Nice little spot. I've been twice and the food was really good for breakfast. Lunch was only OK. The service is slow and you have to ask for stuff like straws and extra napkins more than once. I suggest.the staff review the menu so they know what comes with what. When I ordered breakfast they forgot my potatoes and by the time I reminded him and he brought it out, my other food was cold. Second time for lunch I ordered something that the menu.describes as "served with sauteed mushrooms and onions" The waiter brought it out without the mushrooms. I had to approach the counter to get his attention and mention the mushrooms were missing. He asked me if I wanted a side order and I said the menu said it came with it. He looked confused but eventually brought me a plate of basically raw mushrooms. I think this place has decent food at a decent price but they either need to educate their servers more or hire better servers with prior experience. I only gave a 2 due to the service. The food is actually a 3. I will probably try it again but I will wait a few weeks til the staff figures out what they are doing. PS Try the tilapia! The couple next to us did and it looked great! However the lady behind us had biscuits and gravy and I heard her complain that they were cold :( read more

I like Tommy's, I like that staff and the owners and the menu. What I really would like is breakfast without politics. If I go in one more time and see Fox News on the TV I will leave and never go back. Before the pandemic I was weekly regular this was my Sat or Sunday Breakfast. Going in this morning and seeing that garbage on the TV just set me on edge. I will give it one more try. read more

My first visit was a good experience in regards to the food. The service, not so much. A friend and I walked into to a completely empty restaurant at 3pm on a weekday. Only server was a young girl behind the counter on the phone. We were not greeted so we chose the only clean booth. After 5 min the girl got off the phone and brought us menus. The remainder of the service was mediocre. The food (eggs over hard, pancakes & hash browns) were good and prepared just as I ordered them. I really liked the crunchy hasbrowns. I don't write to many reviews, I'm not a critic, this place was nice, food was good to, I had the rib eye, and fiancé had the paradise omelet, they were a bit slow, but extremely friendly and very attentive, they did sadly forget my biscuits and gravy and my fiancés spinach she added to the omelet, but they were quick to offer solution, ad reduced our already cheap bill, prices were very decent, and again food was good, if they get on the ball about pushing orders out a little faster and not forgot one item, place would be money :) read more

What is not to like about Tommy's nice servers and classic breakfast done right. I love their chicken fried steak with over easy eggs but lately my new thing has been the chorizo skillet. Perfectly spiced chorizo, crispy home fried potatoes, bell peppers onions and cheese topped with your choice of two eggs. The perfect breakfast to cure a hangover or just a big appetite I never leave hungry. I really only frequent Tommy's for breakfast but have had a burger a couple of times also very good... Superb in every way! I met a group of "breakfast" friends at Tommy's this week--our first time. We were so pleasantly surprised by the wonderful atmosphere, windows all around, and very comfortable seating options. Our waitress was professional, friendly, helpful and patient. The food was AWESOME and priced affordably. I can't say enough about the fresh fruit--perfectly ripe but not over ripe! And a healthy portion! Went on a Saturday about 2 pm. No problem getting a seat. Staff was friendly, menu had a good selection. Decor was new and inviting. I ordered Country Fried Steak, $7.29, we didn't wait to long for food, presentation on plate was good, food tasted good, also. We been here several times for breakfast before grocery shopping on Sunday mornings (at least 10+). We have actually ordered the same meal each time which is plenty for us to get the day started. The waitresses are always very nice but I do notice that they seem to rush you a little..... it's good for a quick breakfast. We have talked about trying it for dinner but we are still on the fence about that...it doesn't really have a relaxing dinner feel to it. I enjoy Tommy's for breakfast. I love the Create Your Own omelette and really enjoy the healthy options they give you. You can really get your breakfast cooked the way you want it here and for a great price. Place is small and a little tight and the waitresses don't bring around coffee as often as they should but I do like this place. It's been a regular spot for me for over a year now. read more

