I am annoyed that there is a 75 cent hidden bread slicing fee that they don't tell you about when they ask if you want your bread sliced, but it shows up on your receipt. We've been going to the Farmer's Market specifically for Tommy and Atticus bread and pastries for at least a year - so glad to have them at this location! Yummy sourdough and great morning citrus bun and decadent cookies. New place is beautiful and spacious, staff is friendly and fast!Fun to meet the family who works behind the counter at times (owner is visibly in the open kitchen), I assume it was grandpa he was so sweet. Also this spot is attached to a mid size shopping area (meaning there's a rite aid and a dry cleaners etc nearby) - so there is actually a lot of parking if you don't mind a 2 min walk. read more

Today I got one of their sandwiches if the week. Shaved turkey breast, cheese, pickle, arugula, herb aioli, Dijon mustard on a sourdough baguette. It was one of the best sandwiches I have had. Their bagels are also good and chewy. I had called earlier to see if they had their cheddar & bacon scone. They were nice to put a couple aside for me until I was able to pick it up. I've missed their chocolate croissant the past two times I've been there. Need to get there earlier! One time I went they were doing their pizzas. They were good too. Pretty good. I went very early one morning to try some pastries and get them for my colleagues. I would say the pastries were good. I liked the service, very efficient and friendly. Bakery had a high ceiling and seemed industrial-esque with seating for some that might want to stay. Wow! So happy I found this place. The best, I repeat...the best sourdough bread. I am absolutely obsessed. I catch myself eating like half the loaf on my way home. The almond croissant was phenomenal as well. You won't be able to stop eating it. Also, the veggie sandwich, the one with the miso mushrooms. Please! Please! Please put that on the menu. I was super excited to try Tommy & Atticus given the rave reviews...BUT it really wasn't that great. We ordered several pastries and two different breads. The kouign-Amman was dry and the caramelization was a little over done. The olive fougasse was so burned, it was brought back for a refund. The cheddar jalapeño loaf had great flavor and the inside was a nice texture, but the outside crust was too tough for my liking. The only thing we purchased that wasn't burnt was the chocolate croissant. For the prices I'd expect better quality control. The place was beautiful, the staff were friendly, love the free water (you're going to need it). Maybe give it a few months to work out the kinks before visiting! read more

I really want to give 5 stars for this place. The bakery is great, the quality is excellent but I just feel the prices are really high. $12 for a loaf of bread Seeded loaf which is excellent you can't get this kinda bread at the market. But they charge an extra $.75 to slice it. $7 for a ham and cheese croissant and most any pastry. I understand brick and mortar business have lots of expenses, but if you are going to start up and charge this much, most people cannot afford these prices. I wish the business and their family the best and hope they succeed. read more

My first visit: service and ambiance are great. Lot of people really enjoying the food and beverages. I ordered the sandwich of the week. Not likely again. As another review said, the bagguette was noticeably chewy. Way too chewy and risky for me with my implants. The chocolate cookie was moderately ok, although nothing to write home about. I'd rather just have a bag of Tate's or the choco chip at Bristol. The chocolate croissant was too flakey, falling off the pastry. The pastry tasted like it was overly cooked, and almost like burnt in spots. If it didn't have chocolate, I would've just tossed it. I've had better at other local places - Little French Bakery, Japanese bakery at Tokyo Central, etc. I give it 4 star, because it's within walking distance for me, it's new and fresh, and the bread sample indicates they can do good things with their loaves. read more

The bread here is incredible! I go out of my way every week to get a loaf of their country sourdough. They have wonderful espresso drinks. I enjoyed their vanilla latte with oat milk. You can't go wrong with their pastries -- fruit tarts, scones, croissants, cookies, etc. The service is quick and friendly even when the line is out the door. So we just finished their garlic loaf and it is unbelievably moist and flavorful with lots of big cloves of garlic! We used to get our breads from Wholefoods or LaBrea Bakery but Tommy & Atticus are way better, besides they just magically appear at your home or wherever you want! This is a new business, and I believe that with a few tweaks, it could get better. There was a long line to get in. I enjoyed my chai latte. As far as the food , they only had one gluten-free item. It was a nut loaf. You had to purchase the entire nut loaf, not by slice, and it was expensive. They also require you to slice your own loaf. We also tried a Blueberry score. It seemed dry and not much flavor. I would not order either of these items again. It was also noted that they had sandwiches pre-made on racks who knows how long they were out...not a good idea, they should have been moved to a refg area. Since they are a new business, I was hoping for a better review. I might go back once more after they have been open for awhile to see if things improved and if they add more gluten-free options. read more

1st time here after everyone I know who had been here said "it's a must". Service is friendly and helpful. The breads are terrific. Sourdough was delicious. They have a Gluten-free bread that was more like a soft granola, dense but soft. I would not recommend the latte though. I ordered an iced oat latte. I went back to see if anything had changed since the owner had responded to my review with considerable pride of quality. Some improvements like putting loaves of bread on an accessible shelf for the employees, moving the trash can away from the barista serving area so not to impede on customers getting their coffee and the strawberry tart didn't look burnt like last time, but alas still not winning. This time I ordered a bacon and cheese scone and a drip coffee. Drip coffee is hard to mess up so that came out fine, on the other hand the bacon and cheese scone on the edges has some nice flavor but getting into it it was doughy and tasted like dough and literally smells like uncooked dough instead of having a consistent texture and flavor baked all the way through. Stopped by here with my mom a couple weeks ago around 2pm, we were excited to try out a new local bakery. As expected there wasn't a huge selection left since we came later in the day but there were still quite a few pastries. We got a slice of pizza and a couple croissants-- my mom was not impressed with the pizza but I thought it was okay, would maybe get it again. The croissants were very good and tasted fresh, I really liked the dough used for the pastries and the pizza. However we were both not impressed with the customer service; the girl behind the counter taking our order came off as very rude. It was a little noisy inside so it was difficult to hear through the glass and when my mom and I were trying to tell her our order she kept going "HUH? WHAT?" to both of us with an attitude and acted as though we were inconveniencing her by being there. It was strange and off-putting to say the least. Everyone else was nice enough but the environment felt a little cold and sterile overall. Prices were also pretty expensive. I might stop by again earlier in the day and give it another try, but won't necessarily be rushing back. read more

I cannot say enough for what a wonderful gem this place is! The sourdough bread is amazing, especially the PPR (pepita polenta rosemary).
