I tried the Thai peanut 2.0 bowl and it had the perfect amount of spicy aioli on top. I subbed the regular rice with cauliflower rice to make it keto. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Definitely want to come back and try more!

The food, service, drinks and ambiance all wonderful. The restaurant, cafe, outside garden and sushi bar all beautiful. Great combination of woods, metal, brick, concrete and plants. Very casual relaxed vibe. Seating comfortable. Parking easy in west side market lot - which is free if less than 2 hrs. The beer selection changes but menu is color coded by type of beer so easy to make a selection. Tried a mango weissen beer - great light summer beer. White sangria also delicious. The biggest hit on food was the sweet potato skins with pork belly and spicy sauce. Terrific combo.

I love it here, the vibes are so good and I got the chance to sit outside which was lovely. Service was fast and the waitress knew a lot about the menu which was really nice. Lots of tv's outside which was nice to have and great for the atmosphere. All the food was hot and delicious. I will say I feel the appetizer portions like the wings are a bit small for the price but just know that going into it. The flavors rock. the Birria tacos in my opinion were my least favorite flavor wise, but still worth the try for sure. I am not keto but wow this food was awesome and you don't even realize they are making changes in order for it to be keto.

the nashville chicken was great and the wings were super crispy and both were keto! the bowls were good with great flavor and I like that they offer grass-fed steak and other protein options although it can be a bit of up charge....

Mid chicken sandwich. Tasted healthy and not that flavorful. Fries were good. Service was not that quick. Brussels were mid. Price wasn't mid. It was a little pricey. 26 buccaroos for sandwich side and soft drink which tasted below mid.

My wife and I were looking for a place to have dinner while visiting Cleveland after spending the afternoon at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. We found TownHall, and it wasn't far from where we were. We got lucky and found a parking spot on the street right across from the restaurant. When we went inside, we noticed there are two different sections--one for dining and the bar area, and another that appeared to be more for takeout and quick service. We were seated fairly quickly and chose to eat inside since it was getting later in the evening. I had found TownHall on Yelp but honestly didn't spend much time looking at the menu. I trusted some of the highly rated reviews from Elite Yelpers and figured we'd give it a try. Our server was very friendly and asked if we had been there before. When we said no, she took the time to explain the menu and how the restaurant focuses on organic and healthier ingredients. My wife and I don't typically dine at organic-focused restaurants, so we didn't realize that was TownHall's concept. She did a great job explaining the menu and pointing out some of the more popular items. My wife ordered the grass-fed burger with Brussels sprouts, and I ordered the steak bites with white rice from the appetizer menu. While we were waiting for our food, we witnessed something that was a bit disturbing. A customer had a dog sitting on a bar stool next to him. An employee brought over a cup of whipped cream, and the customer fed it to the dog directly on top of the bar. The dog then proceeded to lick the bar top. A short time later, someone brought the customer a plate of food, and he appeared to encourage the dog to eat from the bar area as well. Personally, I didn't think that was very sanitary and felt it could be a health concern. Thankfully, the food completely changed the tone of our visit. When our meals arrived, we were genuinely surprised by how good everything was. The grass-fed burger was cooked well and had great flavor, and the steak bites were outstanding. The sauce paired perfectly with the rice, and it ended up being one of the best dishes I've had on our trip. Despite the issue we observed at the bar, the food and service were excellent. Based on the quality of the meal alone, we would definitely consider returning the next time we're in Cleveland but after seeing the dog lick all over the counter and not get cleaned probably not. Would have given a lower star but the food was good management must have thought the dog at the bar was fine?

We stopped in for dinner at town hall on the fourth. This is a large restaurant bar with both a take out side and a sit down restaurant. Lots of TVs with sports playing. Our server, Gabby, was a character and very helpful. They have a large choice of on tap American beers. The menu is a bit eclectic, with a focus in 'healthy' options. We got fries, keto fried chicken, and steak bites. It was all solid.

Went to TownHall today for my friends bday brunch! We were in the private room upstairs. The service was excellent - fast and very nice server. The food was tasty - I got the Eggwich with potatoes. I didn't get a crepe but they looked amazing and huge. The food is VERY reasonably priced. My only complaint is that a single espresso martini was $20! Otherwise, I enjoyed and I will be back!

I was in town visiting a close friend, and she took me to some local spots around the Ohio City neighborhood. I had previously heard about TownHall from a coworker, so I suggested we make a stop there since we were in the area. First impression of the restaurant/bar was that the place was a great hangout spot. Spacious, festive decor, and several taps to choose from. How could one not like the ambiance of the place? We grabbed a couple of chairs at the bar. Service was so slow. There were two main bartenders covering the bar. One greeted us and handed us menus, but we never saw her again. A second bartender came around, and he was thankfully more attentive. He recognized we hadn't placed our food order yet and helped to place them for us. I ordered the keto wings, which were fine. I personally did not find anything special about them going through the "72-hour" process. The wings were much more tender than the drumsticks, which were no more tender than any other drumstick I've had elsewhere. Whoever put the BBQ rub had a heavy hand, so the Aji sauce helped to pare down all that salty seasoning. I would bail on the hot sauce. It's not that hot, and it reminded me of Carolina BBQ sauce with its vinegary-base if you're into that. My friend got the grilled cheese and tomato soup, which was cool. Flavorful, tasty, and comforting. I think it would've benefited with more cheese, but I thought it was a solid dish overall.

