1.7 stars to be nice? We came here for our mom's birthday dinner because she's been wanting Tony Roma's since she hasn't had it for years, however now we know why and why we aren't planning to come back. I do have to say she did go to a different Tony Roma's that is now no longer open and so this would be the next closest to us. Parking is shared with the motels and there's also valet available. Wait was long due to it be dinner time and we can tell that most of the guests dining in were coming straight after their Disney day as it is just across the street from Disney. Good location for their business with the Disney goers. It wasn't necessarily crowded and not all the tables were filled, but service really lacked with our server. I want to assume they were short on servers, but it was very slow to wait for someone to tend to us and when she did, she wasn't enthusiastic about it - and not that she had to be, but at least be friendly and it was just very clear she was there for the job and that was it. I swear she didn't smile even once throughout our whole time here. I get it - we all have those days and I'm not trying to dismiss that it could've been one of those days for her, however I'm a big customer service person and I believe that it's very important when in this business. I mean she literally did the bare minimum of taking our orders and when I mean bare minimum, I really mean that - as in didn't even offer us any other choices of sides. I had forgotten that we wanted to see what other side options were available to switch out for the rib meals. Instead of her asking if we just wanted the slaw and fries that came with it or if we wanted to adjust it for anything else that they'd have, we had to ask her if sides were able to switch out. And when we did ask, all she said was yes and didn't tell us what until we asked her what the options were. Our appetizers came out faster than our drink orders. Potato skins were my favorite from the apps but just the same as any other potato skins with toppings. The shrimp tasted like honey walnut shrimp without the walnuts, mozzarella sticks were like the ones you get frozen, and the onion loaf was disappointing and so soggy and oily. House salad was just a regular salad with dressing on the side and potato soup was tasty and warm. The drinks were ok. Not a fan of the pina colada, white sangria and melon drink was good but we couldn't tell if there was alcohol in there. We got two orders of the st. louis ribs and one order of the baby back - all three with different sauces. The sauce was on pretty lightly and so I honestly couldn't tell the difference. We preferred the baby back over the st. louis though. Subbed some of the sides for the mashed potatoes (my sister and husband did not like the powdery taste of it - sure there were potato skins but they felt like that was an illusion that was added, I don't know lol), baked potato which came with butter and sour cream, 4 pieces of asparagus, and the regular fries and slaw. My brother got the cheesy burger, which looked like a regular restaurant cheeseburger. Nothing stood out and everything was mediocre. Our waters were never refilled once and my brother drank his cup pretty much right when we were seated and without that being refilled, he went on to drink my mom's and mine throughout the meal.. My favorite part were that the waiters cleaning up our plates were very friendly and smiley. We did get a complimentary birthday ice cream scoop for her and that was nice, but we had to state that we were celebrating and asked if they did anything for birthdays, versus being asked if we're here to celebrate anything special - which I appreciate so much when restaurants do that wherever we go. We have plenty of better rib places to go to and would've preferred taking our mom elsewhere but since this is what she thought she wanted to re-experience with Tony Roma's, she got it and now she doesn't care to come back. Gratuity was included so maybe that's why she didn't care as much with our table of 6 - no excuse though and that should not change anything with the quality of service. Wait was about 30-35 minutes which was okay because of course they can't control that but after we were seated service was absurdly slow. We eventually asked if our order could be taken and the server gestured with his hands saying we needed to wait? Just felt rude and uncomfortable. No refills, no asking if we need anything else after our food came out. Eventually a different server brought us a receipt and maybe I misunderstood the exchange but we went up to the front to pay because we were waiting so long and the main server assumed we were dine and dashing and said "you need to pay" lol which obviously was an extremely bad look. We couldn't even get a receipt because it was taking so long. Extremely unpleasant experience, the food was okay mostly tasty but nothing phenomenal and a couple dishes were a bit dry. Came to Tony's for my friends birthday dinner. It was not our first pick but they had open table to seat our party of 14. We were all pretty hungry as we spent most of the day apple picking. Menu had an array of items to grab. I got 1/4 slab of ribs with side of Mac. Ribs were good and hit the spot. Mac was underwhelming and overpriced. Very impressed by the drink menu. I want to put bubble wrap around this location, so nothing ever happens to it. This is the last Tony Roma's in our area and we love it so much. Parking is valet, so bring some cash to tip the attendant. I love to sit at the bar. I forgot the bartenders name that has been working there for decades, but he is awesome. He is personable and makes a great martini. I can always count on a perfectly cooked steak here. I am a sirloin girl, who likes my meat cooked rare, or sometimes medium rare. They get it right every time here. The sides are also great. My husband ordered a cheeseburger and fries last time, and he loved it. This place was closed for quite some time during the start of the pandemic. I am glad to see it back open and thriving, because I plan on eating here for years to come. read more

