I wish there was a Trader Joe's location closer to Rancho or actually IN Rancho. That's the only negative thing I'll say about this place. If I could, I'd go here for all of my groceries. I love their brand and pretty much all of the food I've purchased from this place has been excellent. They have this meat lasagna for just around $8.00 that is absolutely amazing! I've never had a problem getting assistance from someone in the store because they're always right there when you have a question. They're very helpful and patient even with all of the foot traffic they get on a daily basis. The store is surprisingly cozy and it feels like a mom and pop store. Idk what it is with me and wanting to feel vibey and cozy all the time, but this place has it. Take a break from Walmart or Target, and head on over to Trader Joe's for your groceries sometime. You will find something new and you'll add it to your list of things you MUST have. Guaranteed! Hope this helps!

Good use of minimal space. Not a large place, but they do use the space to offer a bit of most things. If you just need a few standard items, this works great. Larger grocery shopping is unlikely to be completed here. That said, this is a clean shop with some of the more desirable brands one seeks at a Trader Joe's. Came for some charcuterie board item and some wine for a birthday party recently. Found enough of what I needed in the offerings. Located in among other storefronts, the parking is okay in the large busy lot. On my visit, all registered were staffed as the place was quite busy. Not all things need to be a superstore and this is a decent place to pop in for a good subset of their usual, bigger store selections.

We LOVE Trader Joes and would buy ALL our food at a Trader Joes if they were closer. I did have a problem with the location on Sunrise. ONE bathroom! Not even one for men and one for women, just one toilet total for the whole store! And it was out of toilet paper, paper towels and I used the last few toilet seat covers for toilet paper. There was a line every time I check during my shopping trip, so I had to stand in line for awhile. The bathroom was filthy too. I'm sending this at the request of the cashier I complained to. Apparently, they get complaints all the time and this would reach the management best. read more

Love this TJ's! We have lived in this area for about a year and a half and immediately felt at home thanks to a welcoming crew! I typically shop with my little ones .. and my two year old can be quite enthusiastic, which is a nice way of saying loud, lol. The staff there are always very engaging and ready with stickers for him. I have gone to other markets where I have gotten eye rolls and no stickers, which he doesn't understand. One time we went in and he wanted some of the food sample. He is gluten and soy free and the item they were showcasing was not, so I had to tell him he couldn't have it and he wasn't very pleased. By the time I got to the next isle, the staff member who had been working the sample station tracked us down with a box of gluten free Snickerdoodles and offered one to my toddler ... that was so nice, major brownie points! I have had pretty good luck with the food and flowers here, on the off chance that the produce I bought goes off or the flowers I purchase wilt the following day, they are always super good about replacing the item with no hassle. I do get frustrated when they are out of one of my staples, especially I make a special trip for the item, but no points off for that because that seems to happen at all TJ's. Overall we have been very happy to have this be our local market. Oh, and a special shout out to Rachel who is one of my fave workers .. I love seeing your smiling face when we shop! read more

Clean stores in all locations I've been to. Good selection of inexpensive local and international wines. Every time I found myself wandering around their wine section, one of the employees would come up and offer friendly advice which is always great if you're up for trying something new. Love their Frozen Yogurt - only 100 calories per serving. Just plain good food, nice people. What else would you be looking for in a store?! read more

I LOVE Trader's Joe's, it so much cheaper than Sprouts and Whole Foods. Not to mention the people are so nice/helpful. I can find my hummus, way less expensive here, than even WinCo. Not to mention, thank God, it's really close to my home. I'm a huge fan of their "steel-cut oatmeal, sprout bread, low-fat French toast and Belgian waffles"! And their egg whites are "cheaper" as well! And NO long lines like "Wal-Mart"! read more

Went in to fill up my little girl's sippy cup out of the water fountain. Asked where it was. JENNIFER GARDNER who I assume is a manager or shift leader instead of pointing me in the direction of the fountain she walked over and handed me a bottle of water. She said I don't need to pay for it "it's only .17 cents. Thank you ma'am, you earned yourself a regular customer today. GOD bless read more

top notch customer service, shelves are always fully stocked, clean store and warm welcoming entrance! great parking and conveniently located in this shopping complex. i always grab some goodies after i get a starbux in the same shopping center. dont come here if you love the carrot cake cupcakes though. they never EVER have them. bring a bag, be green guys! read more