So this food was amazing. I was expecting sweet potato fries but was so pleasantly surprised when these slices came in front of me. They're seasoned perfectly. The nachos were also fantastic. Who knew chili would add such a flavorful touch? Vibes of the actual restaurant were very nice, the lighting was just the perfect amount of dark. oh and I also had a mock tail mojito that was 10/10. On top of all this it's healthy!!! I like knowing I'm putting something good in my body :) wish this was open in Florida!!!

This would be a 3.5 but rounding up because I Love all the GF options and attention to sourcing from organic farms at this restaurant. Truly a health conscious choice while still being upbeat and fun and having decadent and binge worthy options as well. The sausage was something I was excited about but it was cold and obviously just reheated and reheated. Oh well! Same for rosemary potatoes. Likely due to busy Sunday brunch. Flavors were great and the biscuit my husband got with the cheddar and sausage inside was delicious and moist and perfect. Great place for a game or a fun big group brunch!

Wow! Great spot in Ohio City --right over the river from Cleveland. With great food, amazing top notch service, and variety!! This place does coffee, smoothies, bowls, teas, pizzas, beer, tacos, burgers, and so much more. They rock on so many levels. The feel of the place is super chill and cool. Whether you want to watch the big game (they have multiple TVs), indoor and outdoor seating, getting a coffee or tea, or just getting up with friends they'll accommodate. Super nice and dog friendly! The service was fantastic, but I felt violently ill after eating here, after 6hrs of i/v fluids at Metro, they didn't have answers for me, but the nurses suggested avoiding in the future. Server was friendly and always made a point to walk around the ridiculously giant bar instead of sliding items across and I really appreciated that. Big negative is the "Transaction Fee" at 2.9% even if paying cash!!! That should be illegal, or at least warned very clearly before ordering.

Went for brunch for the first time and was totally impressed. Now I'm certain Townhall has cemented itself as my go-to brunch spot whenever someone visits from out of town. The dishes are indulgent and creative (that chicken and cinnamon roll has to be one of my favorite bites of 2025). Couldn't get enough of the eggs benedict either. Service is quick and friendly, with plenty of seating for larger parties. The space feels modern yet comforting. A really cool indoor/outdoor vibe. Overall total crowd-pleaser and I can't wait to visit for dinner and drinks. 5/5

Townhall- Simply. The. BEST! I celebrated my Birthday at Townhall this past Saturday and was especially excited for my out-of-town friends to try my favorite place! As always, the food was delicious, service was impeccable , and the overall experience was outstanding! So good, in fact, that we returned for brunch the next day (highly recommend the eggwhich-vegan version)! I have been coming to Townhall for years and have noticed that this is an establishment that constantly strives for improvement. Aaron and the entire Townhall team are inviting, knowledgeable, and personable. They are directly responsible for the positive vibes and good energy that permeates the atmosphere. I particularly enjoy the variety in vegan and vegetarian options and appreciate that there are designated nights focusing on different types of diets and dishes. Plus there is clarity in what goes into the making of every item on the menu, and I can count on enjoying healthier options w/out sacrificing flavor. Perhaps the best thing about Townhall is that it's a conscientious establishment; in addition to providing healthy options w high quality ingredients, Townhall is an avenue for local businesses to promote products/services via pop-up shops, seminars, etc. There are also workshops and events throughout the year where professionals are brought in to provide education on various topics relating to health and wellnes. While I don't really care for the clientele at certain times - like a crazy Friday or Saturday night where you just hear cackles and valley girl stories from afar (I'm sorry - I'm really not trying to judge) however I ADORE their menu and love love love a nice Saturday or Sunday brunch here. Shoot, I'll even eat here every day Monday - Friday dinner but I just have to get out before it turns pseudo clubby. I think that's how I know I'm getting old you guys! I - for a long while - have been doing a low carb diet on and off. I happen to be on a down trend (let's not talk about it - thank you Thanksgiving) but for most occasions that I eat at Townhall I've ordered some amazing Keto options. My fave fave fave are definitely the Keto wings. Give praise to those suckers my friend. It has a chimichurri sauce (don't mind my spelling botch) and they are so tender and fall right off the bone. I'm not even a wings girl usually but each time I come here now it's WINGS. And Brussels Sprouts. Hoot crap whatever glaze and citrus hints they throw on them are heavenly. Even the cauliflower bites are delish. Their menu is super favorable to the gluten, Keto, vegan friendly of the world and it's super appreciated when you need that. Also their honey latte was something inexplicably divine and I have yet to try something as amazing at my favorite local coffee joints. We had heard SUCH good things about this place and it has been on my Cleveland to-do list for awhile. My boyfriend and I went up for the Night Market (specifically for the Most Delicious Cookie Company) and stayed over night and hit this place up for brunch the next day. we had to wait about 45 minutes so we walked abound the market nearby to kill time. When we finally got seated, the menu looked really good, they have a create your own crepe station going on which is super cool, but i don't know why you have to get up from your table to go to the station and not just give your order to the server. Seemed like a pain in the butt so neither of us did it. i got the tacos with the beyond meat chicken in them - disregarding the meat substitute which i had never had before the flavor was just meh... I can't remember what my boyfriend ended up ordering but I do know his feeling on the food was also just "meh" Unfortunately we won't be back :( read more

