Tommy Bahamas seemed like a pretty place to eat and the outdoor seating and music caught our eyes, which was why we decided to give it a try. We sat outside, which was enjoyable with all the patio shades and fan. However, though this place looks nice and all, don't let it fool you. A glass cup I received had a lipstick stain, and we found hair in our jerk chicken. Once we informed our waiter the manager came out and took that entree off our check and gave us a free entree to replace it. Though the customer service was swell and most of the food was delicious, we unfortunately won't be returning due to the lack of cleanliness. read more

I remember being excited about this place opening up last year, but after being underwhelmed the last 2 visits, I don't plan on returning. The food here sounds and looks amazing, but that's about it, it looks better than it tastes. I've tried the cod, the fried shrimp, the lobster salad, the mahi mahi, but nothing was memorable. The only dish worth trying is the Pineapple Creme brûlée and I guess their other desserts too... If you want to spend the same amount seafood, I'd recommend heading on over to the keeper on the other side of legacy. Service is friendly which is def a plus, but food can take forever to come out even on slow days... Wish they were consistent! read more

Love this place! I will be honest but i first tried TB when it first opened at Legacy West I wasn't overly floored by the food. Fast forward to 2020 - and seriously why did i wait to go back? Great service and delicious food! From the hostess to the wait staff everyone is professional and believes in giving great customer service. My last visit we decide to eat at the bar. Our Bartender/Server Daniela was terrific with recommendations and was super friendly. She suggested the Pineapple Paradisio - was so good i had to order a second. Filet Mignonette Flatbread - have to admit this is my favorite appetizer - every time we've ordered it I always think we should get another! Parmesan Crusted Sanibel Chicken - giving this 5 stars!!! The chicken is juicy with the perfect red pepper sauce (i need the recipe!) and the cauliflower potato mash is to die for. If you've read my other reviews you know i'm always on the hunt for the perfect Key Lime Pie and Tommy Bahamas does not disappoint! Definitely one of my go to places. If you haven't gone- try it. I came to this restaurant twice and the second time was today on Valentine's Day, and it was phenomenal both times! We sat outside on the patio and the ambience was beautiful, with a live singer, heaters to keep you warm, and a super nice environment no matter the weather! The service was very good as well, with our waiter always checking in and being very nice. The food was impeccably amazing!! We got the Rockefeller oysters, which was on the Valentines Day menu and it was delicious. My favorite appetizer was most definitely the goat cheese dip with bread, which had so much flavor! For the entree, I got the Chilean sea bass which was super light and airy with lots of flavor. Overall, I enjoyed this restaurant and I highly recommend you go here! read more

Had an amazing experience, the food was scrumptious and the service outstanding! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed and sat right away. The ambiance transports you to an island. Our server Wilson was very friendly and although he was very busy, he always stopped by our table to make sure we had everything we needed. We just moved to the area & it was our first time at legacy west. The overall experience was classy & tastful- we were seated right away in the location requested, on the patio as we brought our dog. They were so sweet about it & the host even offered our dog some water. Once we ordered, everything came out very promptly & tasted delicious- we got the coconut shrimp app & the poke tacos. For the main course the sweet potato fries were exquisite! Dessert wasn't our fav, & the check got mixed up with another table but was fixed in a professional manner. The steak my partner got was not the best we have ever had but definitely not the worst... kind of just right in the middle. Last "eh" thing I will say, it's a little overpriced when it comes to taste & organization... I feel like if you are paying as much as you are there, you should get that much in food/service. The Mango BBQ Chicken Lollipops tasted great. Because the mango wasn't too overwhelming, I caution on dunking the chicken into the remoulade sauce. Otherwise, one may miss out on tasting any of the mango. When something is named World Famous Coconut Shrimp, it creates a large amount of expectation. Fortunately, the taste did exceed any expectations generated by the name. The coconut and mango chutney combined well with the shrimp. As for dinner, I ordered the Filet Medallions Oscar, one of the day's specials. The steak was cooked to order and tasted well with the béarnaise sauce. Unfortunately, there was not much crab cake or it was hidden within the mashed potato. Either way, I expected more crab cake than the tiny amount I could find. The entree was named Filet Medallions Oscar and not Filet Medallions Oscar Jr. Fortunately, the dessert made up for any disappointment caused by the small amount of Oscar in my entree. I ordered the Malted Chocolate Pie. Between the half and full portion, I strongly recommend the full if there is any risk of others at the table wanting a "taste" of the desser. read more

