$15 Shrimp Teriyaki Tokyo Lunch Bento Box. Decent deal.

I pass by 3 sushi places to get to this one. The quality and prices are good here, which brings me back. I like that this place is consistent and that they have a lunch special. I was able to place my phone order and pick up in a quick amount of time. I also really appreciate Tokyo doesn't charge a to go fee or cost for shrimp sauce. They actually had a shrimp and soy sauce in the bag ready for me without even asking. Great spot!

Small sushi place with tasty food. They have good rolls at a reasonable price. The service is fast and friendly. It is very quiet inside, on the verge of being somewhat awkward at times.

I have now eaten here 4 times and must say it is one of my favorite spots! The sushi is always fresh, and when you dine in the service is good and they always make sure your drinks are filled and belly is full. It is small and intimate in here but I have never seen it packed full. The prices are very affordable too which is always a positive!

My son asked me out for sushi today- I haven't had sushi since March! OMG~ that is too long! And I hadn't explored my sushi options in the area yet since moving. The caveat- someplace that also had food for John. He doesn't do sushi. Tokyo Asian Kitchen caught my eye with their menu and their excellent reviews on both google and Yelp. We went for lunch- lunch specials are the way to go. I went with the 3 rolls special and ordered shrimp tempura roll, the Boston roll and the yellowtail roll. I admit- I ordered the Boston blind, I had no idea- google results were not the same as what I got and it was my least favorite- being crab, lettuce, wrapped in rice. But the shrimp roll and the yellowtail were excellent. The yellowtail was fresh- very important for raw fish. My son got the 2 roll special and went with the shrimp tempura roll and the spicy crab roll. He devoured the crab roll and also snagged the califonia roll from John's Bento Box. So- John got the chicken teriyaki Bento Box. He was the least thrilled with the meal. While Eddie and I enjoyed our sushi- John's chicken was over cooked and chewy. He didn't complain once during the meal and didn't confess till hours later. Maybe it was just one off dish. Maybe the sushi is the hit here- who knows. I will be back, I might not bring John though! Next time.... Tuna Tataki and a spider roll!

I was looking for a weekday lunch deal on a day off and I came across this place. Based on the reviews, it seemed quite promising. I ordered the steak teriyaki Bento box which came with a soup or salad and white or fried rice. They asked how I wanted the steak and I requested medium well. The order was ready on time and when I was late arriving to pick it up, they called me! I walked into a rather dim dining room where just a few people were sitting during the lunch hour and where staff were prepping condiments for the serFor $12.95 plus tax, it was a pretty good value. Steak topping mixed veggies, two pan fried dumplings, 4 pieces of a California roll, and fried rice were in the box and a side salad was also included. The food was good despite a few technical issues. The dumplings were over fried and the steak was overcooked, way beyond medium well. But, it was a nice break from my normal weekday salads. The menu here is rather extensive and I saw a few things that I'd like to order. Hopefully the online ordering system will work next time as this time, I had to call the restaurant to place my order. Thanks to the great customer service, I'll be back.

The sushi was so good here. The service was great and very attentive. The ambiance was good with dim lighting. Definitely will be back again . Usually I get the food to go but this was our first time actually dining in. And I loved it.

The food was absolutely disgusting. I wasted over $60 for trash. The customer service is horrendous . It's like they're upset that you're there. They are so rude and unprofessional. They also don't devein the shrimp and it was truly disgusting to see that. If you decide to come here please don't honestly just turn around. There's a great sushi spot called Tokyo Ramen & Poke. Go spend your money somewhere else, so you don't end up with trash and hungry.

Amazzzzing, cannot wait to go back, although they may not want US back with my 1 year old Nevertheless, the waiter was super nice, attentive, and playful. My husband and I stopped in for sushi today and we were so pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere of the restaurant was perfect for a little date night. The real star of the show was the angel roll!! Omg, it was delicious! 5/5. The crab Rangoon was so good too. The dragon roll was my least favorite but not terrible. read more

Just discovered Tokyo Asian Kitchen this week while in Jax for business. Ended up eating there twice this week! I'm trying to cut carbs and love rolls wrapped in cucumber without any rice. They have an excellent Rainbow Naruto that checks that box and is delicious! Also had Tuna Tataki and Seered Tuna appetizers. They were both incredible. Not sure if it is standard operating procedure, but both times I went they gave me a free sample of an appetizer. I think it was the Honey Krab. It was very good as well. Definitely recommend! read more

I enjoy really good Asian food! I was visiting a nail salon and afterwards about three doors down was this restaurant. I ordered a bento box. It was delicious!! I'm going back. Service is great too. what a hidden gem!! food is amazing here. the five u complimentary small dishes like soup and tempura krab, and oranges to finish off your meal. the hibachi is amazing here, smoky flavor and not too salty!! tempura is light and crisp. we also has their sushi and it was amazing!! the sushi sandwich was surprising the best. read more

This restaurant - hands down - has THE BEST sushi I've had in jacksonville. And let me tell you, I am a sushi connoisseur. I've tried it all over town. The restaurant is small, but can accommodate a big group if needed. It's always clean and the ambiance is on point. The servers are attentive and food usually comes out fairly quickly. They have hibachi, and various options other than sushi. All of the food is delicious, but if you're looking for exceptional sushi, this is the place to try. read more