Ok so I'm going to keep this review positive as many diners know....packed houses can get dirty...in multiple areas...let's just say bathroom were a filth and you pass by the kitchen and let's say I peaked in and damn.....regardless we still ate food and we're pretty impressed. Adam and I came here to have a small snack while on the road and left very happy. We walked in and walked towards the back where there is a counter where we could order. We ordered the nachos and some garlic fries. We were given a number and got to pick out a table. We picked a table towards the front next to a water station and some board games. The water station was cool because you could pick from different types of water which is pretty much unheard of. This is the only place I have ever been to that has this feature. The games were cool too. We did not play any but did glance at the cards for the never have I ever and enjoyed laughing. Our food came out quickly and we were very happy with our choices. The garlic fires were heavenly and just the perfect amount of garlic that if I asked my husband to smell my breath he wouldn't keel over and die but you still got the flavor. The nachos were a perfect mate as the flavors of those all mixed well with the fries. They were loaded and delicious! Our food was gone in about 15 minutes and they were a great 15 minutes. The restaurant had a cool vibe and I know that if I lived in the area I would want to be a regular here. I know I could see myself enjoying all of the drinks they serve along with trying so many different items on their menu. Overall, Adam and I were very ahoy with the decision to come here and we would totally come back again. I suggest it, especially for some fun time with friends. read more

My new favorite restaurant in Cleveland!! I'm used an an abundance of healthy restaurants in LA, and sometimes it's hard for me to find great quality healthy food in Cleveland. This restaurant was better than most in LA! The best parking option is the West Side Market parking lot behind the building. We went at 4pm on a Thursday so we were seated immediately. I loved the ambiance. It was modern but rustic with warm colors. The music was the perfect volume and I enjoyed the song choices. They have an extensive drink menu with lots of unique options. The honey latte was absolutely divine. Our server was very helpful and informed about the menu. There was a couple of times I had to flag someone down to refill my water, but overall their server was attentive. I had a great experience here and can't wait to return! read more

My husband and me ordered takeout and it was pretty good. Service was great with the cashier opening each box to make sure everything was inside. She also double checked for napkins and silverware. My husband got the farmer flatbread which had bechamel sauce, white cheddar, chorizo and an egg. It was to die for and a good size for the price. I got the food truck shrimp tacos and they were okay. The menu said rock shrimp, but I got really tiny little shrimp. The rest of the taco was filled with a cole slaw and guacamole. I asked for sour cream on the side. Outdoor seating was great and place was buzzing on a Friday night. Wine and food were good. We had two dogs with us and the staff were very accommodating. Music was moderately loud but good beats. Biggest issue was the smoking, cigar and cigarettes. Understandable because it's outdoors and young folks like to be rebellious with the cancer risks, but folks who don't like the smoke should be forewarned it is a possibility you could encounter. read more

Just left this place and I have to say I was impressed. First time in Cleveland, coming from OC Cali... and it's been a solid start. Hit up the sweet potato skins with pork belly to get it going, our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable, and topped it off with a southern style fried chicken sandwich that didn't disappoint. What a nice spot to hit up while in town. Happened to be vegan Monday. My friend happens to be half vegan. I loved the cauliflower and street tacos. We tried this place based on recommendations from friends. If it's your 1st time, and it's a weekend, I highly recommend to go to the "counter-service" section since the "sit-down-and-have-a-server-take-your-order" option might take longer (especially if you have kids). On a busy weekend night, our orders came out fast! The hubby ordered lamb chops and a "leg day" smoothie, our 2 kids got baked chicken tenders,almond butter-jelly sandwich, and milkshakes. I ended up getting a new york strip steak with sweet potatoes and corn. The hubby's lamb chops looked amazing, and he said that it was good. The almond butter-jelly sandwich was tasty(4-yr.old opinion), and the baked chicken tenders were decent, but had a "weird" texture (picky 7-yr. old). The milkshakes were good- chocolate and vanilla. My steak? I was underwhelmed and borderline disappointed. I ordered medium, and looked like it was well done. It did not help that the steak was underseasoned too! The side dishes were yummy, but c'mon! If the dish is $35, I certainly did not pay for the side dishes though. It would be nice if someone from the staff checks on the diners once food is served, but then again we made the choice to use the "counter-service" option. The idea of bringing my chopping board "plate" (with my disappointing steak) across the room, and then request to have them make a new one was, IMO, an inconvenience. Are we coming back? The hubs suggested yes, and perhaps don't order the steak next time. So there you go... read more

