Its been 20 years since I've had their beef ribs because in Sacramento they've been closed down .So once I saw these guys right down the way from my hotel I was like game on! Once we were seated it took a min because just one waitress was helping a large family but once she got to us she was amazing! Our food was so delicious ...we started with the onion loaf which is a must ,also get their sweet bbq sauce with it. Then our house salad with ranch was ginormous and so fresh! Then our main coarse...beef ribs for me and my wife had shrimp scampi pasta. Food was prompt and fresh...my ribs were juicy,hot, and hit the spot! I had The Ultimate Grilled Power Combo this comes with two sides, ribs, steak and shrimp. My steak was prepared as asked, but some how it was chewy beyond belief.. I couldn't even eat it. The shrimp was pretty good because it was grilled. The ribs had kept the moisture but there was NO flavor at all on them. I had gotten a side of Mac and cheese and it tasted of sometime I got from the buffet line. All of my food did. The soups tasted water down and almost no flavor as well. Went over here for dinner after a Disneyland trip. It's my first time here, or any Tony Roma's. The place is big and can hold big party tables fine. The service is pretty good, but for the price of the food, I think it's not worth it. I'm no connoisseur for steak houses, but it did not blow me away like the prices did. Tony Roma's doesn't serve food so much as a parody of food. It is brilliant performance art that critiques everything that is wrong with modern casual dining chains by amplifying every cynical strategy employed by crappy restaurants around the country. I started the meal by violently spitting out a bite of the industrial-grade sponge that I had foolishly assumed was bread. It looked like bread, and had a vaguely bread-like odor and texture, but it tasted so foul that it couldn't possibly have been intended for human consumption. Next I moved on to the chicken nuggets. They aren't called "chicken nuggets" on the menu. Instead they're referred to as "boneless bites". As I'm writing this, it occurs to me that the omission of the word "chicken" from the name of whatever I ate is quite ominous and terrifying. Anyways, these nuggets are just like the ones you get from the fast food joints: frighteningly calculated reshaped chicken(?) meat. This particular incarnation was coated with buffalo sauce, or rather a very salty red sauce that resembled buffalo sauce. This brings me to the culinary theme of the night: salt. Tony Roma's puts obscene amounts of salt in EVERYTHING. We got take-out, but I assume that if you dine in, they serve seawater instead of tap. My wife got the blue cheese burger, which had a patty that looked okay, but was served on the saddest, most neglected bun I've ever seen. "Should we butter or toast this, and put on some mayo or an aoli, chef?" asked one kitchen worker. "No," said the Chef, "Let its mass-produced blandness be celebrated. Take it out of that plastic bag and dump it right on the plate. Actually, wait. Put some salt on it." I ordered the beef ribs. They were extremely salty, but fortunately I was able to mask this by covering them with the BBQ sauce which was even saltier. The ribs were greasy and tough, like a Brooklyn auto mechanic. Other than salt and pepper and salt and salt, they had no flavor. Picture bland beef jerky. Now picture it under a mound of salt. There. You've got it. The cole slaw was salty. The blue cheese dressing was salty. The fries were salty. My wife's mashed potatoes were... actually I didn't try them... but I know in my soul that they were salty. All this salt might not have been so horrible if it were used in combination with other seasonings, but alas, it was the only flavor of note on top of criminally bland food. If you were to remove all the salt, you'd be left with a meal fit for a nursing home. In conclusion: you'll want to dine elsewhere, unless you are an ancient Roman soldier for whom salt is currency, in which case... jackpot. read more

I am a believer in second chances but both nights we visited this location service was very slow. I will tell you that we sat at the high tops in the bar area. We ordered the Barbecue Chicken Tender platter. After walking back a block back to the hotel to eat, I noticed that there was only a dozen packs of ketchup. I called to ask for a manager for a complaint because ketchup is NOT barbecue sauce for chicken tenders. The manager stated "we don't give barbecue sauce on take out orders". How can dry chicken tenders that stated BARBECUE tenders on the menu be served with that type of caring and service, and that manager feedback? Disgusting waste of $16+. read more

