    Trader Joe's 18yrs whiskey
    Jerry K.

Trader Joe"s 18 yrs old Whisky- game changer for affordability and quality. Im not an expert, but I love my whisky. Strong vanilla on the tongue with a hint of some floral notes and finished with a bit of smokey goodness. Overall smooth with the alcohol evaporating away without the harsh bite. Good job Joe! Not all locations carry it. You may have to hunt around.

The sole reason why the Marketplace Long Beach center is staying afloat (IMHO). Dead businesses surround the premises of the Marketplace Long Beach. However, Trader Joe's is the anchor store which supports all the adjacent businesses. I've been here many a-time, and have enjoyed shopping here. This location has more registers than the Cerritos location. However, it does feel a bit more cramped during checkout. Also, the public restroom is located far back inside the inner workings of the building. Sorta akin to an Italian restaurant leading guests through the kitchen prior to seating. The Cerritos Trader Joe's still has my heart, but the Marketplace Long Beach Trader Joe's is a must visit, whenever I happen to frequent 2nd & PCH, or the surrounding area.

Parking is always hectic in their shared lot, and the aisles are hectic with shoppers, and there's always 25 workers restocking the shelves exactly where the thing is you're looking for and let's be real the whole vibe here is hectic lol but the one saving grace is the quick checkout and friendly cashiers. They're usually pretty upbeat and not in a cringey way. The lines are never too long. And they have the best cookies ever, the chocolate vanilla crème JoeJoe's! Photos by my 4 year old!

this is my favorite TJs to visit when i lived in LB and when i visit and need to pick up groceries! they have the friendliest team members and everything is usually in stock. this location has very high foot traffic, esp on the wknds! i needed to pick up bananas, unfortunately, they only had organic, which was fine so i picked up a bunch i also purchased the danish kringle (the BEST kringle ever!!) in the pecan flavor i loved the almond and now patiently waiting for raspberry! parking: spacious lot, may need to circle a few times if you want close parking. otherwise no issues if you park further away

Was a bit of a mad house today. I just came for steak and cereal lol. Extremely busy, and the empty are always so nice here. I gotta come back after the thanksgiving madness lol

The best reasons to go to this TJ's are roomy aisles, great flower selection, and the store isn't too cold. Doesn't feel like a walk-in freezer. Probably cuz it's Orange County parking is never an issue. Well stocked, employees are friendly and knowledgeable as usual. The employees enjoy working here, a laid back, team-oriented work environment. Plus they have cool contests (see pic). More Trader Joe's need to have fun contests!

I just don't know what's going on with the fruits lately. Purchased on Sunday and already molded and/or gone bad. I had to toss out the raspberries, the grapes, the blackberries and the cantaloupe.