Stopped here randomly during the Ohio City Street Festival! My toddler was getting hangry, and I wanted to cool off from the sun! Wait time wasn't bad when I arrived. Maybe 20 minutes or so, and the business texts you when your table is ready! Our waitress, whose name I wish I could remember, was phenomenal and went above and beyond to give us an exceptional experience. Great draft beer list, I personally recommend #32, and an amazing wine selection! Indoor and outdoor seating, and your water always stays full. I ordered the chicken nachos, WHICH WERE BOMB AF, and my son had a burger and some really, really good fries. The whole menu made me want to binge eat my feelings, but I contained myself because I was wearing real pants instead of my usual go-to of leggings. Amazing service. Amazing food. Good prices. Although the server was a bit slow today, she was very kind and respectable. Today, I decided to go with the harvest bowl (chicken substituted the bacon) and the portion was large. My friend wanted the chicken club, unfortunately they were out of some ingredients so she got the cashew crushed tenders with sweet potato chips. I called many times Tuesday and then emailed also on Wednesday to make a reservation for Wednesday for 7 people. No response from my email and the phone was never answered. When I got a hold of someone today, I was told it has to be made 24 hours in advance! How is that possible when it was closed on Tuesday ( which I had no idea) and no one answered my email? I've been to Townhall a few times now and every time it's been a pretty solid experience. While I've never really eaten a meal, I can share based on their drinks and apps. They have a huge assortment of beers to choose from. Many come straight from Ohio. I was shocked to see one of my favs from Jackie O's in Athens, Ohio on the menu. As with many bars like this, you're welcome to try a beer before you purchase (this is always so helpful)! I've also indulged in their truffle fry appetizer. It comes out in a cute little tin with parmesan cheese on top and two tipping sauces. This definitely hit the spot! Next time I'm in CLE and I stop by, I'll be sure to try some of their vegetarian options. I was super stoked to see they had so many creative items on the menu. Until then! read more

The set up of Townhall is a bit confusing. I wasn't sure where to sit since it was just me, but I wasn't sure where to order or if I was going to be served by waitstaff. Anyways, I sat on the "cafe" side. I ordered at the register, but sat around the empty bar area in the cafe side. Still - wtf was going on in this place? I decided to order the Acai Refresher Soda to drink and for food, I ordered the Grilled Cheese + Soup. I went with the Vegan Chili for my soup. The Acai Refresher was well... refreshing. My only recommendation: order food on UberEATS and enjoy from the comfort of your own home. I know the bustling, trendy atmosphere is appealing to many but I have been twice now (Friday night and a Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm) and both times were packed. People seemed to be enjoying themselves but I just thought it was crammed. However, the food was delicious! They offer a wide variety of standard, paleo, and vegan fares so you can find something for anyone in your group. They also use organic, responsibly grown ingredients and their prices are reasonable. We have had their street tacos which had tons of flavor, Thai peanut bowl which was rich and extremely filling with fresh vegetables, and their drip coffee which is apparently tested and free of mycotoxins (I learned something here!). I definitely recommend the food but if you want a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, do not come here on the weekend. I'm sure it's okay on a weekday afternoon, but I haven't tried it at that time so I can't say for sure. read more

For my entrée, I ordered the Pollo Ala Crema, thin slices of sautéed chicken breast with cream sauce, Spanish rice, grilled corn, Brussels sprouts, a crispy corn cake, aji verde, and crumbled bacon. It was a unique combination of flavors that worked really well together, and I enjoyed the dish overall. Parking is available on the street, or after 6 p.m. you can park in the lot adjacent to the restaurant and pay through the mobile app, which was convenient. Overall, I had a good meal and enjoyed the atmosphere. While everything was solid, I'm not sure I'd make a special trip back with so many great Mexican restaurants in the area that I still want to try.

