For years, this TJ Maxx location has been unpredictable, and I'm not just talking about the finds. I recently stopped in for some last-minute Christmas shopping, and the experience was frustrating. I waited nearly 10 minutes for assistance in the jewelry department, which unfortunately seems to be a recurring issue here. On a previous visit a few weeks ago, several of us were waiting to see items in the jewelry case. When a cashier came over and saw customers scattered around the showcases, she said something along the lines of, "I don't know who's next -- y'all figure it out." That response added unnecessary confusion and didn't feel very customer-focused. TJ Maxx can be hit or miss, but at this location, the inconsistency in service has made shopping more stressful than it should be. read more

This is not the best TJ Maxx that I've ever visited, and admit it; we all have visited at least once. Whether it's a bargain you're looking for or just passing time, this location has a pretty good selection of Christmas goods. I was looking for a few stocking stuffers today and found tons of things from pads of papers, to journals and pens to fun games for kids and even pet toys. The service was very nice but the store is really quite a mess and relatively small. It'll do in a pinch but it's not my favorite! read more

Pretty much your usual TJ Maxx -- tons of variety and plenty of great finds. They have different sections full of everything from home goods to clothing, beauty products, hair care, creams, hats, scarves, pet items.. There's always something worth browsing through. The staff have always been nice each time I've visited. Parking is plentiful and free, since the store is located in a strip mall, which makes stopping by very convenient. read more

On the small side for one of these stores. No security guard at least but such a small selection I didn't find anything in particular I needed. I was gonna get a charger cord for my phone but only cause the last one from Ross around the corner stopped working so I don't trust it now. Been coming to this location for the past 3 years and weekly for the past year. Certified Maxxinista here. They have a lot of variety especially Korean skincare! Love that you can bring your dogs in the store nationwide! Great way to socialize your shelter doggies. The past few months they've been understaffed. I try to come on my work from home days but learned to go in the morning. Weekday afternoon is still an hour wait. One time I waited 90 min. Today (Friday 7/19/24 1PM) I waited 30 min with my $60 worth of goods in my cart and only moved 4 people up. I got in line where the dodger and clippers tumbler and figurines are located. I left when I got at the phone cases. I stepped out of line and returned my items to the shelves. If there's a 50 person line, they need to stop asking customers to sign up for credit cards. I'm writing this review for Jessica. She is such a fun attitude and high spirited employee! Her energy was so welcoming and upbeat. I originally wasn't a fan of this location because it doesn't have the best selection of items, and one time the cashier just reached over the terminal and was pushing buttons for me. Which was uncomfortable because I didn't end up getting the receipt since she was choosing the options for me without notice. This location needs more employees like Jessica! read more

I came here to buy a belt , socks, and undies on this visit and found everything ok but the checkout line was super long ! They had an adequate number of cashiers though and the line moved quickly ! I had to knock them down one star though because they tried the hard sell on the TJ Maxx Credit Card . I told the cashier nicely once no thank you and they kept bugging me about it. Sadly, while this store is usually well stocked, the lines are almost always too long with only a few registers open and several of the cashiers take FOREVER to ring customers up. It's pathetic. The managers know it and they do nothing! Several times I've had to ask them to open more registers. Corporate should seriously consider making some staffing changes. read more

This location used to have a great contemporary collection and now it's one small rack in the front. My biggest issue is how disgusting the dressing rooms are. I wish I took a picture of what I saw today. The first stall I walked into looked like it had smears of blood all over the wall, and the next dressing room stall had pantry liner stickers all over the walls. The floors in the dressing rooms are also always filthy and covered with dirt and dust. Stomach churning and disgusting! read more

a negative experience I had with an employee during my visit to the TJ Maxx store located at this location on May 14, 2025, between 12:30 and 12:40 PM. While shopping in the women's shoe section (sizes 8-8 1/2), I was navigating the aisle with my cart. There were shoes scattered on the floor and a small chair partially blocking the walkway, which I carefully moved slightly to make room. Another customer was also present in the aisle at the time. As I approached the end of the aisle, an employee wearing glasses and what appeared to be light brown or khaki pants or shorts entered the aisle abruptly and, in a noticeably hostile tone, loudly said: "I'm going to need ya'll to stop coming down this aisle with ya'll carts. Ya'll see I'm working on this aisle!" I calmly responded, "You weren't working in this aisle when I walked through it," to which she replied rudely, "Yes I was," and continued to mumble under her breath in an unprofessional manner. I found her behavior completely unacceptable. First and foremost, the physical condition of the aisle--with a chair and loose shoes--posed a clear safety hazard. Secondly, I am a paying customer who expects basic courtesy and professionalism. If the aisle was temporarily restricted due to restocking or maintenance, there should have been clear signage or a physical barrier indicating that. I am both disappointed and disheartened by this experience. Customer service plays a vital role in retail, and such conduct reflects poorly on your brand and its standards. A situation like this warrants attention, retraining, and accountability. If this employee is unhappy or disengaged in her role, perhaps it's time to allow someone more service-oriented to take her place. read more

