My go to spot for boba! They're the best in the Bay Area for it. Haven't had a flavor of tea I don't like.

I was hooked on t-pumps a few months ago. I weening my dependence and am now down to once a week. My only problem with the plethora business model is the plethora of choices can lead to disastrous results. I am sticking with mango lychee passionfruit from now on. The staff is always cheerful and I like free samples while you wait in line. I encourage bizarre flavors on the samples while. That will keep you from getting too adventurous. read more

Absolute favorite boba place and this one is a nice, cute location with other food and shopping around. Last time I came like right before they were about to close (not super last minute, like 10-20 min before closing) and this was the only time they weren't stingy with boba (I assume because they would have to throw away the boba at closing anyways so why not just give more and not waste). I'm not sure what the hype is but I guess I'll give them points for allowing your own flavor combinations and having a super organized, easy to navigate menu for creating your drink (unlike other bbt places with 100 item menus printed on fonts smaller than the bottom line of vision tests). Price is ok, about 3 bucks a drink and the size is good. The boba is VERY sweet and a little too soft to me. If you want the drink to be light sweetness, do not get combo flavored - it just becomes as sweet as regular. read more

I love this location because I can head right into my favorite Toysrus for women, Sephora, as I sip my lovely drink from TPumps. I usually order the same thing, almond milk with a little variance between taro, lychee or coconut mixed in. They've got this new boba that's supposed to be zero calories and high fiber. I tried it and it was no different from the regular, so I guess it's my new thing of the moment. With these "healthy" boba, it.comes with something similar to chia seeds, which I absolutely am in love with, so yeah, I'm addicted!!! read more

Was at Blueline pizza a few doors down so I was tempted to try this place. The line was long. It was nice they were serving different teas for everyone in line to try. I ordered the mango lychee peach with bolba for the hubby and salted Carmel for myself. So good. The hubby likes this place better than share tea. I'm indifferent. They rank both the same for my taste buds. We will definitely be coming back, but to the Stevens creek location. read more

They either give few or too many boba in the drink. Their drinks aren't made from real tea but more syrup base which is why they are too sweet for me. I only come here if this is the one place around me when I'm craving boba. I always get a quarter sweet because it feels like normal sweet to me. read more

I love the different flavor combinations you can do with this place. I remember my favorite frozen yogurt toppings were banana, mango and pineapple. So I tried is for a bobba drink. To my surprise it had a weird flavor because of the banana but it was actually good! I also tried my cousins favorite combo raspberry vanilla. So many different options.... someone come up with a bobba vending machine! read more

Rose vanilla strawberry green tea with milk + honey boba. I liked the rose vanilla last time so I tried it again with strawberry added. Yum. Long line but they are pretty efficient at making the tea. At the other location, when there's a big line, another employee takes the orders and gives you the cup to pay at the cashier. The line seems to move along faster that way. Could have used higher boba ratio compared to the size of the cup. I'm usually a black tea person but so far I've been more a fan of the drinks at this chain with the green tea. Lychee (or litchi sp?) + raspberry was also delicious. I've been getting "normal" sweetness and it seems about right for my tastes without leaving extra sugary film on my teeth. I also prefer whole milk over the default creamer. They have different options like soy etc. And some other add-in's I haven't tried yet. read more

I am not some crazy boba fan. I only get boba occationally. Taste-wise, I think it's pretty good. What I like the most about this place is that they let you choose your own combination of flavor. And they clean up your ass if you mess up! Seriously! I tasted their sample when I was in the line, tasted good. When I ordered, I chose my top 3 flavor of fruits. Oh well, didn't expect they ended up tasting horrible. The employees here were so nice to offer a replacement. A+++++. The first time I walked in this shop, I walked right out. Why? Totally overwhelmed. The lines, the menu, whoa nelly! The second time I came was on a superbly hot Sunday morning and my bf and I were just craving boba. This place came with high recommendations from a friend (which is I tried to try it the first time) so having another newbie with me while ordering made things easier. I got the Tpumps almond milk green tea with honey boba. Safe bet. Mmmm it was delicious!! So refreshing! YAY! The other great thing about this place is that the regular size boba cup is a pretty decent size. Some other places have smaller cups, which makes me feel like I got jipped out of yummy boba-ness. Anyway, the boba itself is soft and chewy, and I was able to choose how sweet I wanted my drink (no diabetes for this gal). The downfall? It'd be nice if there were seating at this place. Loved the drinks, loved the service...I'll be coming back here again when I'm on this side of town. Maybe I'll be a little more adventurous and start mixing flavors. Whoa nelly. read more