This place exceeded all of our expectations. It is quite literally the BEST sushi place I have ever eaten at (to include Maine and Washington states). When you first drive up the place doesn't look like much, but don't let the exterior deter you. Inside is a nice quaint ambiance consistent with a sushi house. The staff is absolutely amazing and accommodating. Extremely nice and attentive. The menu is extensive to include sushi, sashimi, hibachi (no presentation grills, just order at table), yaki, hand rolls, fried rolls, soup/salad, etc. The food is all made fresh and is expertly crafted. It is all placed with care and attention to detail. The presentation is 10/10!!! If you're looking for sushi or hibachi in the Atlantic Beach area- this is the place. read more

They were able to seat our party of 9 with less than 15 minutes notice. We were seated promptly and our drink orders were taken right away. We placed our food order and they brought out soups and "house special rolls" for us to sample. Our sushi was delicious and very beautifully presented! They started getting busy, all tables filled, but our server remained amazing. They brought our plates with oranges at the end and consistently filled our drinks. If we ever find ourselves back In Jacksonville, we'll definitely come back!! read more

Tokyo has amazing sushi options especially when choosing ones without raw fish. I generally don't order raw sushi, so I tried the rock n' roll and the spicy krab sushi for a lunch special, and it was really delicious. I recommend going for lunch to try the 2 option sushi lunch, where you get two options of any sushi for a great price! read more

Great hospitality, they accommodated our large party last minute close to closing time, and were very helpful with accomodating our allergic and vegan diners. Food was great and well priced, I split the veggie tempura, fried sweet potato roll, and Inari nigiri with my partner. Everything was perfectly fried, well portioned and tasted fresh. At the end of our meal we were given fried oreos and oranges for the whole table. I recommend this place for anyone looking for straightforward, delicious and fairly priced Asian food paired with an attentive and accomodating staff. read more

This is my "Go To" Japanese take out spot. The food is always great, it's near by and the owner is very nice. Since we are regulars here, he knows our order by heart! I usually order the tempura because everything is made perfectly and the veggies are always nice and fresh! The steak teriyaki is also delish, but the fried rice is definitely the star over the steak. I've had better steak at Wasabi or even Sashimi Fusion, but the flavor is good. I prefer the teriyaki salmon over their steak, suuuper tasty. Back to the rice though... so good! Sushi here is also great in case that is what your in the mood for! Highly recommended! read more

My family and I have been coming here (even to the old location before they moved) for around 15-16 years. This is the best japanese/chinese food we have ever had in Jax. Since we are regulars, they treat us like family and we enjoy coming frequently. Sometimes we are here twice a week haha. My favorite is the singapore mei fun (I like the rice noodles). It is a little spicy but if you like that kinda thing, give it a try. If you do not like spicy, then I recommend the same dish and it's called mei fun. The prices are phenomenal! With most meals you will get a huge plate for $8-13. I usually can eat the same two more times as leftovers after I take it home. Jessie and Alan are the greatest. They are so kind and really know how to run a good business. You will not go wrong here. The new location no longer has hibachi but it really is a cute place and they are fast with the excellent food they make! read more

I just moved to the area and have now ordered delivery twice from this restaurant. I have to rave a little about their food. Its tasty and well priced. It is also clear that they carefully prepare the food and pack everything up. They have also sent a little sampling of some yummy roll with cream cheese and imitation crab which I have happily dug right in to while impatiently unpacking the rest of the items. Their crab Rangoon is spot on - they also serve it with the traditional sweet and sour sauce which I find is not that common around Jax. I'm happy to give them 5 stars and will definitely be a repeat customer. read more

Best sushi I've had in Jacksonville - by far - and extremely reasonable pricing!! This place does not get enough credit. I highly recommend the Crazy Tuna, Dynamite, Annie or Pink Lady Rolls. They also have the best clear soup, which I never usually like. You won't be disappointed. read more

I wanted to write a review so that I could post clear decent pictures of the entire menu since the ones on here weren't very clear. I Hope this helps others. Pretty good sushi, we ordered to go since The Covid 19 has us on lockdown. I recommend the super spider roll. It was a pretty big roll and was delicious. Gyoza was on point as well and the miso soup was a pretty good size for $2. We plan on returning for sure. read more

We went for lunch and had their lunch special. It was $7.99 for two sushi rolls. There were around 15 rolls you could chose for the special so the selection was very good. We really enjoyed the sushi! The rolls were fresh and made perfectly. We both drank water so our tab was $17 and change. We were stuffed and very very pleased with the service, food and atmosphere. It is a small place but perfect for a date or a quiet lunch. I will go back and try other menu items but my initial impression was wonderful. read more

Amazing date place! This is my second time here and both times were AMAZING. I got the Crazy Tuna Roll and it was so yummy. My boyfriend got the Play Boy Roll and loved that one too. We also shared the Tuna Pizza which we've never had before and were surprised at how good it was. 10/10 would recommend !!! read more

I ordered delivery, so I haven't been into the restaurant. I can't speak to the service or atmosphere. What I can tell you is that this place has the best sushi I have found after living in Jacksonville for about 15 years. The quality of the sushi was top notch. Whoever their sushi chef was on this particular Sunday night, they truly have a love for their craft. The sushi was beautiful. Incredibly thin, precision slices of jalapeño with a tiny dot of sriracha in the center. Bright purple flower petals as a garnish. This chef studied, and loves what they do. I decided on the Jax which consisted of a California roll with eel on top. I also got two other tempura style rolls, but I can't remember the names. The only reason I gave this place a three was the presentation of the restaurant. It seemed like it could have been a little more clean including the bathroom.