We came here and ordered vegetarian food. I know it sounds silly, but it was the most convenient place to eat. The staff here works VERY VERY hard. They treated us like VIP's even though our tab wasn't big. The food was good. Sure, it's corporate food, but it hit the spot and was well prepared and served. All staff, from the hostesses to the server to the busboys, were extremely friendly and they work their butts off. Now that's good management! Expect a lot of food here. Boutinful beef ribs were overcooked (burned meat). Even the shrimps'n salmon and its side were overcooked (rice was hard and shrimps were freaking salted). The service was not good too. We asked for switching our table because the one near us was making too much noise. Our waiter said yes but another one said no (maybe because of tips' system). First, their Onion Loaf is killer! But not much else. Menu is average food. I grew up on it. Every birthday was Tony Roma's for the Onion Loaf. Ribs have always been on the pricey side here. The original BBQ sauce is tasty, it makes the ribs. Beyond that they are meaty and cooked tender, but lack seasoning. Steaks are nothing here, flavorless and again overpriced. Avoid their panini as they don't even use a press, with flavorless chunks of chicken. Shrimp are always overcooked here. Like most everything else, drinks are on the expensive side as well. Service is below average. Long waits are common. So I guess the three stars are really just for Onion Loaf and nostalgia, because they truly have little else going for them. read more

My baked potato skin was somehow so dry it felt like tree bark trying to peel itself away from the sort of soft center. My steak was cooked to my standards but it had obviously been frozen beyond return before serving it to me. I came in expecting mediocre steak place and got terrible steak place so. One star! If I can give this place no stars i would. The service was horrible. It took about 10 minutes to get our drinks. When they finally took our food order it took the food an extremely long time to come out. The ribs were dry and the waiter never came to ask how the food was. Never asked to refill our drinks. It was not busy and there was staff standing around watching an angels game. When I asked for a manager it took them another 10 minutes to get someone. Once the manager came he did not seemed concerned at all just gave us a 20% discount of our bill. It was a slap in the face. I had horrible service here tonight. We put our name on the list and where told we would wait about 15 minutes, once we had been waiting about 25 we asked how much longer and we were told that our name was accidentally already crossed off the list and that we would be the next people sat. They then sat a group of 2 and a group of 3. When they finally did call our name they were still setting up the tables when we got to them so we had to stand around and watch. Thought it would get better from there but my soda was flat and when I asked for a new one it took 10 minutes before I was told what I wanted was out and I'd have to pick something else and there was a hair in my friends salad. I was expecting sub-par tourist chain food... what I received was the best most attentive service ever from Consuelo, she was amazing. Never had an empty drink or lacked anything! Rudy the bartender made me the most amazing perfect martini I've ever had, besides making it myself... and I'm picky lol the food was actually really good too. It didn't taste microwaved like Applebee's or chilis. It was A really good steak, perfectly cooked and ribs that melted in my mouth. This will be my go to next time we visit Disney! Let me paint you an image.... Wake up early in the morning drive to Anaheim, check into your hotel, grab some coffee and walk to Disneyland and California Adventures.... Spend the entire day having fun, walking around, and saving room for a fantastic ribs dinner right across the street... around night time, walk back to the hotel shower, get ready head out to dinner. Walked into Tony Roma's... umm No wait time? Perfect! We're Starving!!!! Get seated all the way in the left hand side in a booth by the wall. First thing I notice is how much dust there was on the edge on the wall. Second thing I notice is how dead this place is (now I know why). There were 3 other tables besides us, and no one at the bar. Waiter comes by and got our drink order (two waters) brings us some bread and walks away. We looked at the menu (not that we needed to, we've ate at other Tony Roma's before and we knew what we wanted). Waiter comes back with the waters and took our order. Full order of The Original Baby Back Ribs... Sides: Broccoli, Corn. Full order of The Original Baby Back Ribs.... Sides: Mashed potato, Corn Food came out 15 min late, as soon as the waiter put the food down he was about to walk away when the bf stopped him and asked for bbq sauce. (good thing to since he didn't pass by at all after that) Food was COLD! I was shocked, don't they make this as you order? how is it still cold? Corn was cold, ribs were cold, mashed potato was like hard cold mud, it was so uneatable. The ribs were so tiny that we didn't even get close to being full. I looked around for the waiter and he was standing around talking to the bartender, and then walked away and chit chatted with the hostess. Remember this entire time he didn't stop by to check on us to see if we needed anything else or how the food was. We finished our disgusting food and put our napkins in the plate, and waited..... 6 min later he came by... "so we need any boxes?" not even asking if we need dessert or anything and just put the check on the table. We said no and he walked away.... we put card to pay, and waited another 4 min for him to come back to take the check, it took him 1 min to process it and back. Never have I had such horrible service, with equally horrible food at any Tony Roma's before. 3 years ago we had stopped by and had burgers here and we remember it being very dry and disgusting. (thats why we had gotten the ribs this time but it was a horrible experience) Never will we be eating at this Location again! When walking in you will smell the bathrooms, be seated quickly (which should have told me something being dinner time across from Disneyland) and have great service. There is free valet parking as well. That is where the few positive stop. You will pay $150 for food that you can barely get down, rubbery chicken and over salted food. It is terrible. I do not like leaving negative reviews one bit but I couldn't resist on this one. When has one ever ordered a rack of baby backs and pushed them away after a 1/4 way through. It was a first for me. Not coming back. Ordered the shrimp pasta since it was a good $10-$20 cheaper than what variety of food they are known for. My roommate and his father took me last night and there were positives but none of them are involving the food. Pros: - Free valet parking. (Which would cause an issue if they didn't. The parking lot has what appeared to be 30 spots total) - Nice and professional staff. - Clean Cons: - WAY TOO FUCKING EXPENSIVE. - Food quality is a 3/5 stars. I tried some ribs my roommates father ordered, they were soft and tasty like most ribs, but is not worth close to the $30 for that and a small scoop of mashed potatoes. - The shrimp pasta I had was okay. Sauce was dull, shrimp was very dry and chewy, and the pasta was too wet (considering the seafood was opposite, I wondered how that happened). - Next to Disneyland so there will always be a ton of traffic via foot or vehicle. - Total bill was a little over $75 which blew us all out of the water. Didn't think adding two sodas, and two of the same pastas would tack on another $45. Overall, the place has its charm, but definitely not worth it if you are financially challenged and or picky about food quality. read more