This particular tjmaxx is the SLOWEST CHECKOUT! I have seen cashiers walking away from the register with a looong line of customers. They don't care to move the line along so plan for at least a 20/30 minute wait just to get to the register. It's ridiculous! read more

What stands out to me about this TJ Maxx is their impressive jewelry section. Pretty designs, some 14 kt gold, and brands like Kendra Scott, Betsey Johnson, Bauble Bar, and Rachel Zoe. You can pay for jewelry separately at the counter. Great customer service, too from the counter employee who said new jewelry comes in every weekday. You can call to ask about something you're specifically looking for. Regular checkout is quick as they have many cash registers open. Great handbag choices, too - Calvin Klein, Steve Madden, Kate Spade, Nine West to name a few. I like their shoe section and find their women's clothes fashionable but not so trendy that they're outdated after one season. Lots of choices, whether you're shopping for yourself ladies or the men or infants in your lives. Check out their large toy area including a Sit N Spin!! My only complaint was they had very few photo frames but instead more home decorations. Wish this was closer to home but I always score with holiday stocking stuffers here. read more

I had a great shopping experience at TJ Maxx and left with a ton of flattering and affordable clothes. Similar to other discount stores, you do have to do some digging, but overall, I felt like the options were great enough that nearly every article of clothing was a good option. The customer service was also really great. I had a wonderful conversation with the person ringing me up. She was funny and personable. It ended the shopping trip on a high note. But the high point of a store with low reviews is there aren't that many people! And parking is super easy as they have a huge lot in front in this mall that's going downhill. I had came on to return an online item and was told they can only give me a store credit because rhe staff could not figure out how to refund my original payment. I had spoken with online customer service and they had said I would not have an issue. When I asked the manager Natasha why it wasn't specified online when purchasing she replied " I don't shop online so I would not know". It's unfortunate that with a manager title you would have someone dismiss customers just to get them out of the line. I do love coming here because they have such a great selection. Some people don't know that there is a food section where you can buy different spices, snacks, olive oil, coffee, and Tea. I come here a lot to look at the unique plates that they have from Turkey. I do food blogging and find unique and beautiful plates to showcase the dishes I make. I love the selection of doggie snacks for decent prices compared to if you went to pet stores. They range from $2.99-$9.99. They have dog blankets, beds, toys, containers, bowls, and more. Their jewelry selection is on point. I bought fine jewelry and costume jewelry for myself and for gifts. I was surprised they even have Gucci. The store is filled with many good items. I especially like getting workout attire and pajama sets. Sometimes I'll find some cool shoes and handbags like Michael Kors, Bagalini, Kate Spade, and Marc Jacobs. The only complaint I would have is that sometimes the manager isn't very friendly. She is not very welcoming like the rest of the employees. read more

We have all been to a TJ Maxx/Marshall's/Ross/Home Goods. This particular TJ Maxx happens to have some pretty decent finds! I try to avoid going to these types of stores during certain hours because of the long long long lines. Especially when I only have one or two things. I wish they had a 5 item or less lane. Anyhow, I took the items I wanted to buy to the cashier and paid using cash. Cruz was my cashier and he was very friendly and pleasant. We completed the transaction and I was about to walk off, but he noticed he miscounted my change and owed me 6 more dollars. What an amazing gesture. I could have walked out and because I did not count the money, I would have never known if he decided to keep it. So, I thank you Cruz for being an honest employee! I went to the Pasadena one on Lake Avenue and I didn't find anything good there but Culver City has some cute stuff. Ugh!!!! I don't frequent the store often but when I do the staff here usually drives me nuts. I don't think they understand the concept of good customer service. The other day when I visited they had one cashier available, two people standing around doing nothing and one of those people was a manager. They didn't even open another register until there were 10 people in line and we had to ask them to do that. Simply the worst! Today I called back to have them place a watch on hold for me. The store closed in half an hour and I told them I would be there in the morning to pick up the watch. They refused put the watch on hold. They claimed that they don't hold anything over night. Really! WTF is the point of holding an item then? I found some nice stuff this time around . I just want to say how displeased I am. I went in tonight to return a bed sheet set that I had purchased a week ago for my mom. The bed sheet set was a queen and I didn't realize my mom bed was a king so I didn't even bother opening the package because it's was the wrong size anyways. So the lady that helped me started going through the pieces and analyzing them. Which I didn't care because I had never opened it. The comes to find out it was missing a sheet. The lady said I was missing a sheet. And I said ok? Well I didn't know that because I didn't even open it. And she goes and calls the manager and the manager said she can't take it because there's a missing sheet. So I tell her how do you want me to give you something I don't have. I didn't even know it was missing a sheet. If I had known that would be the reason why I came, but it's not I'm here because I needed a king bed set and not a queen. She stormed off and just said she needed the receipt when on your website it said I just needed to bring the item in its package and a ID. Mind you, all I wanted was to just switch it out for a king. But clearly they don't know how to do business here. This tjmax is beyond unprofessional. I am very disappointed on how things were handled tonight. I will never return to this location. I came here to enjoy my free bag and early shopping. There were fruit, cupcakes, pastries and small bottles of water for the customers that have a TJ Maxx card. I have a credit card. It was nice to see some brand name makeup like Kevyn Aucoin and Mac makeup. I ended up buying only Mac lipsticks. The colors for Kevin Aucoin was either bright or gray. I didn't care for the colors so I put them back. I also got a purple eyeliner from Mac. I got vitamin C facial wipes for $3.99. I end up spending so much money on makeup at TJ Maxx. Location was clean and they were giving out gift cards. I didn't win anything but it was fun. At least I found some cool name brand makeup here. I hardly find any in San Diego. Decent spot. I just didn't like that I had to pack my own items in my own bag. I had to put everything in my free bag. Overall good shopping experience. read more

