    Veggie Patties BURNT

3.5 stars I'm here probably more than I would like to admit, but everything is usually good, and I may have developed an addiction to the chermoula sauce. However at the white plains location, the girlie employee at the register always has a stank look on her face and never a greeting or smile or thank you. The parking here is always chaotic with people double tripped parked down Mamaroneck. Last time we ordered the veggie patties it was burnt and served face up in the take out container, so obviously the cook and the employees saw it before being packaged -- but still chose to serve it.

Got a chance to try so many delicious veggie dishes at Falafel Place today! The staff was so friendly and the food was fresh and delicious. Loved all the falafel, veggie patties, eggplant shakshuka and salad. You can't really go wrong with any of the dishes here. If you want to pick up a quick lunch to go then highly recommend the sandwiches. The pita bread was thick and very tasty too! Please support your local businesses!

It was Lunch time....1:30pm... yesterday I was feeling the side effects of stressful work day. I had already finished about 60% of the work and I was extremely hungry. Every time I open up Yelp I'm always being reminded about this Falafel Place restaurant that opened up 5 months ago. Falafel Place this, Falafel Place that. ALL THE TIME IM ALWAYS BEING NOTIFIED about this restaurant and how popular it currently is! So I decided to finally go check it out.... Below I'll post a series of photos of my experience eating a Falafel sandwich... go ahead and view it..... Ok the first photo is the presentation of the beautifully constructed Falafel Sandwich with the addition of extra tzatziki sauce and pickles. The second photo is after I had taken a HUGE BITE of the sandwich because after smelling the aroma literally engulfed my noise. It was just an amazing sandwich! The after picture is literally the aftermath of falafels. So much seasoning it was just so damn good Please support the locals .

I noticed Falafel Place a short while ago while walking down Mamaroneck Ave. While many spots in downtown White Plains have unfortunately closed since the start of the pandemic, there are a few that have opened or are opening soon. Since I want to support local and love exploring new places, I made an intention to try them out for lunch. This is the second Falafel Place to open in Westchester, the other one being on Central Park Ave in Yonkers. The space itself isn't large, but they have a small seating area inside as well as more outside. The color scheme is bright which makes the space seem very open - additionally they have a very nice mural on one of the walls which adds to the whim to the space. Falafel is the star of the menu, but they do have some eggplant dishes as well as traditional Mediterranean sides like hummus and tzatziki. I wanted to try their falafel, so I went with the sandwich and a side of lentils and rice. The sandwich was essentially a pita stuffed with falafel, chopped tomato, chopped cucumber, and dressing. The sandwich was very good - it was stuffed generously with filling and had great flavor; it also came with a sauce that added just the right amount of spice. The lentils with rice were good - I would like to have seen a more even mix of the two (there was definitely more rice), but it was still a nice alternative to potatoes. Service was fast and friendly, and overall I had a great first experience here. I'm glad a place like this opened in White Plains - they're providing something different than the usual eateries in the city, and I look forward to my next visit.

I've been waiting for this place to open! I've tried to come here a few times. They're closed by 8. So if you want to stop by, make sure you do before then! I've stopped in a couple times. It's always busy and loud so I find it to be much easier to order and have food delivered. The falafel pita was good. It had a lot of dressing in it and was super garlic-y. I would definitely get it without this next time. But the falafels inside of the pita were good. I usually love tabouli. I ordered theirs. It was flavorful but super dry. I probably wouldn't order this again. I also ordered the fries. These were crispy, hot and fresh! I usually don't like fries but these were good! I don't normally go to places when they first open but I wanted to try their falafels! I would definitely go back in a couple weeks (since this is their first week open).

Delicious and consistent...my go to. The hummus and sides are a perfect match. The pitas are fresh and fluffy.

