Besides, my boyfriend was a customer of them already so they were highly recommended. In any car buying situation, it is often very stressful and time consuming. Timmons made this such an easy experience and made it less stressful even thought it was a long process. My appointment was scheduled with Rusty...the Gentle Ginger Giant!!! He was great! He was super chill and not pushy at all. He cared about what was most important to me. He didn't force me into anything and was very patient. Definitely a 5 plus. I've been shopping for a new car for my teenage daughter for the last month and have gone many places. ( some just blew us off). I called Timmons based on their online specials. All my questions were answered over the phone. No bs. Filled out an online application and spoke to the finance dept Mike C before arriving and everyone was awesome and it was what he said it was. This review is for their Service Department: I love my Subaru. I've owned it since 2008. It's been paid off for a decade. In the last 11 years, it's brought 2 of my kids home safely from the hospital, gone through countless winter road trips through the snow in Yosemite, and summer drives up PCH to places like Big Sur and Northern CA. You can say I'm sentimental about this car, and I hope to keep it for as long as possible, even as our family is getting bigger, and we have already outgrown this car with the arrival of our 3rd child earlier this year. Earlier today I took my car to Timmons Subaru for the Takata airbag recall. Unfortunately, the repair left my dashboard completely ruined, with various bits missing, tool marks, cracks, and splits throughout. Of course, seeing these damages as I was driving home made me mad, upset and heartbroken even though its "just a car". Silly I know. I will post a update if they respond. 7/31 Update: +3 stars to my previous review. I just spoke to the service manager this morning. Apparently there was some miscommunication yesterday. They currently have a new dashboard on order and offered to repair it sometime next week, which I will follow-up with another update. 8/4 Update: Timmons Subaru delivered. New dashboard installed. My wife and I had a wonderful experience buying our new car from Timmons Subaru. We inquired online about a 2024 Outback Limited that was advertised on Timmons' website. Dylan Mullaney (Sales Consultant) promptly responded to our inquiry and provided us with the additional information we requested. Since we did not live close to the dealership, Dylan confirmed that the vehicle was still in stock and sent us the CARFAX so we could review it ahead of time. We setup a time to meet the following morning to see the car. We arrived before the dealership opened and Dylan was there to meet us. He showed us the vehicle and let us test drive it. He was very knowledgeable about the Subaru lineup of cars and spent a lot of time explaining the features on the 2024 Outback. Once we made the decision to purchase the car, Dylan was respectful of the limited time we had to get the process completed and rounded up everything included in the deal. After the car accident that totaled my Patriot (other driver's fault, not mine), and after tending to the physical injuries, I received the insurance money and began my search for a used vehicle. I'd hoped to find one in good condition, around the same year and mileage as my done-for-car. I had a hell of a time even coming close to what I used to have. I loved everything about it and now it was gone. I tried the online game first then went from dealership to dealership checking out this car and that, and meeting salesperson after salesperson. To be fair, if you've shopped for a car recently, you know what the availability is like, not to mention the dreaded markups! My experience ranged from meeting sales staff who'd stop me mid-sentence to lament that they had nothing available for me, to meeting those who were flat out rude (they'd see that none of their used cars matched my wants and drop me like a hot potato). On occasion I'd meet someone truly interested in helping me find my next "forever-car". And that's how I met HENRY PARK. (My last name is Parks, no relation!) Full disclosure, I'd done some research online and discovered Subaru's fantastic safety rating (which, if you've been in an accident recently, puts that brand at the top of your list). He showed me some really great prospects and showed me some new cars that I could definitely get into. Henry asked me questions so that he could assess what model might suit me best. He has a friendly personality and the most jovial laugh; we found plenty of stuff about which to banter. He actually made the experience enjoyable. I ended up ordering a 2023 SUBARU CROSSTREK with all the bells and whistles. (I can whistle any tune, as long as I've hydrated well enough throughout the day; sorry, that's beside the point.) The car even got built a little ahead of schedule (I was glad to give my mother back her loaner car. Thanks mom!) This has been the worst car experience I've had. I bought a brand new 2024 crosstrek car and then two days later it stalled on me. The day before it stalled (the day after I drove it off the lot), multiple warning lights started beeping uncontrollably while I was on the freeway, so I pulled off the freeway. We called the dealership and told me what was going on and the started "it's probably just a fuse, so it's ok to drive. Just bring it in when you can". Fortunately, I did make it home that day. Day 3 of having the car, we drove to the dealership so service could take a look at it but we were unaware that they aren't there on Sunday's. The team member at the dealership said again, "It's ok to drive, just bring it back tomorrow" without even checking the car. While driving back home, the car stalled on us. We called starlink roadside service so they could tow the car back to our place since service was closed on Sundays. On Monday, we finally get it towed to the dealership to see what's going on with my brand new car. When I get there the service person states that they are slammed with the other cars and "don't know when they will get to mine." This really frustrated me being that my car was 3 days old and I would think that they would've want to prioritize mine due to the current situation, but that was not that case. Furthermore, he stated that he could've give me a rental car until the diagnosed the car, which would probably take a few days because they are so busy. Now it's been a week since I took my brand new crosstrek there, they had to bring in a specialist to try to figure out what is going on with the car. I am told they have no idea when they will have it fixed. I am now questioning if getting this car back is worth it because I'm honestly nervous to drive it now. The dealership, nor Subaru, has not offered me any good customer service after I got my car. It seems like nobody's wants to take responsibility for what is going on. I paid for a brand new car and drove it for 2 days. I just can't believe it. read more