Worst TJMAXX ever. Brought in a return from a TJMaxx/HomeGoods store with a TjMaxx receipt (!) and they claimed not to be able to process it because it was "from HomeGoods and they don't know what they're doing over there." They are just LAZY. I knew they were lying so I called TjMaxx corporate and the office called the store to force them to process my return, which they were all of a sudden able to do. If they ever tell you they can't process a HomeGoods return, THEY ARE LYING and they can. Fidel L who is apparently a manager has the worst attitude ever. I asked him "what does it say on my receipt? It says TJMaxx." And he goes, "Don't talk to me like that." Apparently he expects to be spoken to with the utmost respect at all times when he blatantly lies and gives attitude to customers. Clearly upset with his sad life as a TjMaxx manager... definitely taking his napoleonic issues out on customers. CORPORATE - READ the reviews on this location!!! I am a big TJMaxx/HomeGoods/Marshalls shopper and this is my least favorite store. The older ladies always have an attitude when they are ringing you up and especially when you have a return. It has happened to me various times. First this lady named Janice and today another lady who didn't even have a name tag. The store associates need an attitude check. I had all my receipts ready to go and she was giving me attitude for no reason. The younger associates are nice so I would say if possible try to dodge the older ladies. read more

There's better tj maxx in the area with better product and better staff. Made a complaint to the manager about an employee asking my friend six times if she purchased an item and when we ask her if she wanted to see the receipt she said yes and proceeded to not know how to read a receipt. I just don't get how a cashier can't seem to keep up with what she rung up or not. As well as not know how to read a receipt. As TJ Maxx stores go, this is not one of my favorites. The store was not crowded when I was there, almost two weeks ago, on a Sunday morning. I was trying to track down some amazing boots in my size. And yeah, as mentioned in a previous review, the shoe selection at this location sucks. Worst I've seen at any TJ Maxx, in fact. I did find a couple sweaters for cheap and a pair of jeans I love, so the visit was not a complete bust. Parking was easy. But the fitting room attendant was so sick she looked like she could hardly stand up. I felt sorry for her as I tried not to touch anything she handled.....ew. When I emerged from trying on my jeans, the poor girl was talking with her supervisor. I mentioned that she was too sick to be at work, trying to help her, and the supervisor said, oh she's fine, just a scratchy throat. What happened to the days when sick people stayed home? If I lived nearby, I'd probably be a customer at this location, but it cannot compare to my beautiful, immaculate TJM on the Palos Verdes Hill. read more

My sister is a HUGE TJ Maxx fan, so for Christmas I usually get her a gift card. Today was my day to get her that gift, but I HAD to shop around the store - as long as I was there! OMG they had SO MUCH STUFF! Brand name purses (Dooney & Bourke, Coach, etc,) greeted me when I walked in the door, shoes were a little further in so I tried on a bunch of boots, and then I got stuck in housewares - feeling up a cozy furry fuschia throw that would be really yummy around my chilly shoulders as I type this on the couch! Sigh. Today was Christmas shopping day though - for OTHER people....and I was trying really hard to stay focused!! So I wandered around some more, and in about an hour was able to check people off o my Christmas list (oooh, such a good feeling!). Since I got my sister, a couple of cutie pie little girls in my life, and a few neighbors' gifts taken care of, I got myself a colorful wireless mouse ($10) and a Dr. Oetker adjustable-shape cake pan that came with 3 Silpat-like cookie sheet liners ($10). I love to shop in all Discount stores and spend so much at multiple TJMaxx stores. Of all the store that I have shopped in, I have never experienced such a rude and judgmental manager. Her name is Jessie and I sware that woman is evil. She looks me up and down the minute she sees me. I ignore her.