They have all your typical liquor store needs: alcohol, sodas, snacks, beach items, etc. But they also come packed with fruits and veggies and favorite premade lunch/dinner items. You'll find an extensive selection of coleslaw, sandwiches, desserts, pre-marinated meats and more. I recently grabbed a turkey sandwich on a hoagie roll and a slice of lemon bundt cake (my payment for doing a social activity.) I noticed several people ordering their large steamed artichokes, so I'll need to return to fully understand the hype! Their catering menu is pretty extensive - it legit includes 20+ meat options. Customer Experience At the beginning of this month,I went…read moreshopping at Lazy Acres with my husband,I have been a customer for a few years now,and I have generally had positive experiences with the cashiers there, particularly because I have food allergies and specific dietary needs that make this store especially useful for me. During this particular visit, however,we had an extremely uncomfortable experience with a male cashier,While we were unloading our groceries, I took out my EBT card to pay,Before it was our turn, I noticed the cashier having a friendly conversation with the customer ahead of us. However, when the cashier saw my EBT card, his demeanor noticeably changed,I observed what appeared to be an eye roll and a change in his attitude toward us. As the cashier continued scanning our groceries, he began handling most of our items very aggressively. Among them were glass jars of Mount Hagen coffee. My husband noticed the way our items were being handled, As our transaction continued, the cashier appeared increasingly irritated,He was sighing, making audible noises, and seemed visibly annoyed while scanning our groceries,At one point, he was looking through a book to find the price of some yellow long peppers we had purchased, and his demeanor continued to appear frustrated and uncomfortable and angry. Near the end of the transaction, while my husband and I were bagging our groceries, my husband asked him, "I'm sorry, are you okay? The cashier responded, "Why? Are you guys scared? We both found that response inappropriate and confrontational, especially considering that we were simply trying to complete our purchase. I want to be very clear,I cannot know for certain what was going through this employee's mind,However, the timing of the change in his demeanor particularly after he saw my EBT card made my husband and I feel that we were being treated differently because we were paying with EBT,His behavior throughout the transaction left us feeling uncomfortable, judged, and unwelcome. I also want to emphasize that this is not my normal experience at Lazy Acres. I have been shopping there for years and have never had an issue like this with the other cashiers. This experience stood out specifically because of how different his behavior was. If Lazy Acres has employees who have negative attitudes toward customers using EBT or other forms of public assistance? I believe that needs to be addressed through appropriate training and management. Customers should not feel embarrassed, judged, or uncomfortable because of the method they use to pay for their groceries. I am leaving this review because I would like Lazy Acres management to take this seriously and look into what happened. I believe I still have my receipt from the transaction, and I would appreciate someone from the store contacting me directly so I can provide the details of the visit and hopefully have this matter addressed. I shop at Lazy Acres in part because the store carries products that accommodate my dietary needs. I should be able to shop there without feeling uncomfortable or judged, and my husband and I should not have to experience what felt like passive-aggressive or confrontational treatment from an employee simply while trying to purchase our groceries.

The majority of the staff I have encountered--outside of one kind gentleman who is technically a third-party representative and not directly employed by the Aldi brand--have been truly unprofessional. Although there is no excuse for this behavior, it does not appear to stem from dissatisfaction with their jobs. In fact, many of the employees seem content. Rather, it is the attitude and manner in which certain clientele are treated that comes across as distasteful and disrespectful. On multiple occasions, I have witnessed and experienced childish tactics from employees. This has included making comments such as, "You better move out of the way," as customers are navigating the aisles. There have also been instances where employees appeared to aggressively toss or move boxes directly beside customers as they were attempting to pass by. While I understand that inventory stocking occurs throughout the day, there are professional standards and common courtesy practices that should be maintained during business hours. From time to time, there are also aggressive customers who behave as though they are entitled to bully others simply because they believe they can. Example: The cart return area has three lines for customers to choose from. On one of these occasions, I was placing my cart back and gathering my groceries when, out of nowhere, I saw another customer mad-dashing toward where I was standing. She then aggressively started yelling, name-calling, shouting, and scoffing in the most unladylike fashion. She gestured that she needed to return her cart; mind you, there were two or three other lanes that were open and available. Yet, she was insistent upon badgering me to drop everything I was doing during my grocery experience to appease her ill repute. Absolutely not. I am unsure whether she may have been attempting to scam me, as she was desperately trying to get me to leave my fully loaded shopping cart unattended, exposing my wallet and groceries. The security who had been on duty and watching the incident did nothing to prevent further harassment. Noting, a continuation of "selective" targeting and job performance. I've also noticed that some of the security will abandon their position to go stand in certain areas of the store and touch store product. I found this odd as I do not see how that is conducive to their "supposed" role of providing safety. Unfortunately, the negative attitudes displayed by some employees seem to mirror this same energy, creating an unnecessarily uncomfortable shopping environment. Nonetheless, I genuinely enjoy the Aldi brand and appreciate the products they offer. For that reason, I will likely continue shopping at this location. However, it would be in Aldi's best interest to address the conduct of some of the individuals representing the business. Improved professionalism, stronger customer service standards, and greater accountability would significantly enhance the overall shopping experience.
