    Orange and pineapple smoothie

We wanted to try somewhere new for breakfast so we decided to give Toast Cafe a try. From the outside it looks a little run down but when you step inside it has a cool little vibe to it. The host and waitress were extremely nice and we decided to sit outside. Both inside and outside the restaurant were very clean probably because they had just opened up. We arrived around 8am and there was only one person inside. The waitress took our order and explained everything in detail letting me know it was a dairy kosher restaurant so there wasn't really any meat, only fish selections. So, my son went with eggs, has browns and rye toast. He also ordered an orange and pineapple smoothie which was very good. I went with the salmon tacos and a passion fruit and tea mix which was amazing. Overall, it was a nice little restaurant that could use a makeover. The Toast sign outside is faded and worn out. With a little more love, this could be a nice little local breakfast shop. We may stop by again but I feel like there are better options for breakfast within the area. OOOO 4 out of 5 Afros

My team and I come to Toast Café every month whenever we hit our goal, and it has become our go-to spot for breakfast. It's a kosher restaurant, which I personally love because kosher food is prepared with a level of cleanliness and care guided by Judaic laws--you can genuinely feel the quality. The portions here are generous, consistent, and satisfying. My staff usually loves switching restaurants, but this is the one place we never change. Every time we come here, the food hits the spot. The service is also excellent. The staff is kind, helpful, and extremely accommodating. I can literally text one of them to set up a table for ten people every month, and they always have it ready for us without a problem. Highly recommended. If you're in Sherman Oaks and want a hearty breakfast with great service, try Toast Café. It's become a staple for us for a reason.

    Impossible southwest omelette

Went here for one of our meetings, first off I was confused when they told me we are meeting at Toast - I thought it was the same Toast cafe in LA. This is actually a kosher restaurant so not related to the LA restaurant. The place has indoor seating and also lots of outdoor seating. Right as we sat down I observed that this is a family owned restaurant. My boss frequents this place since it's kosher. She ordered shakshuka - love this dish I didn't try hers but I've made this dish myself - was pleased how they have a little pan to serve it in. My other boss ordered the sandwich and I had the impossible southwest omelette. I actually found the omelette really filling - it has impossible meat with mushrooms, onions and spinach topped with melted mozzarella. The drinks are also good - I had macha which wasn't on the menu but they made it anyway . Our server was very nice I believe he's the son of the owner. Polite and attentive. It's definitely a good place for brunch or lunch if you're on this side of the valley. Parking can be a challenge.

Amazing experience at Toast Cafe! The food was fresh, delicious, and made with great quality. Everything came out perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was super nice and relaxing. Definitely one of the best spots in the area -- I'll be coming back again for sure. Highly recommend!

Great atmosphere, the latte has the final touch like it supposed to be. The food is healthy and very tasty.

Great spot for kosher food! The place is a bit small inside, so it can feel a little tight when it's busy, but there are tables outside too. The staff is super friendly and happy to help with any requests, and the food comes out pretty quickly. Everything looked great and was really tasty.

This adorable little hole in the wall was very packed and lively. An amazing frozen mint lemonade that was so refreshing. A delicious vanilla matcha was a wonderful compliment to my fire roasted tomato Shakka omelette. Everything was so flavorful well-made and delicious. My item came out with steaming hot fresh pita bread. That was the best I've ever tasted. Love this place!

Disappointed. I'm home sick and ordered a bagel and cream cheese sandwich. There was barely any cream cheese in the sandwich???

We ordered the huevos rancheros, breakfast bagel, and tres leches pancakes. Food came out 20min after drinks just to find out the bagel plate had a hair on the egg. We had NOT received the pancakes just our two main plate. We requested a new plate. By the time they brought the new plate out my husband was done with his plate. STILL not received the pancakes. When we had asked for an update on both plates, she said pancakes were ready but she put them back to warm up. Our thought was why not bring them out fresh so I can at least eat while waiting for the new plate that had to be remade. Anyways my new plate came out and chz was not as melted. It looked like the order was completely rushed. We understand since they had to make a new one because of the hair but there was no consideration. I only ate half not being satisfied. Still waiting on pancakes. Then we asked if we can just not do the pancakes since we had waited for so long, waitress said they were ready and still went to take another tables order. Waited still for the pancakes, ended up getting them to go. Coffee was good, scenery was nice, service could be way better!! I'm pregnant by the way, my patience was very sincere. We didn't complain, we didn't get offered anything for their mistake(NOT that we were expecting it). We paid and may not come back. Very Disappointed.

You order at the counter and grab a seat in one of the many seating areas (indoor and out). We opted for al fresco dining right on Tujunga Avenue, because sitting under the trees and watching the world go by is one of the most pleasant aspects of Aroma! But there is also greenery of every type in the back and side areas, too. Don't worry too much about the line. After you order and grab a table, the servers bring out your coffee/tea orders promptly, and the food comes quickly thereafter. Servers are busy but friendly and accommodating. There are a lot of enticing choices on the breakfast/brunch menu, so we look forward to returning to Aroma.

It's a really cute little cafe, that shares a space with a furniture store. It's located in a great part of Sherman Oaks and it seemed like the place had many regulars. Upon entering I was greeted by both the barista and the cashier/barista. It was quite busy on a Friday at 10:30 am, but I managed to get seating outdoors. It was fully packed inside! I ordered an iced latte and managed to get their lack everything croissant. The girl who took my order was very sweet and friendly. She warmed up my croissant and it was ready in a few mins. Now, my coffee took over 20 minutes to be made. I saw the barista make orders that were placed after mine. Some seemed to be for his regulars, which was annoying and was not appreciated. I was also in a bit of a rush, but managed to just make it out in time for my appointment.