place is hard to rate because while they do offer many of the best quality foods you can buy, a lot of other things factor in like their bizarre customer service, not so moderatly priced foods and atmosphere. I'll start with the bizzare customer service. The people who work here are wack. I wouldn't call them superficial, just unstrangly uncomfortable in a 'im faking it 100%' kinda way. Even when the employees interact with each other its as if there's always an exclamation mark at the end, for no reason at all. You know when these people go home they all act normal, its more trader joes bestowing the personality on them but ifyou go to regular stores people ddon't act as flamboyant or "fake" personality. It's annoying and untrue to life: just shut up and ring me at the cash register. The people who shop here are healthy. But it gets unnerving to know how crammed this little store is. During its pursuit hours you feel as though someone is staring at you or looking at what you are buying. Almost like this peer pressure you get at a mall. It's a grocery store! Stop starring at me and checking out what I'm buying you pricks.I generally don't care but can't help but notice when people blatantly do this. Because of the way the store is designed it happens. Not all food is organic, only the ones with the trader joes logo on it. You have to read the labels. Always. Not every food is moderatly priced, in fact a lot of foods like the meats are overpriced. In the end I would say trader joes offers you a guarantee of quality in foods you are looking for. But you really have to have an eye for what you're looking for, otherwise you will just waste time and money.more importantly money. what really bothers me is their customer service, I almost want to slap the employees to wake up out of their magical wonderland of being fake. Just act normal, at least the guys over at bel air keep it classy. read more

This location is in a strip mall so there is ample parking compared to the east sac location. The store is large and fully stocked with your favorites. I feel like the sample booth is always manned, whereas at others, it's only certain parts of the day. The alcohol section is quite large. read more

Not having TJ on the islands makes me always wanna hit up TJ before we head home. I love their products especially the Trader Joe brand stuff. They always have the friendliest people and a sample going on. I was really sad that they were out of my husband's dark chocolate expresso beans... we went on a hunt for them... going to like five different stores and all were out. Something went wrong with the shipment. This one is a bit smaller than other ones I've been to but other than that, consistently a good store to go to. read more

TJ's may be a little steep on their meat prices, but the quality is there. The produce, cheese and meats are incredible and there is something new to buy everytime. Keep me away or I may spend 100-dollars again for stuff I really don't need. read more

I love this place. The customer service is wonderful. I came in here to buy a couple of things and my card was declining (not sure why), but the associate just told me "it's fine, it's on the house, we know that you will be back so we will get our money's worth in the end." What?!?!? I was just so surprised, never had that happen to me. Also, I love their food and drink options, and is very clean and well maintained grocery store. I will definitely go back and will absolutely recommend to friends and family. read more

Love love love this place. I feel like when I come shopping Im getting to see all my old friends. I love the fact that everything is good and fresh, but I do love that when I want something but I've never tried it before so I don't want to waste money, they will open what ever it is and let me sample it. No matter what coast you are on the quality remains. Everything is quite awesome. The frozen food section, the dried foods, produce, even the samples. The staff is always cheerful and helpful to boot. In addition the prices are incredibly reasonable for being on a college budget. read more

My favorite trader Joe's. They are always friendly and helpful. And it's a good size store so they have the full selection of trader Joe products. Their prices are very affordable. What is really like about Trader Joe's is that, unlike some other grocery stores known for organic and more environmentally friendly health foods, Trader Joe's doesn't offer all that at a cost. It is actually cheaper thn some regular grocery stores and Target when it comes to certain products. Plus the employees at this Trader Joe's are friendly and extremely helpful. They will run to the the loading dock and get the item you are looking for without you even having to ask. Great customer service, great prices, superb produce, and just all around great quality. read more

You have to literally put up a fight with old people to push your shopping cart in the aisle. There are so many freaking old people trying to "drive" their shopping cart but they will bump it to you. Be aware, not to go here around lunch time because imagine old people driving in the parking lot and fighting over the cereal that you picked up first. LOL. oh yeah, and THEY ARE MEAN! Great prices!!! I love the seaweed, the pre-made salads and even the salads in bags, Great bags of Kale, which are so cheap. Great breads, fantastic pizzas and even pizza dough, flavored and cheap. I will say their fish is not the best. But everything else is great. They have wonderful and affordable wines, tequilas. And the produce is all organic and amazing. The cheese is also very affordable for the quality. I love the blue berry goat cheese log they have, it is fantastic!. They have cheap amazing crackers, try the Gargonzola crackers 1.99 a box and way better than cheez its. Healthier too. TRY IT@@@ (: Also customer service is amazing(: read more

As everyone knows trader joes is awesome anywhere but this one I love right around the corner from my house. The staff are amazing and I have even been offered to try samples of their products which is awesome. Makes getting groceries a much more enjoyable experience. read more

The parking lot outside is nice, and is well lit in the evenings. I've noticed that the employees at this store seem friendlier and more inclined to be helpful to customers.