My first visit to Tommy's Cafe was for dinner. Upon entering we received a friendly greeting from the waitress who told us to seat ourselves. The restaurant was clean and there were plenty of tables, they also had four booths and lots of counter seating. There were about 10-12 people seated when we arrived. The menu had a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner items to select from that are served anytime of the day. My wife and I decided to split the chicken fried steak dinner which the waitress told us was really alot of food, glad that we did!!!! The chicken fried steak was delicious, the green salad was fresh and crunchy and the homemade dinner rolls were to kill for!!! As we were eating the place filled up and most of the table were taken. This is a busy place!! I noticed many of the reviews complained about the service. My waitress was nice but I wouldn't say engaging. She was über busy and doing the best she could. Came in on a busy weekend. One of our breakfasts had eggshells in it and two out of the three orders were over cooked. We had to ask for silverware and refills. Also, asked for more sugar, which didn't come until the end of the meal. By this time things had considerably slowed down, but the service didn't improve. Came here this past Sunday. (March 26th) it was a great experience. Food was excellent, I ordered the corn beef. The proportion wasn't overwhelming, definitely fulfilling. Due to the reviews, we were a little apprehensive about this place, but it turned out to be wonderful! I always end up getting the biscuit debris, which is basically biscuits and gravy with ham and sausage. Yes, it is as good as it sounds. The food here is delicious and is good, old "Sunday breakfast" food. The only problem I have, is sometimes the soda tastes as though the machine has been cleaned a little "too well." Which, I'm happy its clean, but I don't want soapy tasting soda. As probably noted in my other reviews, I'm sensitive about service. Not in the "I need everything perfect or I will just die" kind of way. I'm pretty laid back, usually just want an offer for a refill and I want my order taken in a reasonable amount of time. However, when I get bad service (really slow, angry waiters, etc), I do notice and I usually won't return to an establishment, even if the food is amazing. However, I've never had bad service here. No, its not perfect and sometimes it does get a bit rushed (especially on Sundays), but they are constantly improving. Each time we go here, the service gets a bit better. From the beginning, the people here have always been nothing but friendly and sweet to us, which is always going to make me happy. The first few times, they forgot a few things and the seat yourself/wait to be seated quandary was confusing, but it seems to have gotten better as time goes on and now I have no complaints! I won't return to this place ever again. The first time we went there we were standing there for 20 minutes. There were tables opened and bo one told us whether we needed to wait to be seated. So we left. The second time we went I ordered the vegetarian omelet. When I startef to eat it I noticed there was bacon and sausage in itI had them take it back and remake it. I asked very politely bc I don't like to anger the people that make my food. When I got it back there was only a few pieces of vegwtables in it. They didnt even discount thw omelet for their mistake. I eat there quite frequently because i work so close. The hamburger & fries are very yummy. Although the last time I went I ordered the chicken burger I think it's called? Well it was very dry not alot came on it and for some reason there was bacon on it. I do not eat bacon and I was very confused. I read over the menu again to see if I missed something.... Had steak and eggs with fruit. Got my steak medium rare. And instead of them putting the fruit in a bowl or on the side they put it all on one plate and my fruit was all bloody. First time here. The service was really good. The veggie omelet was so heavenly! The eggs were so silky soft and stuffed full of veggies. My husband got a bacon, cheese omelet and he loved the bacon. Very satisfied! I ordered the chicken fried steak and my mom ordered the two eggs, bacon and hash browns. We got our food very fast and it was hot and delicious! The steak was so tender you could cut it with a butter knife, yet crispy and delicious on the outside even though it was covered in gravy. The biscuits were kind of hard but still delicious. The chicken fried steak came with hash browns, two eggs, and the biscuits and gravy and only cost $10.75. The wait staff are very friendly and kind, our waitress made sure our table wasn't too crowded and we were in and out in about 30 minutes. Will definitely go again. read more

This place has gone downhill. Service is the worst possible. I ordered a chef salad and it was smaller than usual. I ordered onion rings and the were burnt crumbs.