We went here with high expectations on a Monday around 3pm. So here's the thing... this place is gorgeous. The layout is fantastic, the open windows in the front flow air through to the back patio, the bar and tables are set up properly... it's just a gorgeous space. I don't know if the theme is for it to be a health food type of place, but I was rather surprised, and quite disappointed, in the menu selections. Noodle and rice bowls, but ALL of them have to have brown rice or brown rice vermicelli? I mean... I understand having healthy options, but if you aren't touting yourself as a health food place it seems strange to not have that as a choice instead of the only way to go. My girlfriend and I both looked over the menu and neither of us really found much of anything we cared for. She landed on the turkey club sandwich (Probably the most boring thing on the menu) which sadly was going to be my choice as well, so I went with a simple salad instead. She also ordered a cocktail called Indigo which sounded like a nice summery drink. Her drink came out and was awful; it needed something tart and a little simple syrup. When the bartender came over and asked how she liked it she told him flat out she didn't and why. His response was along the lines of "Yeah we get that sometimes... people don't realize how much the herbs come through and they don't care for it." and then he walked away. He didn't offer to fix it, didn't offer to take it away or replace it... just left. Our food came out and we weren't checked on again until we needed a check. For the record, her sandwich was fine but honestly if you can screw up a cold sandwich... and my salad was awful. The croutons on it were nice and crunchy, and I pluralize the word crouton only because there were two total on the salad. The "Town Hall Vinaigrette" is apparently a lot of olive oil and a little balsamic vinegar... I mean maybe it's my fault for ordering a simple salad and being disappointed when it's half a bag of field greens two croutons and a vinaigrette a 5 year old could make, I just expected better because I heard better. When our bartender dropped off the bill my girlfriend saw the drink was still on it and complained, and the bartender got a manager. She came over with a bill without the drink on it and was very apologetic, and asked if we wouldn't mind staying a minute or two so she could try to remake it and see if we liked it. She did, we did, and we left on a positive note. She is the sole reason the restaurant is getting two stars instead of one. Scratch that.... the hostess was very nice as well. She explained the cafe side versus bar side and was very pleasant. But the menu stunk, the food was depressing and the service was awful. I would come here to drink at night... nah, I really wouldn't. Too many good places in the 216 nowadays to be doing such a mediocre to poor job. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE! Delicious food, unique cocktails, juice bar, coffee bar, 36 draft beers, friendly staff, just an overall great atmosphere! I have been coming here since it opened and Townhall is by far my favorite restaurant in Cleveland! Townhall's menu is one of the best I have seen. They offer so many different options and it fits a lot of different lifestyles. For example, every Wednesday night is Paleo NIght where they have a special Paleo menu while still offering the regular menu. Every Monday night is Vegan Night, where they offer a 100% vegan menu along with the regular menu. If you have dietary restrictions, Townhall will definitely accommodate to your needs. The quality of the food is outstanding and you can tell how much they care because they are currently doing a Non- GMO project where they are aiming towards having all the foodin the resturant to be 100% non-GMO. Definitely go here if you are looking for great food in the Cleveland area. Townhall has such an amazing craft beer selection, 36 craft beers on draft to be exact! I went to grab some food here on a Monday night and was told it was their "3$ Craft Beer Night", which means they offer all 36 drafts for 3$ every monday night. They also have a really cool cocktail list that are all unique and delicious. They have these cocktails called "emulsive cocktails" which are made with alcohol and different kinds of super fruits that they make into a puree in house. SO GOOOD! The Indigo is my favorite. My friends and I love going here on the weekends!! Every Saturday and Sunday morning they have an awesome brunch menu, most places around here only serve brunch on Sundays so it's nice having a Saturday brunch option as well. Brunch also has a Build Your Own Crepe Station- YUM! I always have such a good time here on weekend nights, such a great crowd! It's the best place around to meet new people and have a lot of fun with your friends. They have a gorgeous, relaxing back patio with a lot of seating, too. The staff here is extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating. I always have the outstanding service when I come here. Everyone is always smiling, which puts me in a great mood. It's nice going to a place where the staff actually has a sense of urgency! As a vegetarian, their contribution to making their dishes diverse & affordable is always appreciated. TH's thoughtfulness towards the contrast in their customers needs is reflected in their specialty services with a variety of gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, raw & paleo diet options. The décor is clean & cool with an industrial, rustic beauty & offers both indoor & outdoor comforts. They even allow dogs on the patio, although my pack of wild hounds will probably never have the pleasure of experiencing the ambiance the outdoor spaces create, I'm grateful for the option. As someone who loves nature & the outdoors, I value TH's rolling garage door style windows that give the space a refreshing, open air feel in the heart of Ohio City. First off, we were there on Monday for vegan night. My first impression was it seemed pretty healthy in the aspect of no GMOs, real food, that kind of thing. It's very ahead of the trends. About half of the front section is a café area that is much more lowkey and chill. Great for getting work done. The other side as well as the back outdoor area is more lively, dimmer lighting, music, a bar, general vibes. It was beautiful I can't lie. Our server, Emily, seems like a pro from what I could tell. We were seated and quickly given water. She gave us a great and thorough rundown of the menu and drinks, and asked about dietary restrictions/allergies, and I informed her of my dairy allergy. She gave us some time to think about what we wanted, then we put in orders for food. She was supposed to come around and check back in if we wanted drinks since we were still deciding, but she seemed to vanish for a bit, eventually she made her way back around and apologized, informing us she had just seated 7 tables, no biggie, we had decided we weren't going to order drinks anyway so it wasn't a loss for us by any means. We ordered truffle fries (no parm), the Thai Peanut bowl, and their burger (vegan bun, no cheese). The truffle fries were good, though my boyfriend said they