OMG! First time here & I won't be back! Found a HAIR in my food!! Ordered a popeye's omelette & it was delish..only had 2 bites..then YUCK! If you believe that the best place to eat is where the locals go, this is the place. We were greeted as we walked in the door and directed to a booth. Our waitress brought us menus and took our drink order. She told us that the decaf coffee was a bit old so she was going to make a new pot for us. My wife ordered an omelet and I ordered pancakes and eggs. I am always apprehensive about ordering pancakes for the first time in a restaurant because so many places make them rubbery. Full menu all day! Though, that's not really surprising since it is a diner. Ordered the Waffle and a side of chicken fried steak. The waffle was not as crunchy on the outside as i would have liked but the inside was definitely soft. A tad of syrup with butter and it was good to go. Went here with a friend who recommended this place for breakfast a few days ago. Honestly, it was more of an afternoon brunch. Notice that the place closes at 3 everyday which is very convenient. Parking was very easy to find. The place is very cozy. The waiter was utterly kind and service was excellent. Our food came out quick. You get a lot of food at a reasonable price. Can't say much about the food because for the past two weekends that I tried to order, they pick up the phone and put it down, then eventually they just hang up. Serving size was good, and curly fries were perfectly cooked , crisp and not drenched in oil. I've had better Philly cheesesteak sandwiches to be honest , it was average to say the least. Just left Tommy's Cafe on Pacific. Many people praise this place so we decided to give it a try. Our waitress didn't come by to refill our drinks. My neice had a long hair inside her pancake that she pulled out. I tried to tell a waitress about it but she left while I was still talking to her. So, my husband took it to the front and showed another waitress the hair and the uneaten pancake. She didn't apologize and just said, "Oh, that's a long hair." Seriously? Never go out for breakfast but husband decided he wanted breakfast and we were going to go to ihop but he looked up breakfast places and Tommy's popped up and seen a picture of a waffle with strawberries, instantly knew that was the place I wanted to try. I've passed by it numerous of times but never tried it and now I regret all the times i didn't eat here. The waffle with strawberries combo is what we decided on and we were not disappointed. The strawberries were fresh and it had the perfect amount of whipped cream. I highly recommend this place for breakfast will be returning. read more

I've been back 4-5 times since my last review. I've still only had the breakfast but have tried a few varieties now. The French Toast is too soggy and not grilled right like they use old oil or something, not sure. I know they leave the bread in the egg too long before grilling it. Bacon is still not good, will never order again. But everything else is fine, eggs, ham and hash browns, etc. But what keeps me coming back are my parents. The senior plate prices is a very good deal. Plus the place is stupid convenient and the service is good. Only service complaint is they don't take your plates away after you are done unless you ask them to and you have to search for sugar from other tables. 3.5 stars but I'll round it up. read more

Ive given this place three tries as I just moved into stockton from the country and have had a hard time finding breakfast. The first time I was here it literally took over 10 minutes for me and my room mate to be acknowledged which was very frustrating since we were sitting out the counter...right in front of them. The greetings are something they need to work on. That being said I havnt disliked anything I have had there and they have a pretty big selection at a decent price...some of the best I have seen around the area so far. It is also very clean and the staff is polite once they actually acknowledge you and get the ball rolling! Moral of the story: I will continue to go back since the food is good and its close to my home. I would recommend it to people, but tell them to be prepared to wait a little bit. read more

Today we decided to try Tommy's as we had never been there. Shame on us!!!! The menu is extensive and we both ended up with the Biscuit Debris. A lot of food for less than $10. You can get lost reviewing the menu as it's huge. Service was quick and very friendly. We were surprised when we got there (8:30AM) the place wasn't even full. However, by the time we left it was quickly filling up. We must have hit that sweet spot between the early birds and early lunch crowd. We will differently be back. read more

Great food and a nice menu selection. The place is clean and plenty of seating. The only problem I had was with the staff. My waiter was not familiar with the menu and kept returning to my table to ask what I ordered. I had breakfast, told him I wanted wheat toast and a side of bacon with my omelet. I had to ask for the bacon again after he brought my omelet and never did get my toast. The two staff members sat behind the counter chatting the whole time I was there. Sooo I first made a review for Tommy's and gave them 4 stars because of the young man server we got. He was very nice he didn't know the menu very much and he kept forgetting stuff but it was alright because you can tell he was working hard to make us happy. The other employees looked like they had a bad attitude. I went back a second time hoping the service would be better. It was worse. So I changed to 2 stars. Idk what it is about this place but they do not say anything when you first walk in. They just look at you for a bit then say you can seat where ever you want. Okay that would be nice if the tables I wanted to sit at were clean. This happened on my first visit too. Me and my boyfriend sat down and waited a while for a menu. When a waitress comes up she asks if we've seen a menu and apologizes. I ordered the corned beef and hash. It was good. But after our waitress gave us our meal we never saw her again. I had to hunt someone down to get some more damn coffee! My coffee cup was empty for so long that the tiny drops of coffee left at the bottom of the cup dried up and became a stain on my cup! :'( gosh man nothing is worse than bad service.