I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever again bring my car in for service here. They are understaffed, and their phone system is the MOST ANNOYING in all of God's creation. It literally took days for my service person, Chris Price to get back to me. They won't let anyone else handle your case once a person is assigned to it. Timmon's should be ashamed. Once I finally got Chris on the phone (he never called me back, btw I had to make multiple calls this morning on top of texting and emailing through their website), he looked at my file, finally remembered the situation, said that parts would have to be ordered and it would be an additional four days before they could get the work done. Bye-bye Timmons. Sorry I have to take it 1/10th of a mile north on Cherry to Performance Plus Automotive who will do the same work for $400 less. You've lost a customer for life. read more

How many dealerships will actively work to save you money on service? Not many. I was in for a 60k mile service and the service rep noticed that I already had it done! They easily could have charged me for the work, but didn't. I like that they value long term relationships with customers. Something I appreciate. read more

Kudos to Jessica Komai for being an excellent Sales Manager. She made the whole purchasing process very simple, allowing me to walk in, test drive, and take the car home all in ~2 hours. Typically, purchasing a car is a rather difficult process, with sales trying to tweak their words here and there, but Jessica is straight forward. "here's full details on how much you'll be paying, no hidden fees". The price I was offered here was lower than all the surrounding subaru dealers (glendale, sherman oaks, etc). After reading so many positive reviews, I'm puzzled as to why my experience was the opposite of positive. Went in for a bad tire and told there was no fixing it, needed to be replaced. No big deal, should be nice and easy. I was told it needed to be ordered, again no problem. I took a half day off from work only to call just before closing to inquire about the car and found out they completely forgot my car was there. Good thing I made the call otherwise my car would of been locked away overnight and a second day of work would of been missed. They quickly rushed me in, threw the tire on and was sent on my way. I was clearly not happy, they were very apologetic, That could of been the end however I received a call the next day and was offered a complimentary detail. I was asked to specifically reach out to the tech as he wanted to make the situation better and set it up himself. Ok. Approximately a month later I called, as asked, and left a message for the tech. I received a text a few days later asking if I was inquiring about the detail. I responded to the text within the hour and confirmed only to never hear back. After almost two weeks I sent a text asking why all the ghosting and I have yet to receive a response. Wow. Not sure what caused this HUGE miscommunication. This is our second Subaru and was hoping that Timmons would be our go to for future needs but now shopping around to neighborhood dealers. read more

Careful when getting service done here. Bought an outback and after 6 months the battery kept going dead. Took it here for warranty work and the service department said nothing was wrong then I asked "well every 4 days now I have to jump start it so the battery is bad". They said no it wasn't but they did not know i have the tools at home to test batteries and it was bad, even showed them the pictures. Service writer could have cared less. Then I brought up the known issue with the battery and gave them the TSB number that SUBARU OF AMERICA gave me saying my care qualifies and the dealer told me it's not covered. Took it to McKenna Subaru battery was diagnosed bad and replace with the upgrade battery and cables in 45 minutes. It was not that hard of a repair and should not have been that difficult of an experience. They will probably respond with some corporate answer but the service at McKenna was way better. read more