Came here on a Friday night, pretty darn cold, but a lot of things were crowded so we decided to battle the elements and sit on the patio since there was a 30 min wait for inside. The service is good but the food is so so and the flavor profiles aren't a match. If this was tinder, wouldn't even make it to a first date. Overall summary and theme of my experience is, similar to chopped and iron chef, I want the title of the menu item to be the star of the dish!!! I started off with a small bowl of the blue crab bisque, tasted good but I want pieces of blue crab visible, it was more like where's Waldo trying to find some crab meat. Moved on to the pork belly fried rice, hugeeee portion, but once again, I'm left searching for the pork belly. You gotta elevate the ingredient to be the star! It also had a lot of ginger in there in which I'm not a huge fan of. Wife had coffee crusted rib eye which was so so. Nicely cooked but just not a fan of steak crusted anything. Got an opportunity to come to Tommy Bahamas for dinner on a Sunday night and I absolutely don't regret it! Ordered two drinks (highly recommend their pineapple martini) and let me tell you, one of those drinks packed a punch! We ordered the goat cheese encrusted in macadamia nuts and it's served with rice crackers, ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I will definitely come back and order this. The cheese was all nice and toasty and had this crispy-ness on the outside while the inside was warm and creamy! For dinner I ordered the red snapper and the mojo chicken. The red snapper was good nothing great about it, tasted very bland, however it was encrusted in macadamia nuts so it had the nice crunch. Surprisingly my favorite part of the dish was the asparagus that they serve with it, loved the marination/dressing that they put on it. My mother order the Mojo chicken and BOY, YOU HAVE TO ORDER IT. The chicken was so tender and juicy and flavorful with each bite, not dry at all (and this was the breast piece). I honestly regret not ordering the chicken after trying it. For dessert we had the pineapple creme brûlée, it is delicious and a very light dessert (it's my favorite and I've had the chocolate tart and piña colada cake). Service was I was not disappointed at all, our waiter was so friendly and attentive and informative about every dish on the menu. We absolute loved him. I ordered a salad no nuts as I have an allergy. As the food runner placed it in front of me he announced " no nuts" so I had a bite before realizing it was full of nuts. I won't die but many people could get very sick from this. The waiter then made jokes about it the rest of our service. We had dirty appetizer plates and salad plates just pile up. Very, very nice setup. Ambience - 5/5 - Located in Legacy West (which is a GREAT place to be around), this resturant also has the Tommy Bahama store right next to it. Great patio with a very nice bar that lets you people watch and enjoy the atmosphere. Service - 5/5 - Came during Happy Hour for about 40 minutes, but the service was great. Sat at the bar, so I was able to order drinks and food in a timely fashion. Food - 4/5 - Wasn't here too long, but ordered the Coconut Shrimp and Pork Belly Sliders. Both were pretty good, but you will be getting a happy hour portion fyi. I would get the sliders again at the HH price, but not the coconut shrimp. Stopped by with wife for a dinner date on a Thursday night. Great atmosphere and ambiance. There was a lady doing live music by the patio and the waterfall scenery outside the restaurant was magical. We were quickly seated in a booth by the bar area and our waiter helped us go through the menu, picking the popular items. We ordered the following drinks: $10.50 Pain Killer #2 - Wife didn't like it, the drink was bitter. She likes sweet alcoholic drinks and thought this was the recommended sweet drink by the waiter. Wife ordered a second drink below and it took FOREVER to be brought to the table, almost 10 minutes! Waiter was no where to be seen for a while until he finally came back with the new drink. $13.00 Chocolate Martini - Wife thought it tasted like Stevia, the sweetener...didn't even finish it. We didn't order any more drinks and ordered the food below. $29.50 - Stuffed Shrimp - This was great, made up for the experience we had with the drinks $27.50 - Shrimp/Scallops - Wife inhaled these. Background - We came with a large party (17) and had reservations. The orders were on separate tickets. It was a beautiful Friday evening with lots of people out and about. I have significant allergies. Fantastic customer service. We were seated quickly. Very noisy patio, but live music and fun ambiance. Water containers left at the table was very nice as it helps the conversions flow with no need for staff to constantly check our cups. Jacob was very helpful and fixed the issue I had with my steak. Apologetic . But not offering a fix. And it sounds like all of our issues have happened there recently. Undone food, no cleanliness. We were all out of town-ers. This was our end of trip meal. Not a good memory. And the vegetarian options are few. Salad, soup, $19 impossible burger. Not being snarky. It's potentially a nice place. Fix the gnats. Excellent place for drinks when it's hot and the live music they play is great! Me and my wife actually came here after we got married for drinks a few months ago and had a wonderful time we even tipped the man on guitar to play Margaritaville which was well done. Excellent selection of Tommy's as well big store parking can be an issue however. read more

Food items - French onion soup - chicken fig sandwich - wedge salad - kids chicken fingers meal - flourless brownie sundae The food was amazing, probably one of the best French onion soups I have ever had, the desert was amazing. I tried a piece of my wife's chicken sandwich and the kids chicken tenders and was also really good. The wedge salad was great and the vinaigrette I chose was great also. But the main thing that made us love this restaurant was our server Vicky! She was kind and also very easy going, she made it such a great experience. I was talking to my wife afterwards and we could not remember the last time we have this amazing of a restaurant experience. Good place for lunch on the patio during be the week if you get there ahead of the crowd and the weather is nice! Our group of four were seated quickly and the weather was perfect! We had the "world's best" coconut shrimp, bread and the ginger butter before our food arrived. I'm not sure the shrimp was World's best, but it was really good! It was golden brown and glistened with a sweet sauce. Our order arrived quickly and my Cuban sandwich was good. Not the best, but the pork, ham and roll were really good! Took the wife here for our anniversary brunch this past Sunday. Even though the weather was 95 degrees outside, we sat on the terrace, as they have a high-end misting system in-place which keeps the ambient temperature down substantially. They had a musician performing live acoustic music on the terrace, which made for a really nice and festive atmosphere. We had the Mai Tai cocktail, which was about the best Mai Tai I have ever had. Sure it was a bit pricey at $13, but was quality. The grilled Mahi Mahi tacos and Coconut Shrimp were fabulous. We had excellent service and a great dining experience. We'll be back! read more

Had 2:30p reservations for a late lunch and my part of 5 was seated promptly. The waiter greets us and immediately took our order and appetizer order. The restaurant was clean, as always. Yet being placed in the corner near the retail store that's were things got a lil gnat'sty'. Yes gnats were in the corner closest to my son and were swarming to the pint I had to tell the waiter. Once the drinks came and appetizers served he attempted to use disinfectant wipes to rid of the 'swarm'. Yet honestly it just made it worse. I felt frustrated at times trying to keep them off the food and drinks, at times it worked, then it seemed that they were coming bath 10 fold. I should have spoke to the manager, yet during a busy Father's Day lunch, I felt best that it would be to write a review and hope that it wld make to management.