We came here for my daughters sweet 16 birthday dinner after spending the entire day at Disneyland. We were dead tired from all the walking, and Tony Roma's was right on our way back to the hotel, and around 5:00pm on Sunday it was fairly dead. So it was a great choice for dinner we thought. Our server was very sweet and attentive! We ordered a couple drinks, my husband got the Pina Colada and it was sweet and delicious! Unfortunately I ordered the Rum Punch and I did not like it much, the main flavor was rubbing alcohol! Now for dinner, I have not been to a Tony Roma's in many, many years, probably over 10 years. I remember their dinners being huge, and if I remember correctly they always included a big salad too. So when we ordered the full rack of ribs, I decided to split it with my daughter as she can never finish a plate of food on her own anyway and I remember the food being big and filling. Well, I guess things got reduced down through the years? The rack of 12 ribs was very small, reminiscent of the ribs at Applebee's. The baked potato was great, the green beans were loaded with fresh garlic and I have to say, those beans were my favorite. No salad included. Splitting this meal meant both me and my daughter walked out of there hungry....so $80 not including tip was steep to walk away hungry. We decided to go there for dinner and found that it was directly across the street from Disneyland. Apprehensive about parking - but it was not a problem! Pulled right in to a spot when we got there. We decided to have dinner at Tony Romas while strolling down to the Disneyland Park. We got in there around 5pm and there were no waiting we were seated right away. Overall food and service was good. The appetizer sampler was Great!! It had everything (blooming fried onion, spinach dip w/tortilla chips, mozzarella sticks, chicken strips) and they serve warm buttery sour dough bread! Omg! The only downside was the restaurant's lighting is dim and it made me really sleepy after such a heavy meal so remember to order coffee because next stop is Disneyland! My dad was in the mood for ribs on our walk back from Disneyland. We went in got sat right away. The place seems dated and the room we were in seemed like an afterthought. After driving 9 hours to get here, our group of 7 decided to go Tony Romas for dinner. Every dinner was not good except the kids meal. My steak was overcooked and tough. Green beans were good. It's sad when you remember a restaurant for being 5 stars and we try it again it's three stars. This time it was for the quality of the food and the poor service. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, and the server seem to be more interested in talking to the other server rather than helping the three tables that he had. Or appetizer platter came out cold, and who likes cold onion rings? Or a cold spinach dip? Especially when the spinach dip is supposed to be warm. The chips were stale, and potato skins were also on the cold/ lukewarm side. Everyone agreed that the ribs were overly salted, and are broccoli was so undercooked that I was practically raw and we can barely cut it with a knife. My brothers medallions came out more well done then medium rare and yet again was cold, so I'm not sure if it's been sitting in the back, or what they were doing with our food to have each dish come out on the lukewarm/cold side. Two stars for overly salted expensive ribs, raw broccoli, a cold appetizer platter, and even colder service. On Saturday the 13th of May we went back to one of our Favs Tony Roma's in Anaheim CA. Only problem this time was that we went an hour before closing. No choice because My Dodgers come first! A bit on the small side for the cost and although I ordered it medium, it was a little on the tough side and there was a lot of fat. I should have stuck to my original order of Beef Ribs which one person in my party did order and didn't want to share! (J/K) But I definitely will stick to the beef ribs the next time! Other portions on the plates such as vegetables were pretty skimpy but again in sure it was because of the time of our arrival... As tired as they were the servers were pretty good! So disappointed I was not able to stay and enjoy a meal at this establishment. Usually one of my favorite places to eat when I'm in the area, but this time around the horrible sewage stench was unbearable, which felt like was coming from the center of the dining room. Can officially say goodbye to this brand. Went here hoping it was the Tony's I remember. It is not. The quality of the meat is not great. Service was okay. We were there at 1 pm lunch, and it was empty. No one else and I should have taken this as a sign. I remember when the manager would come to each table to check in. I think I saw the manager peak out but went back to the dining room that is not used where staff is hanging out. We saw the busboy more often than our waiter.