Good ribs. Good sauce. This restaurant fills its niche well. Big tables of families after a day at Disneyland. Plenty of kids choices. Nice racks of ribs - not as good as Carsons or Robinsons in Chicago, but come on, this is Disneyland's mass marketing Mecca. Our server was working on the run, but still did a good job. The ribs were good: tender and falling off the bone. Good selection of sauces/rubs/styles and meat cuts (ribs, baby back, beef ribs and chicken). Yeah, its a bit on the fancy side for a respectable bbq joint, but I was able to overlook that especially after the second margarita. Wine list was pretty worthless, basically merlot and white zinfandel. Stick with the mixed drinks. read more

I can't even remember the last time I ate at a Tony Roma's but the bf and I wanted takeout close by the place we were staying at. We ordered by phone before we left the hotel and headed out towards the restaurant. We were there within 5 minutes and our food was done in less than 15! I was really impressed since the restaurant was pretty busy and our order included a well done burger. They were also nice enough to give us two free medium drinks to go! I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta and it was one of the best pastas I've had in a while (I love me some pasta so anyone that knows me would know I don't make these statements lightly). The pasta was not overcooked and the sauce was creamy and had enough Cajun kick without being salty. I wish I had some more to eat now! Because of this experience I'll be eating Tony Roma's more frequently! Hopefully the other locations closer to home will provide the same excellent service and food! read more

I was very disappointed with Tony Roma's tonight. I have not been to one in along time, and I will most differently will not go to one for along time. The waitress did not introduce herself to start off right. My full rack of baby backs were dry, they only brought one little dish of sauce for the whole table. At the end no wipes or warm towels were brought for the sticky hands. Big lull between appetizers and dinner . Not a great impression my first night at Disneyland . The stoli martini was water down with vermouth. Would not recommend to families or anyone. read more
