Another overrated franchise from another state. They keep bringing in these franchises from another state that are not really that good. We tried the fried avocado taco, the green chili pork taco, and the chicken taco. We also had a side of rice and beans. Tried the queso and chips, too. The only items worth mentioning were the chips because they were light. The refried beans, that had a nice sweet taste and some kind of pickled condiment that came with the chicken taco. The food is good when done right, but it is very inconsistent. Sometimes it will be good, other times their fried chicken will be burned and pieces so small it's uneditable. We get it to go frequently and half the time our order is missing sides we have requested. It will be written correctly on the order receipt but not be in the bag. Very frustrating. Anytime we talk to management they make it right, but it's a hassle and a pain and I feel like a bad customer when I'm talking to management every other order. read more

Tried the carnitas (Green Chile pork) taco and the barbacoa (Democrat) and liked them both at the recently opened Queen Creek location. The tomatillo sauce was mild and could use a little more of the "sour"and "spicy" flavor but it was easily improved by the lime that came with both tacos. Quantity wise, it was worth the $5 they charged. Definitely will come back once the opening day/week crowd dies down to try the other tacos in the menu! The service was not the fastest but my server frequently checked the status of my order, even going back to the kitchen once or twice. From ordering to arrival, it took 20 minutes. As for the ambiance - it's a mix of a strip mall taco diner and a sports bar. I was by myself and found the bar with 4-5 large screens a pleasant way to try the tacos. If you do not want to sit at the bar, you line up and place your order, pay, and a placard with a number is given to you to place in your table, much like if you ate at one of the fast food location. read more

I ordered food online for pickup so that was a fairly easy process and parked in the carry out spots out front. Lots of seating inside and on the patio- so it's pet friendly! There's also a bar... When you walk in, there's no hostess booth or greeting. Just walk towards the back to the left and place your orders with the cashiers. But for takeout, you'll see the shelves to the right when you walk in. So when your order is ready, someone will place it there. I figured this out when I walked in and stood awk to the side. Lols I hate giving bad reviews but 3 of the 6 tacos I ordered were horrible. Also the tacos are just wrapped in thin tinfoil and the sauce from one of tacos leaked all over and soaked through the bag. So please look into packing takeout orders better. The chips and hillbilly queso were great though! I also appreciate the sauces being separate. *Baja shrimp - this was the best tasting one * Trailer park- my kids liked this since it's just a a big chicken tender with cheese in a tortilla. * Mofaux- made with that crumbled beyond beef meat. Good alternative if you don't eat meat. It's spicy so don't get this if you can't hang.. * Green Chile pork - carnitas. I wish I took a pic of this. Oh lawd it looked so unappealing. We visited Torchy's Tacos shortly after it opened. It was crowded with the line extending out the front door. We were initially expecting a sit down restaurant with waiter/waitress services but quickly discovered it was an order-from-the-counter establishment. We had to wait longer than expected for our food but, given how busy they were, that was understandable. We asked for more chips and, after it appeared our request had been forgotten, we asked a second person. The second person brought the chips and then, a few minutes later, the first person came to the table with chips. Eventually, our food showed up. First we have never had Torchy's before. Recommend 100%! A few months back we noticed a sign and couldn't wait! We got invited to give it a try and my mouth couldn't be happier! My son typically waits for us to give him bites of his food but more picky about eating all his food but he picked up his taco and really enjoyed it. The employees were super friendly made us feel welcomed which made the experience more enjoyable. The Gentleman who took our took the time to explain the menu and items to us very knowledgeable about the menu and what he was recommending to us! Went in around 11am and it quickly got busy after we arrived. This place is a walk up, order, pay and find a seat kind of place. We opted for a seat at the bar though because my gf wanted to order a beer. We ordered the queso and it was amazing. We both then ordered 2 tacos each (even off the "secret menu") and could not finish all of it. We both ended up taking home a taco each. My daughter got to try one I brought home and she absolutely loved it. Happy to say that I'll definitely be bringing the whole family back the next chance I get. Sorry no pics!! This is a nice little restaurant in one of the shopping districts in Queen Creek. The restaurant is a little sterile in comfort but makes up for it with good service and food. They have a bank of screens so you can watch sports if you like. We prefer to eat at the bar and our bartender / waitress, Taylor, was very nice and knowledgabe about the menu. We were waited on right away. We had a couple of frozen margaritas. They were good but a little on the sweet side. We ordered an appetizer that featured chips, salsa, guacamole & queso. I liked all of that. I love some good warm chips and the salsa was very good. We both had tacos. There is a good selection. Be sure to ask about their "secret" menu. It was double date night in the QC so we planned to meet our friends at TT at 5pm. When we arrived, promptly as usual, the place was busy and getting toward packed. Wife found a table while I stood in line, one growing by the minute, and examined the menu. The wait continued ...and continued, just to order. There was ONE cashier for the growing line, who was very pleasant and very patient when I reached her. As you can tell from my pics, they had two other unmanned registers while the line went out the door and around the corner. Hmmm, staffing issues or poor planning for a Saturday night, I don't know. However, after a smooth ordering process the food came out surprisingly quick, properly prepared, and was quite tasty. Tasty enough that I def plan to return and brave the crowds. I had the Mr Orange (very flavorful if a tad salty) and the Crossroads (also flavorful and filling). We also became rewards club members prior to our visit and enjoyed the free chips/queso that comes with a new membership in the TT Club. The queso was quite muy bueno, some of the best I've had, anywhere. Note: Cell service in Queen Creek in general is crummy and at this area of Rittenhouse and Ellsworth it is dismal, spotty, inconsistent, and more often than not, non-existent. I live 10 minutes away so I know of what I speak. So, plan ahead if you expect to use ye olde cell phone to pass the time in line or attempt to download the TT app while there. Overall, we enjoyed our time at TT, will def return but if the service remains slow and oddly understaffed, that will dull our enthusiasm for TT. (I know many places have staffing issues with a lack of hired help but they had people there who were not on the register which would seem to be the one place you would want them to shorten the wait time. We left about 6 and they did have two registers going so they did fix it but that didn't impact my dining experience). We will return to see how they do the second time! I should have read the reviews before ordering. Our $80 dinner last night (6 tacos for delivery) was terrible. I ordered 2 Baja shrimp tacos and they came missing 4 standard ingredients, and 1 added ingredient. What was left was an incredibly salty, bland taco. Definitely not worth $9-probably more like $2. The other tacos in our order were also incredibly salty. The other reviews show how the food is declining along with the service. 0/10 read more