Our social group meets in their event center (free to use) monthly and we decided to hold our holiday luncheon in the room. I stopped by the deli and discussed my needs with the staff there. They were knowledgeable and helpful. I had to call a couple of times and they were eager to help me on the phone and very patient - no attitude. When it came to the day of our event, they bent over backwards to help us get organized and find the right utensils. There were 20 of us and everyone said they want to do it again next year!

Ice Blocks, Arden and Watt, the one by Sac State, and the one in Fair Oaks. They all fry them up the same. I pick the bigger pieces because they are just juicier... with that crisp coat. Not too salty. Seasoned great. The Nashville Hot is mild but still has a nice spice-heat. The Fair Oaks Safeway in Dewey doesn't have a Chinese food section. I normally get a side of chow mein to go-with. This time I paired the tenders with hamburger buns/cheese/cucumber/jalapeno: a lemony angel hair pasta and egg salad from the Safeway deli. Oh,and a honey mustard-mayo dip. The deli people are so nice about letting you pick out the pieces you want. The regular price is $9.99/lb. Because it was a $5 Friday we got 6 huge pieces for a little over $7. One of the best deals in town. Mark your calendars and hit up your local Safeway.

When .y turn came up, I requested a pound of Boars Head black Forrest ham. She asked me twice that I wanted black forrest ham. Yes, thin sliced please. Unfortunately, I didn't look at the package until I arrived home. The label was honey maple glazed ham. At 16.99 per pound it's quite expensive, especially when the package was 1.25 pounds. The ham is very odd tasting and quite fatty. I actually went to Safeway in Roseville (on Sunrise) and bought exactly what I wanted. I always prefer the Sunrise Roseville store and this will now be my go-to Safeway store regularly. Great service!

They did a great job!) This one is a little older than the others, in the way of flooring, other than that is perfect. I make my shopping list according to the way they have their store setup. It makes it easy and manageable. Especially, if I have to send someone to pick a few things up for me. Staff is friendly and helpful, in all departments. Yet, the fact that there was a store full of employees working. Yet, they only had one cashier working. With a line of about eight people and it was going very slow. Why no one called for another cashier. I have no clue. Especially since more than one employee came up to the cashier. While the line was getting longer. Yet, no one stepped in to help. One of them seemed to be the manger. It's like being at a bank with teller and a manger just standing there doing nothing. Customers were upset and complaining. I bought the $80 Macy's gift card as a gift for my sister-in-law. When she attempted to use it at a Macy's store, she was informed that the card had already been used--it had been cloned. The PIN number on the card had been carefully scratched, which we now realize was a red flag. Not only was the card unusable, but my sister-in-law was left embarrassed at the store due to this incident. Despite providing this documentation, and repeatedly following up since March, Safeway has yet to resolve this issue. As of today, August 1, 2025, I have not received a refund or replacement, and the matter remains unresolved. This delay is unacceptable. I met their volume and screamed 'YOU KNOW BEING THIS LOUD IN HERE IS SUPER DISRESPECTFUL, RIGHT?!' The kids did lower their volume but the adults still said nothing. One adult told the girl it was some 6th grader graduation thing. After he paid he had the audacity to say 'tell the owner I was here'.

Sure, the food is good and the prices are fair. But beware of the cowardly actions that go on inside this "family oriented" store with all of the cutesy ads. The cowards that run this store, like so many others all around town, allow those weasel "loss prevention" clowns to hassle and intimidate customers on a daily basis! And lest you think that this won't happen to you, all you have to know is that if you meet their perverted profiles of a shoplifter, whether or not ever having stolen anything in your life, they will harass you too. The owners of these security firms NEED to have "criminals" to keep up their sleazy business practices, which are undoubtedly in violation of our US Constitution. Their actions include reading your license plates upon entering their lots, viewing your images as you enter the store, and then having a number of these losers invade the store to harass you, with the intent of driving you away from the store for good, because you don't care to be constantly harassed. This also entails them learning your pattern of store movements, then having their clowns (often new refugees to America) station themselves in the exact areas that you normally visit when shopping any given store. These losers, who are seldom, if ever sworn officers of the law, typically float from store to store within shopping malls, and must be in the employ of some large corporate pukes who have a long-time history of tailing, intimidating and harassing people. Of course, the public is actually paying for this insanity by increased grocery prices, and employee's loss of increased wages. Another very disturbing part of this underhanded, unAmerican activity by our Police State, so prevalent everywhere now, is that these "loss prevention" fools put their greasy hands on all kinds of food items, which they very likely are returning to the stores, after playing their pretend shopping games. This, potentially, is a very dangerous practice happening daily, and one that needs to be investigated by the State of California. Now, I'm sure this all sounds too unimaginable to be going on in our local, hometown stores, including the smallest ones. But I promise you that you will realize, in time, that what is mentioned above is in fact true, although hard to believe. I have personal knowledge of those who have been involved in this practice. Also, it would behoove the store owners to realize that they are tolerating illegal, unconstitutional acts within their establishments that go far beyond their rights to prevent loss. read more