My bro and I went to Timmons for the blue outback wilderness. Once we arrived we met Selmen (may have misspelled name) who had the specific car parked upfront for us. We met RC who seems to be his manager. Seaman showed and talked to us about all the exterior and interior features before going for the test drive. Showed us the different safety and driving features during the test drive. We both drive the car. He was very knowledgeable. We wanted the car. Selmen always very helpful in getting all the info needed in our trade in. RC got us more than fair price for our trade in. My brother got his new blue outback wilderness for the price he wanted. Got all the extra warranty he wanted, no worries for next 8 year 120k mikes. Test drive, trade in, finance, and all we were in and out in 1 hour. Highly recommend Timmons. George Laloyan helped me purchase my car over the phone and dealt with my husband because as a female, I don't like to deal with car dealerships. George and the whole team made the whole transition just perfect and easy. Yes, it takes a lot of time to buy a car but with a baby they were very accommodating in getting everything going so we can be out the door as soon as possible. The service was beyond my expectation! I pulled up on Saturday around closing time. I had no intention of buying the new 2022 WRX but I spent the day working on the house painting and working on an old car. I was wearing flip flops and covered in paint and car grime. It was near closing time but my son and I decided to check out the new WRXs that we saw driving past the other day. After a few minutes of gawking at the car Russell C came out to us and apologized that nobody had come and seen us and that they were just working on finishing finances but were sort of closed. Russell spoke to us for a while and I got some really great vibes. Russ was friendly and honest and even asked us if we wanted a test drive. It's really hard for me to express how comfortable and at home I felt working with Russell. At any rate we test drove the 2022 WRX and we were absolutely in love and had to have it. Since the dealership was closing shortly Russell told me he would work the numbers and message and call me in the morning. Now I want to stress there was ZERO pressure and our conversations were very pleasant. In the morning Russell called me and sent me emails with the numbers, At this point the numbers were great and because I am a repeat customer they were even more inclined to offer me a better deal, an amazing deal I couldn't turn away from. I had some issues with my trade and I asked for me and in a few minutes Russell got back to me with and said my counter offer was acceptable. At this point I packed up my things for my trade in and headed to the dealership When I got to the dealership my car was already in the process of getting detailed and ready for my pickup. I only waited about 5 minutes and I was able to see Abay, the finance manager and we immediately began working on all the fun finance paperwork you normally go through with the finance guy. Working with Abay was an absolute pleasure, at this point my experience with Russell was already the best experience at a dealership I have ever had and Abay was just icing on the cake. Abay was not only friendly and very forthcoming but we found out we had a million things in common. Not only was the business transaction very quick and time efficient but out conversation was quite entertaining and informative. My son even said that Abay is just another version of me. I could go on and on about what we talked about but I want to keep this about the business transaction since the review is getting quite long. After all was said and done as I was packing up my things getting ready to leave Russell actually had something for me ( I wont share here) but after the deal was done Russell went the extra mile and gave me a few free things that were actually useful and I was completely floored. I have bought tens of cars through my lifetime as I am an avid car fanatic. This weekend was truly the best experience I have ever had at an automobile dealership. Not only was it a great experience but it was also very time efficient i don't even think I spent 2 hours there. The best thing is that when I showed up all ratty the first day I was still treated with dignity and respect which is something I rarely see in dealerships. The deal I got was so good that I don't think I will ever buy a Subaru from another dealership again. I highly recommend going to Timmons Subaru, I would recommend that you find a day where Russell and Abay are both working and make sure you are working with these two gentlemen. For the record the last two cars i bought from them were a 2007 Jetta GLI and a 2010 Subaru WRX, You can be rest assured that the next Subaru I will buy will be from them. They really took care of me and even 24 hours later I am still happy with the experience. As far as the 2022 WRX Premium I bought, well I adore it.