Bucket of Boba Tuesdays! Well that's what I call their Tuesday free upgrade special. Usually I don't get Tpumps because there is normally a long line of teenagers. But sometimes on a Tuesday if I can get out of the office early, my boba addicted co-workers and I will head out for Bucket Boba. The staff are always so nice and friendly to clueless me who is overwhelmed with their extensive menu. The service is quick fast considering all the questions I end up asking...what tea goes with this flavor? I'd like peaches what drink combo would you recommend? Plus we end up ordering 6 drinks. Then I get my workout by carrying these back to the office and fending off jealous co-workers while making my deliveries to those that placed an order. I'm not sure I have the patience to wait in line on a normal day...but on bucket boba tuesdays I do! read more

Went to the on win Burlingame instead of San Mateo. Located in such a cute but busy location. When we got there I saw the line and freaked but my cousins told me that it wasn't as bad as San Francisco or San Mateo's line, which usually goes out the door. While in line, noticed it was getting hot either from the amount of people in the store or because it was really warm out. Either way, I think they should have some type of cooling system for the customers and also for the employees. Also while waiting in line, one of the kind employees went around passing out samples of a few mixes they have made, which was pretty helpful since it was my first time EVER at T-Pumps. T pumps is definitely my favorite boba place in town! I love how they use lactose-free milk in their drinks, provide options for how sweet you want your drink, and offer decaffinated tea options. T pumps also has some pretty amazing flavors like salted caramel, green apple, or almond! The best part is that you can add a few flavors in one drink. This works out well for people like me who can never decide on what to get..... Now I don't have to decide! I can have it all in one drink. My personal favorite combination is salted caramel with coconut. It is mind-blowing good (especially is you have a sweet tooth). Another regular of mine is Neopolitan. With all the delicious flavors, the combinations are endless. Aside for having amazing tea, T Pumps also has a really fun and friendly environment. There's typically a long line to place your order, but the samples they often hand out while in line and the fast-paced line make it bearable. read more

The boba here is really good!! Has a sweet taste on its own! Definitely the best boba I have had in my norcal stay so far .. The inside is confusing though and seems very westernized .. The way the menu is set up is not something I have encountered before. And there were so many flavors that it was kind of overwhelming. I ended up getting the tie guan yin milk tea with boba. The wait ended up being very long since apparently they don't have this tea made already?? It was OK though because I watched a slideshow of instagram photos of people who were drinking Tpumps. Also one of the workers walked around and handed out some free samples! When I got my drink, it wasn't filled up to the very very top, which I found disappointing lol. Tpumps is a great drink spot out of the many Boba drink places around the Bay Area. I have given it three stars because I feel that from the other tea places I have went too they put the smallest amount of topping in their drink. Most places pile the toppings in the drink and there is still some left after you finish your drink but here you don't have any topping left when you finish your drink. I also think it is a inconvenience that they don't have any jelly's. I personally love my drink with lychee jelly but the fact that they don't have lychee jelly kind of ruins my drink. I think that this place is overall pretty good but it could use some small improvements to get to 5 stars. I feel like 3 stars is pretty suiting so far but as they improve it will move up to 5! read more

After my last negative review, Tpumps offered me a complimentary drink. I took them up on it. This time I went with black milk tea with almond and coconut flavor, no sweetener, with honey boba. The boba is too sweet to start, but the sweetness diffuses through the drink nicely in a few minutes. The sample drink they were giving out was again unbearably sweet. Two recommendations: 1) unless you like things really, REALLY sweet, get one level less sweetness than you think you want, especially with honey boba; 2) let honey boba sit for a bit before drinking. I expected to dislike the drink, but it was a marked improvement from last time. Partially because I asked for no sweetener, partially because the flavors were okay, and partially because the boba had a chewier consistency than last time. The drink was a little thin for my tastes (they only have lactose-free milk), the tea they use has no flavor (probably to let their syrups shine through better), and I still think the flavor syrup pumps are gimmicky. But it was overall okay. One thing this place has is accessibility to non-Asians. I've never seen a boba spot with fewer Asians in line than here. It might be a good intro to boba sort of place, or a haven for those who don't like traditional boba spots. The service is also quite prompt and courteous. Nothing but high marks there. On the whole, I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, but I wouldn't be adamantly opposed to it either. read more