were different than they used to be, and now aren't as good. The Thai peanut bowl was absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor, loved it. A favorite for sure. The burger did arrive with cheese, which thankfully my boyfriend ate some and noticed first before I tried my half (we split meals between each other). When our server came around we told her there was cheese on it and she apologized, took it away to bring us a different one, (we also asked for it in a to go container since we were quite full at this point), and she brought another one back for us as well as 2 brownies (dairy free, gluten free, vegan) to reconcile. Our server Emily was extremely kind, knowledgeable of the menu, and accommodating. Five stars for her. I did take one star off because I did feel a slight reaction to the truffle fries, and needed Benadryl, though it clearly wasn't enough to be a severe reaction. The cheese on the burger could have been worse and that is also a reason for only 4 stars, but our server clearly did her best to rectify the situation and she did. Not her fault at all. Townhall is a pretty trendy spot, and not without reason. The location is perfect, right smack in the middle of all the Ohio City 25th St happenings. The inside is beautifully done with natural wood. They have garage windows in front and back which are fantastic in the warmer months. The front has a few outdoor tables, but it's the back patio that is really set up well, and almost tricks you into thinking you're on holiday for the afternoon. This is a great place for groups, as they have long tables, and they take reservations. It gets pretty busy, so seating a large party can be a bit difficult even with all the longer tables. As for service, it's not bad, I haven't really had any rude experiences, but it's not the most attentive. They give you bottles of water to refill your glass, so that solves my biggest problem, and for that I praise them. Not bad, not remarkable. Where Townhall falls a bit short in my opinion is their vegan meals. My meat/dairy eating friends tend to rave about the food, so I'm not going to say the food overall isn't great. They put a modern flare on just about all their dishes which is great for most people (took my mom there for Mother's Day one year, and she hated it. She's isn't very adventurous, more of a meat and potatoes and other homestyle american kind of person. If you have really boring eaters in your group, it may not be the best). Personally, I love when chefs come up with creative meals with good fresh ingredients. I just haven't yet been wowed with the food. I don't want to say there isn't a vegan meal that I would love, I just haven't found it. Next time I go to brunch I'm going to try the crepe bar, as they have quite a few vegan options, and it may end up having me rave about the place! That being said, I appreciate the effort very much, and it's great to be able to go out to a place my friends love and eat a meal consisting of something other than steamed frozen veggies, fries, and if I'm lucky, hummus. Side note: they give you a little cup of ketchup to go with your fries. Mine was not even 1/2 full. Maybe they've found that it gets wasted because the standard fries come with Parmesan, but man if you are serious about ketchup, you may want to ask for more in advance. Food is excellent, service is prompt especially at the bar. The place always feels lively and busy and the food has always met or exceeded expectations and comes out surprisingly fast and well-plated given how busy it can be. My major complaint is with the carry out station. I come here a lot, like 2-3 times a week, and have noticed a tendency of the front staff to be selective about who they choose to acknowledge and greet and who they choose to ignore and let stand there until you basically have to approach them. The last time I wasn't even acknowledged while a few people cut me in line and were instantly greeted with smiles. When I gave someone the evil eye about it, I was met with major attitude and sass. I'm the general manager of a popular east side restaurant, I've worked in this industry for 20+ years, and if any of my front people treated a guest like that .... they wouldn't be working there anymore. I understand that it can get busy and there are a lot of people going in and out, but all I'm talking about is simple guest acknowledgment and not giving the appearance of being selective with whom you greet. Something just as simple as a "hi there I'll be right with you" can go a long way. Often when standing by the carry out station, staff seem to be looking down into screens, entering Uber orders etc. all it takes is two seconds to look up, make eye contact, smile and say hi I'll be right with you. When I was ignored after standing there for about 10 minutes with two other guests jumping in front of me and being insta-greeted I couldn't help but feel slighted. Like I was some kind of burden. If you've ever had a friend or family member who's never been to Cleveland but constantly gives you crap for it not being cool, Townhall is the place you take them to absolutely change their mind. During the week the restaurant changes the game with their food menu and will raise your guests standards for every future restaurant they go to. From the AMAZING Prosciutto wrapped dates to the savory short rib dinner and every Power salad in between, the menu literally has something everyone can enjoy while still being a completely non-gmo restaurant which is completely impressive on its own. At night and on the weekends though, it turns into the absolute best place to be to get a couple drinks. The place fills up but the thing that gets my attention is the company it brings in; forget the 35 craft draft beers or the incredibly extensive list of whiskey and bourbon and look at the crazy cool people you can meet when you step out of the uber. And it still doesn't stop there! The ownership payed incredible attention to deal; from the old school lights hanging from a long steel rod above the bar, to the stone finishes around the many large TVs, this place is groovy! The service staff is friendly, attentive and attractive. The brew list is long and the food is healthy yet tasty (and fast!). Town Hall is a game changer as far Cleveland bar/pubs go. It's trendy, yet not hipster. It's fun, yet not too loud or annoying. The music playlists are a mixture of rock and alternative; bass driven relaxing backyard BBQ style. The crowd is a mixture, but mainly 26-35, young professional, well dressed but not dressed for the club; jeans and collared shirts mostly. If you happen to bump into someone you don't know here, they're most likely to pat you on the back and say "no worries," as opposed to the ego-driven crowd more suited for the Warehouse District. Town Hall is the best thing yet in the Cleveland bar/ pub scene and another incredible edition in the development of the Ohio City District, already home to the Great Lakes Brewery. It is the first of, hopefully, a number of other micro-brew style pubs; which would signal a social change in the City of Cleveland, from mini, trashy New Jersey Shore to the elite Lincoln Park in Chicago. read more