Prices are good. If you want quantity over quality for a cheap price this is the spot. Place is clean and well kept. For food we ordered the democrat, cross roads, kids quesadillas and two drinks. Meat was dry but had decent flavor profile. Things that can improved would be speed of service, customer service, and food quality. For insight, there was only one other group of 4 in the restaurant plus our small group less than 4. Order took more than 30min to receive. Requested salsa and Manager offered sauces but never came back with the sauces or salsa. Rice was under cooked and tortillas tasted like they came out the package. After waiting for salsa for 10min told manager we would cancel the sauces and informed him the rice was undercooked and asked to take it back. He seemed very nonchalant and just said "okay" to canceling of the sauces and rice quality. read more

This place is located in Queen Creek on the West side of Ellsworth, south of Bell Bank Park and south of Costco. It is located behind Buffalo Wild Wings off Maya Rd. You order at the counter but they have plenty of small tables as well as a bar and several TVs. Originally I was going to give 4 stars because for the price the size of the tacos is small. I ordered 4 tacos, 2 chicken fajita and 2 green Chile pork (see photos) and that was about $21. I was still hungry. They taste great. My friend who comes a lot said that the Trailer park (fried chicken) and Crossroads (brisket) are also good. They do donate to charities and have a taco of the month for that as well. They also are green. So all things factored in the price is Ok. I just wouldn't come if really hungry unless you are ready to spend a decent amount for tacos. The workers are very friendly and it is a good atmosphere. Even though they are named Torchy's, it actually has no relation to ASU which is good or bad depending on if you like ASU or UA. read more

I've had a lot of bad days in a row. I went in and ordered way too much food to go. The person at the front was amazingly nice. Very helpful and friendly. I got my food and ran to the car where I wanted to dive into the Guac right away, but I couldn't find any of the dips I ordered. I went back in to see if maybe a small bag was forgotten, and he immediately went to ask. Someone who I assume was the manager came out and let me know which bag the dips should've been in. I ran back to my car, and there were the dips in a bag I assumed was chips ‍ . They could've treated me like an idiot, and they didn't, and I truly appreciate that. Very good food! And very filling! I only finished one taco. The Baja Shrimp taco was my favorite by far! We also had the chips and queso and it was delicious!!! Highly recommend. They have a great variety of tacos, I really enjoy the Trailer Park but try to mix it up. Tried The Cougar for the first time, it was a good combination but a bit sweet for me. I've been to Torchys a few times and really enjoyed it but this location in particular seems to struggle a lot. They are incredibly slow to get food out. I ordered the Queso and it finally showed up 20+ minutes later solid as a rock and cold like it had been sitting out for a long period of time. The tacos finally came 10-12 minutes after the Queso and those were cold as well. None of this food should be cold. I haven't had this problem at other restaurants so not sure the problem here but it's happened twice in a row at this location in particular. Hopefully the owners can figure out the issue. read more

Queen Creek Torchy's needs to step up! Visited several locations in Texas and was super excited to welcome Torchy's to our neighborhood! Visited several times right after they opened and the service was consistently good, with fresh hot food, and good value for the money. The past few months things have gone downhill. Not sure if its new management or if staff are just getting complacent, but food takes forever to come out, and the less busy the restaurant is, the longer it seems to take. Last visit was almost 20 minutes before we received our order, and it was missing items. Overall, food and service is not up to par with what it was when they opened. Tacos are not "Damn Good" - arriving at the table cold, lacking much in the way of toppings, and looking like they've been dropped a few times before making it into the basket. The experience ordering mobile and picking up has been equally disappointing - items are not ready at the time indicated on the app - often 10 - 20 minutes after arriving does the food finally show up in the holding area. Lack of decent to-go containers results in tacos that look like they have been sat on, with sauces dripping out into the bag, and the appearance of what you get in a mobile order vs. onsite is not the same. We've been to other Torchy's in the Valley recently and have had a very positive experience, so hoping that QC staff and management can turn things around. read more

We've been waiting for Torchy's to open for months now- not so much with bated breath but with salivation! We've heard such good things. Once the doors were FINALLY open, we waited a couple weeks for the hype to die down. (I hate lines with a passion.) And yet, the first time we went, we still waited almost twenty minutes without moving at all. We left. Second time- about ten days later- we again waited about twenty minutes without budging. We left. Third time's the charm! Also- we ordered online. Upon pickup, food was hot n fresh n ready. And packaged beautifully. We happily gorged ourselves in our own kitchen. So- was it worth the wait? YES! The tacos were delish. Not the best one I've ever had ever, but super yummy. A perfect mid-level taco. A far cry better than your Del Taco or Taco Bell. (They don't even deserve to be in the same ballgame, really.) The real winners were the queso and guac. Holy moly. My mouth is watering just at the memory.