This is such an excellent find in White Plains. A vegan falafel joint with the softest pita bread and any type of yummy filling that you want. I had the eggplant pita (which does come with an optional egg, so not strictly vegan) but yummy all the same! I'll definitely be going back! #whiteplainsrealtor #bestplacestoeat

Once again Yelp steered me to a top notch dining establishment. The name "Falafel place" and the establishment itself is simple and unassuming. The falafel, however, is delicious. I picked up two falafel sandwiches for my mom and me. The pita was freshly made as were its ingredients - perfect fried falafel balls, diced cucumbers and tomatoes with a dash of spicy hummus sauce. Two sandwiches came in at under $20. I'll be back to try some of their other delights. Limited indoor and more outdoor seating. Ask for napkins/ utensils if you need them.

Crunchy falafel and firm pita in a juicy sandwich is hard to do. Impressed. And very clean bathroom too!

A truly authentic Israeli "Hummus Etc" place. Nothing fancy, but exactly what you need if you miss Israeli hummus, salads and shakshuka.

Love this place!…read more This is my go to Indian spot. I love all of their food; it's delicious and fresh. My favorite dish to order here is the: chicken tikka masala. It comes with rice, naan and chicken. It's the best chicken tikka I've had. It's buttery, flavorful and fresh. I love their dessert too. My favorite dessert to order here is the: Galub jamun. Anar has take out, delivery and they have in restaurant seating as well. I love coming here because the food is prepared quickly and to order. I can't wait to come back again soon.

Anar is an Indian-Mediterranean restaurant close to the main Mamaroneck Ave strip and White Plains Hospital. The space used to be a straight-up Indian restaurant called India Cafe, but at the start of the pandemic last March they closed and never reopened (though they still operate a takeout spot a few doors down). Eventually after a refresh, Anar opened - though I suspect the owners are the same since the menu is similar to its predecessor. Anyway, I wasn't able to sit and eat but they offer takeout so I placed my order online and picked it up on my lunch break. The menu contains a number of Indian dishes as well as general Mediterranean fare. They have a dedicated lunch specials section, and the chicken shawarma roll on it looked good so I went with that. I also ordered the chili gobi, and one of my colleagues got the chicken pakora. The chicken shawarma was great, it was an ample size with a generous helping of chicken. The naan was great, and that white sauce really tied it all together. The chili gobi was tasty with just the right amount of spice - the cauliflower wasn't as crispy as I've had elsewhere, but the flavor was great. Service was good - my food was ready by the promised time, and was packaged neatly despite the risk of it getting messy with all the sauces and such. Overall, I had a great first experience at Anar. The food was tasty and they offer something not really seen elsewhere in White Plains - I'll be sure to return.

Sad to say, after being loyal customers, this place turned us off tonight permanently. I placed a large anniversary dinner order by phone, including tahdig ($12). During the call, I specifically asked if the rice came with tomato and onion and was told no it comes with the tahdig that I ordered. So yes it comes with the order. I was also asked whether I wanted the gheymeh on top or on the side of the tahdig. I chose on the side. When I got home, the order didn't match what was discussed: The tahdig wasn't traditional rice tahdig like me or my wife have had countless times. It was more like this brownish, sheet-like, crumble with a few flecks of rice on the crumble, but not crispy. Not Persian tahdig. The gheymeh was missing entirely, despite being discussed on the call. The tomato and onion that I was told were included were not there. The fesenjan had only a few pieces of chicken. The ghormeh sabzi was okay, but pretty underwhelming in flavor. I called politely to clarify about the missing tahdig (for next time) and was told someone would call me back. No one did. When I called again an hour later, the same person who took my original order responded in a dismissive and accusatory tone, unilaterally escalating her tone and voice immediately, almost angrily accusing me of daring to call, and told me that the tahdig does not come with gheymeh, and tomato and onion aren't included either. (This is the opposite of what I was told when ordering). She repeatedly interrupted me, talking over me, instead of listening or trying to resolve the issue. We've been coming here since moving from Southern California a few years ago, whenever we felt homesick and wanted some Persian food. The food has always been....OK....nothing like Persian restaurants in Toronto or Southern California, but we continued ordering out of nostalgia and lack of other options. However, this experience today, incorrect information, missing items, no follow-up, and then, the way the situation was handled was our final turn off. Disappointing, especially for what was meant to be a special occasion. We won't be returning, nor will our visiting Persian family or friends.