Simple: I'm obsessed with this Tpumps. The location is perfect too. I love how you can mix up to three flavors of your choice and their milk is lactose free. Their premium teas have such an aromatic taste which is so addicting and leaves you craving for more. Their boba is usually served soft, warm and fresh-so tasty. The only good thing about this place is the seamlessly never ending options but the long line and fake taste of the artificial flavoring leaves something to be desired. Love that Tpumps opened in Burlingame! I just hope it doesn't get as crowded as their San Mateo location which was a deterrent for me going there -- always a line out the door! Tpumps isn't your ordinary boba tea joint. They let you mix and match flavors and someone said they make their tapioca in-house. I recently tried red bean instead of boba in my tea and would not try that again. I misunderstood that I was getting red bean flavored boba -- rather, I got actual red beans in my tea. Made for a very nutritious drink but was definitely wanting tapioca. Anyway, thanks Tpumps for expanding your business into my neighborhood! read more

What new Tpumps location? The tiny sign is deceiving, because the space is long. Perfect for those lines that literally go out the door like in the San Mateo location. You get a 'pumpbo' (aka bucket) size of milk tea customized pretty much to how you like it. I'm bummed because they skimped on the boba/pearl. Usually I get 1/3 of boba my cup, not less than 1/4. It's still nice to have multiple drink options after dinner in Burlingame. read more

Of all the options for tea in the bay, Tpumps is one of the better ones. The draw of this place is that the drinks can be customized in several different ways, First, there are a large selection of flavors to choose from and they can be had by themselves or combined in endless different ways, but it doesn't stop there, the level of sweetness can be altered to your preference and there are several kinds of boba that can be chosen. Prices are excellent, way less than I thought they'd be for a location in downtown Burlingame. Most drinks come at around 3 dollars. Employees were friendly, even during the busy hours we came to the place.Speaking of busy hours, they get VERY busy during Fridays and weekends, lines will be so long that they will extend out of the store. Despite the line, I liked my drink so much that I came back with friends later that night to get more. Only minor issue I have is that they don't offer an ice blended option, but I can overlook it. It's definitely a stand out option among all the boba places out there, I'll be sure to come back again. read more

This place gets packed all the time. Their bubble tea is good, but I don't think it's worth the wait. I ordered mango peach tea in light and it was still super sweet. I had to add more ice in it. The boba pearls were a little overcooked for me... I like mine a little chewy. read more

I usually only get Tpumps to go when friends are out in the city and bring some home for me. Came here last night with my son & husband after we dropped my mother off to SFO. The lines got pretty long for a Monday night! The location is in such a cute strip of shopping and restaurants. The parking kinda sucked but that was expected as other reviewers mentioned. I'm such a plain jane, I never try new flavors so I just stuck with a honeydew milk tea. It was sooooo awesome to know that you can pick what kind of tea you want! They have decafinated tea!! So if you are pregnant or don't want a little rush, get it decaf! I wish other boba places in the East Bay offered that! My husband got a caramel peach black tea slush with honey boba and it was actually really good, until the peach kicked in lol. I think that's why I'm so hesitant to mix flavors cuz what would taste good with caramel besides coffee or hazelnut or something? Idk my husbands taste is so weird lol. I docked one star because it was my first time there and a fight almost broke out in the store cuz some guy spit on another guys car or something and threw a cigarette in the trash can in the store! I know it's not the stores fault but they should probably put a "no smoking within 20 feet" sign outside the door. Or maybe I just shouldn't go there at night haha. Come here occasionally when I am in Burlingame for work, and often stop by on my way to Caltrain. Drinks are fast, and I am a huge fan of the $2.00 large specials they have in the fridge up front. I usually get one of those and then add a side of boba for .50 cents on the side. No bathrooms though! read more

Tpumps is a very simple boba place, but at the same time they do that simple thing very well! Their tea just has a taste that feels very fresh, and refreshing. Their boba has the perfect hint of honey and sweetness, and it's hard not to try different flavors everything when they carry like 50+ flavors. If you get overwhelmed trying to see what flavors can go together, look for the menu of popular drinks, I have tried at least 5-6 from that list and they are perfect. This location can be very busy once kids are out of school at around 3:30pm, so make sure to arrive early. They also have an all-day happy hour every Tuesday. Their big drink is the same price as the regular one. Staff has always been very busy, and they also don't have a limit on credit cards. Sometimes they bring out samples when they are busy, so you can always try new flavors you never thought of. read more