Don't know what could be said that hasn't already been said! I like this location. Easy parking, friendly employees and always something you walk out with that you hadn't intended to buy. Doesn't help that I get their Trader Joe ads (they look like old fashioned newspapers) that highlight all the new products! My only pet peeve is that some of the brands have been replaced with Trader Joe brands. For instance, my favorite bouillon "Better Than Bouillon" is no longer carried by them, they have their own label and it is an entirely different product! Love the sampling area which always has smiling people. I suspect that employee turnover is quite low at this location, which is a good thing. I have so many favorites that I buy, their ginger & cashew granola is the bomb! It isn't always in stock though (hope it isn't discontinued). Their pork potstickers taste pretty authentic and you can always find an interesting vodka. Last time I was here, Cupcake came out with a berry vodka and it was only $10 a bottle. Score! read more

Trader Joe's is my go to. This one is new to me however, coming from the bay area. i was greeted right away, and the flowers were so very welcoming on the way in, even if it was a little bit of a madhouse with all of the carts parked there. I could t find one of my usuals, but an helpful employee stopped what they were doing to help me track it down. unfortunately it wasn't available, but it was nice to know for sure. but i did get some chocolate peanut butter cups on the way out! a classic! i was in a different line but a lady from a different register came and got me with a smile to her register. Tori was super cheery and me an honest review on my pasta dinner i hadn't tried yet. she even loaded up my cases of waters for me. Lee came to bag my groceries even though i didn't ask her to. both of them were nice and you could tell they were having fun at work. i got to meet the manager on the way out, which was nice, since this will be my new store. read more

Bold face lie or stupidity? Of course some quality goods but only to those who can get there during their business hours. The manager said they close at 9 pm because the store loses money. 20 minutes before 9 their must have been 30 people in the store; yet 2 people with me couldnt get in after 9 on 1 occasion. A small town like Chico can stay open till ten no problem; but big city Sacramento has to close at 9. Ive found a few items I like at TJs; been shopping in other towns for 20 years. Just a thought; make do without like the others who get off work late. Tjs can afford to lose my business; but what stupid reason for it when their small town stores are open till 10. I love my neighborhood Trader Joes. The staff is always friendly. And when you buy a bad product, they insist you let them know so that they can refund your money. They were out of the dark cocoa bars during the Holiday months and gave me the more expensive ones that they sell at the front of the check out lines for the same price. The wine guy is always happy to make a great recommendation based on your desires and he usually gets it right. There are some things at Trader Joes that are must-have items so I'm usually there at least once a week. Love the quality of their products too! read more

Hands down, the worst Trader Joe's in the valley. it's SMALL, poor selection of goods. This place only carries the most basic of Trader Joe's inventory. I once asked a tall thin clerk (Ryan), "Do you have organic berries?". He scratched his head and said, "Ummmm, I'm not sure". He seemed like he didn't want to bother with me, very apathetic. I asked him if he would mind looking into it for me. I never saw him again. Rude. I can find cereal, yogurt, eggs, rice, and dried fruit. All the basics.. but the other Trader Joe's locations are bigger, and much better stocked. read more

Love, love, love Trader Joe's. Their milk is the best! I get all my dairy, butter, cheese, eggs here...so reasonably priced. Pre-cut veggies in a bag...especially butternut squash, HUGE plus (have you ever tried to cut butternut squash?) as a long time shopper of trader joes I will say this store is staffed with mostly friendly and knowledgeable people. and they will help you and answer any questions you might have. it gets bust on weekends(but what store doesn't) so I shop there on other times to avoid the crowds.