If Townhall had just a little better service I would give it 5 stars. The actual place is very large with a long bar and plenty of seating. There are always a lot of people working on the floor and behind the bar, but it seems never enough to get the attention of a waitress or bartender. The patio is great and very well built. Most of the girls working behind the bar have serious attitudes issues, especially for brunch hours. Nights and weekends the place turns into a club like atmosphere, with tons of people. Getting a drink during those hours is quite a challenge, and eating while 30 people are right in your face is not how I like to eat dinner. However to my four star review! The food is the saving grace ! I have been eating at Townhall for brunch on a regular basis, and have not been disappointing. The fresh grass fed lamb burger is amazing. I am very picky when it comes to fresh lamb , and the meat is perfectly prepared. The salads and gluten free options are a great way to eat healthy for a somewhat reasonable price. The appetizers taste amazing ( all of them) and are great portions to share with another person. Also the middle eastern dishes are done properly. The beer selection is great as well. Plenty of options from micro-breweries locally and across the United States, and the mixed drinks are well poured. Overall I enjoy Townhall when it is not overwhelmingly busy. Some people like when it is crowded, it is just not my taste. read more

After being confused at first when I walked in a waitress stopped (holding like five plates I was surprised she stopped) She gave me the run down. She also pointed out the bathroom, thanks bc we NEVER would have found it. We sampled a few beers and I settled on the Upland (good!) and my lady got some kind of raspberry beer, very sweet kinda like wine. They have a bunch of juice and smoothies so I'll have to stop here before work one day. There was a wait on the beers, I know its busy...but you know its a beer not a mixed drink. The waitress was apologetic though and offered us water when we first came in, so we had something. I got: The Kobe Burger, mid rare, no cheese aioli on the side (I dont like to commit to a sauce before I taste it) with the truffle oil fries. So awesome. I didnt know I liked truffle fries. The meat was closer to medium but it had that charred on the outside pink on the inside so It was quite delicious. She got: A fig jam flat bread with prosciutto. At first I kinda laughed at her. Fig jam lol stfu. Then she got it on a wheat crust...It actually wasnt bad. Like a salty/sweet quality to it. It was quite big our server offered to box it up for us which is nice. There was a wait on our drinks but the food came out pretty fast. We also got some dessert to go, a huge cupcake, cookies and cream like, and a equally huge cookie that was dark and white chocolate chip. It really hit the spot after a long day. read more

Townhall is one of my favorite places to get takeout in OhioCity! The flavors are bold and there are many health conscious options- I really like the vegan grilled cheese sandwich or Harvest salad with tofu -probably one of the best tofu places in Cle. If you prefer to order takeout, the online ordering system is pretty easy to use, and allows orders to be picked up via carside delivery. Orders are usually prepared quickly, but now that people have resumed eating in, Town hall does not have as much time to make sure takeout orders are correctly placed in the takeout area, so be sure to ask for help if needed. Only other thing is that sometimes the app does not refresh to describe items that are out of stock, so you might order one item and but receive slightly different versions each time, however, it's always really good. If you are looking to dine-in, the ambience is really great and the remodel turned out pretty nice! There are many plants that double as decor and also air purifiers, which is a plus if you ask me. The setup can be intimate, but also casual. I have seen work colleagues, friends, partners and even wedding parties done in! Once you've filled up on a satisfying meal, you might be like me, and have to hit the books when you get home. Townhall is amazing. I've been coming here at least once a week since I moved to Cleveland 2 years ago. I see a few negative reviews on here knocking this place and I just don't get it. For starters, the food here is not only excellent and quickly prepared, but their mission to provide fresh, organic, non gmo foods is totally unparalleled- not just in this city but across America. Very few places compare. And within these confines they have a consistently delicious product. If you don't believe me look how long the line is here all the time. Despite the lines the service here is quick and efficient, very even from visit to visit, and they get people in and out fast. As far as quality control the owner and management is here day in and day out making sure everything goes smoothly. This place is family owned and operated and they care. The drinks are top notch, the craft beer selection is local and incredible, and they've recently added some killer coffee and locally produced juices to their menu. Finally- for what you get the prices here are ridiculously fair. This same concept in a place like Chicago or New York would probably set you back 3x as much, if not more. Look around Cleveland and within this neighborhood. There's simply no other place that compares. Townhall will continue to be my home! read more

