a table of 3 we had to wait 30 mins for a table. I ordered an Americano Coffee. The only nondairy milk choice they had was soy milk so decided to go with that. I absolutely loved the small chocolate chip cookie that was served with the coffee. It was such a warm gesture and tasted very good with the coffee! The Americano was pretty good and not even bitter on its own. I also ordered the omelette. It has cheese and mushrooms inside and came with a side of salad, roasted potatoes and 2 wedges of grapefruit. I really enjoyed the omelette. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly! I did add hot sauce on the side but the omelette was honestly seasoned so well it didn't need anything extra. The potatoes were nice and crispy on out the outside and soft on the inside and also seasoned very well! The salad was just like any other salad. And the grape fruit wedges were a great addition. The service was fantastic! They came and checked on us frequently refilling up the water and seeing if we needed anything. The waitress was super sweet and friendly! One of the busier places not in Pike Place Market that we've been to. We learned our lesson the first time and got a reservation for brunch. Only one left was 9:30 but we had to take it. We started with a coffee ole and a nutty Irishman to start which were obviously (I guess?) alcoholic coffees. One came with Bailey's the other with rum and Kahlua, both with a full French press of coffee. It was great obviously because who doesn't need a little kick to start the weekend (right?) We then ordered two Dutch babies because they are perfect here and you rarely ever see them so of course. One sweet which was a pumpkin cream cheese and the savory which had pancetta and provolone. They took a while (which they always will) and they were perfect. Light, fluffy, and both came with syrup which was even better for the savory one. This is one of my favorite brunch spots in Seattle. Food is amazing and creative. Service is always top notch. So why the 3 star? One reason. Their reservation system....So horrible. Imagine being a newcomer, wanting to try it but the next available seating being 4 months out. Makes no sense. Most in demand restaurants/bars allow you to book a table as far as a month out, some only as far as 2 weeks out. A rolling 30 day system would make this restaurant much more accessible, especially since there are no walk-ins. read more

We showed up 10mins before it opened and got seated right away, the ambiance was great. However the food did not live up to expectations, we got the French toast and BLT eggs benedict. The French toast came semi warm and was dry in the middle and if they actually used brioche bread, it was old or not good brioche bread. The eggs Benedict was on an English muffin that was so tough I could barely cut it. The flavors were nothing special either. The coffee was also subpar. Luckily it was just me, so I got seated really quick. The cafe is really small. But it's perfect size for a cafe. I was seated at the bar which I always enjoy because I'm eating by myself. I'm writing this at 11:50 AM coming out of a 10:30 AM reservation to celebrate a birthday and new pregnancy. You would have thought we stayed for 3 hours with the service we got. Our waitress checked on us 4x in the first 10 minutes and scolded us on the 4th for not being ready to order food (we already ordered coffee) - I had to check my watch because I couldn't believe it. After ordering we she didn't come by once to check on us until the meal was over. Once complete she hassled us to leave and again, I had to check my watch to see if it was as early as it thought it was. Service is pretty slow but the food is delicious. The menu does change every weekend but you must try a Dutch baby! We found this spot with a raving review and tasty looking food, we decided to check it out. It looked pretty busy from the outside, and busy it was...seems like a super popular spot. They have a bar at the entrance, nice, fully stacked bar. The dining area was pretty packed, and all the empty tables were all reserved already. We didn't have a reservation, but luckily for us, they had a few seats left at the bar counter. We saw one table getting Dutch Baby with blueberry in it. We decided we will get that for dessert. For the main, we went with Baked Eggs. Our server told us that our order of Baked Eggs and Dutch Baby both will take a while. We were ok with that. The server also asked if we wanted them out at the same time, or the savory one first and then the sweet one. We asked for the savory one first. Baked Eggs came in the cast iron skillet not big but not too small, and it was piping hot! It had loads of fresh veggies, all