I came in on a Wednesday and sat on the side with the bar. We were sat right away once I spotted where the host is stationed. A nice little high top booth with a sweet red hair waitress. I remember her bc she was wearing a kawaii jewelery I didnt think American girls wore. I got the CocoLoco and my friend got the a sunrise. I was scared when I saw how green the drink was! But it was so good! I tried hers too and it was good but I like the texture of smoothies better. She ordered the Noodles bowl I think it was chicken she liked it but needed a litttle hot sauce our waitress offered to us earlier. We always say yes to hot sauce! I got the metta bowl with tofu. Very good tofu! The flavor was actually really good, sometimes it can be bland at places or too spongey. Overall I think I will return to try the Veggie burger, the vegetarian optioned are very good here! Parking is hard bc the lot fills up quickly. I love how breezey it was the space is so large and opened. I see reviews about bad service. Not the day I went someone else brough out our food and he was very polite and chaming and brought us more napkins for our centerpiece. I think this new place will be a big hit! read more

Town Hall is a great addition to the west 25th street bars and restaurants. The space is beautiful - rich wood covered walls and tables. It resembles a space you'd expect to see in the Pacific Northwest. I love how airy and open it is inside, and the back patio is very urban and cool. A perfect fit for Ohio City. The restaurant has a fresh and vibrant vibe. It's great to finally have some healthy menu options is the area. They offer fresh juices and smoothies that are made to order with no artificial ingredients. If you're vegetarian or vegan, there are numerous options on the menu including a veggie burger, tofu burrito, grilled cheese and tomato soup, and several others. Everything I've ordered has been great. For brunch, the crepe bar is not to be missed. The homemade ginger ale is amazing too, as well as their herb infused cocktails. Prices are very reasonable. Definitely worth checking out if you've never been. Ignore the negative reviews- all new restaurants have a few kinks to work out in the beginning. We dine and drink here often and will continue to do so. Perfect summer spot. read more

I went to townhall last night for the first time. I've heard so much buzz about this place I figured needed to check it out. I walked in around 8:00 pm and the place was packed. The moment I walked in we were addressed by a young lady who helped us get a table. It seems like every employee knows every detail about that place. You can tell that comes down from management and ownership. We were seated promptly and addressed by our server quickly. She asked us if we had ever been to townhall before? and we said no. She then began to explain to us what townhall is all about and all the amazing things they do to make sure they do things right. She even explained to us what a GMO was and the negative affects it has on your body and how their menu was 100% GMO free. That was just the food portion. She also brought us several beer samples to make sure we ordered exactly what we were looking for. The food matched the service! Everything was amazing. Overall it was one of the best restaurant experiences in my life. I can't wait to go back! read more

This is great. Very excited there is a place that great atmosphere and food. Townhall has always been one of my favorite places to go to grab a beer and a good healthy meal. They have a huge variety of drafts to choose from, signature cocktails that are all made in house, and any kind of allergy anyone in my family has they can modify almost anything to accommodate anyone's needs. The menu items change their ingredients frequently which I personally think if a great thing. The management team and kitchen crew are always working on improvements to all dishes and menu items, so every change they make is always a step up from the last idea. Townhall is my go to spot for drinks with friends, dinner with family or even a place that is super children friendly for my nieces and nephews during brunches on the weekends there. Great great place! Yes I know it's super crowded right now but hello it's because it's new! The place itself is GORG and though the staff was slower, It's what is expected those first few months so I will focus on the things I loved not the basic new opening kinks everyone has. Top 3 best things... 1. Beer selection. I like light beer so I highly recommend the Michigan blond it was perfectly served cool crisp and refreshing 2. The space. Whether you want an outdoor patio feel, inside booth or cafe style atmosphere the place offers it all. It's huge and has so many seating options which makes it an easy dining choice for anyone! 3. The dessert! Hubby and I split the cupcake of the day which was red velvet... OMG to die for. The best frosting I have ever had and the cake we just perfect. We literally fought over the last bite! We ordered the BBQ flag bread pizza which was great and huge! More than enough for two. Tons of flavor and kick! Good job TH we will be back soon! read more