nicely cut up. It was cooked to perfection, we really enjoyed it! When we were almost done with the savory one, the sweet Dutch Baby came out. Their timing was incredible! It came in the iron skillet that was the same size as the Baked Egg. I make a HUGE deal out of my birthdays, I celebrate as much as I can and in this case, for the entire weekend, so naturally I searched for days before deciding on Tilikum Place Cafe for my first BD meal (Brunch). The place is easy to find, and for a Friday morning it was pretty busy, well... it is a small place also, so I recommend you make reservations no matter the time of day you are planning to go. We sat at the counter and quickly ordered some coffee which was absolute perfection. I liked the decor, it has an European vibe, and I liked being able to see the cooks doing their thing while we waited for our food. My husband ordered the French Onion Soup (absolute perfection), while we waited for my Baked Eggs and his Savory Dutch Baby. The food took pretty long, more than the 25 minutes they tell you you have to allow for the Dutch Baby, but we didn't mind and that is not why I am not giving them 5 starts. The reason is because my eggs were completely overcooked! The yolks were chalky they were soooo well done. That made me sad. The dutch baby was good, kudos to the waiter who recommended we add hot sauce AND syrup to the Dutch Baby... sounded weird but it was actually really good. In summary, I want to go back to Tilikum Place Cafe, but when I do, I would not order those 2 dishes again. After the meal I wanted to order a second coffee to go, but they don't do "to-go". I understand the reasons why they don't considering how busy they are, but that made me sad too. 4 starts is more than fair. read more

Holy smokes!!! This place is off the chain!! We got take out and went to eat outside near the Space Needle. I have to say this is probably the best quiche I've ever had. The crust was perfect, and the quiche was unbelievably flavorful. The quiche came with a salad, which was super fresh, and the dressing was tasty. At $12, I definitely thought it was worth the price. I was full and extremely satisfied after devouring the quiche and salad. Apparently the menu changes quite frequently, so there is always a variety of things to try here. Sadly I'm only visiting Seattle so I won't be able to try more things on the menu (for now, unless I visit again!). The TPC Breakfast Plate was pretty good! It was your standard plate of breakfast food, but kicked up a notch. Everything had great flavors and was fresh. The Savory Dutch Baby had duck confit, balsamic onions, apples, and sage. I had done research before coming in to TPC, and everyone said this was a must try, but I was hesitant because I am not a big fan of goat cheese. That being said, I decided to go for it. It was warm and fluffy and tasted great with some syrup! However, the goat cheese was really prevalent and I did not enjoy it as much as I would have liked. This was totally my fault and I should've just ordered it without the goat cheese. But even with the goat cheese, I completely understand why people love dutch babies! Cute spot and no wait. Went here for brunch on a Saturday and there were quite a few tables open. Had the TPC breakfast plate and the classic Dutch baby. The TPC plate was solid and the bacon was perfectly crispy. The bread is super toasted and the egg helps to moisten it for chewing. The sausage patty had great flavors and the potatoes were nicely seasoned. Sadly, The classic Dutch baby was on the verge of being inedible for my husband and I. I would compare the taste to that of a microwaved egg. I've had Dutch babies before and they have been delectable. The texture and egginess of this one left us feeling nauseated and we barely ate half of it. Maybe the savory and berry one are better? The dutch pancake was blackberry and mascarpone which was not as sweet as I thought it would be. They give you syrup on the side but you do not need it. I would give it a 3.5/5. I wasn't in love but I enjoyed it. SERVICE This is where I had a rollercoaster. They sat me down immediately but took a while to take my order. I ordered the cappuccino and asked for sugar and it took forever to come. When i reminded her she said "oh yeah" which rubbed me the wrong way but, because I mentioned the coffee was cold she exchanged it! Also, the wrong dutch pancake came out (savory) but it has meat. I told them and they immediately switched it and she was extremely apologetic and they took it off the bill which, I was not expecting. You can tell they genuinely felt bad because I was there for so long. So although the experience was rocky, the service did make me feel better.
